The undercard action will get underway from 8pm (ET)/5pm (PT) and at around 1am UK time on Sunday, May 30.
The fight will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There will be close to 5,000 fans in attendance at the event.

What channel is it and can it be live streamed?

Haney vs Linares will be shown live on DAZN across the world.
You can subscribe to DAZN for $19.99 a month or purchase a full year of live streaming for $99.99 by clicking HERE.

You can live stream all of the action from the DAZN app, which is available for download onto your mobile device, tablet and Smart TV.

    What have they said?
“I’m very excited to be making my third world title defense against a great fighter like Jorge Linares, who will be the best fighter I will have ever faced in my career,” Haney said.
“He’s a three-division world champion who has fought at the championship level for the past thirteen years.
“I grew up watching Linares, and the fact that this fight is happening in Las Vegas is incredible.”
Linares said: “This is my moment to show the world that I still have a lot more to give at 135 pounds.
“Devin Haney is a talented and quick-handed young man, but when I was his age, I had already become a world champion by snatching the title away from a real world champion like Oscar Larios.”

Ryan Garcia returns to gym and break to help with mental health as future star reveals ‘depression hit me like a truck’

RYAN GARCIA has returned to the gym having taken a break following a battle with mental health as he admitted: ‘Depression hit me like a truck’. The lightweight sensation has been open about his brave fight with personal demons and showed support for others in the same situation.
Ryan Garcia returned to the gym having taken a break following a battle with mental health
Ryan Garcia was forced to pull out of facing Javier Fortuna
His struggles were so bad recently, he was forced to pull out of facing Javier Fortuna, which was initially scheduled for July 9.
But almost three weeks after withdrawing from the fight, Garcia posted a video training again and provided a positive yet honest message.
He captioned on Instagram: “Thank you to everyone showing there (sic) support!
“With the help of my support team and my family, I’m making steps forward.
“Why anxiety and depression hit me like a truck and why I’m still recovering I’ll never know.
“But I’m trying to cope with the issues I’m having! This bag is my anxiety and I’m swinging with my full intent to destroy it!!”
Garcia, 22, was last in the ring in January as he stopped Luke Campbell, 33, in round seven with a perfect left hook to the body.
The two have since recorded a podcast together and Campbell was on hand to offer his former opponent support in dealing with his anxiety.

He told talkSPORT: “As a man, you’re supposed to be the dominant strong alpha and it’s hard for guys to talk about your feelings.
“The likes of Ryan opening up and saying he’s got to work on himself and things like that, it takes a hell of a lot of balls to come out and say that.
“I’ve made comments in the media that he’s seen. I’ve shared his post of what’s he’s put up.
“I hope he’s alright and comes back feeling better in himself. I’ve done that and he’s seen it. He knows he’s got support there.
“People could have everything, but still have mental health problems.
“They could have enough money in the bank to have no problems, good family and all that, but people still go through phases of mental health problems.”

Why does Canelo Alvarez always fight on Cinco De Mayo weekend?

CINCO DE MAYO weekend is the most lucrative and well-known holiday in the boxing calendar. Some of the sport’s biggest stars, including Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have fought on the jubilant weekend.

And now Canelo Alvarez’s fight events grace the Mexican holiday with its presence most years.
Why does Canelo always fight on Cinco De Mayo?
You wouldn’t be a fool for believing that Cinco De Mayo was a massive celebration weekend in which Mexicans go out, drink tequila, party and watch boxing.
    But you’d definitely be wrong.
Cinco De Mayo weekend is actually more popular in the United States.
In fact, Mexican Independence weekend, which is in September, is the more widely-celebrated holiday in Mexico.

Boxing has made Cinco De Mayo, however, a huge weekend of festivities in the U.S., as its known for usually holding the best, grandest fight of the year.
Mayweather’s fights with Pacquiao and De La Hoya took place on Cinco De Mayo weekend, as did Pacquiao’s clash with Ricky Hatton.
Mayweather also fought Alvarez back in 2013 on Cinco De Mayo.

And it was actually De La Hoya who really made the weekend popular, when he beat Yuri Boy Campos back in 2003.
Since then, the mantle has been passed from fighter to fighter, and now to Alvarez, who has fought on Cinco De Mayo every year over the past decade apart from 2018 and 2020, is the main torch-bearer.
This weekend, Alvarez will fight Saunders on the famous holiday at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas in front of 70,000 fans for the WBA, WBO, WBC and Ring Magazine super-middleweight world titles. More

Canelo Alvarez’s £300m DAZN fight contract broken down with P4P star exiting deal after just three of 11 bouts

SAUL ‘CANELO’ ALVAREZ’S £300million DAZN contract – the biggest in sporting history – was cut short last year after just three of the 11 bouts had been completed. The Mexican parted ways with the broadcaster and his promotional outfit Golden Boy – fronted by Oscar de la Hoya – after a dispute over the terms of the deal.
Canelo is one of the highest paid athletes in the worldCredit: EPA
It lasted less than two years having been struck before his fight against Rocky Fielding at the end of 2018.
The only other fights he undertook while the contract was ongoing were against Danny Jacobs and Sergey Kovalev.
And he has now opened up about the reasons why he decided it was time to leave the lucrative contract and become a free agent.
Speaking to In Depth with Graham Besinger, he said: “Look, I don’t like to talk much about people, but I’ve been a very loyal person, always. And I was very loyal, always with Golden Boy. [De La Hoya] is not Golden Boy. He doesn’t do anything in Golden Boy. He’s worried about drinking, and being involved in other thing.
“The decisions are made by other people. When Richard Schaefer left Golden Boy, he took all the boxers to PBC. He took all of them. And he also wanted to take me – and I was the only boxer that stayed with Golden Boy, because I’m a loyal man.
“But then, later I understood why everyone had gone and why Richard Schaefer left. Because those who are in Golden Boy, they are only looking after their own benefit, not the boxer’s benefit.
“There’s no loyalty there [in Golden Boy]. None. They don’t even know what that is. We were involved in a lawsuit in Miami [with All Star Boxing], which I think we would win because they were lying about everything.
“So we won the lawsuit, but the jury determined that I indeed wasn’t under contract, but I had to give [All Star Boxing] eight million dollars. But before that, when I signed before the fight with Cotto with Golden Boy, I came to an agreement with [Golden Boy on the All Star lawsuit].

How Canelo and Saunders compare ahead of their bout

“And that’s when I became aware that they were only concerned about themselves, not about me.”
Canelo was earning around £28m per fight but wanted to earn more if he took on one of the bigger names such as Gennady Golovkin.
However, he insists DAZN wanted to pay him the same fee irrespective of who the opponent was, something he refused to get on board with.
“Yes. It was something completely different. I my contract, I said, the fights are for such amount, but if I fight against Golovkin, or Mayweather, or a name like that, that’ll have to be negotiated,” he added.
“Because I’m not going to fight for the same amount. We negotiate it. But no. Golden Boy had already promised [those fights] and had already signed with DAZN that I was going to for sure fight with Golovkin for the same amount. And they never told me that.”
Alvarez left Golden Boy and DAZN in 2020 but immediately returned to the streaming platform on a two-fight deal with British promoter Eddie Hearn.
The first fight of that deal was a third round stoppage of Avni Yildirim in February, with the second a unification clash against Billy Joe Saunders this weekend.
Canelo and Saunders came face to face earlier this week after a heated argument over the size of the ring nearly led to Britain’s WBO super-middleweight champion flying home.
The pair will clash at the AT&T Stadium in Texas in front of 70,000 fans on Saturday night. More
