The ex-England captain, 46, was in attendance at the home of football with his lad Romeo.
The father and son were looking sharp as they got suited and booted for the Euro 2020 clash.
They saw Sir Alex in the Wembley restaurant before kick-off and posed for photos together.
Beckham and Scot Fergie won nine major trophies together at Manchester United including the famous Treble in 1999.
But they were on opposite sides last night as Ferguson cheered on Steve Clarke’s underdogs.
Despite his remarkable success in football, which includes 17 major trophies in the dugout, the ex-United boss wasn’t handed the red carpet treatment in North London.
After arriving at the stadium, Ferguson was refused entry to VIP parking by a steward.
Beckham and Mel C – real name Melanie Chisholm – also grabbed a picture together before the main event.

Sporty Spice and Becks’ wife Victoria, Posh, were in the legendary girl band together.
And the game could have done with a bit of extra spice as the two sides played out an uneventful 0-0 draw.
John Stones had England’s best chance but planted his free header from close range against the post.
At the other end, Scotland had a few opportunities to win the game but a combination of Jordan Pickford’s wrist and some poor finishing ensured it finished a stalemate.

Boozy football fans trash Leicester Square leaving piles of rubbish before Euros Wembley showdown with Scotland

BOOZY football fans trashed Leicester Square last night as England faced Scotland in a Euro 2020 showdown at Wembley.Tartan Army supporters swigging Buckfast from the bottle left huge piles of rubbish as they invaded London ahead of the nail-biting tie – which ended in a tense 0-0 draw.

Thousands of diehard fans made the trip to the capital ahead of the Euros clash, despite only 3,000 having tickets for the game due to Covid restrictions.
They donned Scotland shirts, kilts and fancy dress as they made their way to train stations at the crack of dawn to make it in plenty of time for kick off.
With no official fan zone, supporters filled Leicester Square’s fountain with bubbles before having a dip and soaking cops with booze.
They were in high spirits as they chanted “no Scotland, no party” and did the conga through the streets.
Others draped in Scottish flags braved the downpours to play the bagpipes – setting the tone for the crunch clash.

Elsewhere, rowdy England fans flooded London’s pubs and outdoor screenings, ready for the auld rivals fixture.
The Met Police’s two-day order warning fans to not congregate in the West End seemingly failed, as revellers on both sides partied.
But the square – which does not have a massive screen this year – emptied as the game began and fans headed to pubs to watch the action.
As the crowds parted, the aftermath of mounds of discarded cans, bags and flags was clearly visible.
A sensible few stuck around to try to clean up the bottles and rubbish strewn across the square.

Both teams came away with one point after a goal-less 90 minutes, but it was clear which supporters were happier with the result.
While Three Lions fans rued a lacklustre performance, crowds of noisy Scots sang and danced into the night in the West End watched by ranks of cops.
Avid fans had draped themselves in flags and covered themselves in paint for the game – the first time England has taken on the Scots in a major championship since 1996.

Before kick-off, cheers drowned out boos as players from both sides took the knee in support of racial equality.
Then massive roars of support echoed across pubs in London as the nail-biting game unfolded.
Within the first minutes, John Stones hit the post in a spectacular effort for the England team.
And England fans were left in suspense as Reece James headed the ball off the line as the Scots took a shot at the goal in the 60th minute.
After a last desperate scramble in Scotland’s box, fans celebrated their first Euros point as they cheered and danced in the street.
Fans packed their previous haunt Leicester Square – where boisterous Scots lit flares and joined raucous chants.

Police confirmed that 18 people had been arrested last night as fans continued to crowd London’s streets.
The Met tweeted: “As of 22.30hrs 18 people had been arrested as part of our policing operation during the England v Scotland game.
“The majority of these were in central London and in the vicinity of Wembley Stadium. Officers continue to engage with crowds.”
It didn’t stop fans letting off flares to choruses of “Yes sir I can boogie” – famously sung by the Scots team as they qualified for the Euros.
One topless Scotland fan was even spotted “Klinsmann diving” down a soaking London street.
The Tartan Army foot soldier launched himself onto a city centre pavement through puddles as fellow supporters cheered him on.

Speaking after the match, Malcolm Gillespie, from Falkirk but living in London, said the draw was an “amazing” result for Scotland.
He praised the setup at the central London designated key worker area in Trafalgar Square.
The 41-year-old, who watched with his son Santiago, eight, said: “I’m happy but I definitely think we could have edged a win. They’ve played really well.
“It’s been fantastic, a really nice atmosphere.

Thousands of supporters made the trip from Scotland
The stormy weather didn’t dampened anyone’s spirits with pubs filled with the Tartan Army.
And London stations were packed with Scotland supporters spilling out of sold-out trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh in the 24 hours before the game.
Around 20,000 fans made the trip across the border in a huge display of support for their team.
But Scotland was allocated less than 3,000 tickets for the sellout 21,500 qualifier at Wembley.
And others have questioned why Nicola Sturgeon allowed the fans to travel across the border – despite current Covid rules and prolonged lockdown.

Supporters gathered in Trafalgar Square to watch the match – with the area set up in a socially-distanced way for 750 key workers, with two large screens either side of Nelson’s Column.
Inside, England supporter Jamie Powell predicted a one nil win for the Three Lions but said whatever the result it will be an “enjoyable night”.
The 24-year-old sales representative from London said: “The atmosphere on the way here was electric. Everyone was singing.
“It was really positive vibes. You see both sets of fan singing. It’ll just be quite an enjoyable night for everyone.
“Even though it’s a big game I don’t think it matters with the England/Scotland rivalry, it’s going be good one.”

The oldest fixture in international football is steeped in history – with the last time England took on the Scots in the Euros in 1996.
Gazza marked his winning goal with his infamous dentist chair celebration as the Three Lions went on to win 2-0.
Wembley historically hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for Scotland – with England beating the Auld Enemy 18 times in 32 games at the stadium.
The last time the two teams met at Wembley saw Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Gary Cahill steering England to a 3-0 win for the World Cup qualifier in 2016.
Scotland fans had been urged not to travel without tickets or having arranged a safe place to watch the game.
The Met Police were forced to issue a 48-hour dispersal order in central London yesterday allowing officers to remove troublemakers from the streets.

Chief Inspector Joe Stokoe, spokesperson for the Met’s policing operation during Euro 2020, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the Euros in London. People have waited a long time for this to take place and we know that everyone is very excited, so we ask members of the public to look after themselves and each other and enjoy the occasion safely and responsibly.
“Our officers are here to look after you so please speak to them if you have any concerns.
“Stay vigilant and report anything suspicious to police, and please be mindful of the weather too, which is not expected to be good.
“There will of course be people in London who won’t be watching the game and we urge you to consider those people and behave respectfully.
“London also remains in a public health crisis. There are government guidelines in place and we ask people to follow these and remain socially distanced.
“We have contingency plans to deal with any number of potential incidents as they arise but my message is clear: if you don’t have ticket to the matches, fan zone or officially booked into a pub, bar or club, please do not come to London – you could end up missing the game.”
    AULD RIVALS
One naked Scottish fan was led away from his party in Hyde Park ahead of the match.
Police confirmed a 25-year-old man was arrested for indecent exposure in Hyde Park but later cautioned and released.
And a second man was arrested for the attempted theft of a police officer’s hat, assault with intent of avoiding arrest and assault of emergency worker.
Scotland lost their first qualifier to the Czech Republic 2-0 on Monday, the day after England beat Croatia 1-0.

The teams last played competitively in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, with England winning 3-0 at Wembley and the teams drawing 2-2 at Hampden.
Scotland and England played each other in a friendly at the end of each season for decades.
But the traditional joust was scrapped over repeated crowd trouble.

Team news, injury updates, latest odds for Spain vs Poland with Euro rivals both seeking first win in Group E

SPAIN will be looking to overturn a poor showing against Sweden when they face Poland on Saturday.La Roja failed to convert their 85 per cent possession into goals in their Group E opener as it finished goalless between the two sides.
Spain have been training hard after they slipped to a 0-0 draw against Sweden despite having 85 per cent of the ballCredit: Reuters
Poland lost their tournament opener against Slovakia but will hope to bounce back against SpainCredit: EPA
Poland will also be looking for an improved performance after suffering defeat to Slovakia in their opener.
You can catch all the action from the Estadio De La Cartuja at 8pm on BBC One.
    What’s the form?
Despite their previous showing, this Spanish team is littered with individual talent, and on paper, are good enough to get out of this group comfortably.
That being said Spain are nowhere near as strong as they were when they won the tournament in 2008 and 2012 – either side of winning the World Cup.
Spain do hold a 100 per cent record against the Poles though – winning all three of their previous meetings – and they will be expecting to win this tie.
Poland were one of the most impressive teams during qualifying and came into this tournament with a swagger after topping their group and losing all but one game.
It wasn’t Robert Lewandowski’s day against Slovakia, however after a successful season with Bayern Munich where he broke Gerd Muller’s record of 40 goals in a single season – the 32-year-old will be hungry for goals.
Lewandowski said: “It’s a shame we weren’t able to at least get a draw.”
“We weren’t good enough in defence to create clear situations that could pave the way to goal for us and these types of errors are not forgiven at the European Championship.”

    Who’s in and who’s out?
The big news from Luis Enrique last week was that for the first time ever, there were no Real Madrid players included in his squad for a major tournament – although they still have a plethora of talent at their disposal.
Aymeric Laporte started for Spain in their group E opener after switching allegiances from France and proved rather handy in place of the left-out Sergio Ramos.
It will be interesting to see if Enrique opts to employ a more ‘direct’ line-up and formation against Poland after leaving the likes of Thiago and Gerard Moreno on the bench against Sweden.
For Poland, you can expect hero Lewandowski to start amongst Mateusz Klich and Southampton star Jan Bednarek.
Grzegorz Krychowiak however did get sent off against Slovakia, so he won’t be available for this one.

    Who to watch out for…
Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno didn’t start against Sweden but when he came on he had a couple of great chances to score.
The 29-year-old offered far more up-top than the lacklustre Alvaro Morata, who looked extremely low on confidence and missed a golden opportunity.
The forward had a blinder of a season over in Spain, racking up 23 goals and seven assists – also playing a key tenet in manager Unai Emery’s Europa League success this season.
    If the game is rubbish…
Then check out record-breaker Robert Lewandowski’s wife Anna Lewandowska.
The stunner, 32, is a health and fitness whizz and a big international star in the world of karate – having won 29 medals and represented her country in various World Championships.

Team news, injury updates, latest odds for Portugal vs Germany as Cristiano Ronaldo aims to book Euros last 16 place

PORTUGAL take on Germany in group F in what promises to be one of the games of the tournament. Both sides were relatively flat in their openers, although Portugal did have a thumping final ten minutes to beat Hungary 3-0.
Cristiano Ronaldo will hope to replicate his Hungary heroics against GermanyCredit: EPA
Germany know they must bounce back following their 1-0 defeat against FranceCredit: Getty
Germany showed glimpses of what they were made of as they hosted France, but they didn’t offer too much in the final third and lost 1-0.
This one though has all the ingredients to be a stand-out encounter in the Group of Death and you can catch the kick off at 5pm on ITV from the Allianz Arena in Munich.
    What’s the form?
European champions Portugal are now unbeaten in their last seven international fixtures.
Their last defeat came at the hands of the French back in November of last year.
As for Germany, Die Mannschaft’s showing at the 2018 World Cup was a huge disappointment, with them sent packing after finishing rock bottom of their group.
Question marks were raised over Joachim Low’s competence as Germany boss in the run up to the Euros – which included a loss to North Macedonia just before the tournament.
However they did show some signs of threat against France, despite losing 1-0.
The most important thing was the win. It was a difficult match against an opponent that defended well, but we managed to score three goals. I am very grateful to the squad that helped me score two goals, and win Player of the Game.”
“It was fundamental to start on the right foot, to gain confidence. Now, we need to continue this. The next match [vs Germany] is to winCristiano Ronaldo, Portugal

    Who’s in and who’s out?
Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the line after scoring a brace against Hungary.
Premier League trio Diogo Jota, Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva all started in their tournament opener and are also expected to tart.
There are no injury or suspension concerns for either side.
For Germany, Champions League-winning trio Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger all featured against France.
We have yet to see German wonderkid Jamal Musiala, who was called up but failed to feature in Löw’s squad against France.

    Who to watch out for
Antonio Ruediger’s and his weird looking face mask.
The German and Chelsea defender confirmed he will continue to wear a mask throughout Euro 2020 after sustaining a facial injury during the latter stages of last season.
Rudiger started Germany’s opening Euro 2020 match alongside Mats Hummels and Mattias Ginter in a back-three.
And who knows, maybe it will be the lucky charm Germany need to clinch a result.
Tomorrow we have to work on a few things. Then we look ahead. Now we’ve lost, but anything is still possible, we still have two games and we can straighten everything out.”Joachim Low, Germany

    If the game’s rubbish…
Then look no further than Cristiano Ronaldo’s wag, Georgina Rodriguez.
The pair have been together for almost five years after meeting in a Gucci store, where she worked as a shop assistant.

Team news, injury updates, latest odds for Hungary vs France as Les Bleus search for European Championship redemption

AFTER an entertaining set of opening fixtures in the ‘group of death’, World Cup champions France take on outsiders Hungary in Group F. After an emphatic win against Germany on Tuesday, Les Bleus will look at this fixture as a ‘must win’, with the security of knowing that three points would guarantee their spot in the last 16.

World champions France in good spirits in training as Antione Griezmann lifts up Ousmane DembeleCredit: EPA
Hungary will be playing on home soil in a jam-packed Ferenc Puskás Stadium and you can catch all the action at 2pm on BBC ONE.
    What’s the form?
On paper, this should be a straight forward night for France – but we all know that in football, anything can happen – even if you are the reigning World Cup champions.
Les Bleus qualified for this tournament by topping their group, with an almost perfect record (P10 W8 D1 L1) – and got off to the perfect start to life with a comfortable win against Germany.
France boss Didier Deschamps said: “We played a great game against very good opponents.
“I knew my players would be ready and we were up for the fight.”
The french are a well oiled machine up top, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, Olivier Giroud, Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann…. the list just goes on and on.
Although Hungary were thumped 3-0 by Portugal, Marco Rossi’s side will need to look back at their valiant effort five years back at Euro 2016, where they topped their group with five points.
Impressively though, Hungary were unbeaten in their last 11 international fixtures before Portugal, with their last defeat dating back to September 2020 against Russia.
Karim Benzema made his competitive return for France vs GermanyCredit: EPA

    Who’s in and who’s out?
Karim Benzema looked bang in form as he returned to the squad after spending six years in exile.
France have no injury or suspension concerns, but Deschamps may rotate with Portugal in mind next Wednesday.
Despite being huge outsiders, Hungary have several Bundesliga stars.
Peter Gulacsi (RB Leipzig), Willi Orban (RB Leipzig), Roland Sallai (Freiburg) and Adam Szalai (Mainz) are all key for Hungary.
However, star man Dominik Szoboszlai will miss the entirety of their campaign after failing to recover from a groin injury.

    Who to watch out for…
Keep and eye out for the N’Golo Kante, or the one who just doesn’t stop running.
No but really, the Frenchman has 193 recoveries in a Chelsea shirt this season, including 59 interceptions and 129 duels won.
Look out for his heat-map after the game. He covers pretty much every blade of grass.

Euro 2020: England fans left frustrated as Three Lions outplayed by Scotland and held to 0-0 draw

ENGLAND fans were left frustrated last night as the Three Lions were held to a 0-0 Euros draw by battling Scotland. Gareth Southgate’s stars missed a golden chance to seal their place in the knock-out stages thanks to a plucky display by the Auld Enemy.

But they remain hot favourites to win Group D if they beat the Czech Republic on Tuesday night.
A point will see them qualify and put them on collision course with one of France, Germany or Portugal.
The atmosphere among Wembley’s 22,500 Covid-restricted crowd reached fever pitch before kick-off when the Scottish anthem was booed by home fans.
Both teams took the knee with the anti-racism gesture greeted by a mixture of jeers and applause.
After a cagey start, England defender John Stones towered above the Scottish defence to head against the post.
Moments later Chelsea’s Mason Mount was unable to convert another chance from six yards out with the Scottish defence in tatters.
The visitors rallied and England keeper Jordan Pickford palmed away a Stephen O’Donnell volley on 30 minutes.
Below-par England huffed and puffed but failed to register a single shot on target in the first half.

Their defence snuffed out England captain Harry Kane, who appeared tired before being substituted for Marcus Rashford.
The final whistle signalled only the fourth 0-0 in 115 meetings between football’s oldest rivals.
Fans in the stadium and millions more in pubs and homes across the nation were left subdued.
Three Lions fan Steve Biggins, a 34-year-old roofer from Fulham, West London said: “It was a tough watch because on paper we had a far better team than the Scots.
“But they dug deep and have succeeded in frustrating us. But it was never going to be easy and we still have a great chance if we can get fired up to beat the Czechs.”
Loss adjuster Paul Elliott, 26, from Luton, Beds said: “It’s not the result I hoped for or expected because we came into the game red hot favourites.
“But that’s what happens in football and I’m sure we have the character and the great players to bounce back.
“It’s a small setback but we’re unbeaten. It’s still coming home.”
Retired council officer John Millar, 61, from Stourbridge, West Mids, said: “We had the chances to win but never quite got going, and fair play to the Scots they put up a hell of a fight.
“But we have four points in the group and a great chance of progressing if we can get back into top gear.” Storms lashed London for hours before kick-off.

Up to 20,000 Scots headed south despite being allocated just 3,000 tickets. Boozed-up fans danced naked in London’s Hyde Park.
They skinny-dipped in the park’s Serpentine and stumbled all over the capital chanting: “No Scotland, no party!”
In Leicester Square, cheeky fans lifted kilts and bared bums as the West End turned into a sea of tartan and St Andrew saltires. Police kept a low profile as the atmosphere stayed good-natured while the crowd cheered their heroes.
The rain failed to dampen the Scotland fans’ spirits as they swigged beers and lit blue and white flares. And one reveller poked fun by wearing a glum Gareth Southgate mask.
But Covid distancing appeared to be totally ignored — amid mounting anger that Scottish Premier Nicola Sturgeon had done nothing to halt the mass invasion.
Earlier this year she condemned Rangers fans who gathered to celebrate their league title — but said nothing about the Tartan Army’s invasion last night, only appealing for them to “stay safe” and “be respectful to our hosts”.

England Wags were out in force in the socially-distanced VIP seats and wore Three Lions shirts bearing their partners’ names.
They included Harry Kane’s wife Katie, 27, Jordan Pickford’s missus Megan Davison, 25, and Kyle Walker’s partner Annie Kilner, 27.
Also there were Harry Maguire’s fiancée Fern Hawkins, 25, Luke Shaw’s girlfriend Anouska Santos, 29 and Kieran Trippier’s wife Charlotte, 29.
The Wags army was bolstered by Kalvin Phillips’ girlfriend Ashleigh Behan, 26, Raheem Sterling’s girlfriend Paige Milian, 26 and Declan Rice’s partner Lauren Fryer, 22
The girls have been banned from seeing their loved ones owing to Covid restrictions, which could keep them apart till July 11 if England reach the final.
But the lionesses have formed their own bubble during the tournament and were on top form as they cheered on their men. Celebs at the game included David Beckham and son Romeo, and Scotland-mad Sir Rod Stewart, who paid a fortune for an executive box for six family and friends.
The singer, who was born in London but is of Scottish descent, had predicted a 1-0 win for Steve Clarke’s men.
Sir Rod told The Sun: “I’ve been watching these games since I was aged 14 — England and Scotland — and I’ve had my heart broken so many times.”
Chief Inspector Joe Stokoe, spokesman for the Met’s Euros police operation, said: “Two men were arrested last night. A 25-year-old man was arrested for indecent exposure in Hyde Park.
“He was taken into police custody before being cautioned and released. Another man was arrested for the attempted theft of a police officer’s hat, assault with intent of avoiding arrest and assault of emergency worker.
“He was taken to a South London police station where he currently remains.”

ENGLAND fans begged manager Gareth Southgate to bring back his lucky waistcoat after the team’s flat performance last night.
His natty tailoring took the country by storm during England’s progression through the 2018 World Cup.
But his new raincoat hasn’t impressed.

Jose Mourinho: England’s fear of losing kept Kalvin Phillips on pitch against Scotland… they didn’t even try to win

I DIDN’T see any risk or desire from England to gamble and try and win. What was so good against Croatia was the midfield pairing of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips.

If England needed to beat Scotland then I think Phillips would have been subbed around the 60th minute for more creativity.
But a fear of losing kept him on the pitch.
The pragmatism of the result and qualification showed itself clearly from minute 70 to 75, that it was more important than the emotion of the game or the desire to win against a historical rival.
At full back, the intention of Gareth Southgate was correct in the sense of a pure left-footed left back in Luke Shaw and an offensive player like James.
The intention was for them to really go, but in reality I remember just James hitting a shot from the edge of the box and Shaw trying to score with the outside of his foot.
I didn’t see any crosses from them, I didn’t see any progression, I didn’t see any overlaps.
They were solid defensively and good positionally, but they should give a little bit more.
I don’t think it’s a drama for the English camp, it’s more a drama for the fans waiting for a big match against Scotland.

England have four points, they’re fine. They kept a clean sheet and have qualified already with four points.
Scotland were amazing and put them in that situation.
They went with five at the back again but Scott McTominay is a midfielder who can build.
Kieran Tierney is a left-back who can build, while Grant Hanley is much more comfortable in the middle than on the right.
Those three in the middle were solid but at the same time they had more possession and were more fluid with the ball.
And then the work rate of the two strikers was incredible throughout.
Tierney, Billy Gilmour and Che Adams didn’t play against the Czech Republic and they made the difference, especially the kid Gilmour.

He was always moving, always showing himself, always wanting the ball.
He was turning under pressure and linked the game brilliantly.
They were in control of their emotions but brought them to the game.
Steve Clark organised the game tactically very well, but more important than that was their spirit – they came not just for a football match, they were coming for a football match against England at Wembley.
They were united and ready to fight, but confident enough to play.
They go home as heroes and the door is still open for them to qualify against Croatia, who are not showing a huge threat.
