The Duke of Cambridge, who is also President of The Football Association, will appear at Wembley Stadium for England’s fourth match of the Euros.
Prince William has held the position as President of the FA for more than 15 years and has regularly attended the FA Cup final.
Other than supporting England, the Prince is an Aston Villa fan.
Tonight he’ll be joined by Kate Middleton as the Three Lions go head-to-head against Germany.
Prince William was at the stadium supporting England during their nail-biting 1-0 win against the Czech Republic last week.
And today, eager England fans have already hit the pub ahead of tonight’s Euro 2020 showdown with our old enemies.
Three Lions fans have joked they will call in sick tomorrow as they were filmed sinking pints from 7am today.
    ROYAL SUPPORT
Supporters in England shirts flocked to Big Tree pub in Sheffield, which has pinned up 500 flags to celebrate the tournament, in the early hours.
And fans have already turned the sky red and white by letting off flares as they arrive at Wembley draped in England flags.
Roaring choruses of It’s Coming Home can already be heard in London as excited fans chuck beers in the air.
And finally, Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell have rejoined the England squad after observing a ten-day self-isolation period.
The duo were forced to quarantine after coming into contact with Billy Gilmour following the Three Lions’ 0-0 draw with Scotland on June 18.
Both are healthy, and have joined the rest of the squad at England’s team hotel.
The Three Lions face Germany this afternoon in the Round of 16, with Mount and Chilwell now back in contention to feature.

Mount, 22, is hoping to force his way back into Gareth Southgate’s starting XI, having played the full 90 minutes of England’s opening two matches.
Chilwell, meanwhile, is trying to get his first taste of tournament football, having been snubbed in favour of Kieran Trippier and Luke Shaw against Croatia and Scotland.

Why are Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer wearing rainbow captain’s armbands in England vs Germany Euro 2020 clash?

ENGLAND are taking on Germany in a huge Euro 2020 last 16 clash today. But ahead of hostilities commencing on the pitch, Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer will be joining forces to wear rainbow captain’s armbands.

Why are Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer wearing rainbow armbands?
Kane and Neuer are wearing rainbow armbands to celebrate Pride Month, which comes to an end on Wednesday.
Neuer has worn the armband throughout June to support the LGBT community.
And the England account tweeted: “@HKane will join @DFB_Team’s Manuel Neuer in wearing a rainbow captain’s armband for tomorrow’s game at @wembleystadium to mark the end of Pride month, as the #ThreeLions stand in allyship with LGBTQ+ communities around the world.”
While England have been taking the knee against racism at Euro 2020, the players have not yet made a gesture celebrating Pride month, which happens every June.

Germany however, along with some other participating teams, have been very active in support of the LGBT movement.
Before their match against Hungary, the Mayor of Munich had a request to light up the Allianz Arena in rainbow colours turned down by Uefa.
This was due to “politicisation” of football, with the gesture intended to protest a new law proposed by the Hungarian government designed to ban the promotion of homosexuality to under-18s.
However, large numbers of Germany fans brought rainbow flags to the game in protest at Uefa’s decision.
And midfielder Leon Goretzka made his view on the issue clear when he celebrated his equalising goal by forming a heart shape with his hands in front of the Hungarian supporters.
Holland captain Georginio Wijnaldum also wore a pro-LGBT armband with the words ‘One Love’ during his country’s defeat to the Czech Republic in Budapest. More

The crunch clash is one of the oldest rivalries in football – dating back more than five decades.
England will be hoping to recreate the magic of their World Cup win in 1966 at Wembley.
The Three Lions lifted the Jules Rimet trophy thanks to goals from legends Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.

But what followed is 55 years of hurt for England while Germany enjoyed world dominance at major tournaments.
The rivalry has been bolstered by heartbreaking penalty shootouts and controversial disallowed goals.
In the 1970 World Cup, it was West Germany that put an end to England’s campaign in extra time.
Gazza’s tears were then shared by the whole country after England crashed out of the 1990 World Cup semi-final on penalties.

Just six years later, there was more penalty heartache after England gaffer Gareth Southgate missed the back of the net in the 1996 Euro semi-final.
Frank Lampard fell victim to the biggest injustice since Maradona’s “hand of God” at the 2010 World Cup quarter-final.
The ex-Chelsea star’s “ghost goal” clearly made it over the line but without VAR, it was ruled out by the ref and England suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat.
But Southgate will be hoping to heal England’s tortured past when he leads his men out under Wembley’s famous arch tonight.
He has issued a rallying cry to his troops to bring the country together and become footballing legends.
Germany have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight games in major international tournaments.
But the Three Lions have seen a roaring success – keeping their score sheet clean in their last six Euro games.

England will also be keen to avoid a dreaded penalty shootout after favourites France were sent packing by Switzerland last night.
Extra time has also thwarted some of the Euros top teams – with Croatia beaten by Spain yesterday.
Tonight’s winning prize will be a quarter-final against either Sweden or Ukraine in Rome.

England vs Germany Euro 2020 referee Danny Makkelie is part-time armed policeman who has history with Gareth Southgate

ENGLAND’S mouthwatering Euro 2020 clash against Germany will be refereed by a part-time armed policeman. And Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate already has history with man of authority Danny Makkelie.
The man in the middle for the England vs germany game will be Danny MakkelieCredit: Reuters
The 38-year-old works as a part-time police officer in his homeland of HollandCredit: Instagram
The Dutch official was in charge when Southgate, in his role as England U21 boss, lost their first game in the 2015 Euros against Portugal.
But it is his profession off the pitch that tells you that Makkelie will stand for no nonsense on it.
As he progressed up the refeering ladder, the 38-year-old was allowed to go part-time for the police in Rotterdam.
He describes how being an officer is for ‘the heart’ while trotting out onto the football pitch is his ‘passion’.
But Makkelie sees similarities between the two jobs and believes police work has been invaluable to him becoming a successful ref.
Speaking on the Dutch police website, he said: “In both professions you see to it that the rules of the game are observed.
“As a police officer you ensure safety on the street, as a referee you ensure safety on the field.
“You have to be able to communicate well with both citizens and players. In both cases you have to keep a cool head under difficult circumstances.

“[You] make decisions quickly, anticipate unexpected changes, act in a de-escalating manner and radiate authority.
“As a referee and police officer you are an authority. You have an exemplary role – you should always be aware of that.”
Makkelie was born in the Caribbean island of Curacao to a Dutch Royal Marine, but returned home during his childhood.
He grew up with an interest in officiating in basketball matches and football – ultimately it has led to him being a part of the Dutch FA’s referee programmes.

And while Makkelie doesn’t anticipate quitting the day job any time soon, taking his ‘whistle’ around the world is an opportunity he can’t turn down.
He added: “Whistling is my greatest passion.
“What could be better than flying around the world, seeing new things and whistling in the most beautiful stadiums, always making new contacts and meeting famous players?
“It opens many doors and that’s what makes my job as a referee so special.”
Makkelie was first listed as a FIFA referee in 2011 was the whistler for the 2020 Europa League final between Sevilla and Inter Milan.
But this is his first major international tournament in the middle.
But it’s started pretty well for the cop.
SunSport’s expert referee columnist Mark Halsey says it is ‘the perfect appointment by Uefa’ for England’s clash with arch rivals Germany.
England boss Gareth Southgate might just recognise the man in the middle for the Germany clashCredit: Reuters
Halsey explained: “The Dutchman allows physical challenges and lets the game to breathe.
“But the 38-year-old is not afraid to stamp his authority on the game when players overstep the mark and disciplinary action is needed.
“Makkelie was awarded the opening game of the Euros between Italy and Turkey and that shows how highly he’s thought of within Uefa because they always want a major competition to get off to a smooth start.
“His excellent performance in Rome and set the tone for a generally high standard of officiating at the tournament where there has not been too much controversy.
“Let’s hope we’re talking about the football and not the referee – judging by his displays so far Makkelie should have no problems on that score.”
Makkelie made his Eredivise debut in 2009 and has gone on to make over 180 appearances across nine seasons.
He took charge of five Champions League fixtures in 2019, including the quarter-final first leg when Barcelona beat AS Roma 4-1.
The Dutchman was blasted by the Italians’ boss Eusebio di Francesco for denying them a penalty in that game, but it proved irrelevant as Roma heroically won the second leg 3-0 to progress on away goals.
Makkelie has also been involved in the Europe League, officiating 11 matches from 2012 to 2017.
He was the referee for Italy’s easy 3-0 Group A win against Turkey on the Euros’ opening game on June 11.
He only flashed two yellow cards in this game, to Turkey pair Caglar Soyuncu and sub Halil Dervisoglu.
Tonight will be Makkelie’s third match of the Euros after another no-nonsense performance when Russia beat Finland.

Kane has a whole nation cheering him on as he looks for a first goal in the tournament.

His wife Kate posted a picture on Instagram of their kids with the caption “we love you daddy”.
All three were wearing England shirts with the number nine on the back and name ‘daddy’ printed.
The children – four-year-old Ivy, two-year-old Vivienne, and five-month old Louis – were all in the spirit ahead of England’s major showdown with Germany.
Harry and Kate married in 2019 having been engaged for two years.
The childhood sweethearts have been together since 2012 and Kate is a former fitness instructor.
Spurs forward Harry, 27, is yet to score at Euro 2020 and also has speculation over his club future to worry about.

Before Euro 2020 kicked off, Kane made clear his desire to leave Spurs this summer — but despite a £100million bid from Manchester City, he says he has had no conversations about his club future during the tournament.
There have been suggestions that uncertainty over his future might be affecting his form but Kane is adamant he is solely focused on Tuesday’s last-16 clash with Germany.
The striker, 27, said: “It’s not concerned me at all. When I come away with England, I’m just fully focused on England.
“My brother is my agent but the only time I’ve spoken to him over the last few weeks, it was just ‘good luck, let’s get a win and let’s take England all the way’.
“So it doesn’t bother me about the outside noise. When I’m here, I’m with the boys. I try to help them, be a leader in the team.
“I need to get to know the boys, see what makes certain players tick, so I feel like I’ve got enough on my plate to worry about anything outside of England.
“That’s where I’m at and I feel like it’s one of those, where if you’re not scoring as a striker, people look for every little angle as to why you’re not scoring.

“That’s probably the case in this tournament so far but as long as I’m focused, I’ve got the self-belief I have and I’m not worried about anything else.”
Asked whether he had seen any of the Spurs managerial speculation, he said: “I just keep myself to myself.
“I watch my series, I’m on series three of Game of Thrones now, or I’m with the boys playing pool or table tennis. I just try to stay away from it all.
“When you are in tournament mode, sometimes it’s easy to get caught up with other stuff but the experience I’ve had in the last few tournaments is just to focus on this and leave no regrets.”

Frank de Boer facing sack after holding showdown talks with Dutch FA over future after Holland’s Euro 2020 flop

FRANK DE BOER’S future as Holland coach hangs in the balance following his side’s disastrous Euro 2020 campaign. The Netherlands’ exit from the competition after their 2-0 defeat to the Czech Republic in the last 16 looks to have cost the 51-year-old his job.
It could be all over for De Boer as Holland boss following his team’s Euro 2020 exitCredit: AP
The Dutch FA are wasting no time and are said to already be in talks with their ex-star defender, according to media outlet NOS.
The Dutch bigwigs are also said to be considering axing several other staff members.
They usually meet with the coach after a major tournament, but NOS say the speed of the talks is very bad news for De Boer, who has been in the job for less than a year.
Speaking after the Czech loss, he said: “We will think about it calmly. It was not good enough. We have to evaluate properly.”
The decision to take off Donyell Malen and replace him with Quincy Promes is being compared to Dick Advocaat’s decision at Euro 2004 when he subbed off Arjen Robben and brought on Paul Bosvelt in the 3-2 defeat to the Czech Republic.
That decision effectively cost him his job and De Boer is now coming under similar pressure.
De Boer tried to justify it, saying: “Donyell is very explosive and can only play for 60 minutes at the moment. We know that Donyell has to be substituted after 60 minutes because then the tank is empty. We know how that boy works.”
The former centre-back, who is the country’s second most-capped player with 112 caps, was appointed as manager in September last year.

Frank Lampard’s ‘ghost goal’ against Germany ranked as England’s second most unfair moment ever ahead of Euro 2020 game

But, much to England’s outrage, the goal wasn’t given and Germany romped to a 4-1 victory.
A YouGov and Betfair survey of over 2,000 football fans ranked the Bloemfontein moment as the second most unfair ever.
And it’s a memory that has stuck in England fans’ minds ahead of Tuesday’s Euro 2020 showdown with their rivals.
The only one deemed more unfair in fans’ eyes was the Hand of God back in 1986.
Diego Maradona’s controversial goal for Argentina sank England’s World Cup hopes in Mexico in a massive injustice.
Also on the list was David Beckham’s sending off against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.
Becks saw red for kicking out at Diego Simeone and Argentina went on to beat Hoddle’s Three Lions.

Sol Campbell’s disallowed goal against Portugal at Euro 2004 was fourth on the list.
And another Portugal incident – Wayne Rooney’s sending off at the 2006 World Cup – came in fifth.
Former England boss Glenn Hoddle told Betfair: ““When it comes to England’s most unfair moments, there are too many, the list is as long as my arm.
“The Hand of God was the most horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, because I actually saw it. Some players didn’t see it.
“Terry Fenwick, myself and obviously Peter Shilton started to chase the referee. We were saying ‘handball, handball’, and I was holding my hand.
“The referee turned away and I saw the linesman run to the halfway line. In the pit of my stomach I knew he wasn’t going to change.
“It was a horrendous feeling, the feeling in a split second of injustice.”

Hoddle added: “Lampard’s ‘Ghost Goal’ had a massive impact on the game and if it had been awarded we would have gone down the tunnel a different team.
“Germany were outplaying us and they were better than us, but goals change the mentality of a team. Frank’s was way over the line, you could see it, and it would have changed the emphasis of the game without a shadow of a doubt.
“Goal-line technology came in because of that example.”

Jose Mourinho picks England XI to face Germany with Kyle Walker our secret weapon for Euro 2020 showdown

JOSE MOURINHO believes Kyle Walker can be England’s secret weapon to help beat Germany. The Three Lions take on the old enemy at Wembley in their Euro 2020 last-16 showdown this afternoon.
This is how Jose Mourinho would line England up to face Germany
Kyle Walker played in the wins over Croatia and Czech Republic but could be used in a back threeCredit: AFP
And ahead of the game, SunSport columnist Mourinho revealed the XI he would pick if he was in Gareth Southgate’s boots – with Walker chosen as a right centre-back to negate the threat of Robin Gosens.
The Manchester City star played in the wins over Croatia and Czech Republic but sat out of the Scotland stalemate with Reece James chosen at right-back.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the Special One said: “I would go to a back three, especially as England know how to do it.
“It’s not like Gareth wakes up yesterday and decides to play a back three. It’s something they did for the last two or three years.
“But they are playing with a back four, they did it with three consecutive clean sheets, which is very important and shows how solid they are.
“There’s a lot of options. With a back three you have two options, one with Kyle Walker and one without.
“If you want to go with Kyle Walker as a wing-back, which would be very good as he’s very fast, very powerful and can do up and down all day and can perfectly kill the Gosens supremacy on that side.
“Then the centre-backs would be John Stones, Harry Maguire and Tyrone Mings.

An alternative option could see Walker at right wing-back with Tyrone Mings retaining his place

“But James can play right-back no problem, he does it with Chelsea and then it could be Walker with Stones and Maguire in the middle.
“Left wing-back, playing in this back-three system normally has to be a left-footed player. That would not be adapted to Kieran Trippier.
“It would have to be Luke Shaw because I believe that Ben Chilwell will not be in the best condition.
“I would do Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice then Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane.”
Southgate is expected to line up with a back three for the 5pm kick-off at the home of football.
Bukayo Saka may retain his place in the starting XI but at left wing-back while Phil Foden and Mason Mount may have to settle for spots on the bench.
The SunSport columnist reckons the winner of England vs Germany will get to the finalCredit: The Sun

Writing in his column for SunSport, Mourinho predicted the winner of this evening’s clash to reach the final on July 11.
Victory would see England take on Ukraine or Sweden in Saturday’s quarter-final with Denmark or Czech Republic in the semis.
Mourinho, who takes over as Roma manager this summer, said: “For me, England versus Germany is not a last-16 match, it is a semi-final.
“Whoever wins, I cannot see them failing to make the final.
“You must respect all of those teams as they are there for a reason but, for a big team like England or Germany, this is like a semi-final.
“Lose in the last 16 and you go home with a shadow over you. Win and you should go all the way — because the power is in the other half of the draw.”
