Joana made a public show of support for her husband days after reports in Spain claimed she had demanded a divorce and that Alves had refused to see her in jail.
She has already rubbished some of the claims made by Telecinco TV reporter Leticia Requejo in her Instagram posts.
However, she stayed silent on the divorce issue and again declined to respond on Sunday as she left Brians 2 Prison where Alves is being held on remand.
The Tenerife-born model was asked whether she had “parked” the idea of a split right now so she could help her husband defend himself.

As she walked to a waiting car, she said reports Alves had refused a face-to-face meeting with her last week were a “lie.”
And she added: “I’m very well thanks” when asked how she was after seeing Alves.
Joana visited the jail along with chef pal Bruno Brasil, who was reportedly with Alves on the night he allegedly assaulted a woman at iconic Barcelona nightclub Sutton.
Alves, 39, admitted to cops he had sex with the woman but says it was consensual and denies rape.

Last week we reported how Sanz erased virtually all the photos of her with her husband on her Instagram.
After claims she wanted a divorce, Joana insisted on Instagram: “I want to make it clear that the recent information about things I have said are totally false.
“I haven’t contacted any media or any specific journalist. When I have something to say I, Joana Sanz, will say it, via an official statement on my social media.
“Everything else is speculation. I appreciate your concern but at this moment in time there is a process underway which deserves not to be intoxicated.”
Former FC Barcelona star Alves has been locked up since he was quizzed by a magistrate on January 20.
Last week his new lawyer Cristobal Martell made a fresh appeal for him to be released on bail while the criminal investigation continues.
The Brazilian World Cup ace agreed to wear a GPS ankle tag and surrender his passport if he is released, legal papers show.
Alves is expected to hear by the end of this month whether his bail application has been successful.
If it goes to trial, Alves could wait more than a year for the case to be heard.
Alves flew into Barcelona after agreeing to be questioned over the allegations last month.
Previously it emerged the woman claimed Alves slapped her and raped her in the nightclub bathroom in the early hours of December 31.
She is also said to have described seeing the footballer’s intimate tattoo while he was partly undressed.
The tearful woman is said to have immediately told her friends what happened, and bouncers then alerted police.
Mexican club the Pumas terminated his contract after he was held in custody – and now they are reportedly seeking £4million in damages from him for breach of contract.
Alves’ model wife Joanna Sanz, 29, spoke of her heartbreak after his arrest, which came days after her mother died.
She said: “I have lost the only two pillars in my life.”
Alves is the most decorated player in football history with 43 career trophies including three Champions League titles, two Copa Americas and an Olympic gold medal.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher trolls Man City with sarcastic comment as they’re charged with financial rule breaches

JAMIE CARRAGHER trolled Manchester City with a sarcastic put down over their alleged financial rule breaches.Following a four-year investigation, the English champions have been charged by the Premier League on numerous counts.

This can’t be right, Man City bring in more commercial revenue than Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Man Utd & Liverpool 🤷‍♂️ https://t.co/OPDaMHnws1— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) February 6, 2023

City are alleged to have breached league rules requiring provision “in utmost good faith” of “accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position”.
And Liverpool legend Carragher poked fun, referencing recent figure that showed City to have the highest commercial revenue in European football.
He sarcastically tweeted: “This can’t be right, Man City bring in more commercial revenue than Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Man Utd & Liverpool.”
At this stage, City have been charged but not found guilty.

But they now face point deductions, transfer bans, spending limits, relegation and even the stripping of previous titles.
The charges relate to breaching regulations over nine seasons between 2009 and 2018, with the investigation starting way back in December 2018.
That was prompted following the publishing of leaked documents by German website Der Spiegel – with the investigation focusing on three specific areas.
The first alleged issue is “under-age players were pressured to sign contracts with City through monetary payments”.

Secondly, that Abu Dhabi sponsors “provided only a portion of their payments to the club”, with owner Sheikh Mansour stumping up the rest, in turn overstating the sponsorship income.
Lastly, ex-boss Roberto Mancini received a “significant portion” of compensation from a “fictitious consultancy contract” when he left the club in 2013.
It is also claimed by the Premier League in their unprecedented findings that City did not comply with Uefa regulations surrounding club licensing and financial fair play in 2013-14 and between 2014-15 and 2017-18.
Another breach relates to Prem profit and sustainability rules in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18.
The Premier League also accused City of failing to cooperate and assist with the investigation.
Uefa slapped City with a two-year ban and fined the club £25million in February 2020 for alleged financial fair play breaches.
That was prompted following the publishing of leaked documents by German website Der Spiegel.

However, just five months later, that was overturned and the final fine was cut to £9m by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Now the findings of the investigation and multiple alleged breaches have been referred to a commission.
Commissions are independent of the Premier League and its member clubs, with the commission’s members appointed by the independent Chair of the Premier League Judicial Panel.
The Premier League added: “The proceedings before the Commission will, in accordance with Premier League Rule W.82, be confidential and heard in private.

At the time of his arrest, Alves was under contract with Mexican football club UNAM Pumas – who he signed with in July, 2022.
Now, the 36-year-old is said to owe £4million to the club for breaching his contract.
Brazilian publication UOL Sport has revealed the contents of an email allegedly demanding “financial compensation” from Alves.
An extract from the email reads: “Due to the player’s very serious breaches, he is obliged to reimburse the club with the payment of the indemnity provided in the amount of $5m (£4.1m).”

Alves was locked up last month by a judge investigating claims of an assault at Barcelona’s swanky Sutton venue in the early hours of December 31.
He initially denied any contact with his accuser, but is said to have changed his story and claimed they had consensual sex.
    He denies wrongdoing.
The star’s new lawyer reportedly told a Spanish TV journalist his initial version of events was to “protect his wife” and cover up his “infidelity”.

Top attorney Cristobal Martell – who also represented Lionel Messi in his tax fraud case – filed an appeal against the decision to remand him in custody.
Alves promised not to leave Spain and to stay 500 metres away from his accuser’s home and work, legal papers show.
He also offered to report to police daily and wear a tracking device 24 hours a day if he is let out of jail.
Previously the judge had deemed ex-Barcelona FC star Alves a flight risk.
And today new details of the ruling were revealed by the newspaper El Periodico.
Magistrate Anna Marín decided there was case to answer after questioning the accuser and suspect at Barcelona’s court number 15 on January 20, it reported.
According to the paper, she said “there are much more than enough indications” to consider that there was a rape “and that the suspect was the perpetrator of it”.
The magistrate also stressed the investigation is ongoing and nothing is proved, the paper reported.
Mr Martell, Alves’ lawyer, slammed the magistrate in his 24-page submission.
He claimed the investigation by the Mossos d’Esquadra police was “biased” and criticised Judge Marín for accepting it in an “uncritical and careless way”.
The lawyer also claims CCTV from the club’s VIP room contradicts the alleged victim’s account.
He said it shows the woman and her friends were in “festive” mood and not “intimidated” and she claimed.
The footage allegedly shows Alves leading the woman to the toilets where they spent 16 minutes out of view – not 47 seconds as previously reported on Spanish TV.
It it goes to trial, Alves could wait more than a year for the case to be heard.
Previously it emerged the woman claimed Alves slapped her and raped her in the bathroom.
She is also said to have described seeing the footballer’s intimate tattoo while he was partly undressed.
The tearful woman is said to have immediately told her friends what happened, and bouncers then alerted police.
Alves flew into Barcelona after agreeing to be questioned over the allegations last month.

Alves’ model wife Joanna Sanz, 29, spoke of her heartbreak after his arrest, which came days after her mother died.

Since then she has deleted some images of her husband from her social media profiles.

In December he became Brazil’s oldest ever player at a World Cup aged 39.

The pub in question is the Mudlark on Montague Close, according to eyewitnesses.
In the shocking video, a group of yobs can be seen walking down the street when a man who appeared from a pub in a red-and-white scarf started shouting at them.
Witnesses said that the group – who were singing football chants believed to be associated with Millwall – turned back from a tunnel and started heading back to the boozer.
Shocked onlookers watched as the thugs started pushing and shoving aggressively – trying to get into the pub and at the man.

And things escalated further when they started throwing bottles and trying to kick down the door of the pub according to an eyewitness.
More and more people can be seen flooding out of the pub as a full-on brawl explodes.
Groups of men can be seen grappling and throwing punches in broad daylight.
At one point a man who came out of the pub picked up a metal pole and began brandishing it at the alleged Millwall fans.

He can be seen picking up the pole and waving it threateningly as the thugs back up to the tunnel.
Eventually a man who appears to be a bouncer or staff member at the pub manages to calm him down enough to relieve him of his makeshift weapon.
At the end of the footage, a couple more young men are seen scrapping near the entrance to the tunnel when one trips over.
He is then set upon by a few thugs who appear to launch kicks at punches at him that an eyewitness says left him “knocked out”.
Cops said that one man was hospitalised as a result of the brawl while one man was arrested on “suspicion of violent disorder”.
An eyewitness told The Sun of the “horrifying” scenes that took place in broad daylight.
She said: “We were walking over London Bridge when we heard shouting and football chanting which sounded like Millwall chants.
“We stuck our heads over the side of the bridge and the Millwall fans had seemed to go back into the tunnel.
“A man came out of the pub wearing red and white scarf, I think he’s a Sunderland supporter, and started shouting at them – all of the Millwall fans turned back walking towards him.”
    ‘CHAOS’
The eyewitness continued: “A bouncer or staff member told the Sunderland fan to get back in pub but the Millwall fans started throwing bottles and trying to kick down the door of the pub to get inside.
“They were hanging outside the pub for a little bit but a fight broke out as it escalated as more and more people came out.
“One guy had the pole used to separate the queues and came out of the pub and was swinging it. He tried to start chase guys back down tunnel with bollard backed up by other people from the pub.”
She added: “One guy started chasing Millwall fans who fell over they started kicking him and kicking him in head and it looked like he was knocked out – it was chaos.
“There were a lot of tourists walking along the bridge who were shocked and horrified to see the violence out in the open.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 14:34hrs on Saturday, 4 February, to reports of a group of people fighting outside a pub in Montague Close, SE1.
“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. One man was taken to hospital with an injury to his face. His condition is not life-threatening.

Mason Greenwood will continue to be excluded from FIFA 23 after charges against Man United star dropped

He was absent from the FIFA series since being removed from active squads and was suspended from appearing in Ultimate Team packs and Ultimate Draft in last year’s edition.
It is reported that he will continue to be excluded, but the video game’s publisher EA Sports declined to comment on the situation.
Greenwood had all charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control against him dropped yesterday.
Greenwood said he was “relieved” yesterday after all criminal charges against him — including attempted rape — were dropped by prosecutors.
The Man United star was informed that the Crown Prosecution Service had also withdrawn charges of actual bodily harm and coercive or controlling behaviour.
The move came after 12 witnesses — including the woman at the centre of the allegations — refused to co-operate.
Striker Greenwood, 21, said: “I am relieved that this matter is over and I would like to thank my family, loved ones and friends for their support.”
But United bosses announced the club is now conducting its own probe into his behaviour surrounding the claims — which surfaced online in January 2022.

Greenwood — who the club suspended following his arrest — will be unable to train or play for the Red Devils for the duration of the season.
A spokesman said: “The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps.
“We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.”
Last night dozens of United fans urged the club to get rid of Greenwood — who is on a £75,000-a-week contract.
Others said they should stick by him as he had not been convicted of any crime.
He was arrested in January 2022 after harrowing images were posted on social media, along with video and audio footage, suggesting he had been physically abusive towards a woman.
He was charged last October and had been due to stand trial this November.
The charges came despite the alleged victim telling cops in April 2022 she no longer wanted him prosecuted and would not give evidence  in court.

Police continued the case as they regarded her as a “vulnerable victim”.
Last Friday The Sun told the CPS that we understood it was struggling to build a case.
It confirmed our information at 2pm yesterday, when the end of proceedings was announced.
A CPS spokesman said: “A combination of the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction.
“We have explained our decision to all parties.
“We would always encourage any potential victims to come forward and report to police and we will prosecute wherever our legal test is met.”
