Sources said Jack was told of the break-in minutes after City’s win at Goodison Park.
And shaken residents told how five police patrol cars dashed to the   area at 10pm.
One said: “The police arrived at my property and asked if they could enter the land to carry out searches.

The clash came after a Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace match in March this year and the trio have now been dragged before the court.
Footage showed the group approaching a pub, before they started shoving security outside the door.
Bystanders can be seen trying to intervene as the trio start throwing punches as the guards try to protect themselves.
Daisy can be seen rushing at and punching the security as they try to hold her back.

Innocent onlookers and security can be seen tumbling to the ground as the violent scuffle takes over the footpath.
Amid the chaos, Daisy is knocked to the ground and appears to be knocked out, with a man hurrying to try to get her off the wet concrete.
Her brother Calum had started causing issues in the hours prior, when he approached a group of Crystal Palace supporters as they left Brighton Station.
He started abusing the group and being aggressive towards cops, seeing his match day ticket cancelled.

Then, at 9.30pm, the violence outside the pub erupted.
The trio had previously admitted to affray and this week appeared in the Lewes Crown Court for sentencing.
Daisy was slapped with an 18-month community order, with 15 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement sessions.
She also has to pay a £200 fine.
Brother Calum was locked up for six months, and also given a six-year Football Banning Order.
And Dasiy’s ex Treagus was sentenced to 150 hours of unpaid work as part of an 18-month community order. He must also pay a £200 fine.
A four-year Football Banning Order was also imposed.
Sussex Police’s dedicated Football Officer, Darren Balkham, said: “The behaviour of the Adams family and Treagus was appalling.
“Not only in how Calum spoke to officers before the match, but also in their drunken behaviour later in the night.

“As a result, Calum Adams and Oliver Treagus have been served with Football Banning Orders which prevent them accessing football matches.

Premier League stars paying fortunes on ex-SAS security and panic rooms as foreign crime gangs fly in to raid mansions

PREMIER LEAGUE players are paying hundreds of thousands of pounds to install panic rooms in their houses amid reports of gangs flying into the UK to burgle their homes.Injured Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne had his 70-acre mansion raided over the weekend while he was in Saudi Arabia.

Cancelo shares pics of his injuries after raid on his house
England forward Raheem Sterling suffered a similar incident last year while he was at the World Cup in Qatar.
A number of other players have also been targeted including Jesse Lingard, Joao Cancelo, Victor Lindelof and Paul Pogba.
Security services are said to be working with footballers and clubs to combat the issue.
According to The Mail, organised groups, many of which reside in Albania, are targeting wealthy individuals – including top-flight footballers – to rob before they flee the country, often wearing the stolen goods while going through airport security.

They are also known to be watching high-end jewellers to identify people to target.
And there are a number of other concerns regarding player safety.
The increased popularity of women’s football has led to worries over the presence of stalkers, while male players have reported they were followed home after games.
But now the problems are leading to players taking extreme measures.

Individuals are investing huge sums of money in steel-enforced panic rooms at their homes.
This enables them to swiftly enter a safe space which contains secure lines and panic alarms.
Virtual perimeters, known as geofencing, are also thought to have been installed – which are made up of an invisible wall monitored by CCTV and sensors.
Other provisions include bodyguards, house sitters and guard dogs.
Clubs have also given their players lectures on ways to avoid being targeted.
These include not posting on social media about holidays or events until after they have returned home, as well as not going to jewellers and instead making them come to their homes. More

Derbyshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
The club launched a “thorough external investigation” after her family claimed her spirit “was allowed to be broken” by football.
A statement from Sheffield United said: “Following a thorough review of the valuable input provided by each of the key witnesses put forward by Maddy’s family and the Club, the investigation has found no evidence of wrongdoing.
“The Club is always looking for ways to evolve and will reflect on the outcomes and recommendations arising from the investigation to consider how processes and policies may be improved.”

Prior to her death, Cusack had just started her sixth season with the Blades in the Women’s Championship and was the longest-serving player in their squad, with over 100 appearances.
The former England youth international signed a new contract extension with the Blades in July and also worked as a marketing executive for the club.
A speech, read by her mum, Deborah, at a memorial service in October said: “My beautiful daughter, Madeleine.
“The saddest and most utterly heart-breaking reason why I am having to stand here and speak to you today is because of football.
    Most read in Football
“From February this year, the indomitable, irrepressible spirit, the spirit called Maddy, the spirit that we had so fiercely protected, was allowed to be broken, taking her away from me.”
In an additional statement the family revealed Sheffield United had agreed to appoint a firm to carry out a probe into the events surrounding Maddy’s death.
The statement said: “Those who knew Maddy well will be aware that she had no long-standing mental health issues or troubles.
“Not that there would be anything to be ashamed of if there were, but there were not. Those that didn’t know her need to know that.
“Maddy was a happy-go-lucky, care-free girl with everything to live for and last Christmas could be described as being at her happiest.
“This all changed gradually from February this year.
“It is no secret, nor should it be, that Sheffield United have agreed, at the request of Maddy’s family, to carry out a thorough external investigation into the events that her family believe contributed significantly to her passing at the tender age of 27.
