West Ham and Everton ‘leading Eden Hazard transfer chase with Real Madrid ready to make £130m loss on ex-Chelsea star’

EDEN HAZARD is reportedly looking for a move back to the Premier League with West Ham and Everton leading the race to secure his signature. The 30-year-old has been plagued with injury and fitness issues since arriving at Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer of 2019.

He has played 54 times across two and a half seasons, scoring just five goals for the Spanish giants.
As a result, Madrid, who signed him for an initial £88million rising to a potential £150m, are happy for him to leave for as little as £25.5m or £21m if a club can convince him to join on loan in January with a permanent option at the end of the campaign.
According to the Sunday Mirror, this is because Hazard earns a huge £416,000 per week.
This works out to an annual salary of £21.6m, a sum Madrid are desperate to get off their books.
However, Hazard is not keen to leave mid-season and would prefer to wait until the summer.
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is thought to have given his blessing for Hazard – who has not scored in 11 appearances this season – to leave the Bernabeu.

Speaking about Hazard’s future back in October, Ancelotti said: “Never in my career as a coach have I forced a player to stay when they want to leave.
“Hazard is ready, but his problem right now is that he has a coach who prefers other players, which can happen in a squad like this one.”
West Ham and Everton are thought to be the two Premier League clubs showing the most interest in bringing the Belgian back to England.
And if they can return him to full fitness then it could prove a masterstroke given his superb record in the Prem.
Hazard scored 111 goals in 352 appearances for Chelsea during a seven-year spell with the club.

Along with the Hammers and Toffees, Newcastle have also been linked with a move for the Madrid reject.
Outside of England, reports have suggested Hazard has ‘promised’ to sign for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
He has also been linked with a move back to Belgium to play for minnows KVC Westerlo. More

Everton ‘monitoring 17-year-old Morecambe wonderkid Connor Pye with view to transfer after impressing scouts’

EVERTON are rumoured to be eyeing Morecambe starlet Connor Pye with the player being touted as the next Andy Robertson.Football Insider claims Toffees scouts have been highly impressed by the 17-year-old’s efforts at left-back for the League One side.

The teenager, who joined the Shrimps from Wigan as an Under-16 prospect in 2020, is reported to have won plaudits for his performances in the EFL trophy contest.
And the defender was named Man of the Match in Morecambe’s clash with Hartlepool in the contest although his side lost 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 finish in normal time.
Pye’s rampaging and energetic playing style has seen him likened to Liverpool ace Robertson.
And the player, regarded as a leading figure within the Shrimps youth team, is claimed to regularly be training with the club’s first team as well as featuring on the bench for league games.
It is claimed a host of Premier League and Championship sides are interested in the full-back.
The Toffees, who host Watford in the top-flight next, are thought to be keen to line up a new left-back following the summer departure of Thierry Small.

The highly sought after Solihull-born defender ended his two-year scholarship deal with Everton to agree to a three-year deal with Southampton.
Football Insider reports the Toffees had turned down a £1.5million offer from the Saints for Small in October.
It is thought the Goodison Park giants were after £5million in compensation for the starlet.
Reports claim the Toffees are only likely to have around £9million to splash in the January transfer window.
And it is suggested transfer chiefs are looking to focus on temporary deals and bargain buys in the market.
It is believed Pye, whose team face Cheltenham away in the third tier, fits this criteria.

And it also comes ten months after the Scot signed a new contract with the Walton Hall Park team.
In an official statement on their website, the club said: “Everton can confirm that Willie Kirk has left his position as manager of the club’s women’s team.
“The club would like to thank Willie for his service and wish him well for the future.
“Willie was appointed in December 2018 and has played a key role in the progress of our women’s team and structure, making the club more competitive in the Barclays FA WSL and reaching the 2020 FA Cup final.
“Everton is aiming to have a new manager in post ahead of the club’s next match away to Leicester City in the Continental Cup on 3 November.”
Kirk, 43, had been Man United Women’s assistant manager for six months when he took charge of Everton in December 2018 when they were bottom of the WSL.

And the Edinburgh-born coach, who began his coaching career in Livingstone’s academy in 2006, guided the Toffees to sixth place in the 2019-20 season and fifth spot last term.
Everton, who reached the FA Cup finals last year where they were beaten by Manchester City, harbour ambitions of qualifying for the Champions League and competing with Europe’s elite sides.
And some pundits had tipped the club to push for a place in the WSL’s top three.
The Toffees have endured a challenging start to this season with the club currently eighth after three losses, including two 4-0 drubbings at home to Man City and away to Chelsea.
Unfortunately, this season has not started the way we anticipated, due to a very tough opening fixture list and the re-building of a squad with eight new playersWillie Kirk
However, the team did not lose to any side in the league outside of the Blues, Arsenal, Man City and Man United last term.
Kirk said: “I am thankful to the club for the opportunity that they gave me three years ago. During that time, we have made tremendous progress both on and off the pitch and I leave the club in a better place.
“Without a doubt, the highlight was the FA Cup final less than a year ago, a memory that will stay with me forever.

“Unfortunately, this season has not started the way we anticipated, due to a very tough opening fixture list and the re-building of a squad with eight new players.
“I have no doubt the talented squad that I leave behind can go on to have a very bright future.”

Everton readying £14.4m transfer offer for Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles and will ‘revive interest’ in January

EVERTON are interested in signing Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles for £14.4million in January, according to reports. It’s believed the versatile player, 24, was close to moving to Goodison Park in the summer before a deal was blocked late on by the Gunners.

According to ESPN, Maitland-Niles was set to join Everton on deadline day but remained at the Emirates after talks with manager Mikel Arteta.
Reports claim the Toffees will now try to sign the player permanently in January to give new manager Rafael Benitez more options.
Maitland-Niles is capable of playing anywhere in midfield and can also offer competition for incumbent Everton right-back Seamus Coleman.
The Arsenal ace is valued at £14.4m by Transfermarkt and has two years remaining on his existing Emirates deal.
Maitland-Niles hit out at Arsenal on Instagram in August, writing: “All I wanna do is go where I’m wanted and where I’m gonna play.”
He was reportedly banished from first-team training after the outburst but is thought to be back in the manager’s plans.

Maitland-Niles made just 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners last term and spent the second half of the season on loan at West Brom.
The five-cap England international has been at Arsenal since 2003, playing 123 senior games for the club in all competitions to date.
Maitland-Niles has won the FA Cup and Community Shield twice during his time at the Emirates and has also spent time on loan at Ipswich Town.
Boss Arteta has insisted the player remains in his plans despite the lack of game time under his leadership.
The Spanish coach said: “Any private conversations with players, on the role we believe they can have in the team, is always discussed openly but privately and that is how we resolve the matters.
“I am happy he has stayed, that was our intention and he is another player in the squad.”

Ex-PSG loanee Moise Kean deletes all Everton social media posts and writes ‘back soon’ after Messi transfer to France

MOISE KEAN has sparked talk of a summer exit after deleting all his Everton social media posts. The former Paris Saint-Germain loanee appears to have his heart set on a return to PSG.

Kean posted an Instagram Story which said ‘Back Soon’ with fingers crossed after Lionel Messi’s huge move to PSG.
The 21-year-old Italian enjoyed a successful loan spell at PSG last season despite the club missing out on the Ligue 1 title.
Kean scored 17 goals in 41 appearances for the French giants as he made an impact after a frustrating time at Everton.
PSG were linked with a loan move for Kean earlier this summer as he plotted a return to Paris.
But Messi’s arrival could scupper his hopes of a move back to PSG with the club needing to offload a host of players in an attempt to balance the books.
Messi will net a £25m signing on-fee on top of his take-home wages of £1million per week.
His huge salary is likely to force PSG to get rid of some squad players and their potent front line of Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe is the envy of Europe.

But it appears Kean does not see his future at Goodison Park, with the former Juventus striker removing all his Everton social media content.
Kean has kept his compilation videos of his time at Juve and PSG up and it is his biggest hint yet of a move away from the Toffees.
New Everton boss Rafa Benitez will not want to hold on to Kean if he is unhappy at the club and a summer move looks likely.

Everton and West Ham ‘in talks to sign Barcelona star Clement Lenglet in summer loan transfer’

EVERTON and West Ham are BOTH in talks with Barcelona over a loan deal for Clement Lenglet, according to reports. The France international made 48 appearances in all competitions last season but has fallen down the Nou Camp pecking order as of late.

According to reports, Barca have put the 26-year-old up for sale in a bid to reduce their astronomical wage bill.
And Spanish newspaper AS claims the Toffees and the Hammers have enquired about signing the centre-back.
They also suggest Lenglet is open to a move to the Premier League.
Lenglet joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2018, penning a five-year deal with the Catalan club.
The Frenchman became an immediate fixture in the starting XI due to Samuel Umiti’s injury woes.
But a number of errors in critical moments have seen the defender’s stock plummet.

Lenglet received a barrage of abuse on social media in February after giving away a last-minute penalty in Barca’s 1-1 draw with Cadiz.
And the defender was spotted crying in his car after the match.
Barca boss Koeman was quick to defend Lenglet, saying: “I spoke with Clement this morning.
“He’s a serious guy and a top professional. He’s taken this very personally.
“There are other things that happened in the game; one player alone is not to blame for dropping points.
“Yes, he could do better, and he’s made mistakes [this season], but we made mistakes in attack as well through other players.

And an offer could soon be made for Richarlison as Ancelotti looks to rebuild Real for the new season.
The Italian tactician stunned Everton when he quit last month for a return to the Bernabeu.
The Toffees have since appointed Rafa Benitez as Ancelotti’s successor at Goodison Park.
But his exit has fuelled doubts over the futures of some first-team stars.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United.
And James Rodriguez is said to be an AC Milan and Atletico Madrid target.
Brazil star Richarlison is now being tipped for an exit.
And it’s Ancelotti who is ready to unsettle his former team by launching a move.

The pair are thought to have held several telephone conversations about the possibility of a switch to the Spanish capital.
Richarlison scored 13 goals in 40 games for Everton last term.
And Ancelotti feels the forward would be a great squad option, given his ability to play anywhere across the front three.
Richarlison is currently on international duty, helping Brazil reach this weekend’s Copa America final against fierce rivals Argentina.
But once he is back in Europe, transfer talks with Real could accelerate.
