How Arsenal could line up against Hibs with new signing Nuno Tavares in line for debut after completing transfer

ARSENAL travel to Edinburgh on Tuesday to take on Hibernian and summer signing Nuno Tavares could get his first taste of action in a Gunners shirt. The left-back, 21, is unlikely to start since his move was only confirmed over the weekend but he could get some minutes at Easter Road.
Arsenal’s possible line up to take on Hibernian
Nuno Tavares was unveiled as an Arsenal player on Saturday
Instead, Cedric Soares could start at left-back with Sead Kolasinac also on the bench after returning to the Arsenal squad since the players came back to training last week.
The Bosnian’s Arsenal future had looked in doubt after he was loaned to a struggling Schalke side in the second half of last season.
Cedric could be joined in the back four by Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari and Rob Holding, with Alex Runarsson expected to start in goal ahead of youngsters Arthur Okonkwo and Karl Jakob Hein.
Mohamed Elneny will likely play in front of the defence with Emil Smith Rowe and Joe Willock occupying the other midfield spots.
The latter is another who has returned to the Emirates following a successful loan with Newcastle, and the Magpies are still chasing the 21-year-old.
Mikel Arteta could also welcome Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to the side, with the latter a notable absentee in photos of the squad’s first day back at London Colney.
Alexandre Lacazette could also start despite rumours circulating about his future, with the club reportedly desperate to offload him this summer.

Joe Willock is in line to start after a productive loan spell with Newcastle last season
Sead Kolasinac will challenge Tavares for minutes at Easter Road on Tuesday

Fans will likely be most eager to have a look at newcomer Tavares however, and gauge a sense of how the youngster likes to play.
Kieran Tierney has made the left-back spot his own since arriving two years ago so Tavares will need to hit the ground running in pre-season.
Tierney and the other stars who featured in Euro 2020 are not back with the squad yet, hence their exclusion from the team.

West Ham ‘in pole position’ to complete Tammy Abraham transfer from Chelsea with Blues wanting £40m

WEST HAM are thought to be ahead of top-flight rivals Aston Villa in the battle to sign Tammy Abraham this summer. Football Insider claims David Moyes’ side are currently favourites to land the Chelsea forward.
Tammy Abrahams is reportedly a summer transfer target for West Ham who are rivalling Aston Villa for the player
Chelsea ace Abrahams was at the 2021 Wimbledon men’s finals to watch Novak Djokovic take on Matteo Berrettini
And the online outlet suggests the Irons, who finished sixth in the Prem last term, have taken pole position in the race for the player
This is despite Moyes, whose team play Northampton in a friendly next, stating the club may not be able to afford the Blues ace.
Abraham, who was pictured at the Wimbledon men’s finals along with stars including Tom Cruise, made 32 Blues appearances across all competitions last term.

⚽ ENGLAND vs ITALY EURO 2020 FINAL BETTING SPECIAL ⚽

The England international, who is also a Borussia Dortmund and Wolves target, notched up 12 goals and six assists for Thomas Tuchel’s team last season.
Abraham, 23, who rose through Chelsea’s academy ranks to its first team, has reportedly been valued around the £40million mark by Thomas Tuchel’s Blues.
But it is thought £30 to £35million may be enough to seal a move for the striker.
And it is thought the player has been given the green light to leave for pastures new after reportedly dropping down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Aston Villa, where Abrahams enjoyed a successful loan spell from 2018 to 2019, were thought to be the frontrunners to land the Three Lions forward.
But Football Insider claims Villa boss Dean Smith is having second thoughts despite the player netting 26 goals in 40 games during his stint with the Midlands giants.
It is thought the Hammers are eager to sign a forward to compete with Michail Antonio following his impressive top-flight performances for the club last term.
The Irons striker netted 10 goals in 26 top tier games last season.
And it is claimed the Blues are open to considering offers from the Hammers and other suitors for Abrahams who has six senior England international caps.
Chelsea are believed to be on the hunt for a new forward with the club linked with a move for Inter Milan hotshot Romelu Lukaku.

And in May, it was reported the club was considering selling six players to fund a move for the Belgium striker.
It is thought Abrahams could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.
This is despite the fact the player finished at the top of the Blues’ goalscorer table alongside Germany ace with both netting 12 goals each.

Man Utd star Amad Diallo calls his dribbling skills a ‘gift’ and explains how he leaves defenders bamboozled

AMAD DIALLO has spoken about his dribbling skills and revealed he is never scared to play. The winger, 19, joined Manchester United in January and has played a bit-part role since arriving, making eight appearances so far.
Amad Diallo believes he has a dribbling gift
He earned a start against Leicester in May and took the opportunity with both hands, impressing with the ball at his feet and with an assist for Mason Greenwood’s goal.
And despite it being a momentous occasion for Diallo – his Premier League debut – he says he embraced the chance to play.
United’s media team asked Diallo why he is so adept at dribbling and he replied: “That is a tough one! But honestly, I think that it is a gift. I think you dribble using your technique and your intelligence.
“So, for example, if you are faced with two defenders then perhaps you can’t dribble, or you can only play a one-two, so you have to use your head and your skills to decide what to do initially and then your next move.
“Therefore, when I have the ball I think about what I can do, play a one-two, dribble, that is what I think.
“To tell you the truth, I am never afraid of playing. That has always been my strength, never being afraid to play.
“When they told me the day before the game that I was going to play against Leicester I was a bit nervous initially but this is football, you can never be afraid.
“So when I went onto the pitch I could just see 11 players against another 11 players and I think it went well, as you say.”

And French outlet TF1 via Get French Football claims the midfielder is due to make a choice on whether to remain in Manchester or seek a potential Paris Saint-Germain move.
Pogba, 28, was part of the Le Bleus side who suffered a surprise Euros last 16 loss on penalties to Switzerland.
The player, who helped steer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to a Europa League final last term, is currently taking a well-earned break in Miami, USA

⚽ ENGLAND vs ITALY EURO 2020 FINAL BETTING SPECIAL ⚽

His Florida holiday follows a string of impressive performances for club and country from 2020 to 2021.
The Paris-born star played in 42 games across all competitions for United last term.
And the former Juventus ace was one of the standout stars for France in the Euros, netting one goal and providing one assist.
The current Man United deal for Pogba, who helped his country win the World Cup in 2018, is due to expire in June 2022.
And it is feared the player could end up leaving the club for nothing for the second time in nine years following the expiration of his contract.
The player, who began his career in England as a Red Devils Under-18 starlet in 2009, left the club in 2012 at 19 for a sensational Juventus switch.

The Prem star proved to be a hit in Serie A winning four league titles and two Player of the Year gongs during a four-season spell.
And he would return to United in 2016 for a club-record fee of around £89million to £90m.
Reports by French publication RMC claim PSG are confident of sealing a move for Pogba this summer.

It is thought the Red Devils may be forced to cash in on their midfield star this year rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.
And reports suggest the club are hoping to receive a decent fee for the player should he leave Old Trafford
However, it is thought they may be unlikely to recoup the full figure they paid to bring the midfielder back to Manchester in 2016.

Takehiro Tomiyasu ‘wants to join Tottenham’ with talks ongoing for Japan star but Atalanta threatening to hijack deal

TOTTENHAM are reportedly leading the race to sign Bologna star Takehiro Tomiyasu.Spurs had a £15million bid for the defender rejected earlier this month but are still believed to be interested.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has been targeted by Tottenham and Arsenal
And Tomiyasu wants to join, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer guru claims Tottenham are the only English club in talks to sign Tomiyasu, suggesting Arsenal are no longer chasing the Japan international.
Romano says a final decision will be made soon but does report interest from Serie A side Atalanta.
And unlike Spurs, the Italians would be able to offer Tomiyasu Champions League football next season – he would not have to move country either.
Bologna are believed to want £17.2m for Tomiyasu, 22, so it is up to Daniel Levy to offer up the extra cash.
And if he does sign Tottenham fans would have to wait a while to see Tomiyasu in action as he will represent Japan at the Olympics this summer.
Nevertheless, supporters will likely be pleased to beat rivals Arsenal to an important signing.

⚽ ENGLAND vs ITALY EURO 2020 FINAL BETTING SPECIAL ⚽

Spurs are yet to make a signing under Nuno Espirito Santo, who could want a new centre-back if he is to operate with a back five – as he did at Wolves.
Tomiyasu also holds the advantage of being able to play at right-back, so could slot in well as a right-sided centre-back between Davinson Sanchez and Matt Doherty.
Tomiyasu possesses good physical attributes with his speed and strength two of his main assets.

Kolasinac could still depart this summer however with Lazio and Fenerbahce reportedly keen on the left-back.
And the Bosnian has been joined at the training ground by Emile Smith Rowe, Calum Chambers, Thomas Partey and several others.
But those who were called up to international tournaments this summer are on holiday, enjoying time away from football.
Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno did not play a minute at Euro 2020 but is currently on holiday with wife Sophie Christin in Rhodes, Greece.
Lucas Torreira is also spending valuable time with his family in Uruguay after being knocked out in the quarter-final of the Copa America against Colombia earlier this month.
The midfielder previously voiced his desire to return to South America earlier this year, with Boca Juniors mooted as a possible destination.

Watford are interested in Isaac Hayden in an exchange deal involving Hughes
Hughes caught the eye for Hornets in the Championship but they are willing to let him go as they bring in new players.
Bruce wants to wheel and deal for a couple of additions to his squad amid the uncertainty about the club’s long term ownership.
Newcastle are working under a tight budget which could stall a move for Hughes, and Bruce could consider offering players to Watford in a potential swap deal.
One such player could be midfielder Isaac Hayden, as Watford are interested and could take him as part of the deal.
Hayden’s place in Bruce’s side was already under threat and new arrivals would make it even harder for him to play in future.
And the Hornets are also ready to sign Stoke’s forgotten midfielder Peter Etebo – and clear the way for Will Hughes to leave.
The Premier League new boys are tying up a deal for the Nigerian who is available on loan or to buy at the Potters.
Etebo has been on loan in Turkey for two seasons and has no future at Stoke in the Championship.
He has made just 51 appearances for Stoke since arriving in 2018.
And the deal would help Watford move out midfielder Hughes.

Roma target Chelsea outcast Emerson over summer transfer to replace Leonardo Spinazzola with Marcelo talk ‘fake news’

ROMA are plotting a move for Chelsea defender Emerson, according to reports. The left-back is one of several players who could reportedly leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Marcos Alonso also linked with an exit.

Lazio are believed to be interested in Emerson but could now be challenged by rivals Roma, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
They view the Italy ace as a replacement for Leonardo Spinnazola, who could be out for up to six months with an Achilles injury.
Another Italian journalist, Angelo Mangiante, reports Chelsea are seeking £21.4million for Emerson, despite the fact he played just two league games last season.
Emerson has spent three years at Chelsea after joining from Roma.
And the Serie A side are chasing the 26-year-old, not Real Madrid ace Marcelo, claims Fabrizio Romano.
He describes Roma’s reported interest in the Brazilian as “fake news”, and Di Marzio instead suggests Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini is the player on their radar.
And Roma may have to seek out a deal for the Algerian since Emerson has also attracted attention from Inter Milan and Napoli.

Juventus have also been linked with Emerson in the past so he looks destined to return to Serie A.
His exit could allow Chelsea to bring in a full-back, though so far the club’s transfer efforts seem focused on signing a centre-back.
England star Ben White and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba have both been reported as targets for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
