The Dutch have been excellent at the Euros so far and you can catch the form team in action on ITV at 5pm this Monday.

    What’s the form?
Holland have emerged as one of the favourites after a brilliant start to their campaign.
Frank de Boer’s side secured a 3-2 victory against Ukraine in their opening game thanks to a late goal from PSV wing back Denzel Dumfries.
They followed that up with a comfortable 2-0 win against Austria in Amsterdam.
Luck has certainly been on Holland’s side during their first two fixtures – but the same can’t be said for North Macedonia.

Little was expected of Igor Angelovski’s side having never appeared in a major tournament before.
But they have been competitive and, on another day, could have easily had a few points in the bag by now.
The North Macedonians lost 3-1 to Austria in their tournament opener and suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Ukraine last time out.
“In the second half against Ukraine we were the real North Macedonia, and showed that we deserved to be at the European Championship. This is how we should play against the Dutch. We want to put on a real show and hopefully pick up our first points of the tournament.”Igor Angelovski, North Macedonia manager

    Who’s in and who’s out?
Both managers have a full squad to pick from.
Angelovski is expected to name his best team – including Leeds star Ezgjan Alioski and veteran Goran Pandev – as North Macedonia chase their first win at a major tournament.
Although Holland do not have any players at risk of being suspended if they pick up a yellow card, De Boer is still likely to rotate his squad.
Ex-Arsenal youngster Donyell Malen might get his chance and Manchester City defender Nathan Ake could feature.
“North Macedonia really deserve to be here. They have done very well, they are well organised. And then you have this sly fox [Goran] Pandev who really makes the difference. Great to see he still enjoys playing and can be important for his country. We can’t underestimate them.”Frank de Boer, Holland manager

    Watch out for…
    New Barcelona signing Memphis Depay.
The ex-Manchester United winger has joined the Spanish giants and will be keen to prove himself on the international stage ahead of his big move.
The 27-year-old has made an excellent start to the tournament, scoring in Holland’s 2-0 victory against Austria.

WITH Belgium expected to beat Finland in the other Group B clash, Russia know a draw against Denmark will probably be enough to finish as runners-up.But Denmark won’t make it easy for the 2018 World Cup hosts as they need three points to have any chance of progressing.

    What’s the form?
Russia had a nightmare start to Euro 2020 when Belgium hammered them 3-0 in their opening match on home soil.
But Stanislav Cherchesov’s team quickly redeemed themselves with a solid 1-0 victory against Finland in their second game.
Russia will need to be even more organised when they take on Denmark as their opponents require a win to keep their European hopes alive.
Kasper Hjulmand’s side were devastated when team-mate Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during their tournament opener against Finland.

The game was abandoned but resumed the same evening as the Finns won 1-0, although it’s impossible to judge Denmark after Eriksen’s medical emergency.
The Danes looked decent against Belgium in their second match, taking the lead inside 120 seconds before Kevin De Bruyne scored twice to secure a 2-1 win.
Neither side managed to win their qualifying group, with Russia picking up eight wins from ten and Denmark managing four wins from eight.

    Who’s in and who’s out?
Both teams are expected to play their strongest teams as they search for three points.
Eriksen is the only absentee from either squad, although there are six players at risk of picking up a one-match ban.
Russian stars Dmitri Barinov, Georgi Dzhikiya and Magomed Ozdoyev and Danish regulars Mikkel Damsgaard, Mathias Jensen and Daniel Wass will miss the next round if they recieve a booking.
“No matter what, we shall go out there and try win the match. It is going to be an unbelievably hard match against Russia. They are a good team. We shouldn’t force anything. We all know how hard it is to force things, and we should keep a level head and prevent mistakes. It is going to be a good, long game again.”Kasper Hjulmand, Denmark manager

    Watch out for…
    Ex-Chelsea star Yuri Zhirkov.
The 37-year-old is still playing, despite leaving Stamford Bridge a decade ago.
He featured in Russia’s opener but was replaced by Zenit star Daler Kuzyayev for their victory against Finland.
Zhirkov may not feature against Denmark but playing in the tournament is still a superb effort for a man that made his international debut SIXTEEN years ago.

    If the game’s rubbish…

Raheem Sterling in haven of happiness at Euro 2020 as England star enjoys playing time away from Man City

IT was curious to listen to Raheem Sterling yesterday.Curious to hear him describe England duty as a haven of happiness, despite the comedown from Friday’s gloomy draw with Scotland.
⚽ Follow ALL of the latest news and updates from Euro 2020 with our live blog
Raheem Sterling is enjoying his time with England after growing frustrated at a lack of game time with Manchester City
Sterling says the England squad has not been affected by Friday’s draw with Scotland
And curious to hear him suggest he was dissatisfied with a lack of game time at club level — despite starting 28 times in Manchester City’s title-winning campaign and in the Champions League final as well as the Carabao Cup final.
While Harry Kane’s form and club future are a source of national debate, Sterling faces similar issues.
There are suggestions that City could be willing to sell the winger, who was unhappy at being benched by Pep Guardiola for both legs of his club’s Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Sterling scored just ten times in the Premier League last season — half his haul from the previous campaign and well down on the 2018-19 season, when he was crowned Footballer of the Year.
And as England prepared for their final Euros group match against the Czech Republic tomorrow night, Sterling was asked about an interview he gave last month where he stated that he was “nowhere near the level I know I can be”.
Asked why he felt that had been the case, Sterling replied: “It is just happiness — just being happy, enjoying my football and that is what I am doing being here with the national team.”
Then Sterling was asked whether he had not been happy in recent months.

EURO 2020 FREE BETS: GET OVER £2,000 IN NEW CUSTOMER DEALS

And he responded: “If you’re not playing, you’re not happy. That’s me, that has been me since I was a kid. If I am playing football I am really happy — if I’m not, I’m not happy.”
Sterling is perhaps more important to England than to City right now. He has started both games at the Euros – scoring the only goal in either match, in that opening victory over Croatia.
Yet many would prefer that Gareth Southgate went with Jack Grealish.
Sterling has been critical of England’s performances in both matches — claiming they did not keep possession well enough against the Croats and that they did not show enough “personality” against the Scots.
And Sterling, 26, was certainly in tune with the mood of the nation when he suggested that England need to show more positivity.
Sterling is confident Harry Kane will deliver for England when it matters

He said: “I feel like, for me and Phil (Foden) and the other wingers, the more we can get on the ball at the edge of the opposition box, be a threat there, it will be better for us because those are the positions we want to be in.
“At the same time, we have to understand that this is international football and teams are more robust, they sit in, defending for their lives.
“We’ve just got to use the ball better and try to get the players on the ball in the right positions so we can harm the opposition.”
As for Kane, who has looked sluggish in both matches at the Euros, Sterling is adamant that the captain will come good if he receives better service.
Sterling said: “He hasn’t scored in two games. That’s not that serious. I’m sure when we need him most, he’s going to score. That’s not a question in my mind.
“We, as a team need to produce more for him — more crosses into the box.
“He’s a player who knows he can score in every single game and he will be the first to be disappointed but at the same I know when it’s crunch time Harry will be there.”
Sterling insists there is no sense of panic inside the England camp, despite a grim display in the 0-0 against Scotland.
He said: “I myself was very disappointed in the changing room on Friday but then one more day goes by and you realise it is not the end of the world.
“You have got four points. It is tournament football, you can’t expect everything to go our way.
“I feel the fans have an expectation of us, with the players we have in the squad and rightly so.

“But as you can see from different games in the tournament, it is tricky in international football.
“As a team we were disappointed not to win but we have a massive game on Tuesday against the Czech Republic and it’s a game we need to win.
“I just feel there’s more of a panic on the outside than inside the building.
“We don’t want any negativity creeping in and performance levels dropping and confidence dropping — and that’s all that would do.”

Lyndon Dykes says England don’t like it up ’em as Scotland hero reveals his hard-man tactics against Luke Shaw

SCOTLAND hard-man Lyndon Dykes claims England did not like it up ’em when they collided at Wembley on Friday night. The Aussie-born striker made his intentions clear right from the off when he clattered Luke Shaw in the first minute of the cross-border clash.

Dykes has impressed for Scotland since his debut in September 2020Credit: The Sun
And England’s spiky reaction to the physical approach left Dykes convinced he had rattled Gareth Southgate’s men.
He said: “It set the tone when I smashed into Shaw and I think that a few of the boys from the England team didn’t really want it.
“It was right from the kick-off and it was up to me to win the first challenge and I’ve taken him out as well, so it was a good start for us.
“It wasn’t deliberate but I caught him with my knee on his leg and I knew he didn’t like it.
“Shaw didn’t say anything but the referee tried to make me say sorry after I’d got him.
“The ref had actually pulled me in the warm-up before the game had even started and tried to warn me about my headers and stuff.
“But if the ball is there to be won I’m going to challenge for it and that’s what I did.”
Dykes had made his intentions clear the night before last week’s Wembley war when he shaved off all his hair to make himself even more intimidating.
But his attempts to get his Scotland team-mates to follow his lead fell on deaf ears.

EURO 2020 FREE BETS: GET OVER £2,000 IN NEW CUSTOMER DEALS

The 25-year-old QPR star said: “It was a big game for us and when the boys see me with the skinhead they know I mean business.
“I did it before the play-off game in Serbia because it was a daunting place to go and I wanted to get everyone in the right frame of mind.
“So the boys loved it when I did it again last week.
“They told me that when the bald comes out, that’s when Dykes is ready for a battle.
“I did mention the idea of all the players doing the same thing. Imagine the entire starting line-up coming out with their heads shaved down to zero – I think anyone would be scared of that.
“But a few of the boys have already got bad hairlines so they weren’t too keen. Unfortunately, there’s not much more I can do with my hair now.
“Maybe paint my head blue! I don’t mind. I’ll do anything to mix things up for a bit of fun.”
Patrik Schick’s incredible goal for the Czech Republic vs Scotland

But Dykes will not be laughing tomorrow evening as Scotland look to end their goal drought and secure the victory they need against Croatia to qualify for the knockout stages.
And he is ready to put his body on the line all over again in what he is certain is going to be another physical fight.
“I know quite a lot of Croatian people in Australia and they are all big, tough guys who are always solid so I’m sure it will be a good battle.
“I also know a lot of Serbs and they have been in touch because they want to make sure we beat the Croats.
“It’s going to be a scrap but I’m not intimated at all. I grew up playing rugby league trying to smash all the big lads.
“I get stuck in whoever I’m up against and whatever happens they’re going to know they’ve been in a battle.”
