England hero Bobby Moore’s missing 1966 World Cup final jersey ‘may be a FAKE’

AN ENGLAND shirt said to be Bobby Moore’s missing 1966 World Cup final jersey may be a fake, it was claimed last night.Bobby was wearing the iconic red shirt when he hoisted the Jules Rimet trophy at Wembley.

Ex-wife Tina believed it was safe in the attic of the home she shared with the Three Lions skipper in Chigwell, Essex.
She was stunned when it seemingly resurfaced in the hands of an anonymous private buyer who was putting it up for sale.
Now an expert says it might have been a spare — which would send its value plunging from around £10million to £10,000.
The collector, who does not want to be named, told The Sun: “The Bobby Moore 1966 shirt is the Holy Grail.

“The mystery shirt’s badge differs slightly to close-up pictures I analysed of Bobby’s shirt.
“From an enlarged photograph you can see that the white border at the top of the badge is clearly uneven, because the visible stitching is not straight.
“In pictures released of the shirt up for auction, the white border at the top is even.
“It’s a tiny detail but, in my opinion, very clear and very definitive.

“And in my opinion the shirt being auctioned is definitely not the shirt worn by Bobby in the ’66 final.
“It is most likely another spare.”
Tina, 79, and West Ham defender Bobby divorced in 1986 and Bobby remarried.
    He died in 1992.
There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by the would-be seller, but the family want to know how they got the shirt.   More

Sterling says hurting Chelsea stars ‘sit in changing room looking into space’ as they ‘can’t understand’ shock results

RAHEEM STERLING has a clear vision of what he wants out of life at Chelsea and what is expected of him.But from the outside it’s not easy to see anything but chaos and disorder from a turbulent season.

Sterling has admitted the squad is hurting due to the woeful run of formCredit: Jamie McPhilimey
Sterling was the first signing of new chairman Todd Boehly following a £4.25billion takeover 11 months ago.
And he admits the vast squad — including £545million of signings under Boehly — is hurting.
Two sacked managers, five defeats in a row, 11th in the Premier League.
All that’s missing is a Partridge and Pear Tree.

Well, that and a new manager coming in this summer to finally stop the ground shifting under everyone’s feet every time they try to take a step forward.
Sterling has managed only six full 90 minutes from a year in which he was hoping to latch onto the ingrained Chelsea philosophy of competing for major honours every season – and winning more often than not.
Instead he has found himself part of a woefully underachieving squad being regularly booed off by its own fans.
The £47.5million winger said: “You can’t have positives every day in life.

“Sometimes you have lows. I haven’t been in this situation in my career so far but I am more than up to the challenge.
“We are disappointed when we come off the pitch and feel angry and disappointed. There are times when we finish a game you just sit in the changing room looking into space because you can’t understand what has just happened.
“It’s tough to take. You are always trying to look for a positive solution.
“There will be conversations, players trying to come to terms with what has happened in the last ten minutes or so.
“It’s not easy. The feeling of winning games week in, week out is one that everyone in the dressing room is used to. So it’s what we enjoy and we want it back. To not have it this year is not the best.
“Performances haven’t been at the level they should, mine included. I haven’t been anywhere near my usual level.

“But football can be cruel and the more you try to fix something the worse it gets. If you fixate on something it can get worse.
“We need to look in the right direction and look to whoever comes in as the next manager to build for the future.
“We want the results and winning trophies to be the main attraction for the football club like it has been for so many years. That’s why I came here, because of the rich history and with the new owners and new direction it was a no brainer. And I have no regrets at all.
“That’s the beautiful thing. I enjoyed my time at my previous club and won a lot of trophies. But I like a new challenge and this is the challenge I signed up for.
“It’s a challenge I will overcome. It will taste even sweeter to win silverware coming from a moment like this than if you were winning every single week.”
Lose at Arsenal on Tuesday and it’s a sixth defeat in a row for Chelsea for the first time since 1993.
There has been upheaval in every corner of the club.
Sterling has played out of position half at least five times to suit the needs of the team.
Sterling said: “I haven’t complained about not playing in my position. I have come here with the intention of trying to do my part as best I can.
“From when the owners took over things have moved pretty fast. There have been a few turnovers in terms of coaches, people higher up than coaches have changed as well, it has been a process, a learning curve for everyone.
“And as a football club we are trying to get it right and we will get it right. It will take time but that doesn’t mean we accept it.
“We are much bigger than this and we have to get the next couple of months right and get back to the level we should be at.
“Initially coming here was a dream come true. That hasn’t transpired but again it’s still an energy, something inside me is still raring to go, knowing that there will be a turn for the better.
“The more things are put into place the better it will get so I haven’t given up on the vision that the owners gave me at the start. I know it will turn.”
Next season will be Sterling’s first without Champions League football since he joined Manchester City eight years ago.
He said: “It’s not something we are used to here and it is something we need to change. To do that we have to compete at a high level next year. It is one thing missing out on the Champions League one year the next is not being in it for a couple so we need to buck up our ideas.
“We can sit here and moan and look at the negatives but it will only make me stronger because I am looking to the happy times again.
“If we dwell on the negatives it’s going to go into next season and we won’t start on good terms. But if you take these negatives from this season and process them and use them to uplift yourself we can use the summer to come back stronger.

“The ability in the dressing room is undeniable and if we have someone who can take control of that we are more than capable of challenging every year.

I had Man City star Benjamin Mendy’s secret love child after holiday romance – he’s paying us £350 a month, it’s hard

MANCHESTER City footballer Benjamin Mendy has a secret love child from a Mediterranean holiday romance. This week it emerged that the Premier League ace is paying the mother Yolanda Aguera around £350 a month towards the upkeep of their daughter – after she demanded a four-figure sum.

The child, now aged three, was conceived after he met former bank worker Yolanda, 41, at a trendy hotel in Barcelona and went with her to a party at a mutual friend’s plush apartment in the city.
Mendy, 28, did not dispute paternity.
His £90,000 a week contract at Manchester City is said to expire in June and raises questions as to whether he will be able to pay the mortgage on his £4.8 milllion home in Cheshire.
He’s also been suspended without pay since September 2021 when he was charged with sex offences.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday, Yolanda, who lives in a small one-bedroom apartment in the city suburb of Badalona, said: “The last three years of single parenting have been hard.
“Initially I was getting up two hours every night to breastfeed and helping to look after my grandmother during the day before she went into a retirement home.
“Since my daughter started at nursery school this year I’ve had a bit more freedom to look for work but I’m having to focus on jobs that will enable me to fit in with her timetables.
“The money Ben is paying will help but I’m worried about how I’m going to make ends meet and ensure our daughter doesn’t want for anything.
    Most read in Football
“I was getting just over £400 a month in state benefits up until they ran out a week or so ago.
“My mortgage is £550 a month so at the moment I’m relying on the little savings I have and help from my parents.”
Yolanda added: “I would like Ben to be there for our daughter as she grows up.
“He hasn’t got any kind of meaningful relationship with her just now and has only seen her once when we flew to Manchester and visited him at his home in Cheshire.
“She loves playing football and is left-footed like her dad and if I have the money I’d like her to start extra-curricular activities in sport and music which she also seems to have a passion for when she begins proper school next year.”
Speaking about their holiday romance, Yolanda revealed they first met at the trendy W Hotel in Barcelona in July 2019.

Yolanda added: ‘He hasn’t got any kind of meaningful relationship with her (his daughter) just now’Credit: Darren Fletcher
She said: “I had gone along for a drink with a female friend and we got talking to him and his pals.
“The attraction was instant and mutual.
“There was music on the terrace and after we danced he sat me on his lap and we kissed.
“My friend told me he was a footballer because I had no idea who he was when we first met.
“We all ended up in a nearby apartment they seemed to be renting where one of Benjamin’s pals had offered to cook dinner.
“Before we sat down for the meal Benjamin took me by the hand and guided me towards a bedroom where we had sex.”
She realised she was pregnant five weeks later and became a mum following an emergency Caesarean on April 22, 2020.
Yolanda told Mendy about her pregnancy but did not name him as the father on the birth certificate although he has not disputed paternity.
Since then they’ve been trying to reach an agreement for care of their daughter.
Mendy went on trial last year at Chester Crown Court charged with seven counts of rape against four women, one attempted rape of a fifth alleged victim and a sexual assault of a sixth woman.
He was found not guilty of six counts of rape and the sexual assault but will face a retrial in June after the jury did not reach a verdict on one rape count and the attempted rape which he denies.
Mendy has agreed visiting rights to his daughter.
Yolanda, a Spanish citizen, said: “She’s adorable and always happy and she’s the spitting image of her dad.
“My mum was the first person who held her in her arms in the hospital and told me how similar they were the moment she saw her.
“I wouldn’t change her for the world. I had sleepless nights when I was pregnant wondering if I was doing the right thing by having her but the moment I had her in my arms she changed my life.
“She’s the most incredible person I have in my life and my reason for living.

“I wouldn’t turn the clocks back even if I could.
“God has rewarded me with this daughter. Being a mother right now means everything to me.”
