He said: “Make sure you’re all vaccinated, get your passports out because we’re going to Europe!”
Moyes has turned West Ham from relegation candidates to a top six side in the space of 12 months and achieved the almost impossible – uniting a club that looked split in two at the start of the campaign.
The fans are paid up members of his fan club, players have bonded behind the scenes and now there is a good chance they can even keep Declan Rice, for another year at least.
Moyes added: “I don’t think David Sullivan, David Gold or myself have got any intention of losing Declan Rice.

“We’ve just qualified for Europe and Declan’s a big part of that – and we want him to be a big part of what we do next year as well.
“I have to say a big thank you to the club for allowing me to get my teeth into the job.
“I think it’s a huge achievement from where we came from. We finished the bottom three last year and it was seen as an achievement.
“Now an achievement is being in Europe so I think this has been one of biggest steps we have ever made.

“Jumping this far so quickly has been absolutely huge. Great credit to the players, who have been brilliant from the start.
“If I have this exact team and this group of players next season then I think I’ve got a good chance.
“We’ve got a lot of hungry energetic players. I’m just hoping that I’m able to add similar characters.
“You need good players to be successful and I think the reason why we’ve been successful is because we brought in good players and this allowed others to flourish alongside.”
To even keep the same group, that means persuading Jesse Lingard to join on a permanent basis, but that may have to wait until Manchester United make a decision which could be as late as July.
Moyes added: “He’s done an exceptional job for us, but he’s not our player so we’ll see where we go from here.
“I hope Jesse has also appreciated it, I think we’re good for Jesse.
“Maybe there’s not many other clubs where he could have done what he’s done here. I think we’ve give him an opportunity and a platform.”

What happens if Chelsea finish fifth in Premier League and win the Champions League?

CHELSEA and Manchester City will meet in Istanbul on May 29 in the third all-English Champions League Final. And the Blues are still in a top four battle with Leicester and Liverpool heading into the final matches of the Premier League season.

But what does it all mean for European qualification for next season? SunSport explains:
How many Champions League and Europa League places do the Premier League get?
England has seven places, with the top four in the Prem qualifying for the Champions League.
Fifth in the table and the FA Cup winners go into the Europa League. And from this season onwards, the Carabao Cup winners go into the new Europa Conference League.
But Manchester City won the Carabao Cup. So now what happens?
That means the team finishing sixth take the Conference League spot, with a place in the final play-off round at the end of August.
Leicester and Chelsea played in the FA Cup final – does that impact things?
Assuming both of them finish in the top six – likely but not yet confirmed – it means sixth takes a Europa League place and SEVENTH in the table means the Conference League.
    But could things change again?
Yes – but that depends on the outcomes of the two European competitions.
Under Uefa rules, the Champions League and Europa League winners automatically qualify for the Champions League.
But Uefa also caps at a maximum of five the number of teams from ANY country in the Champions League and a total of seven teams in all competitions.

    Go on…what are you saying?
Well, if Chelsea win the Champions League and finish fourth, nothing happens. But if they finish fifth, they would join the top four in next season’s competition.
The Premier League said: “Should a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League they will automatically qualify for the group stage of next season’s competition regardless of their league finishing position.
“A maximum of five Premier League teams are eligible for UEFA Champions League qualification.”
Teams in sixth and seventh would then BOTH be in the Europa League.

    Why is it so complicated?
Chelsea finishing in the top four and Manchester United winning the Europa League would make it easier.
Then fifth and sixth are in the Europa and seventh in the Conference. More

They have landed £12m just for reaching the final.
Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes is finalising a new double-your-money deal worth £200,000-a-week.
Fernandes, 26, still has four years remaining on his current deal.

Dean Henderson AXED by Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as ‘top clubs go on alert’ for keeper as De Gea returns

MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper Dean Henderson is being monitored by several top European clubs, according to reports. The England stopper was AXED by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the match against relegated Fulham, throwing his Old Trafford future into doubt.

According to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old will only stay at United if he’s the manager’s first-choice goalkeeper next term.
Henderson had been enjoying an extended run in Solskjaer’s Premier League team, displacing long-standing No 1 David de Gea in March.
But the Spain international appears to have regained his mantle ahead of the Europa League final against Villarreal on May 26.
Henderson’s future may depend on whether he is picked for the showpiece event or United’s final Premier League game against Wolves on Sunday.
Speaking to Sky Sports before the match, Solskjaer admitted he’s still unsure which stopper will start against Villarreal.
The United boss said: “It was David’s turn to play, he has played in Europe and Dean Henderson mostly in the league.

“I will make up my mind after the last two league games [on who starts in the Europa League final].
“There are still a couple of places up for grabs.”
The ex-Sheffield United loanee came into criticism following United’s 4-2 home defeat to Liverpool, with club legend Roy Keane questioning his presence in goal.
Keane told Sky Sports: “He looks so small in the goals, that’s my worry [over] Henderson.”

Reports in February – before Henderson became United’s first-choice goalkeeper – suggested Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund wanted to sign the Englishman.
Chelsea and AC Milan were also believed to have been interested – and the news will put those clubs on red alert.
It is expected one of De Gea or Henderson will leave Old Trafford this summer as neither are said to be satisfied with being a reserve stopper.
United are set to discuss the pair’s future over the coming weeks and make a decision.

Man Utd given boost with Anthony Martial and Daniel James returning to training from injury ahead of Europa League final

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed a boost ahead of the Europa League final as Anthony Martial and Daniel James have returned to training. The Red Devils will face Spanish side Villarreal in Gdansk on Wednesday, May 26.

United’s official website has confirmed both players are in with a chance of being included in Solskjaer’s squad for their Premier League game against Fulham tomorrow.
Around 10,000 fans are expected to attend Old Trafford to watch the match after further easing of the government’s coronavirus restrictions.
Martial and James are unlikely to start against Fulham, however, and defenders Phil Jones and Harry Maguire will not be included in the 20-man squad.
Speaking to MUTV, Solskjaer said: “We had a couple of days off after the Liverpool match and we’ve welcomed Dan James back and Anthony Martial back so that’s big, big plusses for us.
“We didn’t lose any against Liverpool so we’re fit. We’re only missing Harry and Phil.
“They [Daniel and Anthony] have done all their rehab programmes and ticked all the boxes so a couple of days of training before the game with the team, but they’re not ready to start a game yet.
“Let’s see. Hopefully, we can get both of them on the pitch and give them some minutes.

The United boss also gave an updated on his captain’s fitness.
He said: “It’s still too early. We’re not at the testing stage yet. We’ll give him as much time as possible to recover.
“We’re not going to see him back in the league so hopefully we can welcome him back for the final. But I’m not sure.”
Maguire has missed just two Premier League matches for the club since his move from Leicester City in 2019, both of which United have lost.

The Red Devils, who face Wolves on the final day, need to win one of their final two Premier League games to finish second.
Victory against Villarreal in the Europa League final would end their four-year wait for a trophy.
But as the Spanish side’s final LaLiga fixture has been brought forward to Saturday, they will have an extra 24 hours to prepare for the final.
