Frankfurt beat Real Betis in their first leg tie yesterday before Sevilla host West Ham this evening.

Spanish police arrived on the scene of the ugly fracas.
As reported by The Telegraph, they fired rubber bullets in an attempt to de-escalate the angry and scary situation.
But O’Neill’s bar owner Michael Melia hailed the East Enders for their exemplary behaviour.
He said: “They were fantastic no trouble at all. All they did was defend themselves.
“It was the German fans who attacked them, the English were just in here singing having a drink, having a good time.
“They were fantastic. I hope they come back today and spend lots more money.”
English football fans have previously encountered the full force of the heavy-handed Spanish police with Leicester visiting Seville and Madrid on their Champions League ventures in 2017.
Elsewhere, Manchester City and Chelsea supporters clashed with authorities in Porto at the Champions League final after bars closed.

    Road to Sevilla
So 16 teams remain in the Europa League. Who will progress through to the quarter-finals?

    West Ham to face Sevilla
Domestically, Sevilla are fighting for the LaLiga title. But standing in their way in the Europa League are West Ham.
Promises to be a fascinating tie.

West Ham and Rangers learn fate
So then, will we see a British side in the quarter-finals of the Europa League?
West Ham take on Sevilla, while Rangers meet Red Star Belgrade. Interesting.
    Porto take on Lyon
Two more European titans collide in another mouthwatering Europa League tie as Porto are drawn against Lyon.
Another clash which could easily have been a Champions League knockout tie a few years ago.
    Barcelona drawn against Galatasaray
Barcelona vs Galatasaray is an eye-catching Europa League last 16 tie, that’s for sure.
Two sides who would have been expected to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League a few years ago.
What do we make of that?
So, West Ham have been drawn against Sevilla. That is an incredibly tough tie for David Moyes’ side. Sevilla currently sit six points off the top of the LaLiga table.
Meanwhile, Rangers have been drawn against Red Star Belgrade. They’ll take that, you can imagine.
    Full Europa League draw
Here is the full draw then!

    Rangers vs Red Star Belgrade
    Braga vs Monaco
    Porto vs Lyon
    Atalanta vs Bayer Leverkusen
    Sevilla vs West Ham United

    Here we go then…
    Technical procedure being explained
So we are about to get the draw underway. The technical procedure is being explained.
I would suggest Uefa listen out for this as they fudged the Champions League last 16 draw. Fingers crossed this one goes off without a hitch!
    Who do you want?
So, West Ham and Rangers fans, who do you want to get in the last 16?
Do you want a European titan or the best possible route to the quarter-finals?
We are just moments away from finding out.
    Andres Palop to conduct draw
Former Sevilla keeper Andres Palop will conduct the draw.
Given he won the competition on three occasions and this year’s final being played in Seville, it seems fitting that he get his moment in the sun today.
    Ukrainian invasion addressed
Uefa’s deputy general secretary Giorgio Marchetti says football wants ‘peace and peace now’ in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
It comes after Uefa opted to strip Russia of the Champions League final earlier today. That match will now take place in Paris at the Stade de France.
Montages of each last 16 side
We are now being given a glimpse of each of the last 16 teams’ highlights from their Europa League campaigns so far this season.
I suppose they have to drag it out somehow.
    There we go
The audio has been corrected and coverage of the draw has begun.
The Europa League trophy is on show. You forget how absolutely huge it actually is…
    We are underway
We are underway but Uefa appear to be having issues with their audio! So far all we can hear is a very loud buzzing sound over the top of the presentation.
Not a great start for all involved.
When are the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final?
    Quarter-finals

First legs will be played on Thursday, April 7.
Second legs will be contested on Thursday, April 14.

    Semi-finals

First legs will be played on Monday, April 18.
Second legs will be contested on Thursday, May 5.

    Final

The final will take place in Seville, Spain on Wednesday, May 18.

    Nearly draw time
Right, it looks like we are about to get underway with the show (not the draw just yet).
I’m sure a load of important Uefa people will have their moment on stage before we actually get to why we’re here.

Rangers 2 Dortmund 2 (agg: 6-4): Tavernier double helps Gers seal incredible Europa League win

RANGERS secured a sensational win over Borussia Dortmund to move into the last-16 of the Europa League.Gers brought a 4-2 lead back to Ibrox tonight with 49,000 fans hoping they could hold out.
Rangers completed a famous Europa League win over Dortmund on Thursday night
The Scottish side won 6-4 on aggregate against the much-fancied German team
But they did more than that, securing a 2-2 draw on the night with the previous favourites for the competition.
The atmosphere before the game was incredible and waved in and out as the night progressed.
But there was a sense of anxiety too, given the European powerhouses they were up against.
Dortmund looked to come out the traps early and almost took the lead inside five minutes.
Jude Bellingham – who had a superb 90 minutes – hit the post from a corner.
Thorgan Hazard then had a go from distance which Ryan Jack managed to deflect away.
Donyell Malen then had an effort from the edge which flashed wide.

But Rangers took the lead midway through the first half from the penalty spot.
Great wing play from Ryan Kent down the left who had Barisic bursting on the overlap.
Kent ducked inside across the edge of the box and was tripped by the flailing leg of Julian Brandt.
A stonewall penalty and Tavernier coolly smashed it into the roof of the net down the middle.
Ibrox erupted and Gers looked to be on the ascendency.
But the lead lasted less than ten minutes as the English wonderkid drew the visitors level.
Donyell Malen tried to pick someone out inside the box but played it straight off Bellingham who was left clean through.
McGregor closed the angle but the starlet rolled it into the bottom corner.
Rangers very nearly restored their lead within a few minutes with two huge chances.
Rangers earned a 2-2 draw on the night which sealed a 6-4 aggregate winCredit: Rex
Arfield was played in by Aribo but his weak shot was saved, with Kent looking for a tap-in into an empty net.
Dortmund failed to clear and it landed at Morelos 12 yards out who smashed at goal but hit it off Hummels on the line.
Malen then tested McGregor at his near post, with the veteran keeping it out with a strong right arm.
He wouldn’t be denied for long though as he put the away side ahead on the night, just before half time.
A cross in from the right wasn’t dealt with by Goldson or Tavernier.
Brandt picked up the scraps on the left edge of the area and picked out Bellingham racing into the area.
He flicked the ball towards goal and Malen was there, seven yards out to stab it home with the outside of his foot.
They nearly levelled the tie on the stroke of half time too. Malen again at the heart of things, whipping a ball into the area for the onrushing Meunier, who flicked the ball towards goal from ten yards out but saved by McGregor.
Van Bronckhorst made a change at the break bringing Leon Balogun on for Barisic and the Nigerian had a clearance charged down which thankfully flew just wide.
Dortmund were left heartbroken by the defeatCredit: AP
Dortmund had all the ball for the opening few minutes of the second half before Gers almost levelled on the night.
Goldson knocked a long ball over the top which Hummels misjudged and Morelos ran onto it.
He cut inside from the right and went for the near post with a left footed strike, which the keeper tipped wide for a corner.
The Colombian has another chance soon after. Kent cuts in on his right foot and has a strike at goal which is blocked on route.
It spins out to the edge of the box where Morelos brings it down and fires low at goal, saved again by Kobel.
But the equaliser wasn’t long in coming as Ibrox once again went crazy.
Bassey did superbly well down the left to dig a cross out from the touchline.
Hummels made a complete hash of trying to clear it and Tavernier snuck in behind to smash it low past the keeper.
Van Bronckhorst ran into his technical area in celebration as the 49,000 Light Blues supporters raised the roof.
Dortmund created two quickfire chances as they trailed by two in the tie and that deficit should really have been cut.
Bellingham at the heart again, sliding a ball for Reus who evades the slide of Balogun before rounding McGregor but he couldn’t adjust his feet and rolled it wide with the goal gaping.
McGregor’s poor clearance then found Bellingham who played Brandt in before Balogun got back superbly to slide and win back the ball.
Then – the main point of controversy.
Emre Can looked to play the ball back to his keeper from halfway with Kent closing him down.
The German didn’t see Morelos coming, and appeared to kick the back of the Colombian’s leg before going down.
Morelos and Kent ran through on the keeper, with Morelos unselfishly laying it off for Kent to roll home for a 7-4 lead.
Again, pandemonium in the stands as the home side celebrated what would be a tie-winning goal.
The referee went to have a look at VAR and adjudged Morelos to have fouled Can.
Co-commentators Alex Rae and Ally McCoist agreed the decision was ‘scandalous’.
Rangers then hoped VAR would help when looking for a penalty with ten minutes to play but the referee and video team weren’t having it. More

And that’s a wrap in Naples!
The Catalan giants convincingly put Gli Azzurri to the sword scoring four on the night and five on aggregate.
Napoli 2-4 Barcelona – Gavi yellow card!
90+2 Gavi has gone in the book for a reckless challenge which will mean that he misses the first leg in Barcelona’s last 16 tie.
Three minutes of additional time has been added
    Napoli 2-4 Barcelona
    89. What an absolute waste.
Matteo Politano went for the quick corner, but none of his teammates were on the same wave length.
    Napoli 2-4 Barcelona
    88. Corner to Napoli..
    Napoli 2-4 Barcelona
    86. It looks as if the goal has come too little too late but stranger things have happened in football.
If Napoli get one more, it will be a tense ending for the Catalan giants.
Goal! – Hold your horses people because Politano has scored!
The substitute did well to weave in between Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba before digging out a powerful low strike into the bottom corner.
Fantastic finish from the Napoli attacker.
    Could it be game on?
    Napoli 2-4 Barcelona
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    80. There’s only 300 Barca fans in attendance but they are making all the noise at the Diego Armando Mardona Stadium.
A night to forget for Napoli.
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    76. More changes in the game but this time, for Xavi and co.

    Adama Traore – OFF
    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – OFF
    Pedri – OFF
    Osumane Dembele – ON
    Nico Gonzalez – ON
    Luuk de Jong – ON

    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    76. The game has gone completely flat now and it’s just a case of the time of ticking down.
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    72. Luciano Spalletti has made a double change and it looks more like a substitution to rest players rather than to overturn the deficit.

    Fabian Ruiz – OFF
    Victor Osimhen – OFF
    Faouzi Ghoulam – ON
    Adam Ounas – ON

Napoli 1-4 Barcelona – Great defending Pique!
    70. Victor Osimhen seemed as if he was through on goal with all the time in the world.
But the experienced Spanish international just did enough to stop Osimhen from making it a somewhat awkward ending.
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    68. Excellent finish from Lorenzo Insigne but the flag quickly went up for offside.
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    66. Looking at the Napoli players attitude, you can tell that they believe the game has gone.
No real effort from anyone what so ever.
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    62. Sergio Busquets was booked in the celebrations for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s goal so Xavi decides to drag him from the match.

    Sergio Busquets – OFF
    Gavi – ON

    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    60. That should be game, set and match now as Barcelona are beginning to run away with the tie.
    Heart break for Napoli.
Goal! – Aubameyang gets on the scoring act!
It was reminiscent of the old Barcelona who put together some good build-up play before Adama Traore found Aubameyang in acres of space.
And without thinking too much about it, the Gabon forward smashed the ball home with a first time effort.
That’s four in two for the January signing now.
    Napoli 1-4 Barcelona
    Luciano is really losing it
The Napoli boss is going a-wall in the technical area as he tries to push his side to dig deeper.

Napoli 1-3 Barcelona – What a block Rrahmani!
    53. Sergino Dest did well to dribble past a few players before delivering a superb ball into the box.
After a few deflections, it fell to the feet of Frankie de Jong who took a snap shot but Amir Rrahmani bravely through everything in front of the ball to stop it from going in.
Napoli 1-3 Barcelona – Chance wasted!
    52. The ball perfectly rolled out to Pedri on the edge of the box and the Spaniard only had one thing in his mind.
That one thing was probably to lash the ball into the back of the net but instead, his effort went horribly wide.
    Napoli 1-3 Barcelona
    49. Sergei Karasev has been very lenient tonight
Kalidou Koulibaly planted himself in the ground completely blocking Adama Traore from making his run.
But the referee saw it as a fair challenge and waved play on
    Napoli 1-3 Barcelona
    47. The Catalan giants have picked up from where they left off by controlling most of the possession.
    Napoli 1-3 Barcelona
    45. One change to tell you about and it’s Luciano Spalletti who has made his first roll of the dice.

    Diego Demme – OFF
    Matteo Politano – ON

Second half – Napoli 1-3 Barcelona
We have returned from the interval ladies and gentleman which means we enter the last 45 minutes of this tie.
Remember people, the away goals rule has been scrapped by UEFA so it’s a straight shoot-out for whoever can score the most goals.
    All the opening half statistics
Even though Barcelona are controlling the statistics on all fronts, the numbers don’t tell the whole story because Napoli have been very threatening going forward.

Randers 1 Leicester 3 (2-7 agg): Kasper Schmeichel’s howler only blip as Maddison scores twice in Europa Conference rout

HARVEY BARNES didn’t take long to rock Randers as he swiftly stamped Leicester City’s passport into the last 16 of the Conference League. The lightning quick winger took just 101 seconds to kill Danish hopes stone dead as he recorded the Foxes’ fastest ever goal in Europe.
Leicester enjoyed a rout at RandersCredit: Getty
However it was James Maddison who stole the show as he took time out from his new business venture selling designer jewellery, to remind the world just what a gem of a footballer he is.
The 25-year-old midfield maverick produced a couple of pearlers which would have fitted in perfectly to his new range of silver and pearl accessories, as he sparkled in Europe.
Maddison scored twice in four second-half minutes as he bent a free-kick past Patrik Calgren from 20 yards, then left the Swedish international stunned and rooted to the spot with an expertly placed curler into the far corner.
It was more than enough to book Leicester’s place in today’s last 16 draw – although Kasper Schmeichel cursed his luck after Jannick Vestergaard’s passback bobbled over his foot to present Stephen Odey with a late consolation.
However even that blip couldn’t wipe out the memory of some world class moments from the Dane, who was otherwise outstanding on his return to his homeland.
Randers were caught cold inside two minutes when they surrendered possession and Wilfred Ndidi swiftly sent Barnes scampering into acres of space on the left.

The 24-year-old couldn’t believe his good fortune as he looked up to find Randers goalie Patrik Calgren was the only man barring his way.
Barnes opened up his hips and expertly beat the exposed goalie, to join Patson Daka as Leicester’s leading European scorer of all time, on six goals.
Brendan Rodgers’ side had done the bulk of the heavy lifting at the King Power Stadium last week, winning 4-1 to set themselves up for a routine jaunt to Jutland.
The fired-up locals sliced through the visitors’ defence at regular intervals but lacked a cutting edge.
And when they did hit the target Schmeichel defied Stephen Odey and Jakob Ankersen at point blank range to deny Randers a swift equaliser.
But he topped the lot three minutes into the second half with a stunning reflex save to flip Odey’s attempt from nine yards over, when the ball was hurtling towards the roof of his net.
Luke Thomas then came to Leicester’s rescue to clear another Odey attempt off the line before Maddison took charge to send 620 travelling Foxes fans home happy.

Astonishing moment Qarabag striker Wadji scores handball goal vs Marseille… before MANAGER tells ref to rule it out

QARABAG striker Ibrahima Wadji scored an astonishing handball goal. And it was allowed to stand until his own manager told the referee to rule it out.

The forward blatantly used his first to beat Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda to the ball and punch it in basketball slam-dunk style on 34 minutes.
Incredibly, it was initially allowed to stand in the Europa Conference League play-off.
That is because the handball was missed by the referees and there is no VAR until the final.
Marseille’s players were understandably furious, with on-loan Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi reportedly following his opponent round the pitch repeatedly shouting: “You’re a cheat.”
But Wadji played dumb for a full three minutes as the protests continued.
However, then the Azerbaijani side’s gaffer Gurban Gurbanov spoke with his striker and insisted the goal was chalked off in a fantastic display of sportsmanship following his forward’s cheating.

Wadji then did appear to confess the misdemeanour to the official who then gave a free-kick to the French side.
One said: “Full of respect for Qarabag striker Ibrahima Wadji, who has just taken advantage of there being no VAR in the Conference League by scoring like this.”
Another wrote: “Fair play to Qarabag and Wadji. No VAR, referee brutally missing a clear hand ball and would have brought them back into the tie. Very classy sportsmanship!”
Visitors Marseille led 1-0 at the time, and 4-1 on aggregate, thanks to Papa Gueye’s 12th-minute opener.
