The entire squad trained on Monday morning, including the newly-christened left-back ‘Shawberto Carlos’.
Man Utd defender Shaw set up two goals as England romped past Ukraine in the quarter-finals on Saturday night.
And his Three Lions team-mates have come up with a new nickname comparing him to Brazil legend Roberto Carlos.
Jadon Sancho said on the Lions Den You Tube series: “We got Shawberto Carlos here, Luke Shaw, yes we do.”
And Harry Kane was heard saying “Shawberto” in a separate video posted to England’s Twitter feed.
Shaw’s stellar display in Rome on Saturday night even earned praise from Carlos himself.
The Brazilian legend commented with eight clapping emojis on Shaw’s Instagram post after England’s 4-0 thrashing of Ukraine.

Shaw was asked about the Carlos comparisons earlier this year after his impressive form for Manchester United.
And he told the club’s official website: “I’ll be honest I’ve seen some things on it on social media and sometimes in my group chats my mates send me some stuff and I just laugh about it.
“I can’t be compared to him, he was unbelievable. I’m aware of it and it’s nice to be even mentioned alongside his name, but I just laugh about it.”

England are two days away from a first Euros semi-final in 25 years.
Southgate’s side are yet to concede a goal in the tournament and face Denmark in front of 60,000 fans at Wembley.
Kane scored twice while Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson were also on the score sheet in the 4-0 thrashing of Ukraine in Rome.
The winners of Wednesday’s semi-final will face either Italy or Spain in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday at Wembley.

How England lined up against Denmark for nightmare Nations League loss with TWO Euro 2020 stars being sent off

TWO of England’s Euro 2020 stars were sent off last time they played Denmark – as the Three Lions suffered a shock defeat at Wembley.Gareth Southgate will be desperate there is no repeat of October 2020’s Nations League result on Wednesday.
This is how England lined up last time they faced Denmark in October
Harry Maguire started in a back three but lasted just 30 minutes before his red cardCredit: AP
The Three Lions take on the Danes at Wembley in the semi-final.
But their previous clash did not go according to plan.
Harry Maguire picked up a yellow card inside five minutes for a late challenge.
And then on 30 minutes, he overstretched after a heavy touch and earned a second yellow to get sent off.
England started with a back three but Maguire’s early dismissal meant left wing-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles was sacrificed for Tyrone Mings.
Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips – who have shone together at the Euros this summer – partnered each other in midfield with Reece James and Maitland-Niles offering width.
Harry Kane led the line, supported by Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford.
A defensive mix-up including Conor Coady, Kyle Walker and Jordan Pickford saw Denmark awarded a controversial penalty which Christian Eriksen slammed home on his 100th cap.

Leicester and Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel produced a fine display at the other end and made one point-blank save to deny Mount.
And England could find no way back as they fell to the 1-0 defeat.
Then after the full-time whistle, James also saw red for comments made to the referee to compound a miserable night at Wembley.
Of the 11 that started that game, seven are expected to retain their places this week for the crunch clash at the home of football.
Seven of that starting XI look set to keep their places on Wednesday

Pickford is set to be protected by a back four of Walker, John Stones, Maguire and Luke Shaw.
Rice and Phillips look likely to continue in midfield with Mount flanked by fit-again Bukayo Saka and goal-machine Raheem Sterling supporting captain Kane up top.
Jadon Sancho, Jordan Henderson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all came off the bench in October and may well do the same again this week.
Jack Grealish was an unused sub – just as he was on Saturday against Ukraine – but will be desperate to get his chance to impress once again.
Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham and Kieran Trippier could all be involved as well with England aiming to reach their first major final since 1966.

Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici will not open Harry Kane transfer talks while England are in Euro 2020

TOTTENHAM’S bigwigs have reportedly put the brakes on Harry Kane move discussions whilst England are battling to win Euro 2020. And the club’s new football managing director Fabio Paratici had said he wants to retain the services of Spurs’ talisman..

Former Juventus transfer chief Paratici began his job this month which started with overseeing talks to appoint new club boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Now the Spurs director, who describes Kane as “one of the best strikers in the world” is keen to see the in-form frontman stay in North London.
Kane, 27, who netted a brace during the Three Lions’ 4-0 Euro quarter-final demolition of Ukraine, has expressed his wish to leave Tottenham.

The England skipper, who will lead the line against Denmark in the contest’s semis, has attracted interest from a number of his current club’s domestic rivals.
Teams include Manchester United, Man City and two-time Champions League winners Chelsea.
Paratici, 48, told Sky in Italy: “Keeping him is not just my goal, it’s our goal as a club.
“I can’t wait to watch him play live. I’ve been really lucky in the past years because I’ve watched a lot of top players and strikers, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Higuain, and many more which now I forgot about.
“Right now, he’s one of the best strikers in the world. He’s a complete player, really special.
“His physique is that of a real number nine, a true poacher, but he also has an incredibly refined technique.
“He is able to shoot with both feet and also provides many assists – very few people notice this because he scores so many goals.”
When asked if speculation surrounding his future was a distraction earlier on the Euros, Kane dismissed the suggestion.
The England captain told reporters: “I understand from a media point of view there is speculation, but I am fully focused on the job here.”

Kane, who is the 2020-21 Premier League Golden Boot winner, netted 33 goals in 49 games across all competitions last term.
His performances reportedly led Man City to make an eye-watering £100million offer for his services in June.
But the megabucks bid was reportedly turned down by Spurs officials.
And former Arsenal, Barcelona Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas reckons Kane would be the perfect Real Madrid replacement for Karim Benzema should the France ace ever begin “to slow down”.
The Spanish juggernauts, who finished second in LaLiga last term are thought to be admirers of the England ace.
Kane, who was born in Walthamstow, East London, has three years left to run on his current Tottenham agreement.
The striker made his first senior Tottenham appearance in a Europa League second-leg win against Hearts in 2011.

And the centre-forward has played 331 times for the club across all competitions netting 226 goals.
However, the striker, who spent one season at Arsenal as a youth player from 2001 to 2002, is yet to win a major piece of silverware with the North London outfit.
Tottenham, who finished seventh in the Prem last term, have qualified for next season’s Uefa Europa Conference contest.
And they were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City in last season’s Carabao Cup final.

Denmark fan had rainbow flag ‘pulled out of my hands’ by security in Baku at Euro 2020 as Uefa launch investigation

A DENMARK fan has claimed he had a rainbow flag ‘pulled out of my hands’ by stewards in Baku.Uefa are investigating after pictures emerged appearing to show a flag being confiscated during the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.

Pictures showed two fans holding a rainbow flag at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan on Saturday night.
They were then approached by two security guards, and then the flag was no longer unfurled.
Kristoffer Fons told Danish broadcasters DR: “An official guard came up to me and pulled the flag out of my hands.
“I thought before going to Baku that we are going to a place where human rights are not really a thing.
“I have been very sceptical about the fact that the World Cup is being held in Qatar so I thought that I would be a hypocrite if I didn’t do anything.”
    UEFA RESPONSE
Uefa have released a statement saying they will look into what happened in the stands during Denmark’s win over Czech Republic.
A statement read: “UEFA never instructed stewards in Baku — or in any other stadium — to confiscate rainbow flags.
“We are currently investigating what happened and we will of course contact the UEFA delegate, UEFA Security officer and local authorities to clear this up.
“The rainbow flag is a symbol that embodies UEFA core values, promoting everything that we believe in — a more just and egalitarian society, tolerant of everyone and UEFA has ensured that the flag was returned to the supporter.”

Harry Kane, Manuel Neuer and Georginio Wijnaldum are among the national team captains who have worn rainbow armbands during this tournament.
Germany goalkeeper Neuer wore the armband throughout June to support the LGBT community.
Germany have been very active in support of the LGBT movement.
Before their match against Hungary, the Mayor of Munich had a request to light up the Allianz Arena in rainbow colours turned down by Uefa.

This was due to “politicisation” of football, with the gesture intended to protest a new law proposed by the Hungarian government designed to ban the promotion of homosexuality to under-18s.
However, large numbers of Germany fans brought rainbow flags to the game in protest at Uefa’s decision.
And midfielder Leon Goretzka made his view on the issue clear when he celebrated his equalising goal by forming a heart shape with his hands in front of the Hungarian supporters.

England ‘could stage Euro 2020 victory party at Wembley in September’ if Three Lions win trophy

ENGLAND could stage a Euro 2020 victory party at Wembley in September if the Three Lions win the tournament, according to reports.Southgate’s men have the whole of the country believing they can finally bring football home and end the 55-year wait for glory.

They will be denied a parade around London, like after Italia 90, due to the Covid-19 pandemicCredit: News Group Newspapers Ltd
But even if they do go all the way and become the first England team since 1966 to win a tournament, they are unlikely to hold an immediate victory parade.
According to The Times, The FA have still not “discussed the matter in detail” yet.
However, the report states they “will have to start formulating plans of how to recognise the achievement” should they go all the way.
An open-top bus tour would seem to be the most-likely option in normal circumstances.
But Covid-19 restrictions make atour through London a non-starter.
Now it is thought that an alternative option “could be staging a ticketed event at Wembley” or somewhere else in the capital, according to The Telegraph.
And that fans would need to enter a ballot to gain admission to it.
According to sources within the FA have suggested that if England’s men do bring it home, an open-top parade could take place on July 19, when restrictions are lifted.
And it is thought a ticketed celebration would take place around England’s next home game at Wembley – currently scheduled for September 5.
The England rugby union side received a welcome home by hundreds of thousands of fans when they held a victory parade after winning the World Cup in 2003.

And there were also similar scenes after England’s cricketers won the Ashes in 2005 and when the Three Lions got to the World Cup semi-finals in 1990.
But Liverpool were denied a victory parade after ending a 30-year wait and winning the Premier League title in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

His parents, Barbara and Clive, still live there.
Southgate went to Hazelwick Secondary and the school’s motto — “Effort Achieves” — was sewn on to pupils’ blazers and serves him well to this day.
He played for the school football team — and lined up alongside X Factor star Chico.
The change.org petition, started during the 2018 World Cup in Russia where England also made the semi-finals, has more than 1,500 signatures.
It reads: “Gareth grew up in Crawley . . . and we believe the council should recognise his achievements with a statue of the man himself!”
The petition has been resurrected following the latest successes.
A council spokesman said: “We’re tremendously proud of what Gareth Southgate has achieved.
“He’s a son of Crawley who grew up here, went to school here and learnt a lot of his football here so we want to recognise his achievements. Nothing has been ruled out.”
Meanwhile, social media users joked Southgate would make a perfect partner after one, Madeline Brettingham, called him “the ultimate middle-aged crush.”

One user wrote: “Gareth would put all the cutlery pointing the same way in the cutlery drawer and hang the tea towel neatly across the oven handle to dry.”
Another said: “He wouldn’t complain about the decorative cushions and would plump and rearrange them after sitting on the sofa”.
Others stated that he would defrost the car and warm your coat on a cold winter’s morning, and do the toast “just how you like it, making sure the butter goes all the way to the edges”.

Cristiano Ronaldo on course to win Euro 2020 Golden Boot despite being out after Patrik Schick’s Czech Republic lose

He also grabbed what could be a crucial assist against Germany, dinking over Manuel Neuer to set up the grateful Diogo Jota.
Ronaldo’s nearest challenger is Patrik Schick, who has also scored five goals.
But with the Czech Republic losing 2-1 to Denmark today, Schick now can’t catch Ronaldo.
Despite both having scored five apiece, Ronaldo is ahead because of his assist, with Schick not registering any during the tournament.
The next top-scorers are Emil Forsberg, Romelu Lukaku and Karim Benzema with four apiece.
But all three are out of the competition.
Ronaldo’s nearest challengers still in the tournament are Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane and Kasper Dolberg, who have both scored three times.
Sterling, 26, netted goals for England against Croatia, the Czech Republic and Germany.

While Dane Dolberg also scored against the Czechs, as well as grabbing a double against the Welsh in the 4-0 Round of 16 rout last weekend.
Kane was goalless after the group stage, but has stormed back into contention with an effort against Germany and two versus Ukraine this evening.
Among Ronaldo’s multitude of awards are four European Golden Shoes – given to the continent’s top scorer each season in club football.
He also made history earlier in the tournament, by equalling Ali Daei’s record of 109 goals in international football.

England boss Gareth Southgate says another semi-final is ‘not enough’ as Three Lions target first major final since 1966

GARETH SOUTHGATE says reaching another semi-final is ‘not enough’ for England. The Three Lions boss believes his stars have the mental toughness to complete a fairytale ending at the Euros.
England boss Gareth Southgate is not willing to settle for another semi-final
He said: “We won’t feel totally satisfied if it’s just a semi-final for us.
“Whereas maybe three years ago, although there was massive disappointment after the World Cup semi-final, there was a feeling we’d come a long way.”
Now his side are used to re-writing the history books — following their landmark defeat of Germany in the last 16 and Saturday’s 4-0 quarter-final thrashing of Ukraine.
And Southgate is backing England to end a sequence of four straight semi-final defeats at major tournaments, since their only final in 1966.
He said: “Now we’ve replicated what we did in Russia, but that won’t be enough to fulfil the group.
“We’ve knocked off so many hoodoos or perceived barriers already and I feel like this group of players will feel this is just the next challenge.
“Ahead of the last tournament our first aim was to win a knockout game. That was where we saw the benchmark.”
Asked whether England could just be nice-guy semi-finalists like former tennis player Tim Henman, Southgate replied: “They have got the mentality to go on.

“I would argue that Henman came up against opponents who were incredible in their era.
“Our group are ready to get to the next step. They don’t get through the challenges of the last few weeks, and the last 12 months, as a team without having an edge or that mental toughness.
“They will be ready mentally and we have guys who have won trophies and know what that has taken.”
There will be 60,000 fans at Wembley on Wednesday and midfielder Mason Mount said: “It will be a special day and there will be more fans there to create the atmosphere.
