Spartak Moscow 2-3 Leicester LIVE SCORE: Daka scores FOUR GOALS in epic Foxes Europa League comeback

LEICESTER are ahead in a crucial game in Moscow. The Foxes could hardly have got off to a worse start after a deflected strike from Aleksandr Sobolev crept in at Kasper Schmeichel’s near post.
Henrik Larsson’s son Jordan then doubled Spartak’s lead with a goal just before the break.
But straight from kick-off Patson Daka netted again following his strike against Man Utd to reduce the deficit to one goal.
And the Zambian then levelled the match three minutes before completing his hat-trick on 54 minutes to put Leicester ahead.
    74 MINS: SAVIOUR SOYUNCU
Samuel Gigot pounces on to the ball in front of the Foxes’ goal but Caglar Soyuncu is in to thump the ball clear.
    LATEST: SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 3
The Foxes seem content to try to take the sting out of Spartak’s modest revival.
They’ve definitely slowed the pace, passing the ball around more in defence.
But Leicester remain the superior team and look reasonably comfortable…(more apologies from me to Foxes’ fans for that ominous suggestion).
    70 MINS: KASPER SAVES
Schmeichel keeps out sub Ignatov’s deflected shot.
And Leicester centre-back Evans soon has a couple of tricky moments – which he just about deals with.
Victor Moses then swings in a corner for Spartak that the Foxes clear.
    LATEST: SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 3
The Russians briefly push forward – helped, perhaps, by a double substitution that has lifted the home crowd.
Top scorer Quincy Promes, who hit three goals in his past three matches, replaced Zelimkhan Bakaev.
And attacking midfielder Mikhail Ignatov came on for Roman Zobnin.
    67 MINS: EVANS CLOSE
Spartak just clear the ball from Jonny Evans after Maddison delivered a clever short corner.
65 MINS: LIMPING YOURI TAKEN OFF
Brendan Rodgers immediately replaces limping midfielder Youri Tielemans with Hamza Choudhury.
the game’s opened up now – with Spartak showing more urgency in pursuit of a leveller.
But Maddison and Co still look the more likely side to bag another goal.
Apologies to superstitious Foxes’ fans for making that observation…

    HERE’S THE HAT-TRICK MOMENT
Daka’s sensational afternoon peaked (so far at least) with this hat-trick goal as Leicester came from behind to lead 3-2.

THAT’S THE WAY TO TWO IT
Here’s Daka completing his hat-trick with two goals in the first three minutes of the second half.
Albrighton, who replaced Ricardo on the hour, has been busy at right-back as the Foxes maintain their fluent control.

    LATEST: SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 3
Marc Albrighton comes on for the Foxes and is instantly involved.
Meanwhile, Maddison and Tielemans play keep ball to frustrate Spartak even more
    WELL DONE, MY PATSON
Strike partner Iheanacho was first off the mark to congratulate Daka on his quick-fire triple.
And in fact it was Iheanacho down the right who almost teed up Daka for a FOURTH.
Iheanacho curled in a left-footed cross that Daka slid onto but put just wide.
    Credit: AFP
    PATS AMAZING
Daka’s incredible treble (45, 48 and 54 minutes) is no less than he or Leicester deserve as they have dictated this clash, despite falling 2-0 down in Moscow.
    DAKA HAT-TRICK!
Maddison and Tielemans rip the Spartak defence apart for Daka to rifle home between keeper Maksimenko’s legs on 54 minutes.
    GOAL! SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 3
    51 MINS: YOURI HEADS WIDE
Daka’s doubel to put hte Foxes level hasn’t clamed their attacking desires.
    And Tielemans nodded off target.
3 IN 2 GAMES FOR PATSON
Zambia frotnman Patson Daka has bagged his first three Leicester goals three goals in around 50 minutes.
The summer recruit from RB Salzburg came off the bench to round off Saturday’s 4-2 Premier League win over Manchester United in stoppage time.
And now he has struck on 45 and 48 minutes at Spartak.
Will it spark the Foxes’ second comeback win in four days?
    DAKA DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR FOXES
Iheanacho’s brilliant run down the left, ending with an unselfish ball across, enables Daka to tap home in front of a defender.
There’s a VAR check – but the goal stands.
    GOAL! SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 2
BOTTOM OF THE GROUP AS IT STANDS…
Leicester and Napoli are both on just one point, as it stands.
Legia Warsaw and Spartak Moscow would have six points and the top two places – IF everything stays the same.
2ND HALF UNDER WAY: SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 1
Spartak kick off but if the Foxes can go anywhere like matching their first-half total of chances and possession then they should be very confident of earning at least a draw.
    VARD LUCK, JAMIE FANS
Russians hoping to see ex-England striker Jamie Vardy must have been disappointed to see him relegated to the bench this afternoon.
But what price a crucial intervention from the pacy poacher late on?

    DAK TO THE FUTURE?
And here’s a glimpse (almost) of Daka reducing the deficit – showing again he could emerge as a huge Leicester star.

    SOB STORY
Here’s a look at that Sobolev opener for Spartak.
Spartak Moscow 1-0 Leicester Leicester behind early on!It’s Spartak’s Aleksandr Sobolev with the goal the striker’s shot is deflected towards the near post and the Foxes keeper can’t keep it out! pic.twitter.com/mGqq0mzmV3— Lilian Chan (@bestgug) October 20, 2021

    JOR HAVING A LAUGH
Spertak could hardly believe it when they mocked Leicester’s overwhelming amount of possession by making it 2-0 through Jordan Larsson.
    Credit: AFP
But fortuitously Daka finished with supreme coolness to surely give the Foxes some sort of psychological edge at the interval.
Amazingly Brendan Rodgers had FOURTEEN first-half chances, compared to Spartak’s six.
    Credit: AP
    H/T: SPARTAK 2 LEICESTER 1
The Foxes dominated possession and chances yet trail at the break.
Sobolev’s early opener for Spartak defied Leicester’s fine start.
And the Foxes could have even been in front by a couple of goals by the time they allowed Victor Moses to sneak in and tee up Larsson for Spartak’s second on 44 minutes.
Patson Daka instantly made it two goals in two games to halve the deficit and surely leave Leicester confident of a comeback in the second half.
    TWO GOALS IN TWO MINS
Jordan Larsson punished dozy Foxes’ defending by doubling Spartak’s lead on 44 minuters.
But straight form the kick-off Daka pounced to make it 2-1.
And that’s how it stayed at the break – certainly an unlucky scoreline for Leicester.

Watch Turnbull miss sitter but score with SLIDE TACKLE and Furuhashi net stunning goal as Celtic beat Ferencvaros 2-0

CELTIC picked up their first Europa League win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Hungarian side Ferencvaros.David Turnbull secured the win with one of the scrappiest goals you’re ever likely to see.

Kyogo Furuhashi gave the Scottish club the lead after 57 minutes, finishing off a sumptuous piece of play.
Jota Filipe played a sensational direct pass through to the Japanese forward and he made no mistake from inside the penalty area.
Ange Postecoglou’s team doubled their advantage nine minutes from time – but Turnbull will be relieved his blushes were spared.
The midfielder was found just eight yards out but fluffed his lines, completely missing the ball as it ricocheted off his standing foot.
Fortunately, the Scot had the awareness to slide in to try and recover the ball.
The desperate attempt then resulted in the ball ending up in the back of the net as it cannoned in off the leg of the outstretched Balint Vecsei as it went down as an own goal.

The win moves Celtic off the bottom of Group G as they leapfrog Ferencvaros into third.
Postecoglu’s men were beaten 4-3 by Real Betis in a thrilling Europa League opener in September.
And two weeks later they were then comprehensively outplayed by Bayer Leverkusen, losing 4-0 in front of their own fans.

Emreli’s strike sent the home support into a frenzy as they celebrated a famous victory over the former Premier League champions.
Brendan Rodgers’ men struggled to make an impact away from home.
But despite also drawing their first group game 2-2 against Napoli, Rodgers has dismissed suggestions Leicester could crash out of the Europa League at the group stage.
He said: “I’m disappointed with the result.

West Ham 2 Rapid Vienna 0: Rice and Benrahma maintain perfect start but fan violence mars Hammers’ Europa League win

DECLAN RICE shows no sign of being just a master of sideways passes as he fired West Ham to victory.Rice laughs off claims from his critics he is unable to play in advanced areas of the pitch and has set about proving so in Europe.

Having scored a brilliant solo goal in the win at Dinamo Zagreb, the England star made it two from two in the Europa League to see off Rapid and leave the Hammers in control of Group H.
And having been hailed as the best young midfielder in Europe by his boss this week, the 22-year-old is doing his talking where t matters – on the pitch.
It may only be a lesser tournament for the giant clubs in England, but for West Ham being in the Europa League means everything to them.
Qualification for the competition and the impressive start the team has made this season have ensured a real feel-good feeling around the club.
That celebratory feeling extended to the club using their first home game in the tournament to paid tribute to the side who won the European Cup-Winners Cup back in 1965.
On Wednesday a statue of heroes Bobby Moore, Martin Peters and Sir Geoff Hurst was unveiled – and the World Cup hat-trick scorer chose the occasion to tell current star Rice to go and win the competition this year.

Violence erupted at the London Stadium after the visiting fans attempted to storm the West Ham section section of the crowdCredit: PA
That may be an ask too far for a side still growing under David Moyes, but even if they do fall short you can be sure it won’t be for the want of trying.
They set about Rapid with a real purpose despite Moyes being able to make seven changes to the side which beat Leeds on Saturday, with Mark Noble returning as captain.
Every Noble appearance in his final season is special for some, but on the pitch the baton has already been passed on to Rice who is the real leader of this emerging team.
And it was Rice who almost headed the Hammers into an early lead when he met Aaron Cresswell’s free-kick from the left with a glancing header which cannoned back off the foot of the post.
Noble actually took a while to get up to the speed of the game, and one lapse when he was caught in possession on 14 minutes allowed Taxiarchis Fountas to test Alphonse Areola with a low drive from the edge of the box.
But generally the Austrians offered little by way of attacking threat, the only question was if West Ham could find a way to unlock their defence.
Set-pieces were a clear opportunity, with Cresswell causing problems every time he whipped in a ball from either side.
And it was one such corner from the right, after he had avoided a bottle top thrown from the Vienna fans, which saw Craig Dawson power in a 27th minute header – only for the Hammers to be denied by the post for the second time in the game.

Two minutes later, though, the deadlock was broken as Andriy Yarmolenko’s ball was controlled on the chest by Michail Antonio before crossing low for Rice to tuck home into the back of the net – leading to fan violence from the away end.
Vienna supporters attempted to storm the home section, while water coolers were thrown along with other objects.
The second half largely played out without any real incident, the Hammers going through the motions and clearly saving themselves for the visit of Brentford on Sunday.
But on 72 minutes Vienna suddenly thought they had a way back into the game when they were awarded a penalty – but German ref Tobias Stieler changed his original decision when video showed Ben Johnson had made no contact with sub Marco Grull who tripped himself up.
Then sub Jarrod Bowen spurned a great chance to seal the win minutes from time as he rounded keeper Paul Gartler only to scoop his effort over the empty goal.
But in stoppage time the Hammers did find a second as Bowen fed Said Benrahma breaking into the box and he cut back before rolling the ball into the far corner.

Rangers star Glen Kamara booed by Czech schoolkids as he faces Sparta Prague after Slavia racism row

RANGERS star Glen Kamara has been a target for booing and jeering from Czech SCHOOLKIDS as he returns to Prague in the colours of the Ibrox side. Gers boss Steven Gerrard said pre-match he had been given assurances there would be no carry-over from the high profile racism row which saw Ondrej Kudela, of city rivals Slavia, banned for ten matches for racially abusing Kamara in a Europa League tie at Ibrox last season.
Glen Kamara has already been singled out for booing from the crowd
Uefa originally insisted on this match being played behind closed doors – after their fans were found guilty of another racist incident Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni.
But they relented to let 10,000 kids into the arena – with the only adults allowed to accompany them being their guardians.
And within minutes Gerrard’s hopes fell on deaf ears as those at the ground clearly identified Kamara being singled out for boos from the Czech crowd.
While Gers other black stars such as Kemar Roofe, Fashion Sakala and Joe Aribo all seemed to get treatment, it was more pronounced when Kamara was on the ball.
The news came after Gers aace Kemar Roofe was accosted and labelled a “butcher” by a man who asked if he was going to “injure another goalie” in tonight’s Europa League game against Sparta Prague.
The striker – who was also victim of racist taunts online from Slavia fans after the match last season – was confronted outside the airport in the Czech capital after Steven Gerrard and his players had flown in from Glasgow.

The male filmed Roofe walking towards the team coach before approaching him to say: “Hey mate. Have you come to injure another goalie? Butchers from Glasgow.”
A Rangers security official then stepped in to stop the incident from spiralling.
Roofe kept walking on to the bus and didn’t appear to respond to the male.
The comment referred to Rangers’ Europa League tie with Sparta’s great rivals Slavia Prague earlier this year when Roofe was sent off for kicking goalkeeper Ondrej Kular in the head.
Speaking before the match, Gerrard had sought to downplay the row, saying: “I’ve spoken to the majority of my players in the last couple of days and we spoke about the game.
“Glen and Kemar, who were affected from the last game, are in a good place and looking forward.

“Both of them want to come and put in a performance for the team so there’s no apprehension as far as I’m concerned.
“I have had assurances that everything’s going to be fine.
“How these matters are dealt with is out of my control, that’s for the powers that be. I think everyone involved in the game is always looking for improvement, always looking for the powers that be to step forward and show leadership on this topic.
“We know it’s not totally out of the game or eradicated, and that there’s still more work and more education to be put in place.
“But, in my position, you can only talk and say certain things, push and support.
