Both sides go into the game off the back of hugely disappointing defeats on Thursday night.
Spurs were undone when a late Destiny Udogie mistake allowed James Ward-Prowse to capitalise to complete the comeback, with Spurs leading 1-0 at the break.
It was all Spurs in the second period but they just lacked the quality needed to get that second goal.
While Newcastle were thumped 3-0 at Everton and deserved to be after a lacklustre display.
Kieran Trippier with two howlers allowed Everton into a 2-0 lead late on before Beto got in on the act to add insult to injury for the Toon.
Both sides had a chance to close the gap on Manchester City in fourth with a win, but now head into the weekend with Spurs fifth and Newcastle seventh.
There have been a remarkable 25 goals in the last five meetings between the sides, with both teams scoring in the last seven league meetings when they’ve faced.
Alexander Isak should profit on any high line Spurs operate with and he’s fancied to be a huge threat in our tip.
Dream Team Tip: Alexander Isak 2+ shots on target at 29/10 – CLAIM NOW

Transfer recommendations ahead of Gameweek 15: Midfielder owned by 0.7% of gaffers now a tempting differential

FIXTURES continue to flow thick and fast in Gameweek 15.After a full round of Premier League games this weekend, eight teams will be in action again in midweek as the European group stages draw to a close.
Needless to say, there will be plenty of points on offer for Dream Team gaffers if they get their transfers right.
Allow us to provide some recommendations…

    Who doesn’t love a Bailey’s at Christmas?Credit: Dream Team
    Leon Bailey (£3m)
    The man of the hour!
A few eyebrows were raised when Unai Emery promoted the Jamaican winger to start over Moussa Diaby (£3.6m) this past week but the decision could not have been more justified.
Bailey scored against Bournemouth on Sunday but that proved to be just a warm-up for his match-winning heroics at home to Manchester City on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old banked 19 points across the two fixtures and will surely keep his place as first-choice right winger for the foreseeable future.
    Most read in Football
Here’s the really interesting bit; Bailey averages 1.32 goal involvements per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season.
That puts him above Erling Haaland (£8.1m), Mohamed Salah (£6.8m) and every other player to have played at least 500 minutes in the top flight this season.
The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder appears in just 0.7% of teams right now but with Villa flying high in third, his ownership will surely rise sharply.
The Villains host league-leaders Arsenal on Saturday but having outplayed the treble winners in midweek, there’s no need for gaffers to worry about Bailey and company’s fixtures – they’ve got a Europa Conference League game against Zrinjski Mostar to fulfil on Thursday night too.
At the very least, he’s a tempting differential.
    Martin Dubravka (£1.6m)
    Another cheap goalkeeper, anyone?Credit: Reuters
Last week, we suggested Caoimhin Kelleher (£1.9m) as a cheap route into Liverpool’s starting line-up as a result of Alisson’s (£3.7m) injury.
This tactic looked silly when Fulham scored three goals at Anfield on Sunday but thankfully the Irish deputy compensated with a clean sheet at Sheffield United in midweek.
Dream Team managers have the opportunity to repeat the same trick ahead of Gameweek 15 with even greater legs.
Nick Pope (£4.2m) became the first goalkeeper to reach 100 points this season when he kept Manchester United at bay last Saturday but celebrations were cut short when the England international dislocated his shoulder late on.
Newcastle’s first-choice custodian is expected to be sidelined for at least four months, opening the door for Dubravka to take the gloves.
There’s a chance the club may spend money on another keeper in January but the veteran Slovak will be given the opportunity to prove himself this month.
The 34-year-old may find points hard to come in Gameweek 15 as Eddie Howe’s men are set to face Tottenham and AC Milan but the schedule turns friendly from Gameweek 16 until the end of the year: Fulham, Chelsea, Luton, Nottingham Forest.
Dream Team bosses should think of Dubravka is a facilitator, recruiting him for just £1.6m this week may mean it’s possible to afford both Kieran Trippier (£5.2m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.6m) in defence, for example.
    Speaking of…
    Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.6m)
    Different gravyCredit: Reuters
We’ve talked up Liverpool’s homegrown hero enough recently but his name is worth underlining after an emphatic Gameweek 14.
Playing a hybrid role that’s more midfielder than defender, Alexander-Arnold registered two assists, one goal and a clean sheet across his two fixtures, Fulham and Sheffield United.
When all was said and done, The Reds’ No66 had plundered 24 points – the biggest haul of the Gameweek among all players at the time of writing.
Some Dream Team bosses will feel that transferring him in now is a case of bolted horses and sailed ships.
Chasing lost points is foolish but, equally, hopping aboard an in-form asset as talented as Alexander-Arnold could yield healthy returns for months on end.
Liverpool face Crystal Palace and Union Saint-Gilloise in Gameweek 15.

It should go without saying that Manchester City stars are expected to shine bright in Gameweek 15 with Luton and Red Star Belgrade in the headlights.
    Read more on The Sun
Although gaffers should be aware that their midweek game is essentially a dead rubber because Pep Guardiola’s side are already guaranteed to finish top of their Champions League group – heavy rotation is expected.
Lock in your transfers before Saturday’s 11:30am deadline.

For clarity, you don’t have to predict the exact outcomes of all five games to land the top prize – that would be asking too much – you simply have to outscore your rivals, meaning somebody must win.
Some of our previous winners this season landed amazing prizes having submitted their predictions in ten seconds through sheer gut instinct – it takes no time at all to play and it’s completely free.
Check out our predictions for Matchweek 17 below…
    Manchester United v Bournemouth
The Red Devils continue to confound supporters and pundits alike.
Having been totally outplayed by Newcastle last weekend, they then thoroughly outplayed Chelsea in midweek, though to what extent that was down to their efforts or the Blues’ failings is up for debate.
Erik ten Hag’s side are just three points behind Manchester City in the table but they’ve also lost the same number of games as Brentford and have a goal difference of zero.
    Most read in Dream Team
Generally, Man United have got the job done against bottom-half opposition this season, just not always in convincing fashion.
Add in home advantage and it seems like a good opportunity for Bruno Fernandes and company to take a step closer to the top four.
However, this is not a great time to play the Cherries.
Andoni Iraola’s men were all at sea until they flipped a switch three weeks ago.
Since then, they’ve beaten Newcastle, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace – they also drew with high-flying Aston Villa.
    All three results feel plausible…
Our Prediction: 2-1 to Man United
Aston Villa will be full of confidenceCredit: AFP
    Aston Villa v Arsenal
Without wanting to jinx it, this should be a cracking game.
The Villains produced one of the most impressive performances in recent memory to beat Manchester City on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side were restricted to just two shots while the hosts registered 22 – it was one-way traffic!
No doubt Unai Emery’s troops will have expended a lot of energy to claim the three points but the Gunners were involved in a breathless affair of their own at Luton on Tuesday night.
Villa boast the best home record in the top flight this season having won all seven fixtures, scoring 24 goals in the process.
However, Mikel Arteta’s side have the best away record in the league at present – they’re the only team to have won five games on the road this term.
If Villa produce the same performance again then it’s hard to envisage any side withstanding them but Arsenal are the league leaders for a reason.
    Another tough call…
    Our Prediction: 1-1 draw
    Consistently inconsistentCredit: GETTY
    Everton v Chelsea
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been the scourge of Score Predictor users this season.
They recently beat Brighton and Tottenham either side of a compelling 4-4 draw with Man City but they also lost to Brentford and produced genuinely dismal performances away to Newcastle and Man United.
The stats say that both these sides are better on the road with the Toffees having won just once in the league at Goodison Park this campaign.
Instinctively, this one feels like a Sunday lunchtime snoozefest.
    Our Prediction: 0-0 draw

    Luton v Manchester City
The Hatters produced a noble effort against Arsenal but ultimately tasted defeat in midweek and this weekend they’re likely to face a wounded animal.
Erling Haaland and company will have a point to prove after a run of four league games without a win.
Rodri and Jack Grealish will return from suspension and it should be a case of normal order restored for the treble winners against a newly-promoted outfit currently 17th in the league – even that position is flattering because Everton have been docked ten points.
City have desperately struggled for clean sheets of late so we’ll back the hosts to give the Kenilworth Road faithful something to cheer at least.
Our Prediction: 3-1 to Man City
Every Spurs game is worth a watchCredit: Getty
    Tottenham v Newcastle
    Yet another humdinger on paper.
Ange Postecoglou’s men are determined to play their way no matter how many players are absent through injury or suspension.
Their gung-ho approach helped them snatch a draw at the Etihad and while the fans remain positive about their side’s long-term prospects, it’s simply a fact that Spurs have taken one point from their last four league games – though they may improve their recent record at home to West Ham tonight.
Newcastle have also been ravaged by injuries but, barring a surprise defeat at Bournemouth, their domestic results haven’t suffered.
In fact, they’ve recently notched impressive wins over Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United.
However, the Magpies have underwhelmed away from St James’ Park this season – they’ve taken just five points from six fixtures on the road.
Eddie Howe’s side travel to Everton this evening but at this stage we can only judge previous results.
    Our Prediction: 2-2 draw

Aston Villa were excellent in midweek when beating Manchester City 1-0 at home, when in truth it could have been so much more comfortable.
They could move just a point behind league leaders Arsenal with a win on Saturday night, highlighting what a stellar start to the season they’re having.
While Arsenal left it very late to beat Luton in midweek with Declan Rice scoring with the final touch of the game.
It’s the mark of champions to keep doing it but it could eventually catch up with them and this is the toughest test they’ve faced for a while.

7 mind-blowing Dream Team stats from this season – from Jeremy Doku’s insane dribbles to Fulham’s tackle machine

HERE at Dream Team HQ we understand that not everyone has the time to dig through the Stats Centre for hours on end.Fortunately, we’ve done the hard yards and unearthed seven mind-blowing stats from the current season.

CLICK HERE TO PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR – SOMEBODY MUST WIN A £500 AMAZON GIFT CARD!

Time to crunch the numbersCredit: Dream Team
    1 Jeremy Doku’s insane dribbling
Manchester City’s Belgian winger has taken the Premier League by storm since his summer transfer.
The 21-year-old has proven to be a terror for full-backs everywhere because of his electric-quick feet, which have given him some frankly absurd dribbling statistics.
Most successful dribbles this season (all comps):

    JEREMY DOKU – 67
    Eberechi Eze – 38
    Mohammed Kudus – 36
    Kaoru Mitoma – 36
    Raheem Sterling – 36
    Matheus Cunha – 35
    Marcus Rashford – 35
    Jordan Ayew – 34
    Gabriel Martinelli – 34
    Luca Koleosho – 33

To say Doku is in a league of his own is an understatement and the truly remarkable thing is that he’s played just half of City’s minutes so far in 2023/24!
    No ordinary right-backCredit: Getty
2 Defender by day, playmaker by night
The secret to Kieran Trippier’s success is that he’s essentially two players for the price of one.
First and foremost, he’s Newcastle’s ultra reliable right-back who has contributed to seven clean sheets.
    Most read in Football
What sets him apart from his peers is his unmatched creative output.
Whether it’s from set-pieces or open play, Trippier supplies a steady stream of chances for the Magpies’ attackers.
In fact, he’s created 11 big chances this season when only one other defender, Pedro Porro (6), has registered more than five.
And only three players from all positions have provided more than Trippier’s eight assists at this stage.
    Unexpectedly prolificCredit: PA
3 The big three: Haaland, Salah… Pedro?
Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah are the only players to have scored more goals than Joao Pedro this season.
That would remarkable enough as it is without the fact the Brighton youngster has played just 62.3% of the available minutes to date.
The ex-Watford Brazilian has bagged ten goals in all competitions with half of them coming in the Europa League.
Granted, he’s benefited from a penalty or two but his conversion rate of ten goals from 14 shots on target is amazing regardless.
Maybe Erik ten Hag was right?Credit: Rex
    4 Onana, what’s his name?
Very few right-minded football fans would say that Andre Onana has been among the best goalkeepers this season.
The Cameroon international has rightly been criticised for his performances in several high-profile game since he joined Manchester United.
Onana himself has taken responsibility for a few clanging errors, most notably in the Champions League – the Red Devils are bottom of their group having conceded 14 goals in five games.
And yet, at the time writing, he’s on the brink of becoming Dream Team’s best keeper.
Seemingly against all logic, Onana has racked up 91 points, putting him second in his position behind Nick Pope who now faces at least four months on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
And he’s comfortably second too, a full 23 points ahead of Alisson and David Raya – that’s a huge margin in his position.
The main reason for this is that he’s somehow kept seven clean sheets despite Man United’s problems.
Onana has also been forced to make 76 saves, the most among all keepers at this juncture.
    RelentlessCredit: Getty
    5 Bombardment
It’s hardly surprising that Erling Haaland has registered the most shots on target so far this campaign.
As the focal point of Manchester City’s rampant attack, the prolific poacher is presented with a wealth of chances almost every time he takes to the field.
Even so, the extent of his lead is staggering.
Haaland has registered 45 shots on target, 19 more than current runner-up Salah.
He’s almost doubled the tally of Julian Alvarez (26) which is incredible given the World Cup winner is fourth among all players in this metric.
Remember, each player receives one point for every shot on target this season – it’s no wonder Haaland is once again the game’s top performer.

Nobody is safe in the centre circle at Craven CottageCredit: Getty
    6 Portuguese tackling machine
Dream Team assets also earn points for every two tackles they make per fixture this season.
This was mostly designed to recognise the important work of combative midfielders who don’t directly benefit from clean sheets and rarely contribute with goals and assists.
Lucas Paqueta, James Garner and Bruno Fernandes have put themselves about but one man reigns supreme, Joao Palhinha.
Fulham’s No26 is a one-man wrecking ball in the middle of the park having notched 63 tackles.
The Portugal international tops the pile despite being limited to domestic commitments.
As a comparison, his compatriot Fernandes (46 tackles) has already played 609 more minutes this season, the equivalent to six and half games.
Palhinha averages a shade under five tackles per appearance and has earned 28 points via this method.
In fact, 36.8% of his total points have come from tackles.
In Gameweek 10, he registered TEN tackles against Brighton for a five-point return, the equivalent of a scoring goal!
Just West Ham’s fifth-best midfielder right nowCredit: Getty
    7 West Ham’s midfield maestros
Experienced Dream Team managers will know that Man City midfielders have dominated the position in Dream Team ever since Guardiola took up residence on these shores.
This season, however, the treble winners have met serious opposition from an unlikely source.
West Ham are currently the only team with three representatives inside the top eight midfielders and the only side with five among the top 20.
Jarrod Bowen, James Ward-Prowse, Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek and Mohammed Kudus have combined for 526 points already!
    Read more on The Sun
By way of a comparison, City’s top five midfielders – Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku, Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish – have combined for 460 points.
Anybody who says they predicted such a convincing win for David Moyes’ troops over the reigning European champions in this department is a liar.

Dream Team gaffers should target these favourable festive fixtures for bountiful returns in coming weeks

THE true meaning of Christmas is live football almost every single day.Dream Team managers will have to keep their wits about them in the coming weeks if they’re to make the most of non-stop action.
Generally, players tend to produce more points from favourable fixtures so let’s take a look at which clubs have the best set of match-ups from Gameweek 15 until the end of the year.

    Manchester City

    Luton (a)
    Red Star Belgrade (a)
    Crystal Palace (h)
    Everton (a)
    Sheffield United (h)

Pep Guardiola’s side play one fewer fixture than most their main rivals this month because of their Club World Cup commitments – please note that City players won’t score Dream Team points in the Club World Cup.
That jaunt is offset by a very favourable run of eligible games with 13th-placed Palace being their toughest league opponent on paper.
It’s said that Belgrade is a difficult place to go but the reality is that Red Star have failed to win any of their five Champions League games this season, drawing one and losing four.
Every club bar City and Brentford will play twice in Gameweek 17 so gaffers will have to negotiate that hiccup but Erling Haaland (£8.1m) and friends should plunder plenty of points when active.
    Most read in Football
The treble winners have struggled to keep clean sheets this term so it will be interesting to see how many points the likes of Ederson (£3.4m) and Kyle Walker (£3.4m) produce this month given the friendly match-ups.

The Villains host Man City this week before welcoming the Gunners to their patch on Saturday – an undeniably massive double header.
Once that’s out of the way though, Unai Emery will feel confident of a prosperous run up until the end of the year.
The Bees are a decent outfit but they are ten points behind Villa at this stage having scored 11 fewer goals.
Villa then play the bottom two teams either side of a trip to the Red Devils, a club seemingly on the brink of an implosion if reports are to be believed.
Matty Cash’s (£3.2m) returns have fallen off a cliff but Ollie Watkins (£4.7m) continues to go from strength to strength.
Only Haaland and Mohamed Salah (£6.8m) have more points than the England striker among forwards right now.
Douglas Luiz (£3.5m) has also been productive of late having amassed 54 points across the last five and a half Gameweeks.

    Fulham (h)

Gameweek 15 is tricky prospect on paper but it should noted that Spurs have taken just one point from a possible 12 in their last four league games amid an injury crisis.
The Magpies have a plague of injuries themselves but impressive showings against Chelsea, PSG and Man United have proven they remain a formidable side.
Having dismantled the Blues 4-1 recently, Eddie Howe will surely be hopeful of a positive result in the Carabao Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge – though it’s hard to predict the strength of the starting line-ups.
Fulham, Luton and Forest to finish the calendar year’s league fixtures, with two of those games taking place at St James’ Park, looks ripe for plentiful points.
Kieran Trippier (£5.2m), Anthony Gordon (£3.8m) and Alexander Isak (£4.4m) could feast if they remain available.

    Crystal Palace (h)
    Luton (a)

Mauricio Pochettino won’t be keen on another meeting with Newcastle so soon after his side’s capitulation at St James’ Park but it appears to be relatively smooth sailing elsewhere.
Dream Team bosses may be hesitant to back Chelsea too heartily as they have been up and down in 2023/24 to say the least.
However, recent wins over Tottenham and Brighton plus a barnstorming 4-4 draw with City indicate there are points to be had if everything clicks.
Raheem Sterling (£3.9m) averages 6.1 points-per-game this season and it may be somebody like Levi Colwill (£2.5m) emerges as a shrewd bargain, at least in the short term.
Chelsea’s next five league opponents are all in the bottom half – by sheer definition that’s a favourable run that should yield healthy returns.

Can’t afford Kieran Trippier? Tino Livramento offers Dream Team bosses cheap alternative

KIERAN TRIPPIER (£5.2m) has been Dream Team’s best defender for a while now.The England international finished the 2022/23 season as the top points scorer in his position and he’s on track to do the same again this campaign.
With 127 points to his name this term, the reliable right-back is 28 clear of his closest rival, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.6m).

Trippier has contributed to seven clean sheets, provided eight assists, and earned 27 bonus points.
However you spin it, he’s a top-tier asset.
The only issue is that his quality comes at a high price, meaning some gaffers simply can’t afford to recruit him without accepting severe downgrades elsewhere.
    Enter Tino Livramento (£2.8m).
The 21-year-old doesn’t possess the same pedigree as Trippier but he does offer an affordable route into Newcastle’s defence.
In Dan Burn’s (£3.6m) absence, Livramento has taken up the mantle of the Magpies’ first-choice left-back with impressive results.

    A potential bargain?Credit: Dream Team
The ex-Southampton full-back bagged 12 points against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup in Gameweek 10 and came away from the 2-0 defeat in Borussia Dortmund with another five points soon after.
More recently, he pouched nine points in Gameweek 13 against Chelsea and PSG – he was cruelly robbed of a clean sheet against the latter by a controversy penalty late on.
On Saturday, Livramento banked ten points against Erik ten Hag’s men via a clean sheet and three bonus points.
In fact, he’s earned six bonus points across his last three outings – an undeniably Trippier-esque trait.
In terms of recent form, only Alexander-Arnold, Trippier and Takehiro Tomiyasu (£2.6m) have averaged more points across their last three appearances than Livramento (among defenders).

Looking forward, it seems reasonable to expect more returns this month.
Burn isn’t scheduled to return until the new year and while Lewis Hall (£2.5m) may get some minutes, the left-back spot in Livramento’s to lose at present – Eddie Howe likes a settled defence.
Newcastle travel to Everton on Thursday before a relatively testing double header in Gameweek 15 in the form of Tottenham and AC Milan.
Once that’s out of the way, the following match-ups appear favourable: Fulham, Chelsea, Luton, Nottingham Forest.

Let’s be clear, Trippier is the optimum selection for such a run but if such a strategy isn’t possible then gaffers could do a lot worse than taking a punt on Livramento.
Keep an eye on the youngster’s returns.
