He later apologised to the 14-year-old, who has autism.
Earlier this month, the Portuguese star was interviewed by police under caution in relation to an alleged assault and criminal damage.
In a statement on Wednesday, Merseyside Police told the Mirror: “We can confirm that a 37-year-old man voluntarily attended and was interviewed under caution in relation to an allegation of assault and criminal damage.
“The allegation relates to an incident following the Everton v Manchester United football match at Goodison Park on Saturday 9 April.

“The matter has been dealt with by way of conditional caution. The matter has now concluded.”
It is understood that Ronaldo has agreed to compensate the schoolboy’s family.
Man Utd bosses confirmed they won’t be taking action back in April.
Chiefs are believed to be happy with the ace’s apology.

In a post online, Ronaldo said: “It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing.
“Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set the example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game.
“I would like to apologise for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair-play and sportsmanship.”
He had been visibly angry as he made his way off the turf following the Red Devils’ dismal loss at the hands of struggling Everton.
The United superstar appeared to lash out as he headed back to the away team dressing room.

After the incident, Jacob’s mum Sarah Kelly said: “At full-time the United players started walking off.
“We were right by the tunnel – my son was there, videoing them all.
“Ronaldo then just walked past, with a terrible, terrible temper, and smashed the phone out of his hand.”
She said she was left in tears and Jacob was in “complete shock”.
“He’s really upset and it’s put him off going to the game again. We had an absolutely brilliant day up until those final few seconds,” she said.
The news today comes amid a difficult few weeks for Ronaldo.
Jacob was really upset – it’s put him off going to the game againMum Sarah Kelly
His future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer, with reports he wants to leave United in order to play Champions League football.
This week, former United team-mate Gary Neville implored the star to “stand up now and speak,” criticising his decision to wait to tell fans what’s really happening.
But Ronaldo has since issued a statement to say “the truth” would be revealed when he participates in an interview in a couple of weeks time.
He added: “The media is telling lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only 5 were right.”
Ronaldo returned to pre-season late amid the reports of his exit, and was subsequently only named on the bench to face Brighton on the opening day.

While he was powerless to help United overcome that challenge, he then played the full 90 minutes in the humiliation The Red Devils suffered in their 4-0 defeat at Brentford last weekend.

The £52million defender is accused of 10 offences against seven women as young as 17 between October 2018 and August last year.
He denies eight counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of attempted rape.
Mendy’s co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 40, is accused of eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault relating to eight women, which he also denies.
The Chester Crown Court jury today saw a pre-recorded police interview with Woman One – who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Mendy first met Woman One along with her friend in Barcelona in 2017.
Woman One travelled to the UK the following year to see her friend and Mendy. The group went on a night out to two clubs.
At one of the clubs, Mendy allegedly told Woman One: “When he is not looking, I’m going to kidnap you.”
The following morning, the woman took a shower at Mendy’s house.

While she was showering, Mendy entered the room and “held himself in his private area”, the woman said.
She tried to grab her underwear but Mendy kept “obstructing her”, the court heard.
Woman One told cops: “He kept forcing himself to see me and take off my towel.
“I kept pushing him away to the point where he kept grabbing me back.”
She claims Mendy then sat on the bed and “put her on top of him” – before “holding her down” as she tried to push him away.
Woman One added: “I was clinging on to my towel so it would not come undone.”
The woman claims Mendy removed his boxers and moved his penis near to her.
She told cops: “He was saying things like ‘are you scared? You don’t have to be scared’.
“I kept thinking where are his friends? Why is no one here? Shall I scream? There’s no point.
He kept forcing himself to see me and take off my towel.Woman One
“He’s in his own territory, what am I going to do?”
On Monday, the jury were told harrowing details of the rapes – including the day Mendy allegedly attacked THREE women.
On July 23 and into July 24, there was a pool party, a trip to a nightclub and a post-club party back at Mendy’s “isolated” mansion.
During this time, Mendy allegedly raped three women – one aged 22 and two aged 19.
One of the 19-year-olds was also allegedly raped by Saha Matturie.
The mansion was “part and parcel” of how Mendy and Saha Matturie were able to abuse their alleged victim.
Mr Cray said there were five dates – between October 2018 and August 2021 – when nine young women arrived at Mendy’s address.
Afterwards, they all made complaints of rape and, or sexual assault against Mendy and Saha Matturie.
The court heard how Mendy and Saha Matturie shut several of their victims in rooms in the mansion.
    MENDY ‘RAPE’
The women were allegedly put in the study and master bedroom, which have “special locking doors”.
The locking mechanism created a “panic room” in case of burglary which can only be opened from the inside not the outside.
Mr Cray told jurors only someone who knew how to open the doors could do so, adding: “Two witnesses allege rapes in those rooms and felt they were locked in.”
“Vulnerable, scared, isolated – these are words you’ll hear from lots of the witnesses,” Mr Cray added.

Ryan Giggs showed off photo of ‘rough sex injury’ to ex-girlfriend Kate Greville after exchanging texts

RYAN Giggs joked that his partner was a “bully” after showing her a photo of an injury she’d given him during “rough sex”, a court heard today. The Man Utd ace – who has admitted he “never” stays faithful, either to former wife Stacey Giggs or other partners – said he and ex-girlfriend Kate Greville had a “mutual” interest in adventurous sex.

Messages between the couple were shown to jurors today. In one from 2019, Giggs showed Kate a photo of a mark on his neck. He captioned it: “Bully.”
She replied: “Oops, sorry baby. I had a bruise on my arm but you can’t see it because I was so brown.”
The former player said today that his remark was light-hearted – adding: “I was calling Kate a bully because I had a scratch on my neck from when we had sex.”
Another exchange from 2017 was also shown to the court. In one message, Giggs told Kate he was “scared of hurting her” when she asked for rough sex.

The complainant had written: “I want you so badly. Rough xx.”
Giggs replied: “Do you? I’m scared of hurting you.”
Kate then messaged: “I want it to hurt a little, not in a weird way, I just want you to shock and surprise me.”
He said today: “My concern was just that I didn’t want to hurt her… We were going to have rough sex and there’s a fine line between rough sex and hurting Kate.”

Giggs has previously told the court that while he is a “love cheat”, he has never behaved violently towards a woman.
PR exec Kate, 36, alleges Giggs headbutted her during the breakdown of their relationship after she learned he was cheating with 12 different partners.
The defendant admits his head may have “clashed” with hers during a “tussle” when she wouldn’t give his phone back.
However, he told cops: “I did not consciously try to hit Kate.”
The 48-year-old said tensions began to rise on a night out at Manchester’s Stock Exchange. He claimed Kate pushed a phone “in his face” to show him messages between himself and another woman.
He said she’d accused him of infidelity before, and admitted some of the accusations were “justified”, although claims she was wrong on the night of the incident.
    ‘BULLY’
Giggs then returned home to his £1.7million mansion in Worsley, Greater Manchester, but refused to let Kate and her sister Emma, 26, leave the property with their shared puppy Mac. He asked the sisters to go – but alleged they refused.
A fight then began as he believed Kate had his phone.
He told the court today: “As I went to grab the phone – I’m facing the cloakroom door, Kate has her back to the cloakroom door – we both slipped on the bags and I fell on Kate into the cloakroom.”
Asked if it was deliberate, he said: “No, we just totally lost balance because we slipped on the shopping bags.
“Kate ended up on her back, I was on top of her, rather than falling forward I went down… my head was on her waist.
“Then Kate just proceeded to kick me in the head.”
    Yesterday in court:

Giggs admitted he’s a “love cheat” who has NEVER stayed faithful
He claimed he and ex Kate Greville would have “rough sex”
The former footballer said he’s “unable to resist” an attractive woman
However, he says he has never behaved violently towards any of his partners or any other woman
He said he did not deliberately headbutt Kate, but their heads may have “clashed” during a “tussle” when she took his phone after allegedly learning he was cheating with 12 people

He said he was kicked about six or seven times before getting up and walking away.
But moments later the row began again after he grabbed Kate’s phone, believing she had his.
The situation became “aggressive” as she tried to wrench his hand from his pocket and the pair “clashed heads”, he said,
“It got more and more aggressive, a sort of tug-of-war, and we clashed heads,” he said.
“I could quite clearly see she was hurt. She sort of fell backwards.”
He said he hadn’t intended to cause Kate harm at any stage, and had never deliberately put his hands on her shoulders before headbutting her.
Giggs denies actual bodily harm, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assaulting Emma by beating her.
Kate alleged last week she’d been plotting her escape from their “toxic” relationship by secretly signing up for a new flat after learning of his affairs.
The couple were both married when they met each other and began an affair.
Kate left her husband six months after their romance began – but Giggs said he wanted to “have his cake and eat it” by maintaining a family life and continuing the affair.
He finally split with Stacey in May 2016 when she learned about Kate.
    ‘TOXIC’
But the pair didn’t last, and began to struggle last June before finally ending things in November after Kate accused Giggs of violence.
The complainant has claimed living with the footballer during lockdown was “utter hell” as she faced a “cycle of abuse” and became a “slave to his every need and every demand”.
Elsewhere, jurors have heard allegations Kate had told Giggs she was having “cancerous cells” removed in hospital – when she was instead getting her contraceptive coil taken out.
In one message, she said: “They couldn’t get it all in one go so need to go back on Tuesday.”
His lawyer Chris Daw QC asked: “Did she tell you the real reason she was going – to get her contraceptive coil removed?”
    He replied: “No, she didn’t.”

The pair “continued to have unprotected sex” up until Giggs was arrested on November 1 2021, it was said. At the time, he had no idea Kate’s coil had been removed, he said.

RYAN Giggs admitted he’s a “love cheat” as he stepped in the dock today to defend himself against allegations he headbutted his ex.The former Man Utd ace confessed he’s never managed to stay faithful to any woman and has lied to former wife Stacey Giggs and other girlfriends “many times”.

Quizzed by Chris Daw QC, who is defending him, he said he is unable able to resist an attractive woman – regardless of whether or not he’s in a relationship.
However, he said he’s “never” physically assaulted a woman on any occasion.
Moments after he began giving evidence, Mr Daw asked: “You’re known in news articles as a love cheat. Is that reputation justified?”
Giggs – who confirmed he’s a “flirt by nature” – replied: “Yes.”

The barrister said: “In the course of your relationship with women, have you managed to be faithful to any of them?”
    The footballer said: “No.”
He was then asked if he’d ever “lied” to his ex wife and other partners, and replied: “I have, yes… many times.”
The sportsman admitted even marriage wouldn’t stop him after he was asked: “If you’re attracted to a women regardless of your marital status, are you able to resist?”

It comes after jurors heard this morning that he told police he may have “caught” former girlfriend Kate Greville with his head during a “tussle” as they rowed over his alleged affairs.
But he flatly denied deliberately attacking or hurting her in a prepared statement handed to cops hours after his arrest.
Both he and Kate were married when they met each other and began a relationship. She left her husband six months after their romance began – but Giggs said he wanted to “have his cake and eat it” by maintaining a family life and continuing the affair.
He eventually left Stacey in May 2016 after she learned of their relationship.
On the night of his arrest, he and Kate had argued when she took his phone away in a fight over cheating.
And he claimed that she had lashed out at him first, jurors at Manchester Crown Court heard. As he went to call police, his head “clashed” with hers, he said.
“Unfortunately, Kate and I got into an argument which resulted in us having a tussle over my phone which she had taken,” the statement says.
“I accept during the tussle she caught me in the face, causing bleeding to the lip and inner mouth.
    ‘I’M A LOVE CHEAT’
“I may have caught her and her sister during the scuffle but at no time was there any attempt to harm either of them.”
He said he “regrets” the fight, adding: “I accept that during this scuffle my head clashed with hers… I did not consciously try to hit Kate.”
Giggs, 48, said tensions rose when he asked Kate and sister Emma, 26, to leave his house in Worsley, Greater Manchester, but they refused.
But he denies actual bodily harm, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assaulting Emma by beating her.
The footballer was arrested in November last year following allegations he’d attacked PR exec Kate at his £1.7million mansion after a night out with pals at Manchester’s Stock Exchange hotel.
He became “very angry” when Kate failed to refer to him as her “boyfriend” before attacking her as she packed up her belongings with Emma and called an Uber, it was previously heard.
Today, the court heard Giggs had defended his relationship in his statement to police.
“For many people, lockdown was hard,” he said.
    HEADBUTT CLAIM
“Whilst I accept [the relationship] was not perfect, it was mainly one of love and affection.”
He said “incidents happened” after Kate drank, adding: “I would never react with violence.”
Despite their problems, the couple had bought two dogs and were planning to move house, it was said.
“I thought we were planning for a future together,” Giggs told cops.
However, Kate alleged last week she’d been plotting her escape from their “toxic” relationship by secretly signing up for a new flat after learning he was cheating with 12 women.
She claimed living with Giggs during lockdown was “utter hell” as she faced a “cycle of abuse” and became a “slave to his every need and every demand”.
Jurors have also heard claims that Kate told bosses bruises on her arms were from “rough sex” after an incident at a hotel in 2017.
    ‘TOXIC’
Her employers were forced to block “intense” emails from Giggs because they “interfered with her work”, it was claimed.
Kate was seen with bruises on her arms again following an incident in February 2020, it’s said. She alleged Giggs had “got physical” with her in a hotel room.
Louisa Hamm, a friend of the complainant, said she’d seen marks on Kate’s arms that month when they were on holiday.
She told the court today: “Kate mentioned… she’d got in an argument with Ryan, quite a horrible argument.
“During the argument, she had been grabbed by Ryan, resulting in the bruise.”
But Mr Daw asked: “Were you aware that Kate and Ryan engaged in sexual behaviour that sometimes resulted in them being bruised?”

The mansion was “part and parcel” of how the Manchester City left-back and his co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 40, were able to abuse their alleged victims, Chester Crown Court heard.
Mendy is accused of 10 offences against seven women between October 2018 and August 2021.
He denies eight counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of attempted rape.
Saha is accused of eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault relating to eight women, which he also denies.

As the first day of their trial kicked off, the jury was shown drone footage with aerial shots from above of Mendy’s gated mansion house in Cheshire – 17 miles south of central Manchester.
Prosecutor Timothy Cray said the nearest village was a 15-minute walk away.
He said: “It was isolated or so many of the witnesses thought, and once they were there – with the gates locked behind them – they felt vulnerable.”
Many of the women had their phones taken away when they arrived – leaving them feeling “cut off”.
Jurors were also shown a police bodycam footage “walk through” of inside the house.

Footage showed the ground floor – including a swimming pool, jacuzzi and cinema room.
Mr Cray said there were five dates – between October 2018 and August 2021 – when nine young women arrived at Mendy’s address.
Afterwards, they all made complaints of rape and, or sexual assault against Mendy and Saha.
Mendy is accused of raping five of the women – the youngest just 17.
The court heard how Mendy and Saha shut several of their victims in rooms in the mansion.
The women were allegedly put in the study and master bedroom, which have “special locking doors”.
The locking mechanism created a “panic room” in case of burglary which can only be opened from the inside not the outside.

Some of the complainants were 17 and 18 at the time.
Earlier today, the jury heard how Mendy told his victim “don’t move” as he held her arms behind her back and raped her.

The court heard of a significant date involving a pool party, a trip to a nightclub and a post-club party back at Mendy’s house, on July 23 and into July 24 last year.
Over this period, Mendy is accused of the rape of three women – one aged 22 and two aged 19.
One of the 19-year-olds was also allegedly raped by Saha.
Saha is also accused of the sexual assault of another woman, aged 22, in the same 24-hour period.
On the evening of July 23, a 22-year-old woman who worked at a nightclub in Manchester was invited to the pool party by Saha in return for money – an attempt to “procure” her as a potential victim, it is alleged.
Mendy invited the 22-year-old to the cinema room in the house and the woman told another girl if she was not back in 10 minutes to come and find her.
The 22-year-old did not want sex but he “persisted in his demands” until she gave in and he raped her, the court heard.
The other girl did come looking for her – but found two of Mendy’s associates blocking her way.
After the pool party, Mendy, Saha and others went to China White nightclub in Manchester.
Two 19-year-old woman who had been to the pool party returned to Mendy’s house after the club, where both were raped, it is alleged.
One remembered being in the swimming pool.
Her next recollection was being face down on a sofa in the living room with her arms being held behind her back.
Mendy was raping her saying, “Don’t move, don’t move”, the court heard.
The £52million defender today arrived at Chester Crown Court for the first day of his trial.
Mr Cray said between October 2018 and August 2021, nine young women arrived at Mendy’s address on five separate days.
They afterwards made complaints of rape and sexual assault against Mendy and Saha.
There are also four separate complaints against Saha involving allegations away from Mendy’s house, in Manchester and Sheffield.
Mendy was bailed in January after spending 134 days in custody following his arrest in August.
Premier League champions Man City spent a reported £49.2million signing Mendy from French side Monaco in 2017.
He last played for the club on August 15, 2021, during their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at the start of last season.

Describing one alleged incident, Mr Cray said a complainant – who first met Mendy in Barcelona – ended up at his home after going into Manchester for food and drinks with the player and another man.
The prosecutor said the woman had made it very clear that she was not interested in Mendy.
The acts that the defendants did together show callous indifference to the women they went after. In their minds, and this could not be clearer, the stream of women they brought to their homes existed purely to be pursued for sexProsecutor Timothy Cray QC
He said: “The next day, she was having a shower when Mendy entered the bathroom and started to touch himself in front of her.
“She told him to leave and tried to get a towel to cover herself up.
“She also tried to get her underwear from her bag but Mendy took it from her, saying words like, ‘I just want to see you’.”
The prosecutor said the woman was unable to leave the bathroom and they ended up on the bed with the woman on Mendy’s lap.
He said: “She tried to move but she was unable to get away from him.”
Mr Cray accused Mendy of “treating women as though they existed purely for sex” and said the feeling of his alleged victims “counted for nothing”.
He added: “These women were disposable: things to be used for sex, then thrown to one side.
“That was the effect of deliberate, planned choices the defendants made, and the desires they let loose many times.”
Mr Cray said Saha was Mendy’s friend and fixer, and one of his jobs was “to find young women and to create the situations where those young women could be raped and sexually assaulted”.
The prosecutor told jurors they will hear from 13 different women during the trial.
There are seven complainants against Mendy, and eight against Saha, with two complainants alleging both men raped them.
Mr Cray said: “Our case is that the defendants’ pursuit of these 13 women turned them into predators, who were prepared to commit serious sexual offences.”
He added that “the fact they would not take ‘no’ for an answer” would be something the jurors will “hear time and time again”.
    ‘SCARED AND ISOLATED’
Mr Cray said there were five dates, between October 2018 and August 2021, when nine young women arrived at Mendy’s address.
In September 2020, City boss Pep Guardiola revealed Mendy would be out of the game for at least a month due to an injury.

In a statement, the club later said: “Manchester City can confirm that following his being charged by police today, Benjamin Mendy has been suspended pending an investigation.
“The matter is subject to a legal process and the club is therefore unable to make further comment until that process is complete.”

RYAN Giggs’ ex-girlfriend screamed “get him off me” before he headbutted her in a drunken rage, a court heard today. The ex-Manchester United player then allegedly threatened to do the same to Kate Greville’s sister Emma, yelling: “I’ll headbutt you next.”

The footballer is accused of ABH against his former partner, as well as subjecting her to three years of “controlling and coercive behaviour”.
He is also facing an assault by beating charge against 26-year-old Emma.
At the start of the second week of the trial, Emma said Giggs placed his hands on Kate’s shoulders during an argument and headbutted her in the lip “with lots of force”.
She told the jury the defendant then went on to blame her for the incident at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester.

“Afterwards he told me it was my fault he had headbutted Kate and turned to me and said ‘I’ll headbutt you next’,” she said.
“[He was] extremely angry. I felt fear as he had just headbutted Kate so why wouldn’t he do the same to me?”
Manchester Crown Court heard how Emma was looking after the couple’s puppy Mac on November 1, 2020, while Giggs and her sister had dinner at the Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester city centre.
Emma said the PR executive was already planning to leave Giggs at a future date while he was away on touring duties after allegedly finding evidence he had cheated on her with eight women.

She received a call from her sister who was “annoyed” they were late for dinner because Giggs had “been out all day drinking”, she said.
Later, Kate messaged her: “Pack my stuff in the car, we are leaving tonight”, the court heard.
Emma said her sister was “visibly upset” when she arrived and could see she had been drinking but was “not stumbling”.
Peter Wright QC, prosecuting asked: “Did she explain anything to you about the reason for her being upset at that time?”
Emma replied: “She just told me she confronted him about cheating but didn’t go into detail because we had a tight timescale.
“We wanted to get out of the house.”
Giggs followed about 15 minutes later, she said, and his mood was “not happy”, adding: “He was also very drunk.”
Emma said she retreated into a bedroom in the house before she later went back downstairs and saw her sister hugging the puppy in the hallway.
She told the court: “Ryan then said ‘say your goodbyes to the dog, you will never see him again’.
“It was in a snide manner, that he had the power, that he could keep the dog when he knew the dog was Kate’s.”
    ‘SHE WAS IN PAIN’
Giggs then accused Kate of taking his phone, said the witness, which she denied, so he picked up some of Kate’s belongings, including a handbag, and placed them in the hallway.
Emma told the court: “Ryan turned to Kate and said ‘if I don’t have my phone, you are not having yours.
“Kate grabbed it before he did and they were in physical contact with each other.”
She left to check on the dog and when she returned she saw Giggs’ legs sticking out of the ‘boot room’ into the hallway.
She said: “I could hear shouting, arguing, and scuffling around.
“Kate was lying on her back and Ryan was lying on top of her. Ryan was trying to grab Kate’s phone.
“His face was in her line with her face. Her legs were more bent up and he was lying flat on top of her.
“From her facial expressions I could tell she was in pain.
“Kate said ‘get him off me’ so I put both my arms around his waist and as Kate was using her legs to push him off I was pulling.
“As I was pulling him up he was standing upright in the doorway.
“He turned to his right and his elbow touched my jaw and as a result I let go. Not in a gentle manner, it was a ‘get off me’ manner.”
I felt fear as he had just headbutted Kate so why wouldn’t he do the same to me?Emma Greville
Emma said she was “upset”, felt “shock” and immediately called her parents for advice on what to do next.
She next saw her sister in the kitchen as she tried to retrieve her phone from Giggs’ back pocket.
She told the court: “I said to Ryan ‘just give her phone back and then we will go’ and also said to him ‘I saw you on top of her grab her phone so I know you have her phone’.
“He called me a ‘a f****** liar’. Kate said to Ryan ‘See, I have proof’.
“He had gone from annoyed to extremely angry.
“He put both his hands on Kate’s shoulders and with lots of force used his head to headbutt her in the lip.
“She fell to the ground screaming and covering her face.”
Kate told her to call the police, she said, as Giggs pleaded with her not to do so and said ‘think about my daughter, think about my career’.
She said he told her to think about her sister’s career and that “it would be in all the newspapers”.
    ‘EXTREMELY ANGRY’
Emma said she thought her sister’s relationship with Giggs varied from “loving to being very distant”.
Swearing and shouting featured in their arguments but “nothing physical” until the night of November 1, she said.
Giggs denies assaulting Kate causing her actual bodily harm and assault by beating of Emma.
He has also pleaded not guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour against Kate between August 2017 and November 2020.
Earlier, the court heard how Kate told bosses her bruises were from rough sex as they tried to block Giggs’ “intense” emails because they were “interring with her work”.
Kate’s PR firm manager Elsa Roodt – who appeared on a video link from Dubai – said that Q Communications had “no other option” than to try to stop Giggs’ messages from bombarding her after seeing marks on her arms following an incident at the Westin Hotel in 2017.
The witness also described seeing Kate with bruises on her arm after an incident in February 2020.
Ms Roodt said: “She said Ryan had got physical with her the night before in the hotel room.”
The boss described having to stop Giggs’ emails after they began distracting Kate.

“At one stage, early on in her employment, we had to call our internet provider to block Ryan Giggs’ email,” Ms Roodt told the court.
“It was intense and Kate couldn’t do her work. We had no other option.”

As the second week of his trial kicked off, the court heard how her bosses tried to block emails from Giggs because they were “interfering with her work”.
Kate’s PR firm boss Elsa Roodt – who appeared on a video link from Dubai – said that Q Communications had “no other option” than to try to stop Giggs’ messages from bombarding her.
Ms Roodt also said she noticed Kate had bruises on her arms the morning after an incident with Giggs at the Westin Hotel in 2017.
But Kate said the marks were from “rough sex” following an argument.

Ms Roodt started PR firm Q Communications in Dubai with Ms Greville’s university friend Katie Harvey in around 2010.
Kate was then taken on to help set up their Abu Dhabi office in 2016.
Ms Roodt was asked by prosecutor Peter Wright QC about seeing Kate the day after an incident with Giggs at the Westin Hotel in 2017.
She said Ms Greville had bruises on her arm and “had been crying”. Kate told her the pair had an argument in the hotel room.

“I asked her how she got the bruise and she said after the argument they had ended up having quite rough sex and the bruises were from that,” Ms Roodt said.
The witness also described seeing Ms Greville with bruises on her arm after an incident in February 2020.
“It was interfering with her work and we had no other option than to try and block his email.”
Ms Roodt said that Kate was “very bubbly, very happy” when she first started working for Q Communications.
But as time went on, Kate “started to be very distracted” and seemed “a lot more worried”, Ms Roodt added.
Kate became preoccupied with answering her phone and “being available at all times”.
The court heard Kate is currently a managing partner in the UK branch of Ms Roodt’s business.
Giggs, 48, denies using controlling and coercive behaviour against Ms Greville, assaulting her, causing actual bodily harm, and the common assault of her younger sister.
Last week, the court heard Giggs threw a laptop bag at his ex’s head and kicked her so hard she fell off the bed.
Kate claimed Giggs attacked her at the swanky Stafford Hotel in London in December 2019.
In a witness statement, Kate said the footballer “threw a bag at my head with a laptop in it which caused my head to swell and bruise”.
She also claimed Giggs booted her out the bed and threw her out of the hotel room naked in the alleged attack, which led to the ex-midfielder being arrested.
During cross examination, Giggs’ barrister Chris Daw QC asked if Kate was “trying to make everything sound as bad as it could”.
She replied: “No it was 100 per cent what happened.”
He also quizzed the PR exec over texts the pair exchanged the next day about how hungover they were.
    ‘CYCLE OF ABUSE’
Kate also thanked Giggs for coming to pick her up, saying it was “very lovely” of him.
Mr Daw said: “This was the day after you claim he violently assaulted you and reading these messages we don’t even get a hint of that.”
Kate replied: “He made me feel like it was my fault, he made me feel insecure and made me feel I couldn’t have a problem with what happened because it was my fault.”
She also told how living with Giggs in lockdown was “utter hell” but claimed at that point she was in a “cycle of abuse”.
In her previous evidence, Kate told how she became a “slave to his every need and every demand”.
She added: “He made me feel like I had to do what he said, otherwise there were consequences.”
Kate said she was a “vulnerable” position when their relationship started and claimed Giggs “played on it”.
She also told jurors the ex-footballer “isolated me from certain people” and “interfered with my ability to interact with my family”.

In another alleged violent incident in Dubai in September 2017, Kate claimed she was dragged naked from their hotel bed and pulled across the lounge suite when she said something he “didn’t like”.
She said she was left with a bruise on her arm when she was forced to retrieve her belongings from the hotel corridor naked.
