Footage has emerged of a row with locals at 3.45pm – just hours before the stabbing in the Barcelona neighbourhood Yamal, 17, grew up in.The row started after a group of shirtless men yelled and threw water at Nasraoui from a balcony while he was walking his dog in Mataró, reported Relevo. The footage shows Nasraoui, wearing a Barcelona football shirt with his son’s name on the back, arguing with a group standing in a doorway. Nasraoui is renowned for being his son’s number one supporter and was there when the 17-year-old secured the European Championship title this year. But he has been in trouble with the law before.Last year, Nasroui was forced to pay £470 after he assaulted a group and attacked a tent belonging to the right wing party Vox during the election.Yamal is preparing for Barcalona’s first La Liga match of the season this Saturday against Mestella, with the stabbing reportedly affecting his preparation. Who is Lamine Yamal?Lamine Yamal, 17, was the breakout star of Euros after scoring a wonder goal in the semi final against France. At just 15, Yamal made his debut for Barcelona in LaLiga – coming off the bench for a lively cameo. In doing so, he became the Catalan giants’ youngest ever player this century. He is fiercely proud of his roots – donning the flags of both of those countries on his Adidas F50 boots, the same worn by his idol Lionel Messi, who he has been compared to, and told GQ that the same people who call him the ‘next Messi’ are also likely to criticise him.Incredibly, Messi and Yamal crossed paths when he was just six months old, after his parents bagged a charity calendar photoshoot with the Argentina and Barca great.A baby Yamal was lovingly held by the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, just 20 himself at the time, before being given a bath.Yamal’s mum and dad split when he was a young boy, so he divided his time between two homes – using a train pass to get around.Yamal with his father Nasraoui and his younger brother as they celebrate winning the EurosCredit: ReutersPolice herded Nasraoui away from the people who argued with, video shows More

Lauryn Goodman may look greedy over Kyle Walker court demands – but here’s why I applaud her

EARLIER this year, I wrote that famous “kiss and tellers” throughout tabloid history were rarely motivated by money. The majority were doing it because, in modern parlance, they’d been ghosted and it hurt.Kyle Walker’s former mistress Lauryn Goodman has recently faced him down in court over maintenance demandsThe England and Man City defender is facing perhaps his most tenacious attacker yetCredit: PAThey wanted to be heard, not just by the person who had promised them the world while the affair was going on, but also by the people who remained inner circle while they’d been cast aside. Now imagine that it wasn’t just you being made to feel like an irrelevance, but your children too.Consequently, England and Man City defender Kyle Walker is facing perhaps his most tenacious attacker yet — reality star Lauryn Goodman, his former mistress and mother to his son, four, and daughter, one. She’s refusing to go quietly into the night and has recently faced him down in court over maintenance demands that, on the face of it, appear to be cold-hearted money-grabbing.READ MORE FROM JANE MOOREA car for Lauryn herself every three years. A car for the nanny. An AstroTurf garden for the baby who, despite not walking yet, has a mean side-kick that suggests she, er, might play for the Lionesses one day.But dig a little deeper and one might charitably conclude that the real motivation is that she’s a tiger mum scorned.“My kids should have what Kyle and [wife] Annie’s kids have, says Lauryn, 33. “The law states that they should have the same.”In other words, it’s not really about AstroTurf, per se, but about seeking equality and relevance for the children she feels have been emotionally abandoned by their “errant father”.Most read in FootballIn an interview with The Sun on Sunday at the weekend, her hurt was palpable. She says Kyle “was present in Kairo and Kinara’s life and then just turned his back on them, when he promised he never would”.Lauryn Goodman Reveals Baby’s Name Amidst Court BattleShe adds: “What mother wouldn’t fight for that little abandoned boy and his sister? One day they will know what their father did — and what their mother did for them.” ‘I hope my children will be proud’When you have a child, the urge to protect them from harm, both physical and emotional, is visceral. You love them so much that the thought of anyone in the family not feeling the same way, let alone their father, is as deeply wounding as it is perplexing.“I hope one day my children will be proud. I love them so much and I have done all I can to protect their future. “I am the only parent in their life. I have to do that,” says Lauryn, who claims that all the money she asked for was for them alone. She also claims the house they live in “belongs to him” and is “an investment for him and one day I will leave it”. So while the financial demands read out in court are beyond the realms of what most people can afford, Kyle Walker is on £160k a week. And let’s not forget that, despite being trolled when her demands were revealed, it’s not Lauryn who betrayed Annie; Kyle was the one who stood at an altar and made vows.Sarah Symonds, who once did a kiss-and-tell on Gordon Ramsay, wrote to a newspaper this week in support of Lauryn, applauding her on behalf of “other women” everywhere for “having her day in court”.She wrote: “Keep going Lauryn. The Sisterhood of the Mistresshood are behind you. People will only treat you how you let them.”So while some of Lauryn’s demands are indeed excessive, there’s a small part of me that applauds her for refusing to be kicked to the kerb by an arrogant Premier League footballer who used her when it suited him then, when it didn’t, emotionally abandoned her and their kids.ACRES of column inches have been written on Katie Price’s ability to carry on with jaunts abroad despite being declared bankrupt for the second time.So I’ll make this observation instead. She is currently in Turkey for her umpteenth cosmetic procedure on her face. Begging the question: What self- respecting medic would continue to carry out “tweakments” on someone who will clearly never feel happy with what they see in the mirror?OK FOR SOME, AUNTIEDISGRACED former BBC newsreader Huw Edwards continued to receive his £479,999-a-year salary despite being suspended from work.Disgraced Huw Edwards continued to receive his huge salary despite being suspended from workCredit: GettyHe even received a £40k pay hike.Tim Davie, Director-General of the BBC, explained that it was a “difficult” decision but he was following employment law that ensures “employees are protected and there’s no risk”.And as Edwards was an employee of the BBC, Mr Davie admitted it would be almost impossible to claw back any salary paid since his arrest in November or to stop his generous pension. Now imagine it was Adrian Chiles, another well-known face on our screens, who had found himself in a position where he would lose his job.He would have been dropped at the first sign of trouble, with zero pay, zero benefits and zero employee protections. Why? Because Adrian is a freelance contractor who works for the Beeb and other media platforms via his company Basic Broadcasting Ltd.And yet he’s already been dragged through three tribunals by HMRC (with a fourth pending) who reckon he should be classed as an employee under complex IR35 legislation that no one understands. In other words, they want him to pay the same level of tax as Huw but with none of the associated employment benefits. Go figure.ON holiday 20 years ago, Andy Walker hit his head on a rock diving into the sea in India and was paralysed from the neck down. Now the Oldham-based 47-year-old plans to raise money for charity by cycling a 1,000-mile length of Britain on a bike controlled by his chin.He says: “Since my accident, I’ve had absolute conviction and determination to lead a full and rewarding life.”So, the next time we feel sorry for ourselves because a holiday flight is delayed or the car has broken down, we should all be a little bit more Andy and not sweat the petty stuff.CHLOE IS A MUDDY MARVELRICHARD MADELEY’S daughter Chloe has asked people to stop bad-mouthing her rugby star ex James Haskell online.Chloe Madeley has asked people to stop bad-mouthing her ex James Haskell onlineCredit: GettyShe says there’s “a heavy insinuation that he’s not a nice guy” and adds: “We went through our battles but we’re co-parenting really well and 50 per cent of that accolade is on him. “I want him to have some of that respect from people, which I don’t see him getting.”Given that so many celebrity couples publicly fling mud at each other after a break-up, how refreshing to hear someone throwing compliments instead. Is that fat or fiction you are on about, Rosie?Rosie Huntington-Whiteley posed following a lymphatic drainage treatmentCredit: https://www.instagram.com/p/C-KsmJpssSI/?hl=en&img_index=10MODEL Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has posted this photo of herself following a lymphatic drainage treatment that rids the body of “excess fluid”. Five bombshell moments from Lauryn Goodman and Kyle Walker court showdown – from explosive text to cruel threats

KYLE Walker’s court showdown with ex mistress Lauryn Goodman was filled with bombshell revelations from her huge financial demands to a cruel text to his wife. They include her outrageous shopping list, her threats and a shocking text to his pregnant wife Annie to reveal he had had a second child with her.Lauryn has been slammed by a judge for her outrageous demandsCredit: GettyKyle meanwhile was praised for his “grace, generosity and kindness”Credit: GettyThe footballer even had his own bombshell midway through the hearing as we can reveal he only found out boss Gareth Southgate was resigning when the news was made public.Goodman had taken to Walker to court herself just days after England’s crushing Euros defeat to Spain. She made a string of outrageous demands – claiming she needed the goods for “childcare” for their two children. But her wild shopping list has now been exposed – along with a string of other bizarre moments from the case.Read more newsHere are the five most explosive pieces of evidence…1. Lauryn’s shocking text to Kyle’s pregnant wife AnnieOn 27th December 2023, Lauryn texted Annie saying: “Hey its Lauryn I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter”.Judge Hess said this was “intended to, and did, cause distress to the father’s wife”.Lauryn said during her evidence: “I wanted to sort things out so all the boys could have a relationship. If we could sort it out maybe we could move forward. We had a normal conversation. That’s how I felt.”Most read in FootballShe added: “I was at the point where I was losing weight. I wasn’t eating. It was horrendous.”Nicola Saxton KC, for Walker, told her: “You acted in anger.”2. Threats to move close to his family home and having Kyle “over a barrel”Judge Hess pointed out that Goodman would hint that she would go public on the paternity of her child if she didn’t get what she wanted, and also threatened to move “a stone’s throw away from the father’s family home in Cheshire, an idea which she knew horrified the father”.She instead got a £2.4million property in Sussex. Kyle told the court: “I feel like in all this I have been more than generous. “I feel that the house that Lauryn has got is far too much but that was something that she wanted, and for her not saying anything to the world or the media or to Annie. “That’s why I bought her it.”He said earlier in his evidence: “The three conditions Lauryn gave me was to buy a house, sort the money out, and not to have another child with Annie.”Explaining why he paid £8,000 for a holiday for Lauryn and Kairo to go to Mexico, he explained: “I’m not going to say I was over a barrel or someone had a gun to my head, but she had a detonator. For me, it was about keeping the peace so my wife doesn’t find out.”3. Lauryn ‘spying’ with neighbourLauryn had become close with Mr Walker’s neighbour Jasmine and wanted to be kept updated on him and his family. She claimed it was because she “heard on the grape vine” that they were going to be applying for an order, but had little evidence to back this up. In August 2022 she messaged Jasmine, asking her to film them in the garden. Jasmine replied: “You can’t record someone without their permission.”Lauryn insisted: “Not to sell you donut. You can leave your phone recording in your garden.”Ms Saxton told her: “You’re spying on them aren’t you? And wanting to know what they’re doing.”She hit back: “No but I do feel like you guys spy on me on what I’m doing on my social media.”Another shocking text shown to the court heard Lauryn write: “Wait until they argue. Get some letters together. Ready to finish them.”Judge Hess ruled: “She had in mind causing irreparable damage to the father’s marriage.”4. Lauryn’s huge demands – and dig at Walker’s Euros final lossAmong the list of extraordinary demands was £70,000 for a Mercedes GLE, £30,000 for air conditioning and £31,200 for an astro turf pitch. She insisted the Mercedes GLE was a good family car, said she needed air con because her house gets hot, and even suggested the astro turf pitch was an essential because one-year-old Kinara might become a footballer. Asked by Judge Hess if that was a bit of a jump, she replied: “Never say never. The Lionesses are better than the Lions anyway”. That quip in front of Walker was just two days after England lost out to Spain in the Euros final. Kyle repeatedly insisted her demands were disproportionate. He said: “She’s receiving a hell of a lot of money.”The money I’m giving them quite happily. It’s a contribution for me not being there physically, but I think some of the things you are asking for are disproportionate.”Lauryn wants to make it a showhome rather than a family home. She should manage her money better.”Instead of splurging £30,000 on air con, he suggested: “You could go to Currys and get a fan.”And when asked about paying £30,000 to buy the nanny a car, he said: “I’d hire a nanny who has a car.”He added: “I don’t know how many people you would like me to pay for. The nanny? Lauryn? I will pay for my children. Does she want a chef?”5. Kyle’s huge wealthThe judge pointed out that Lauryn “did not appear to plan to move to any employed work. but would wish to develop her life as ‘a celebrity’.She was only worth £10,000 once her £81,000 debts were taken into account, compared to Kyle who was worth more than £26million. This huge sum included nearly £5million in the bank, £9.5million in investments and £1.2million worth of watches and cars. The Sun can reveal his car collection includes a Range Rover worth £160,000, an Audi worth £100,000, a Mercedes worth £8,000 and a G-Wagon Annie owns which they pay £2,000 a month for. But he insisted he should not be used as an “open-cheque book”, telling the court: “Let’s not be like because I earn the amount I earn, which I have done off my own back from football, that you can just spend my money and have an open cheque book.”If I was a painter or decorator I can guarantee this would not have gone this far. It couldn’t have gone this far, I wouldn’t be able to afford it.”READ MORE SUN STORIESLauryn, who is earning around £15,000 to go on Celebs Go Dating, has no other source of income other than the C4 show and blog payments. She said she gets between £600-£800 a month for her blog posts, and the figure has never gone past £1,200 a month.Kyle with his wife Annie KilnerCredit: Eamonn and James Clarke More

Lauryn Goodman slammed by judge following bombshell case against Kyle Walker after demanding thousands for ‘childcare’

KYLE Walker’s ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman used the England footie ace as an “open-ended cheque book” after giving birth to his love child. In a scathing court ruling delivered today the Instagram influencer was accused by a judge of cashing in on his betrayal of wife Annie Kilner.Lauryn Goodman went up against Kyle Walker in a court showdownCredit: Darren FletcherThe pair went head-to-head as Lauryn made a string of extraordinary demandsCredit: Darren FletcherShe knew he was desperate to keep the birth of their one-year-old daughter Kinara Storm a secret and used it as “leverage” to get what she wanted, a judge said. The damning 30-page document brands her an “unreliable” witness who tailored her evidence to suit her case rather than the truth. And it laid bare her wild shopping sprees and outrageous demands – after a previous judge had slammed her for spending money “like it was going out of fashion”.They included £33,000 for air conditioning at her seven-bedroom mansion in Hove, Sussex, a £22,000 furnishing fund, £70,000 for a Mercedes GLE, to be replaced every three years, and a £30,000 car allowance for a nanny.Read more on sportLAURYN’S SHOPPING LIST IN FULL£30,000 Air conditioning£31,200 Astroturf pitch£20,000 Furnishing fund£70,000 Car allowance every three years£14,750 per month/£150,000 a year in child maintenance for both children£3,900 per month childcare costs for Kinara of 30 hours per week at £30 an hour£30,000 Car for the nanny, to be replaced every three yearsA bespoke wood and glass baby gateA gardener at a cost of £28 per hour – “The lawn mower is heavy”£171.81 per month for two mobile phones – one for family, one for friendsAn iron – “I do have a steamer but it leaks”£800 Water filtersSPENDING SPREE£2,000+ Garden furniture£1,499 Garden chairs and table£6,250 Wardrobes£2,149 Outdoor lighting£9,000 Blinds£1,619 Oven£996 Bar stools£15,396 sofas£3,925 Sofa bedsWHAT HE’S PAID FOR ALREADY£1,059,717 for his and Lauryn’s legal fees£2.4 million house in Sussex for Lauryn£9,188 per month child maintenance for Kairo£7,000 per month child maintenance for Kinara£245,000 Lauryn’s legal fees for financial hearing relating to Kinara 2024£48,000 new wardrobes at Lauryn’s home£52,164 new blinds and curtains£9,115 CCTV cameras£5,651 burglar alarm£30,000 ‘Wish list’ for Kinara£27,000 ‘Maternity’ nanny for Kinara£16,678 to secure the nanny£5,590 per month for childcare costs£10,000 property management fund£75,000 furnishing fund£28,000 replacement gates for the house£10,000 Kairo’s fourth birthday party£73,000 Premium bonds and an ISA for Kairo£40,840 To clear some of Lauryn’s debtsOn top of that she wanted £14,750 a month in child maintenance, £3,900 a month in childcare costs, a bespoke wood and glass baby gate – and even an iron. She also insisted on £31,200 for an astro-turf pitch – telling the court that baby Kinara had kicked a ball with her left foot from a crawling position and showed a talent as a potential Lioness of the future.Kyle – who court documents revealed is worth a staggering £27million – had already shelled out £48,000 for fitted wardrobes and a media screen, £75,000 for a furnishing fund, £9115 for 14 CCTV cameras, £5,650 for an alarm and £52,164 for curtains and a blind.INSIDE THE CELEB COURT BATTLE OF THE YEARBy Ed Southgate, News ReporterA FOOTBALLER, a wannabe influencer and the fallout from a cheating scandal which resulted in two children. Kyle Walker’s showdown with Lauryn Goodman was the celebrity court battle of the year. There was certainly no love lost between the pair, who share a son and a daughter at the heart of this case, as they traded insults when giving evidence. Lauryn, clearly troubled by the extraordinary situation, was first up as she demanded eye-watering sums of money, including £70,000 for a Mercedes GLE.She claimed (without much evidence) that Kyle “doesn’t do as he says”, said “the whole thing is just horrendous”, and insisted she has “always tried to work with him”, despite two scathing court judgments suggesting the opposite. She also told the court: “I do feel like I’m controlled in a lot of aspects of my life. I want to live my life.”But she was spectacularly torn apart for threatening to tell the world Kyle was the dad, or even to move closer to him, if he failed to meet her huge financial demands. At one point, she was in tears.Kyle complained of being treated as an “open cheque book”, said Lauryn was “very interested in money” and insisted: “She should manage her money better”. He said he wanted to provide for the children, adding: “In all of this, I have been more than generous.”This case was heard just two days after England’s heartbreaking 2-1 loss in the Euros final against Spain, and we can reveal that Kyle only found out the shock news of Gareth Southgate’s resignation at the same time as everyone else – midway through the first day. He told me how his head was “scrambled” and began processing the news in the car back that afternoon. The right-back was clearly relieved when it was over, and said he was looking forward to going back to his home with wife Annie. It remains to be seen how Lauryn will deal with this latest blow – she is currently filming for C4’s Celebs Go Dating, which will earn her around £15,000. But Kyle will surely be hoping to be able to put these rocky few years behind him and enjoy his final few years in top-flight football. In a highly rare move for the often secretive family courts, Judge Edward Hess lifted reporting restrictions to lift the lid on a scandal that has gripped the nation all year. Most read in FootballHe praised Kyle’s “grace, generosity and kindness” and said he had acted with “dignity and, once the secret was out, honesty”.He applauded his exclusive interview with The Sun in the wake of the revelations and said it was “more to his credit than otherwise”.Lauryn Goodman issued warning by Celebs Go Dating over Kyle Walker drama as she breaks down in floods of tears on the show In stark contrast, he was scathing of Lauryn and her behaviour. The judge said: “Throughout 2023, he sought to keep secret the fact that he was Kinara’s father.”It is clear from the evidence that he was understandably embarrassed about this fact and anxious about how his wife would react when she found out.”In his attempts to persuade the mother to go along with the retention of secrecy, the father gave way to many of the financial demands of the mother which he might otherwise have resisted.”The evidence before me has amply demonstrated that the mother was able to leverage these substantial increases by hinting that she would go public on the paternity issue.”She also threatened that if she did not get what she wanted she would select a home a stone’s throw away from his in Cheshire…an idea which she knew horrified the father.Lauryn claimed she needed a £70k car allowanceCredit: GettyShe also demanded artificial grass and money for air conCredit: Getty”If the father thought that these rather generous house budget increases would keep his paternity a secret, he was to be disappointed.”The mother plainly had no intention of keeping the matter secret.”He added: “I think the father was correct to observe that the mother was in many ways treating him as an open-ended cheque book.”He said the £150,000-a-week Manchester City star, who also has four-year-old son Kairo to Lauryn, gave way to a flurry of financial demands in a bid to keep her quiet. He even increased her housing budget from £1.85million to £2.4million after she threatened to move within 10 minutes of his Cheshire home.If I was a painter or decorator I can guarantee this would not have gone this far. It couldn’t have gone this far. Kyle WalkerBut in his withering assessment of Lauryn, Judge Edward Hess said she had “no intention” of ever keeping it a secret. She laid a trail of breadcrumbs with a series of social media hints and had “not just cooperated with, but actively instigated” a feeding frenzy that erupted after he was finally exposed. The court was told Lauryn had applied for a “financial remedies” hearing for Kinara just two days after she was born on June 28 last year. Both Kyle and Lauryn gave evidence during a two-day hearing at the Central Family Court in London – less than 48 hours after England’s heart-breaking defeat to Spain in the Euros final.Full-back Kyle, 34, who earns £10million a year, flew home with his Three Lions teammates after the 2-1 loss before arriving at court the next day in a suit for the showdown. He successfully applied to adjourn the case by a day because of the final – despite Lauryn insisting that he should not be given “permission to celebrate or commiserate with his teammates”.Walker was dragged to court just days after the Euros finalCredit: GettyThe Judge dubbed the footballer ‘sensible, honest and reliable’Credit: Darren FletcherThey were each grilled for three-and-a-half hours over the financial provisions for Kinara.Kyle told the hearing: “If I was a painter or decorator I can guarantee this would not have gone this far. It couldn’t have gone this far. I wouldn’t be able to afford it. I have paid for everything.”I have had four boys with Annie and I have never had a nanny. I came close to being victim of deadly knife crime – that’s why I’m spending £1m to stop it, Tyson Fury’s promoter says

TYSON Fury’s promoter Frank Warren says violent crime on UK streets could have changed his life – so he’s spending £1million to stop it.Frank’s Queensberry outfit is donating the huge sum to BoxWise, a charity which gets youngsters in the ring to keep them out of trouble.Frank Warren at the Islington Boxing Club this weekCredit: BoxWiseFrank with his star boxer Tyson FuryCredit: PA:Press AssociationThe donation will let the charity double the number of places on its ten-week programme from 1,500 to 3,000.Legendary promoter Frank announced the donation at the Islington Boxing Club – a stone’s throw from the street where he grew up.In an exclusive chat at the boxing club, Frank told The Sun: “I remember growing up here on the streets of north London.”It was really tough and life could have easily been different for me.Read More Sport”The background that I have, that a lot of these kids have, you get a lot of peer pressure to be the tough guy.”You want to do this, you want to be that. That’s what you have to take away – that’s not what it’s about.”I’ll tell you what it is about boxing. When I was a kid in Islington there were no golf clubs, no tennis clubs.”All kids from working-class backgrounds could do was go and play football or box. Those were really the two sports. Most read in Boxing”They weren’t expensive sports to play – football on the grass or on the street, boxing you’d go down to the local gym. It was easy to do.”It’s not about being tough, it’s about respect. It’s not respecting someone if on the street they’re a tough guy.”It’s about respecting each other. That’s what boxing does. We’ll have a fight this weekend. “After that fight those guys will have knocked seven bells out of each other.”But they’ll have their arms around each other – that’s respect. That’s come about from working in the gym.”The son of a bookie, Frank grew up in Islington and started out as an unlicensed fixer promoting his second cousin Lenny McLean.Since then, he has managed or promoted the likes of Prince Naseem, Frank Bruno, Tyson Fury, Chris Eubank, Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton. He said: “Professional boxers are very important as role models. Kids look up to them and aspire to have their success. “The thing is with boxers, most of them are approachable.”Unfortunately in this day and age, you have to go through God knows how many people to speak with footballers.”When I was a kid, you’d stand outside the Arsenal and get autographs. They don’t do that any more.”But boxers are quite approachable. They come from the local area so they know people and people can see them and buy into them.”WARREN P’sQueensberry is donating £1million to BoxWise to boost its efforts to combat gang and knife crime in some of Britain’s poorest areas. The charity puts disadvantaged youngsters through a 10-week boxing programme at gyms up and down the country.Queensberry’s donation will let BoxWise double the spaces on the programme to 3,000.Frank will also join the charity’s new development board as its chairman. He said: “We have terrible knife crime and other problems due to the lack of respect that people have towards each other.”We’re obviously in the boxing business and BoxWise do a lot of brilliant things for the community and for boxing.”These kids been excluded or have been referred by the police or their teachers. If they weren’t here, they’d be out on the streets.”They’ve brought them through a programme that has changed their lifestyles, how they behave and the way they interact.”The way they interact with people, the way they work as a team, the attitude they have to their bodies with obesity and keeping fit. “Working together from different ethnic backgrounds. All these things – they’re all massive big pluses. It’s all tick, tick, tick.”Why would anybody not want to get involved? We’re blessed and privileged at Queensberry to be able to do this.”The thing is with boxers, most of them are approachableFrank WarrenFrank added: “The fact we’re launching it in Islington where I come from adds a bit of spice to it.”But this is being rolled out all over the country. BoxWise can now double the spaces they have for kids in the future.”People are giving their time up to do this. The adults, the coaches, it’s amazing what they do. “The boxing clubs are part of the community, and they deserve the support of the community.”If you want to talk about crime and doing things, start at the bottom. “What BoxWise does is just a revelation – for these kids it’s a revelation.”We’ll double the spaces to 3,000. We’ll make it happen, it’s a fact of life. “And then we want to get it from 3,000 to 30,000. Seriously, that’s what it’s about. “All over Britain. Kids should have opportunities – if you want better citizens, then raise them as better citizens.”Frank joked that if any of the youngsters at the Islington Boxing Club fancy their chances as a pro, they now know where to come. But he said: “The boxer of the future could be over there right now, and God bless them if they are. “But it’s not for me about being a boxer, it’s about the training. It’s about learning about your body.”Obesity is a big problem in this country – they’ll be learning about nutrition. The whole programme is great.”LET ME BE FRANKBoxWise’s Rick Ogden said Frank’s donation will make a “huge difference” to thousands of young people.Rick told The Sun: “It’s amazing. We’ve actually secured £3million in funding “Queensberry has pledged £1million, and its donation has been matched.”With this additional funding, we’re going to be able to double that straight away to more than 3,000 young people.”It’s not just about the money, it’s about the influence that Queensberry bring. “Everything from the ambassadors to the annual fundraising event to draw in more money.”For any charity to be able to tap into that huge level of expertise is really powerful.”The thing with BoxWise is the opportunity we offer at the end of the ten-week programme. “We pay for young people to take on further education or employment courses.”For any young person you’ll have an outcome after ten weeks, but what’s the long term outcome? “They will change so much, but they will still need that support after ten weeks.”Rick added: “I really hope that one of the things Frank will bring is being to open some of those doors within the sport as a whole.”Whether those young people want to carry on boxing, get into coaching or start volunteering in their local communities.READ MORE SUN STORIES”If we’re bringing thousands of young people through the programme each year, there’s going to be some serious undiscovered talent. “Could the boxer of the future be here?
