      The bodyguard of Lionel Messi goes by the name Yassine Chueko.
      He is a former soldier of the United States Army and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Navy Seal, according to La Nacion.
      Chueko is on Instagram and has shared several videos of himself, involved in Mixed Martial Arts, and also trying his hand at fights.
      He has over 217,000 followers, including Messi and his former teammate at Paris Saint-Germain, Sergio Ramos.

      How long has Yassine Chueko been the bodyguard of Lionel Messi?
      Chueko was recommended by former England captain and co-owner of Inter Miami, David Beckham to be Messi’s bodyguard.
      However, he is not the only one with the responsibility to keep the footballer safe.
      There is reportedly a team of 50 members, led by Chueko, which works round the clock to ensure Messi is kept safe during his time in Maimi.
      During matches, his responsibilities include patrolling the pitch’s perimeter and monitoring Messi’s every movement.

      Chueko has been an internet sensation ever since Messi arrived in Miami.
      His unwavering commitment to ensuring the Inter Miami captain’s safety has been recognised by fans.
      On October 8, 2023, the bodyguard was seen prowling the touchline at matches, ready to pounce if any supporter tried to get close to the footballer.
      Following the end of the game against Cincinnati, one young supporter raced onto the pitch in the hope of getting a selfie with Messi.
      However, they were quickly intercepted by Chueko as he jumped in to lead away the young fan.
      Despite rushing in to stop the fan Chueko was praised for his reaction after then letting the child meet his hero and take a selfie.
      Fans also noticed the bodyguard sprinting up to the touchline during the game to remain close to the Argentina star.
      How much does Yassine Chueko earn as Lionel Messi’ bodyguard?
      Chueko is reportedly paid $250,000 (£198,000) annually to watch over Messi.
      However, other reports suggest his salary could actually be upwards of $3 – $3.5million.
      As he is providing round-the-clock protection, it’s likely the higher end of the scale.
      Chueko has also been offered a salary of up to $50,000 to become My.Club’s Martial Arts Ambassador.

      KSI and Tommy Fury will headline a star-studded Misfits Prime card on Saturday night.The internet sensation will be hoping to defy the doubters and beat the Mancunian on his home turf.

      But this is likely to accelerate due to his fight with Logan Paul in Manchester.
      The controversial American mixed martial arts fighter has not fought in any combat discipline since a win over Max Humphrey in March 2021.

      The UK and Ireland have had their bid to host the 2028 Euros confirmed in a Switzerland ceremony today. The British Isles bid was unopposed after Turkey pulled out to instead focus on a joint pitch with Italy for Euro 2032.

      While host nations are usually given a bye in terms of qualifying for the tournament, there is talk that all five nations could be made to qualify this time round – with two ‘backstop’ qualification spots available for those who miss out.
      Euro 2028 will be held over five countries – England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland – the host stadiums were announced in April.
      Which ten stadiums are hosting Euro 2028?
      Wembley Stadium in London is expected to host the final and is one of six English stadiums included on the announced list.
      Also making the cut are Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London, Etihad Stadium in Manchester, Everton’s new home at Bramley-Moore Dock and St James’ Park in Newcastle.

      Rounding out the list of chosen venues are Hampden Park in Glasgow, the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, a newly redeveloped Casement Park – which will now hold over 34,000 – in Belfast and Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
      Cardiff are vying to host the opening game, and ex-Wales captain Gareth Bale – who attended the announcement ceremony in Nyon – said: “As a Welshman, I would love for Cardiff to host the opening match.”
      Why have Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Anfield and the Emirates not been chosen?
      But some fans have raised questions over why some of the most famous venues in English football have been rejected – Manchester United’s Old Trafford, Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge, Anfield in Liverpool and Arsenal’s Emirates have all not been selected to host.
      The reason for Anfield and Stamford Bridge missing out is due to the fact that their respective pitch sizes do not meet Uefa regulations for international tournaments.
