Asked about the injury, England’s No 7 said: “[Japhet] Tanganga from Tottenham threw me on the floor and I broke my thumb.”
On whether it had healed, the attacker showed reporters how bent his thumb was and added: “It’s still like that a little bit isn’t it?”
Though Grealish has revealed the worst part of having a thumb injury – he can no longer play his PlayStation.

Scotland flag with words ‘We’ll be Back’ mysteriously appears behind goal in Italy end at England Euro 2020 final

WEMBLEY has been bedecked by English and Italian flags tonight for the Euro 2020 final. But Scotland still managed to be represented somehow – with a SALTIRE immediately behind the goal where the Italian fans were placed.
The saltire immediately behind the goal Italy were shooting towards in the second period
🚨 Read our Scottish transfer live blog for the latest news & gossip 🚨
TV pictures showed an image with a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger, a smiley face emoji and the words “Well be back’ written on it.
And all this with Scotland exiting at the group stages, having scored one goal and conceded five.
Meanwhile, while Scotland haven’t been involved at Euro 2020 for almost three weeks, England fans are still chanting about them.
The national team’s hopes of advancing to the knockout stages were ended by Croatia at Hampden last month.
England fans chant about Scotland prior to the match
In contrast, the Auld Enemy have made it all the way to the final and are set to face off against Italy for a shot at glory at Wembley this evening.
England fans have been gathering in the streets of London ahead of the big clash.
Meanwhile, Michael Stewart hopes Celtic star David Turnbull could be the “difference maker” in the final third which he feels Scotland are missing.
Steve Clarke’s men registered just one goal in three group matches at Euro 2020, the kind of return which was never likely to get us into the knockout stages.

DAY OFF Rangers star Jordan Jones shares pic of himself mingling with fans at England-Italy Euro 2020 final

Despite a stellar season in a poor Celtic effort at club level, 22-year-old Turnbull saw NO playing time whatsoever at the Euro 2020 finals.
But Stewart told BBC Sportsound that accommodating the attacking midfielder in his line-up could help propel Scotland forward under Steve Clarke.
We currently sit second in our World Cup qualifying group, with our next outing a daunting challenge against Euro 2020 semi-finalists Denmark.

Stewart said: “I think we have got quality players that can go and compete at that level.
“The big problem is that difference maker in that final third that we don’t have – like a striker or someone who can score a goal out of nothing.
“To a certain extent that is where David Turnbull comes in – he is someone who with his striking ability, in terms of hitting the target, making goalkeepers work.

The Three Lions hero had been sent on as a late substitute after Italy pegged back England’s early lead through Luke Shaw.
With the game seemingly destined to go to extra-time, Chiellini misjudged the flight of a long clearance near the byline.
Speedy Saka nipped in front of the 36-year-old and looked to be on the break for England late on.
Yet wiley Chiellini grabbed the youngster around the neck to haul him to the ground and then cheekily offered his hand – which Saka initially snubbed before the pair embraced.
However, England fans were fuming with the Italian’s late foul, as one wrote: “Someone tell Chiellini that Saka is just 19-years-old.”
Another said: “Chiellini should be off!
A third added: “That was DISGUSTING on Saka! RED CARD!!!”
England fans were similarly fuming after spotting an Italy ‘handball’ in the build up to their equaliser.

Leonardo Bonucci equalised in the 67th minute after Luke Shaw had earlier netted for England after just TWO minutes.
It was no more than Italy deserved after England could barely get hold of the ball.
But Three Lions fans were adamant Bryan Cristante handballed in the build up to Bonucci’s slotting home.

Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique argue over Kyle Walker and Federico Chiesa being player of Euro 2020

FORMER Barcelona team-mates Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique couldn’t agree on their player of the Euros. Both clearly had their eyes fixed on a tense final between England and Italy at Wembley.

But while Fabregas tweeted that Walker was ‘arguably best player of the tournament’, Pique was not in agreement.
The Spanish centre-half responded with his choice of ‘Chiesa’ – for Italian attacker Chiesa.
Both players were involved from the off for the final.
Walker started the game in a back three alongside Harry Maguire and John Stones.
While Chiesa was afforded somewhat of a free role, and played a key part in Italy’s equaliser.

England took the lead after just two minutes when Luke Shaw volleyed home Kieran Trippier’s pinpoint cross – with Walker making a valuable decoy run outside of him
But the Italians deservedly tied the game at 1-1 when Leonardo Bonucci poked home.
And Walker needed to be alert when he chested a calm backpass to keeper Jordan Pickford as the match went to extra time.

Nurse your Euros hangover with top tips from Alex James

THE last time I went to see England play, I swore it would be the last.I’d enjoyed copious refreshment with comic Keith Allen as well as the keyboard player from the Rolling Stones and Michael Barrymore beforehand — hardly tea with the vicar.
Alex James shares his top tips on curing a hangover after the Euro 2020 finalCredit: Geronimo James
But when I took my seat at the Belgian stadium where England faced Germany in the first round group stage of Euro 2000, I swear I was the most sober person in the place.
The enormous buffoon crammed into the seat next to me was so far gone he had lost control of his bowels and his bladder. He did not smell good at all.
He passed out in a puddle of his own fluids just before kick-off but woke up when England scored and insisted on hugging me with all his might.
It was so traumatic I spent the whole of the rest of the game praying and praying that England wouldn’t score again.
Of course, as the bass player in rock and roll band Blur and, nowadays, running a festival — a massive party, basically — I may just possibly have overdone it once or twice myself.
In fact, before we embarked on our first tour of America, my band were marched into the record company to be forewarned of the perils of choking on our own vomit, drowning in the bathtub and other obstacles to glory — a kind of messed-up health and safety briefing.
As a musician I often stayed up late then had to get up early and talk to cameras.

    WOKE UP ON A BOAT
The record company said: “Success will mess you up more than failure.”
And indeed, the more successful the band became, the later I tended to stay up. And the more cameras there were to talk to in the morning.
I was doing a live radio interview with the biggest broadcaster in Germany with one of my bandmates, who had enjoyed a particularly triumphant night. He fell asleep halfway through answering the second question, with millions of people listening.
The worst hangovers I ever had in my life, though, were all, apart from one, in Tokyo.
The air quality there isn’t great and it can get very hot and sweaty, too.
The biggest problem was the quality of the drinks served at the best nightclub in Japan, The Lexington Queen.
Entry and drinks at “The Lex” were free to rock musicians and to models which, while it always seemed like a fair idea to me, meant they probably weren’t serving booze of the absolute finest quality.
It also meant I spent more time there than anywhere else.
But I think the all-time stinker was in, or at least, near Barcelona in 1999. After a night drinking Van Gogh’s favourite tipple, absinthe, I woke up on a boat with a ballet dancer and no recollection of how I had got there or how to get back to civilisation.
I was basically trapped — and it was getting windier and windier and the seas rougher and rougher. The only answer at that point was more absinthe.
But over the years I have accumulated some good pick-me-ups for weathering the storm. Here are my favourites.
And don’t worry — you’ll soon start to feel better.
Alex suggests a strong black coffee followed immediately by a good measure of cider brandyCredit: Geronimo James
    WATER
INVIGORATE yourself with hot or cold water. A shower is good, a swim or hot-tub even better.
But best of all is a stint in a sauna or a steam room.
A doctor once told me that a sauna gives your body everything it needs least of all when you have a hangover, but somehow sweating it out in the hot box never fails to kick- start a miraculous recovery.
    EXERCISE
WORKING out is undoubtedly the toughest route out of Dodge, but also the quickest.
Obviously, the gym is the last place anyone wants to go when they’re the worse for wear, but pleasing results are guaranteed.
    REHYDRATE
YOUR body is screaming for fluids, so an easy fix is to get some water on board immediately.
Milk, the miraculous mammalian elixir, is also uniquely comforting. If I’m batting on a particularly sticky wicket I like to open with a flat white which is just a warm, rich coffee milkshake, really.
If the going is really tough, bananas can be a big source of comfort, too.
Exercise is undoubtedly the toughest route out of Dodge, but also the quickestCredit: Getty
    CARBS
GET some carbs on board. Have a full English, Maccy D, or pasta.
Careful not to overdo it, though. Too much grub can cause a real slump in energy levels.
If you’re too frail to face a full meal, a bag of crisps can up your energy and salt levels.
    COFFEE COMBO
MANY swear by the restorative powers of the Bloody Mary, which is OK. But I would suggest the one-two combination relied on by workmen, day in, day out, in northern France.
Le cafe calva is a slug of strong black coffee followed immediately by a good measure of cider brandy. It’s highly civilised, too.
    SLEEP IT OFF
THIS is probably the best option. Why suffer when, to quote Withnail from cult movie classic Withnail And I, we can “miss out Monday but come up smiling Tuesday morning”?
The only problem with this one is that, sadly, it is not usually an option.
    COCA COLA/FIZZY DRINKS
SHUT up, Ronaldo, with your feeble Euro 2020 protest.

Coca Cola – also known as the red ambulance and the black doctor – is one of God’s greatest gifts on the morning after.
It contains a ridiculous amount of sugar – which is just what you need right now – as well as a decent hit of caffeine and a side order of useful minerals.
Anything sweet and fizzy will help, though.

A clip posted to Twitter appears to show violence erupt at the door into the stands – with drinks being thrown and fans rushing away from the scene.
The brawl then spills out into a large entrance room, where a young boy rushing away from the scene is whacked over the head.
A man in a black jacket then falls to the floor, with the footage appearing to show him being repeatedly punched and kicked.
    ‘DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR’
The clip was posted to Twitter with the caption: “Unbelievable footage of violence in Wembley tonight.
“A literal child gets punched by a full grown man and an Asian man is kicked repeatedly in the head by several people. Disgusting behaviour.”
It is not clear why the fight started.
The scenes came just hours after over-excited football fans rushed the barriers at Wembley.
Eager Three Lions supporters pushed past barricades as cops desperately tried to stop the wave of supporters.

A Wembley spokesperson admitted that a “small group of people got into the stadium” and would now be removed.
A statement said: “There was a breach of security and a small group of people got into the stadium.
“We are now working closely with stadium stewards and security to remove these people.”

Italy fans steal show after dressing as Mario and pizza slice at Wembley for Euro 2020 final against England

A BRAVE Italy fan went to the Euro 2020 final against England dressed as a slice of pepperoni PIZZA.It was a bizarre move by the supporter, who was caught on camera dressed as the Italian stereotype while standing next to cartoon character Mario.
An Italian football fan went to the final of Euro 2020 dressed as a slice of pizza
She didn’t seem to happy when a man dressed as Mario tried to console her
The woman – described as ‘Sad Pizza’ on social media – was captured during the second half of the game when Italy were losing 1-0 to England.
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw opened the scoring at Wembley in the second minute with an emphatic volley.
She didn’t seem awfully happy the Azzurri were losing, with Mario appearing to console her.
There’s a good chance the cartoon character was letting the pizza know Roberto Mancini’s side would get back in the game.
And so it proved as Leonardo Bonucci scored just moments after she appeared on millions of televisions across the world.
Or perhaps he was simply telling her they were on the big screen for the entire world to see.
And maybe he was just asking if she fancied getting a pizza after the game.

Fans on social media have been loving the woman’s audacious outfit, with one tweeting: “There needs to be a live cam set up on Mario and pizza girl immediately.”
While another wrote: “Sad Pizza comforted by Mario is the highlight of the game.”
And one fan tweeted: “We need an update on Sad Pizza girl.”
It’s been an interesting final at Wembley, with the remote control car that delivers the match ball making a popular return.
And a topless fan invaded the pitch in the second half, with FOUR stewards needed to stop him.
