WOMEN’S professional football manager Emma Hayes will work as a pundit for ITV during their coverage of this summer’s European Championships. The 44-year-old has been the manager of Chelsea women since 2012, winning the Super League four times in that period.
Hayes has managed over 200 games for Chelsea

Hayes joins ITV’s studio team alongside former Chelsea Women’s colleague Eni Aluko, as well as the likes of Ian Wright, Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Patrick Vieira and Ashley Cole.
Aluko and Hayes won three WSL titles together (2015, 2017, 2018), as well the Women’s FA Cup twice in 2015 and 2018.

What teams has Emma Hayes managed?

2001-2003 – Long Island Lady Riders
    2003-2006 – Iona College
    2006-2008 – Arsenal Ladies (assistant)
    2008-2010 – Chicago Red Stars
    2012 – Chelsea Women

As well as winning the 2020-21 WSL, Hayes reached the Champions League final with Chelsea this season and in doing so became the first female manager to reach the Champions League final in twelve years.
The fairytale story was not to be though, with Chelsea going down 4-0 to Barcelona Femeni in May.
Chelsea’s 4-0 loss in the final is the largest margin of victory in any single-legged UEFA Women’s Champions League Final.

After the defeat, Russian billionaire Abramovich made a rare appearance in the Chelsea dressing room as he consoled the players and manager Emma Hayes.
Abramovich is almost never seen visiting the players after games as he has taken a much quieter approach to his ownership role in recent years.
And Hayes explained how she told Abramovich that her side remain hungry for European glory despite the thrashing they had just experienced.
She said: “Our owner came in to see us, and all the girls were very quick to tell him that we’ll be back here and we’ll work hard on the training pitch to make sure we do that.
“If I know this group well enough I know that they mean those words. This is just another step in our journey.”

The ITV team, which includes Hayes, are set live broadcast nineteen Group Stage games at Euro 2020, the first of which is the Group B clash between Belgium and Russia in St. Petersburg on June 12.
The tournament itself gets underway on June 11, as Turkey take on Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

What was Marko Arnautovic’s celebration against North Macedonia at Euro 2020 about?

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC celebrated angrily when he managed to score against North Macedonia in Austria’s opening Euro 2020 group game at the weekend. The former West Ham man scored the third goal in a 3-1 win for Austria after coming on as a substitute late in the game.

And once the ball hit the back of the net, Arnautovic wheeled away to celebrate in bizarre fashion, angering North Macedonia players.
What was Marko Arnautovic’s celebration about?
Austria were already in command of their Euro 2020 clash when Arnautovic scored to make it 3-1.
The former Stoke striker was quick to celebrate in emphatic fashion, shouting and pointing at North Macedonia players and supporters in the process.
Austria captain David Alaba had to restrain Arnautovic from saying too much more and grabbed the 32-year-old by the face to tell him to stop.

The Football Federation of Macedonia have since called for UEFA to investigate what exactly Arnautovic said to North Macedonia’s players.
It’s been reported that Arnautovic made racist remarks during his celebration.
The FFM claim that insults were directed at Leeds man Ezgjan Alioski, who has Albanian routes.
“The FFM strongly condemns the nationalistic outburst of Austrian player Marko Arnautovic, after a goal scored in yesterday’s match, addressed to Ezgjan Alioski,” a statement said.
“At the same time, we inform you that we have submitted an official letter to Uefa demanding the harshest punishment for Arnautovic.”
“We are always against nationalism, discrimination and all other forms of insults and outbursts that are not in the spirit of football and values that we all stand together.
“We will always stand up and defend the interests and dignity of Macedonian national players wherever they perform.”
Arnautovic, meanwhile, has Serbian routes and Serbia have historic tension with North Macedonia.

While UEFA continue to investigate, Arnautovic has apologised for his actions.
“There were some heated words yesterday in the emotions of the game for which I would like to apologise, especially to my friends from North Macedonia and Albania,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I would like to say one thing very clearly: I am not a racist.
“I have friends in almost every country and I stand for diversity. Everyone who knows me is aware of that.”

Aluko has also been part of Amazon Prime’s pundit team for their coverage of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
Aluko is the eighth highest capped England women’s player of all-time
What was the controversy surrounding her and Mark Sampson?
ALUKO accused the then England manager of “racist” comments in August 2017.
Sampson was found by independent barrister Katherine Newton to have made “ill-judged attempts at humour, which, as a matter of law, were discriminatory on the grounds of race.”
Newton added: “It was fundamentally important to emphasise that I have not concluded that MS is a racist.”
It was alleged that Sampson had told Aluko to make sure her Nigerian relatives did not bring Ebola to Wembley and he also asked Spence how many times she had been arrested.
The FA was forced to issue an apology after it was found that they had known about the comments since 2016 and had cleared Sampson of any wrongdoing.
Sampson later apologised, saying: “When players made complaints, they needed to be handled with the respect they deserved.”

Toni Kroos and Robbie Williams’ bizarre bromance from gushing tweets to plea for Germany star to join Man Utd

AS MAGICIAN Toni Kroos prepares for his sixth major tournament with Germany, he has popstar Robbie Williams under his spell cheering him on all the way.The pair have struck up the unlikeliest of friendships over the years.
Robbie Williams and Toni Kroos have formed a strong bond over the years and are now good friends
The former Take That singer appeared in the Kroos documentary, posing with his signed shirt
A quiet, modest 31-year-old German from the small town of Greifswald on the Baltic Sea coast and Stoke’s serial singer-songwriter-entertainer.
Despite their 16-year age gap and the obvious clashes in culture between Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Staffordshire, their bromance has blossomed.
It all started with a single tweet, written in German, on February 13, 2014.
Kroos wrote: “The greatest artist and entertainer of our time is turning 40! Happy Birthday @robbiewilliams”
The tweet has just 64 retweets and 86 likes but sparked the brilliant bond between Kroos and Williams.
Exactly 365 days later came part two: “Happy Birthday to the greatest entertainer of our time! @robbiewilliams #legend”
It was in September 2016 they both went ‘public’ before a series of further tweets and eventually meeting backstage at a Williams concert.
But their adoration for one another reached peak levels in 2018.

Germany, defending champions, endured a nightmare start to their World Cup defence with defeat to Mexico.
Drawing 1-1 with Sweden deep in the fifth minute of injury time, Joachim Low’s side won a free-kick on the left edge of the box.
A neat one-two with Marco Reus opened up the angle and Kroos swept a flying effort past the Swedish Bodies and into the far corner to keep their tournament dreams alive.
Williams tweeted: “I love you @ToniKroos x” and was gushing in his praise.
The man with seven UK No1 singles said in the Amazon Prime feature-length documentary Kroos: “The wand of the foot he’s got, he’s Merlin.
“I knew that Germany wasn’t doing that great but then one man can kind of turn around the fortunes of a whole nation.
“And in that moment, that was when I thought Germany’s World Cup was going to start. And I think Germany did too.”
Unfortunately for Kroos, Williams and Germany, defeat to South Korea in their final group game meant the hard work had Come Undone and sent Die Mannschaft packing with the Group F wooden spoon.

Kroos, predictably, described Williams’ Reveal autobiography as a ‘must read’.
And the personally-signed Real Madrid ‘Kroos 8’ – one of the gifts the pals have sent each other – is dearly treasured by Robbie.
But it is the way the German dictates on the pitch with his passing quality that leaves his superfan in awe.
Williams added: “The laser passing, the 50-yard pass. It doesn’t loop either way, it just goes straight to the foot of the person.
“I don’t think I’ve ever struck a ball where the ball has done that in my life. He does it regularly, all the time.”
Kroos has written plenty of chapters in his incredible career – individually, for Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Germany.
Real Madrid make me feel small as a person, make me feel as though I’ve got a small p****Robbie Williams
His trophy cabinet includes three Bundesligas, two LaLigas, four Champions Leagues, the World Cup and a record five Club World Cups.
Germany are not among the favourites for this Euro 2020 campaign, pitted against the reigning European and world champions Portugal and France respectively in Group F.
So it would take something special for Low’s men to reign Supreme come July 11.
But whatever happens, Kroos can have No Regrets – although Manchester United-supporting Williams is still keen for him to perform an encore at Old Trafford before hanging up the boots he cleans himself.
Williams concluded: “Real Madrid make me feel small as a person, make me feel as though I’ve got a small p****.
“We are supposed to have the best league in the world and that doesn’t make me feel good because football is my religion and I don’t want there to be other gods who are bigger.
“Toni’s achieved everything that he can possibly achieve. Right now he should just make sure his future’s completely and utterly safe.
“That being said, come to Manchester United!”

Rio Ferdinand urges Man Utd to seal Declan Rice transfer as England star is compared to West Ham icon Michael Carrick

Rice, 22, shone for Ferdinand’s old club West Ham last season, captaining them in most games as they finished sixth – their highest league finish this millennium – and secured Europa League football.
The holding midfielder has also cemented himself in the England starting XI – playing 90 minutes in the Three Lions’ Euro 2020 opener win against Croatia on Sunday.
And Ferdinand – who came through West Ham’s academy – risked the wrath of the Irons’ faithful by imploring the Red Devils to sign him this summer.
The 42-year-old held a Twitter Q&A on Monday and was asked: “What No 6 should Man Utd buy this summer?”
And the former England ace simply wrote: “Welcome @_DeclanRice.”
United are reportedly planning to bid for Rice when the transfer window opens to test the East Londoners’ resolve though the club have made it clear they will not entertain offers of less than £100million.
Rice has also said how excited he is to play in Europe with the Hammers next season and it is understood he will not push for a move.
Ferdinand is not Rice’s only admirer with former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara drawing comparisons between him and ex-Man Utd and West Ham midfielder Carrick.
BETTING OFFERS – CLAIM OVER £2000 IN FREE BETS

The 39-year-old is now one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team coaching staff at Old Trafford having spent 12 years there as a player.
But – like Ferdinand – Carrick is also a product of West Ham’s famous Academy of Football having spent seven years there between 1997 and 2004.
He broke into the first team but left for Tottenham after a season in the Championship having failed to help West Ham regain their Premier League status at the first time of asking in the 2003-04 campaign.
Speaking about Rice’s assured performance for England against Croatia, O’Hara told TalkSPORT: “Clever footballer.
“He reminds me a lot of Michael Carrick and the way he plays.
“When you have players like that in the team you’re just comfortable.
    ‘CALMING INFLUENCE’
“As a midfielder you know you’ve got someone alongside you or behind you who can protect the ball.
“You know as a centre-half you can give him the ball under pressure and you know he’s not going to give it away.
“You need calming influences in your team and Declan Rice is that.
“The more players you get like that in your side who are all comfortable on the ball, [the better].”
Rice is best mates with Mason Mount and spent eight years as a schoolboy at Chelsea before moving to West Ham in 2014.
Ferdinand also made headlines earlier this week for trolling Sir Alex Ferguson after Scotland lost their Euro 2020 opener 2-0 to Czech Republic at Hampden Park on Monday.
