Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou: UK start time, live stream, TV channel, rules, ring-walks, undercard for epic Saudi bout

TYSON FURY will return to the ring to face UFC legend Francis Ngannou in a historic crossover fight THIS WEEKEND.The WBC champion and the MMA star have been going back and forth with one another on social media for the best part of two years.

TYSON FURY VS FRANCIS NGANNOU: ALL THE DETAILS YOU NEED AHEAD OF HUGE CROSSOVER CLASH
Fury and Ngannou will now take to the ring to end their long-standing online feud.
A shock showdown between the pair was mooted after Ngannou entered the ring and faced off with Fury following the Gypsy King’s knockout win against Dillian Whyte at Wembley back over a year ago.
The fight went cold as Ngannou was still contracted to UFC and MMA mogul Dana White refused to entertain the bout.
But now the 37-year-old walked out on the UFC at the start of the year and instead signed for rivals The Professional Fighters League.

The PFL gave Ngannou the green light to make his dream switch to boxing.
And it paved the way for him to climb right to the top of the tree to challenge the lineal champion Fury.
A win for Ngannou would be among the sport’s greatest shocks while Fury would suffer a disastrious defeat.
After all, he’s already lined himself up a huge fight against Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight titles.

So legacies and reputations are on the line this Saturday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
    Who are their trainers?
Fury linked up with Sugarhill Steward – nephew to the legendary Emanuel – before his 2020 rematch with Deontay Wilder.
The pair have since won all four of their bouts together, including two wins over Wilder, with all of the victories coming by stoppage.
Ngannou’s striking coach has long been former kickboxer Dewey Cooper, who will be in his corner against Fury.
As will his head MMA trainer Eric Nicksick and boxing icon Mike Tyson, who has mentored Ngannou throughout his camp.

What belts are on the line?
As Ngannou is making his professional boxing debut – and therefore not ranked by the WBC – he cannot challenge for Fury’s belt.
But the WBC are involved in the spectacle showdown and have introduced a “Riyadh Champion” belt.
Fury’s brother Tommy won a similar “Diriyah Belt” in February following his win over Jake Paul.
The Gypsy King is the lineal champion, so a win for Ngannou means he would be deemed the mythical champ.

What happened in Fury’s last fight?
Fury suffered frustration last year as he failed to get fights with Anthony Joshua or Usyk over the line.
So he had to settle with an unwanted trilogy bout with Derek Chisora, who he had twice stopped in the past.
The trilogy at Spurs’ 62,000-seater was as one-sided as it could be with Fury winning in ten rounds.
It proved to be nothing more than a runout for Fury, who again set his sights on Usyk.

What happened in Ngannou’s last fight?
Ngannou left the UFC after a five-round decision win over Frenchman Ciryl Gane in California.
And he was expected to meet Jon Jones in a heavyweight super-fight.
But talks between Ngannou and the UFC broke down amid a disagreement in terms.
So it allowed the Cameroonian to cross over to the boxing ring.

    How much will they make?
Tyson and Francis Ngannou are reportedly set to receive a lucrative paycheck after their highly-anticipated fight.
According to Sport Bible, Ngannou will earn a staggering £6million for this bout.
That is 10 times more than what the 37-year-old made in his last UFC fight in 2022 before he quit Dana White’s promotion.
Fury’s earnings haven’t been confirmed yet but it is safe to imagine he will pocket even more from the oil rich nation.
The Mancunian made $5m (£4m) as a base purse for his third fight against Deontay Wilder two years ago.
When is Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou?

Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou will take place this weekend on Saturday, October 28.
The bout will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Expect ring-walks to get going from around 10.45pm UK time.
The fight will be a 10-round professional fight but Fury’s WBC belt will NOT be on the line.
Exhibition rules will NOT be in place.

What channel is Fury vs Ngannou on and can it be live streamed?

Fury’s clash with Ngannou has been confirmed to be shown live on TNT Sports Box Office in the UK.
TNT Sports have confirmed that the PPV price will cost fans £21.95 which is cheaper than Tommy Fury’s win against KSI.
You can live stream the action from the TNT Sports Box Office app, which is available for download onto your mobile or tablet device.

    Fury vs Ngannou full card
Perhaps the tastiest fight on the undercard is between Davie Adeleye and Fabio Wardley.
The pair came to blows at the Fury vs Ngannou press conference last month and Wardley was left bloodied.
Full card below (subject to change):

“He’s on my hit list in an exhibition fight, however he wants it: in a cage, in a boxing ring, boxing gloves, UFC gloves, we can make it happen. I think everyone wants to see it.
“He’s a monster of a guy, I’m a monster of a guy, so it will be a clash of the titans for sure.”

Why is Barcelona vs Real Madrid NOT on TV this weekend? All you need to know ahead of Jude Bellingham’s El Clasico debut

Bellingham has been Los Blancos’ best player this season, scoring 11 goals in 12 games so far.
Barcelona are currently third in La Liga, 1 point behind Real Madrid, who sit top of the league.
A win over their big rivals would put them at the summit of the table, unless second place Girona win at the weekend.
It should be a cracking fixture, but fans in the UK won’t be able to watch it.

Why is Barcelona vs Real Madrid not on TV?
Barcelona vs Real Madrid will take place at 3.15pm BST on Saturday, October 28.
But because of the UK’s 3pm TV blackout rule, fans over here won’t be able to catch the game.
The rule states that no football can be broadcast live between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays.
Not many knew that the rule extended to games being played in foreign leagues, but the rule is there to encourage fans to attend stadiums on a Saturday instead.

Keegan Pierce, managing director of LALIGA UK & Ireland, said: “We’re disappointed that British fans cannot watch ElClásico this weekend, due to the UK’s self-imposed Saturday 3pm blackout rule.
“While we fully support measures to promote attendance up and down the pyramid, we believe the blackout should be limited to televising of domestic football, not overseas competitions, who have no voice nor vote in the matter.
“This is a topic we look forward to discussing with football stakeholders in the UK during the coming months.” More

Why are Saudi Arabia called KSA on TV when playing football?

EAGLE-EYED football fans may have spotted Saudi Arabia being referred to as KSA on TV.But why is this abbreviation used, how many World Cups have Saudi Arabia played in and who is currently in the squad? Here’s everything you need to know.
Saudi Arabia’s name gets truncated to KSA on World Cup scoreline graphics
Why are Saudi Arabia called KSA on TV?
KSA stands for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – the country’s official name, which when abbreviated fits inside the small space allocated to the game’s scoreboard on TV broadcasts.
The country was founded as a kingdom in 1932 by King Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
According to reports, both FIFA and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) use the KSA abbreviation.
However, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) uses SA.

How many times have Saudi Arabia played at the World Cup?
In 2022, Saudi Arabia sealed their spot in Qatar and made their sixth appearance at the World Cup.
The national team made their first World Cup debut in 1994 – when they reached the last 16 in the USA.
They became the second Arab team in history to reach the round of 16 of a World Cup after Morocco at the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
Saudi Arabia then returned to the competition in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018, and 2022.

In the latest World Cup competition, the team beat eventual champions Argentina 2-1, however, they later lost the following matches against Poland and Mexico.
As a result, Saudi Arabia were knocked out fourth in the group stage.
In September 2023, Saudi Arabia launched their bid to host the 2034 World Cup – pushing back their initial plans to stage the 2030 tournament.
The Saudi FA released a statement which read: “Today, we enter the next chapter of Saudi football: intending to bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
“Our bid is inspired by Saudi Arabia’s transformation journey, the passion of our fans, and a commitment to deliver an amazing tournament.”
What other competitions have Saudi Arabia competed in?
Aside from competing in the World Cup, Saudi Arabia have also competed in a number of other competitions.
They have won the AFC Asian Cup three times in 1984, 1988, and 1996 and have reached a joint record six Asian Cup finals.
Saudi Arabia are the first Asian team to reach the final of a senior FIFA competition at the 1992 King Fahd Cup – which would eventually become the FIFA Confederations Cup.
The national team also regularly participates in the Gulf Cup of Nations and Arab Nations Cup.
Who is in the current Saudi Arabia squad?
In August 2023, Roberto Mancini was named as the new manager of Saudi Arabia – two weeks after he resigned as Italy’s head coach, following five years at the helm.
Mancini’s contract is claimed to be worth a staggering £21.5million per year after tax.
Saudi Arabia were managed by Herve Renard at last year’s World Cup, but the Frenchman stepped down in order to join his own country’s women’s national team.

Why does Tyson Fury sing American Pie?

WORLD Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury is a man of many talents. As well as being a master of the art of boxing, the Gypsy King has also been known to belt out a song or two.

Why does Tyson Fury sing American Pie?
Tyson Fury likes to sing American Pie because the song’s verses “perfectly articulate Fury’s comeback story”, according to NME.
In October 2016, with an anti-doping case hanging over his head in relation to his use of cocaine and nandrolone, Fury vacated his WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles and admitted he came close to ending his life.
He has since made a remarkable comeback, going on to become a two-time world heavyweight champion by defeating Deontay Wilder for his WBC belt and defending it on three occasions.
Speaking about his fightback in 2018, Fury said: “If I can come back from the brink of defeat, I can do anything.

“I’ve shown what life is like on the other side of having no hope, nothing.
“But I know now it’s about being in a good place and the good is so much better than the bad.
“I’m sat here in a great frame of mind, and that’s worth anything that money can buy.
“At one stage I thought I would end up in a padded room never mind boxing, I didn’t think I was going to survive, I was on the verge of committing suicide.”

When did Tyson Fury first sing American Pie?
Tyson first sang American Pie at a press conference in the build-up to his first fight against Wilder.
Following that match-up with the Brown Bomber in December 2018, which ended in a controversial draw, Fury celebrated his performance by singing McLean’s song again at the post-fight press conference.
The heavyweight world champion has previous experience duetting with a singer too, appearing on Robbie William’s song Bad Sharon in 2019.
In 2019 Fury sang American Pie twice more — at a Nordoff Robbins charity event and during a Q&A style event in Glasgow.
Naturally, the Brit also sang American Pie when he reclaimed the world title by beating Wilder in 2020.
He has gone on to sing it a great many times, including on stage with Towie star Arg in Marbella, at a wild party in Las Vegas, while training on a beach in his hometown of Morecambe, after knocking out WWE start Austin Theory, and also at a glitzy charity event — to name but a few.
Have Tyson Fury and Don McLean collaborated on the song in the past?
Ahead of defending his heavyweight title against Dillian White in April 2022, Tyson joined forces with legendary singer-songwriter Don McLean to record a version of American Pie.
McLean’s famous hit, which has nearly 500million listens on Spotify, had a new spin put on it with Fury joining in on the chorus.
His duet with McLean concided with the 50th anniversary of the song and first aired on BT Sport — it was shown live at Wembley ahead of his successful title defence against Whyte.
What other songs is Tyson Fury known to sing?
Although his crooning may not be at the level of his pugilism, Fury doesn’t limit his repertoire to American Pie.
The other song he is most famous for singing is Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline, which Tyson even released as a charity single to raise money for a mental health charity.
The heavyweight champ sang Aerosmith tune I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing to wife Paris beating Tom Schwarz in 2019, belted out Oasis’ Don’t Look Back In Anger with a busker, serenaded promoter Bob Arum with Happy Birthday, sang with Robbie Williams on a festive duet, and performed We Are The Champions with a busker in Latvia.

He even sang an X-rated song to taunt Anthony Joshua in 2021.
But he did spark outrage by singing the N-word while rapping along to Notorious B.I.G’s Juicy at his 32nd birthday party in 2020. More

“I got wrapped up in barbed wire and was ripped to pieces… I remember I thought, ‘Me mam’s going to kill me’ because I tore me jumper.

Fury’s professional boxing career spanned eight years and in total, he was involved in 13 bouts before his last fight in 1995.
Over the years Gypsy John has welcomed six children.

Fury’s other children are Roman, Hughie and Shane – his only daughter, Ramona, tragically passed away months after birth.
Why did John Fury go to prison?
In 2011, Fury was found guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

Fury was released from prison in February 2015 after serving four years of his term.

Speaking to Betfred in 2021, he said: “For me being a traveling man and one in the great outdoors, well it was a horror story a nightmare, the worst kind of a nightmare is to be locked up.
“Especially when you’re used to being free and doing as you want to do and going where you want to.
“But clever people and strong people mind and body can adjust and I adjusted early on saying right, ‘I’m not going to get out of this but I thought it’s better than being dead.”
Asked if he got into trouble whilst he was serving time, Fury said: “No no, I didn’t.
“I kept myself to myself and I thought about it I thought, you know what I’ve got to keep my hands in my pockets here if I want to get out.

Who is Fabio Wardley and what’s his boxing record?

FABIO Wardley has gone from working in a recruitment office and competing in white collar boxing to being on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s mega-money showdown with Frances Ngannou. Here we take a look at the Ipswichian’s life, meteoric rise and boxing career.

    Who is Fabio Wardley?
Fabio Wardley, born on December 18, 1994, is a professional boxer from Ipswich, England.
He has been the British Heavyweight Champion since beating Nathan Gorman in 2022.
But just eight years ago Wardley was working as a recruitment consultant and playing football at the weekends, before doing four unlicensed fights for fun.
At the age of 22 he decided a desk job wasn’t for him and pursued a dramatic career change.

On Saturday, October 28 he defends his British heavyweight title against David Adeleye on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, where Mike Tyson will be in the Cameroon MMA fighter’s corner.
The Suffolk puncher, who credits being mentored by Dillian Whyte for his incredible career turnaround, is now not far off a world title shot.
“It’s a funny old world,” he grinned.
“It has been a wild ride and I’m really proud of it and happy to be able to ride it to the full extent.

“I started on small-hall shows selling tickets, little obscure shows in the middle of nowhere.
“I used to look at big shows and thing to myself ‘maybe I’ll have one big fight… I’ll have one big fight and end my career there’.
“I thought I might fight for the Southern Area or the English or maybe the British but it would be just one big fight, the last dance of my career.
“But now I’ve done it 10 times over. I just kept my head down and kept grinding and by the time I looked up I realised I’m in the thick of it.
“I always say I feel like I’ve gone from one side of the TV to the other.
“I’ve gone from being someone sat there watching it to the one in the main event. It’s a funny old world.”
Only a couple of years ago Wardley’s best boxing credentials were sparring sessions with Whyte and Oleksandr Usyk, but if he beats Adeleye he’ll be near the front of the queue for a world title shot if a December undisputed decider between Fury and Usyk leads to the belts being fragmented.
On the subject, Fabio said: “The division will be wide open in a couple of years.
“All the big names are at the back end of their careers.
“They all have maybe 1-2 years left, a few big fights each and then they will say ‘I’m good’.
“That leaves the door open for me and a few others in the division to move forward. Especially in British boxing, I’m at the forefront and I’m the next one.
“It’s a great position for me to be in. I can have a few more learning fights, tick off awesome milestones and by the time those doors open I’ll be fully fledged and ready to go.
“The big boys are still there doing their thing but I’m not that many steps behind.
“It’s an interesting thought and a funny place to be – in four or five fights fighting for a world title. It’s quite a surreal moment to stop and have a look at.”
What is Fabio Wardley’s boxing record?
At present Fabio’s immaculate record stands at 16 wins, 0 loses, and 0 draws, meaning he is currently undefeated.
During those 16 wins Wardley has stopped 15 of his opponents, so his current knock-out ratio is 93.75%.
In total he’s boxed 42 rounds, meaning his professional fights last 2.6 rounds on average.
    How heavy is Fabio Wardley?
Fabio has been putting on weight over his boxing career, generally getting heavier at each weigh-in before his professional fights.
At his last fight against Michael Polite Coffie, Wardley topped the scales at 242.6 pounds.
He competes as a professional boxer in the heavyweight division.
What belts does Fabio Wardley have?
    Fabio currently holds two belts.

What does the Man Utd badge mean?

MANCHESTER UNITED is one of the most followed football teams in the worldIn April 2023, the club’s iconic badge came under scrutiny as woke campaigners questioned its historic links.

What does the Man Utd badge mean?
The Manchester United club badge is one of the most recognisable in the world of football.
Over the course of the history of the club, the badge has evolved.
Originally, the club used Manchester’s coat of arms as its crest.
This featured three diagonal stripes, a globe and a ship, with the motto “Concilio et Labore”, which loosely translates as “by wisdom and effort”.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
The words Manchester United Football Club were added in the forties as the badge was reshaped into the familiar form we know today.
Legendary manager Matt Busby first coined the nickname the Red Devils in the 1960s, and the stripes were then replaced by the devilish figure in the 70s.
It is suggested he used it to try and inspire the players to be aggressive and fearless on the pitch.
Originally, the red devil design was drawn by cartoonist and ex-player Dennis Law.

The emblem now sees a shield with a red devil holding a pitchfork with a three-mast ship above it.
What does the ship on Man Utd badge mean?
The three-mast ship represents the historic connection between Manchester and the Irish Sea.
It is the only feature remaining from the city’s coat of arms, although is very different in appearance.
The ship represents the city’s global trading power during the industrial revolution.
In April 2023, campaigners called for the removal of the ship alleging it has links to a darker past of slavery.
    Historians have dismissed the claims.
Local Labour MP Graham Stringer said the “crazy” claim tarnished the northern city’s proud history of anti-discrimination.
He added: “Manchester had nothing to do with the slave trade.
“People from the city at the time of the US Civil War in 1861 protested against slavery.
“This is one of the craziest campaigns I have ever seen.”

What does the Man City badge mean?
Manchester City’s club badge contains a boat which is a reference to the Manchester Ship Canal, which opened in 1894, the same year Ardwick FC changed its name to Manchester City.
The ship canal was one of the biggest feats of engineering in the world at the time and the city of Manchester was very proud of it, hence its inclusion on the Manchester City badge.
It also incorporates the red rose of Lancaster which symbolises the county of Lancashire.
