Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg helped his side to a 2-1 win against Czech Republic
It has been a roller coaster tournament for the Danes, who lost their opening two matches in the delayed tournament.
More importantly, they are without star playmaker Christian Eriksen who suffered a cardiac arrest in their opening match against Finland.
Eriksen, 29, spent six days in hospital before being released and was recently pictured out for the first time.
Denmark have been spurred on throughout their unlikely route to the last four by Eriksen, as they now face England at Wembley on Wednesday.
And manager Kasper Hjulmand said his squad will have the midfielder in their thoughts as they continue to defy the odds.
He said: “The whole world of football understood that second, and the days after, the fundamental things in life and in football, the fundamental values of football came through right at that moment.
“There are so many other agendas in football, but we all remembered why we started to play football, what values football is based on and we had a reminder of this.
“I am still thinking of Christian every single day. He should have been here.

“We are happy that he survived. We carry him all the way to this match and all the way to Wembley. I think about him all of the time.
“We all understood maybe that the values of football came through – and maybe we are a symbol of it. I could not be more happy than that.
“The team showed it without being told, ‘this is the way you should act’.
“It was just unbelievable to see this team how the reaction was, how much compassion and love they gave each other, but also the Danish population.
“We are just happy and proud we can maybe just remind ourselves why we love football and what football can do in the world.”

The supporters hilariously sang ‘Que sera sera, we’re going to Wembley’ – despite Gareth Southgate’s side playing four of the their previous five tournament games in London.

Mason Mount swung in a corner and Henderson leaped like a salmon to meet the ball seven yards out.
He headed it into the ground and it nestled in the left corner of the net.
The goal all but sealed England’s path to their first European semi-final since 1996 and the Liverpool captain was delighted.
He raced towards Mount and shook off John Stones’ attempt to celebrate with him before roaring towards the fans alongside an almighty fist pump.
Henderson was quickly smothered by his jubilant team-mates as the England fans in the stadium and at home went wild.
Now the Anfield skipper, who has played in two Champions League finals for the Reds as well as winning the Premier League and Club World Cup, reckons Wednesday’s clash with Denmark will be his biggest ever.

Speaking after England’s win, Henderson, 31, said: “It’s about time [for me to score] to be honest.
“It’s been a long time coming. Thankfully I managed to get on the scoresheet. I’m just delighted for the lads because the performance was fantastic.
“I always try to contribute how I can and concentrate on my job on the pitch. That’s all I can concentrate on, but of course, I would have liked to have scored more goals.
“But I can’t complain, I’m here, I’ve contributed and got on the scoresheet which is nice.

“It’s the best squad I’ve seen in terms of that in a tournament. It’s the biggest game of our lives on Wednesday to get into the final.
“We have always felt we are continuing to grow as a team and we feel we are ready to take the next step.”
Henderson had a chance to get off the mark in an England shirt during the Three Lions’ Euro 2020 warm-up friendly against Romania.
He took a penalty off of Dominic Calvert-Lewin only to miss the resulting kick.
But Henderson will have forgotten all about that after his strike in Rome.
Southgate’s men will play Denmark at Wembley next Wednesday.
And the winner will face Italy or Spain in the final on Sunday July 11 at the same stadium.

Unbeaten champion Fury, 32, referenced his 2015 win over heavyweight legend Klitschko as England marched through into the last four.
He tweeted: “iv not seen a beat down over Ukraine like this since Düsseldorf 28 November 2015.”
Anthony Joshua, 31, also has a win over Klitschko, 44, after finishing their 2017 thriller in round 11.
But Oleksandr Usyk, 34, will get the chance to claw back some bragging rights when he challenges for AJ’s unified belts in September.
Meanwhile, England will face Denmark in the semi-finals on Wednesday back at Wembley.
BBC pundits Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand and Alan Shearer know all about the big international stage.
And they agreed the time could be now for football to finally come home.
Lampard, 43, said: “We did every bit of the job right today. We ticked every box. Gareth will sit there and say what an evening.

“Now you have to fight over confidence but now is the time for us to get excited about that and the time for them to keep their heads down and keep confident.”
    Lampard’s ex-England team-mate Ferdinand, 42, added: “I am even more confident now.
“Biggest compliment I can give this side is I have never ever seen a side so composed.
“All the players coming on are impacting the game in a positive way, the manager is utilising the squad. Everyone is justifying their selection.
“They are hard to play against.”
Shearer, 50, remarked: “Something specal is happening. We started the tournament slowly but we are improving with every game.
“My head is telling me to calm down but my heart is getting carried away Really, really positive, well done Gareth and well done England.”

Gareth Southgate’s perfect tactics see England trounce Ukraine as Jadon Sancho shines and substitutes seal it

GARETH SOUTHGATE’S thinking was obvious with the inclusion of Jadon Sancho. The England boss clearly believed the youngster had the kind of off-the-cuff magic needed against a Ukraine side sent out to be organised from the off.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate got his tactics absolutely spot onCredit: AP

Southgate had been preaching a no-nonsense message to his players all week which clearly got through, courtesy of the early goal which brought the slightest of fist-punching but no wild celebration.
So calm was he, that Southgate hardly ventured out of the corner of the technical area, never needing to look back to consult his bench, gently offering words of advice to the players.
Southgate responded quickly to growing Ukraine threat down England’s right by switching Sterling there instead of Sancho to provide more cover for the exposed Walker late in the first half.
And he got just the start he wanted after break with the two early goals, wasting no time protecting Rice from a booking by introducing Henderson into the midfield.
Once the fourth went in it was a rush to get Phillips, Sterling and Shaw off.
Perfect tactics, perfect substitutions, perfect performance.
Andriy Shevchenko decided to double up down his left by using Vitaliy Mykolenko to his side at wing-back with Oleksandr Zinchenko just inside, aware of the threat England promised with Sancho down the right.

Within four minutes he was striding back to his dugout questioning how all the planning had been undone by Harry Kane’s early goal – and spent the next few minutes hands on hips in the technical area.
The loss of defensive lynchpin Serhiy Kryvtsov saw Shevhchenko make a positive sub shuffling Mykolenko further back an introducing the more attacking Viktor Tsyhankov in a bid to change the pattern of play.
The change worked for a period as Ukraine started to penetrate down their left by outnumbering England out wide.

But within a minute of the second half starting England doubled their lead, leading the boss to stand palms out quizzing his players how they had got their marking so wrong.
When Kane headed in the third that was enough for Shevhchenko who trudged back to his seat and slumped almost forlorn in the dugout – where he spent much of the remainder of the game knowing his side had been outclassed. More

While Raheem Sterling produced a performance dripping in creativity and guile.
Kane’s double sandwiched a towering header by Harry Maguire.
And substitute Jordan Henderson added a fourth from the bench to send the Three Lions to Wembley on Wednesday for date with Denmark.
Here’s how SunSport’s Duncan Wright rated each England performer.
    JORDAN PICKFORD – 7
Alert to shuffle away Yaremchuk’s low shot at the near post. Wild mis-kick almost gifted a consolation before he produced sharp save.
    KYLE WALKER – 6
Sloppy pass gifted Ukraine chance and was bailed out by Pickford save, then strange choice to stop tracking a run into the area almost cost England dear.
Never hid, and still a vital cog for England.

    JOHN STONES – 7
Crucial interception to bail out Walker as Ukraine threatened to equalise. Hardly put a foot wrong keeping the Ukrainian attack quiet and in his pocket.
    HARRY MAGUIRE – 8
In no mood to be bullied by the powerful Yaremchuk, constantly talking to players around him to organise the shape.
Then muscled his man out of the way to bury his header for the vital second.

    LUKE SHAW – 8
Continued where he left out against Germany, quick in the tackle and looking to link up going forward.
Brilliant free-kick delivery for Maguire’s goal and perfect overlap and cross to set up Kane’s second.
    DECLAN RICE – 7
Read the game well to intercept early cross at near post, and pushed forward more than in earlier games.
Unlucky with fierce shot saved. Excellent before being subbed to avoid a booking and semi-final suspension.

    KALVIN PHILLIPS – 7
Looking more assured with every game at this level. No need for physicality as his intelligence did the trick covering the space in this game – even when playing alone at the base once Henderson had replaced Rice. 7
    MASON MOUNT – 7
Playing in the hole, first involvement was lovely flick to release Sancho. Worked on the fringes for most of the opening half but showed fine defensive intelligence to whip the ball off the feet of Zinchenko. Delivered the corner for Henderson’s header.

    JADON SANCHO – 7
Took a while to get into game, then burst into life with piercing run which almost ended in a second goal. Plenty of flashes of quality to more than justify his selection.
    HARRY KANE – 8
Give him the ball and he will score – which he did within four minutes. Excellent movement to head home his second and then denied the perfect hat-trick with a thumping volley.  Looks a yard sharper too.

    RAHEEM STERLING – 9
Demanded the ball early and made the vital difference finding Kane for the opening goal. Unstoppable at times and looks to have gone up a level in this tournament. Wonderful flick released Shaw to cross for the third. Brilliant. STAR MAN

    SUBS
JORDAN HENDERSON (on for Rice, 57) – Took over the dominance in midfield, and deserved headed goal for this character in returning to fitness. 7
KIERAN TRIPPIER (on for Shaw 65)  Brought on to keep it tight, and did just that. 6
MARCUS RASHFORD (on for Sterling 65) Injected pace down the left and set about making an impact, trying to prove himself to manager.  7
JUDE BELLINGHAM (on for Phillips 65) Oozes quality and calm whenever he is on the pitch. 6
DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN (on for Kane 73) Much needed run-out but little chance to threaten. 6
