    Former Champions League star Ishak Belfodil, 31, arrested for ‘trying to strangle his 15-year-old sister’ in France

    A FORMER Champions League player has been arrested after allegedly trying to strangle his 15-year-old sister.Police sources said Ishak Belfodil, 31, left his sibling with strangulation marks after an argument.

    Her injuries did not require treatment but Belfodil was placed in police custody.
    According to information Le Parisien reported on Monday (June 5), the striker was arrested on Sunday night at his parents’ home, in the Paris region, where he was spending a few days.
    According to the French paper, cops were called 6.45pm by Belfodil’s sister, who accused the player of having wanted to strangle her.
    Upon arrival, police found strangulation marks and scratches on her arms.

    The footballer was then questioned by police at Elancourt.
    However, it is understood the alleged victim has not filed a complaint yet, French Football Weekly and RMC Sport reported.
    The footballer will be interviewed by the investigators and the Versailles prosecutor’s office has 48 hours to decide what to do with this case.
    A forward with Qatari club Al-Gharafa, Belfodil has played 19 times for Algeria, scoring two goals since 2013, after representing France at youth level.

    The Franco-Algerian athlete also played for Inter Milan in the 2013/14 season.
    Belfodil came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth training system but frequently changed teams during his career with 12 clubs in 13 years.
    When playing for German team Hoffenheim in 2018, the former forward stunned Man City when he opened the scoring after just 44 seconds.
    Belfodil also notably wore the colours of French club Lyon from 2009 to 2012.
    He later had spells with Parma in Italy, Standard Liege in Belgium, and other German team Hertha Berlin before joining Qatari club Al-Gharafa last year.

    Italian footballers ‘gang rape American student after meeting her in a club on night out in Milan’

    TWO ITALIAN footballers allegedly gang-raped a student they met in a nightclub. Mattia Lucarelli, son of ex-Livorno striker Cristiano, and Federico Apolloni, are both set to face a prelimary hearing amid the investigation.

    They are being accused of allegedly gang-raping a 22-year-old American woman.
    The alleged crime would have taken place on the night between March 26 and 27 last year at a private apartment in Milan.
    The city’s prosecutor’s office, through magistrate Alessia Menegazzo and deputy Letizia Mannella, requested the indictment on the charge of sexual assault for the footballers, both aged 23.
    Prosecutors also requested an indictment for the three friends who participated in the alleged rape.

    According to La Presse, they also coordinated a months-long investigation to reconstruct what happened that evening by using videos found on the footballers’ mobile phones.
    Italian outlet Corriere Della Sera reported the alleged victim would have been deceived after having accepted a lift from the group of boys she met at Gattopardo nightclub, in Milan’s city centre. 
    The preliminary hearing has been set by investigating judge Roberto Crepaldi for June 13.
    Apolloni, a Livorno central midfield, and Lucarelli, who plays for Serie D side Follonica, were placed under house arrest on January 20.

    They were obliged to stay in Livorno and were not allowed to leave their homes from 8pm to 8am.
    The measure was later revoked by the Court of Review.
    Both players have strongly denied the allegations.

    Sunderland star Jack Diamond appears in court charged with rape and sexual assault

    SUNDERLAND star Jack Diamond has today appeared in court charged with rape and sexual assault.The 23-year-old is accused of attacking a woman on two separate occasions at a home in Tyne and Wear.

    Diamond appeared at Newcastle Crown Court today where he denied one count of sexual assault.
    The winger did not enter a plea to the one count of rape he is also charged with.
    A provisional trial date was set for January 2, 2024, with Diamond released on bail.
    The alleged offences are said to have taken place between May 6 and May 9 last year.

    Diamond was on loan at League One club Lincoln City, who have since terminated his contract, when he was charged.
    The forward has also been suspended from Sunderland while the criminal case continues.
    A spokesperson said: “Sunderland AFC has been notified that criminal charges have been brought against Jack Diamond by the Crown Prosecution Service.
    “The player has been suspended with immediate effect, pending the outcome of the judicial process, and his loan agreement at Lincoln City Football Club has also been terminated.

    “As this matter is subject to a legal process, the club will not be making any further statement at this time.”
    Diamond made 45 appearances for Sunderland including when they won the Papa John’s Trophy at Wembley in 2021.
    He scored eight times in 36 matches for League One club Lincoln last season.

    He left the victim with a split lip and black eye in the attack in Bracknell, Berks.
    Colquhoun asked Mr Clark “are you English” before laying into him with a friend.
    Prosecutor Sarita Basra said: “An ambulance was called but just after the assault they continued to shout abuse.”
    Colquhoun admitted his guilt to the police.

    But he evaded justice by going into hiding in Scotland in 2004.
    Reading Crown Court heard his co-defendant had been convicted over the racially-aggravated assault soon after the attack.
    Although the race-hate assault case was abandoned, he has now been given 21 days behind bars for failing to surrender.
    Passing sentence at Reading crown court, Judge Sarah Campbell said: “You are now a grown man and have had nearly 20 years in effect to resolve the situation but you have chosen not to do so.

    It undercut the likes of Sky Sports by bypassing a Uefa-imposed “blackout” that stops the broadcast of most 3pm kick-offs on Saturdays, which encourages fans to go to games.
    Feeds were intercepted from broadcasters in Australia, the UK, US, Canada and Qatar and delivered a few seconds later to subscribers.
    The crooked service – which also offered film and tv – ran between 2016 and 2021 and even had its own streaming app.
    Flawless went to great lengths to avoid detection, even developing software to blur a unique code Sky adds to stop illegal streamers.

    When Premier League investigators raided the homes Flawless’s masterminds, they seized computer equipment and documents detailing the operation.
    The group’s “prime mover” Mark Gould netted a staggering £1.7 million from the operation.
    He was found in pyjamas surrounded by piles of Doritos packets and Domino’s pizza dips when he was cuffed at his riverside flat in Greenwich, South London.
    Doug Love, a Trading-standards investigator who led the raid, said up to 30 set-top boxes running streams were found at the address.

    At Derby Crown Court, Gould, 36, was sentenced to 11 years in prison following a rare private prosecution by the Premier League.
    Co-defendants Steven Gordon, Peter Jolley, William Brown and Christopher Felvus were all convicted of conspiracy to defraud, money laundering and contempt of court.
    Felvus, 36, was also found guilty of voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children.
    The four men were sentenced to between three and more than five years.
    A sixth gang member, Zak Smith, failed to appear at court for sentencing and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, the Premier League said.

    Her £5,300 wrecking spree ended when her mum arrived.
    Evenden, of Chatham, admitted threatening a person with a knife and criminal damage.
    Judge Philip Statman told her she was lucky no one was hurt, adding: “You proceeded on an orgy of destruction.”

    The Instagram influencer, who has 81,000 followers, bombarded the stars with persistent calls and messages.
    Sloan appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court where she admitted one count of harassment without violence and two of stalking.
    The court was told she was invited to a party at Chilwell’s house after chatting to him over Instagram.
    She slept with Mount once after meeting him at the bash and the pair chatted “sporadically” for around six months until he cut things off.

    Sloan then began bombarding the star with messages after changing her number 21 times when he kept blocking her.
    The court heard that not only did she message Mount but also bombarded Gilmour with messages about the Blues’ midfielder.
    Gilmour told the court how the stalking continued even after he moved to Brighton in September 2022 on a £9million deal from Chelsea.
    His new club put safety measures in place after he expressed his concerns over Sloan.

    However she claimed to have fallen pregnant in allegations that were described in court as “completely fictitious”.
    Gilmour was also forced to delete all his friends and family from Instagram so she could not contact them.
    He said: “I have not been able to sleep and I have had to take sleeping tablets which has affected my performance.”
    The star added: “Being alone in a new town where I didn’t have any friends or family is very isolating.
    “This is a person I met once for a brief period of time.”
    Sloan also sent Mount a screenshot of her paying £12.99 for a new number from Apple, saying: “I’m not buying food anymore so I can get more numbers.”
    Obsessed Sloan told him: “You must apologise or you will unlock a new character – Devil Baby.”
    Mount was left terrified she would show up at the Chelsea training centre after she was unable to contact him.
    She also made an Instagram account with the username DevilBaby_10, which she used to create collages of Chilwell with other women.
    The stalker tagged his family and friends in the “completely fictitious” posts during her campaign of harassment.
    Sloan admitted she stalked England star Mount between June 19, 2022 to October 28 and Scots international Gilmour between September 10 2022, and October 28.
    She also pleaded guilty to harassing Chilwell without violence between October 20 and 29.
    The influencer, who refused to comment after the case, will be sentenced on June 20.
    Sloan claims on her Instagram page she is an ambassador for Fashion Nova, a Los Angeles based online fast fashion retailer.
    She regularly posts photos of her lavish lifestyle from her travels in London, Mykonos and Bali, Indonesia.
    The influencer has boasted she made £50,000 from eating Percy Pigs while naked.
