Horror stats behind West Ham’s transfer dealings show ‘Eastenders’ image of Cockneys is a load of old cobblers

Only one place and £600k below the generous Hammers in their unwitting donations to the unofficial football agents’ benevolent fund, Spurs are in turmoil. Two points and two places above their struggling neighbours from E20 in the Prem, Timo Werner is approaching the end of his second loan spell, having been ghosted.Cut from boss Ange Postecoglou’s Europa League squad, one goal in 27 appearances, not played since the end of February. Savaged by the boss publicly.Chairman Daniel Levy can blame nobody but himself for not learning his lesson the first time around with German Werner, or from watching him flop at Chelsea previously. And the grim news for both of these clubs is that they will be there for the taking again this summer, because it’s going to take a whole lot more spending to dig them out of their respective holes. You can almost hear the sound of hands being rubbed together.Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest occupy fourth place, chasing a Champions League spot, having spent a relatively minor £13.5m on agents.Everton are above West Ham and Tottenham and on the up after laying out just £9.2m to the deal brokers.Newcastle and Aston Villa paid more in finders’ fees but are at least getting some bang for their buck.Read More on The SunFor anyone up North reading this, London’s streets really are paved with gold. You just need to become a football agent to find out.Tottenham also find themselves in troubleCredit: PA More

He has already appeared as an unused substitute in four matches so far this season.
But most football fans will be unaware of the attacking midfielder – who compared himself to Mason Mount and Jack Grealish back in 2020.
Speaking to BBC Sport at the age of just 14, he said: “Moving from defence to midfield was a very gradual process for me. It took about two seasons.
“I was a tough-tackling centre-back at the start of my U13 season and now, towards the end of U15 season, I am a centre midfielder and sometimes play as a number 10.”

A young Castledine went on to name Mount as one of his favourite players, before he claimed to “dribble and create chances” like Grealish.
And a report from The Athletic last year also revealed Chelsea legend John Terry commented on “what a great trainer Castledine is” and “how he treats each session like a cup final”.
He has played 35 times for the Blues’ U21 side since joining from Wimbledon in 2020, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.
He has also played for every England age group side up to the U19s – where he has featured three times since his debut in November.

“And I said, ‘well is there anyone else?’ So he said, ‘leave it with me and I’ll get back to you’, and long story short, about four weeks ago, he said, ‘can you get down to 173lbs?’
    “That’s 12st 5lbs, and I haven’t been that light since I was 17-years-old, I’m 54 now.
