He also allegedly assaulted her younger sister Emma by elbowing her in the jaw at his £1.7million mansion in November 2020.
Jurors at Manchester Crown Court were today played a 999 call Emma made on the night of the alleged attack.
Kate can be heard screaming in the background and saying “oh my god, it’s so bad”.
When asked by the operator why her sister is screaming, Emma replies: “She was headbutted in the lip”.

In a second call, Emma says Giggs is “doing a runner” as the operator asks for his name.
The call-handler replies: “As in the Ryan Giggs?”
Emma then tells them: “He said he’s going to headbutt me quite soon… He’s coming back”.
Giggs can be heard in the background of the call asking if she called the police.

He adds: “Kate, Kate, all I wanted was my phone, now we will be everywhere.”
PR exec Kate can still be heard crying in the background of the call as the operator asks if she needs an ambulance.
Emma says: “I don’t know, she’s got a burst lip, I can’t tell you. He’s headbutted her in the face.”
The court also heard from a police officer who arrived at the mansion and saw Kate sitting on the kitchen floor with a “swollen top and bottom lip with significant bruises”.
In bodycam footage of Giggs’ arrest, the footballer claims a row broke out after Kate refused to give him his phone back.
Speaking with blood on his mouth, he says: “We got in a little bit of a tangle, rumbling on the floor there.
“I didn’t know if she had my phone or not, I then tried to get her phone off her and we struggled on the floor and she’s kicked me in the head.”
Giggs continues: “She asked for my phone and there’s been a struggle over there right… I got injured first and then it calmed down.”
    ‘SLAVE’ CLAIMS
The former Wales boss also tells police he loves his cocker spaniel “just as much as Kate” as he’s quizzed at the scene by officers.
Giggs is accused of using controlling and coercive behaviour against Kate over a three-year period.
In her previous evidence, Kate told how she became a “slave to his every need and every demand”.
She added: “He made me feel like I had to do what he said, otherwise there were consequences.”
Kate said she was a “vulnerable” position when their relationship started and claimed Giggs “played on it”.
She also told jurors the footballer “isolated me from certain people” and “interfered with my ability to interact with my family”.

It was alleged earlier in the trial that the former Man United star, 48, had eight affairs.
Kate wept as she described being in lockdown with him as a “living hell”, a court heard yesterday.
She told jurors that the football legend became “more angry and aggressive” and that it was “a horrific time for me”.

And the jury heard that she told cops he cheated on her with a dozen women.
Footage showed Kate sobbing as she dabbed her lip with a tissue.
She told police: “Basically, I found a load of s**t before I told him and kept it to myself.
“I found he had been cheating on me for the last six years with ten or 12 women.
    Most read in The Sun
“Every time I found something it got worse, I found his iPad, kept it all to myself for two weeks.”
Earlier in the case, the court heard Giggs, 48, had eight affairs, which Greville uncovered on his tablet.
She said they were “full-on relationships that had gone on constantly from 2014”.
The footage emerged on day four of Giggs’s trial at Manchester Crown Court. The ex-Wales international is accused of controlling and coercive behaviour against Kate between August 2017 and November 2020.
He is further accused of assaulting Kate causing actual bodily harm and the common assault of her sister.
    Giggs denies all the charges.
    ‘You’re a manipulator’
    The court also heard that:

    KATE suffered panic attacks during lockdown with Giggs;
    GIGGS allegedly made it difficult for Kate to see friends and family during their relationship;
KATE admitted lying to Giggs about having cancerous cells de- tected in a smear test so she “would not have to have sex with him”.

She broke down in tears as she told a jury how Giggs left her suffering panic attacks after being trapped in a “living hell” during lockdown.
Kate said: “I felt like I was losing my mind. I was having panic attacks. It was a horrific time for me.”
Defence lawyer Chris Daw QC asked her: “You suggested lockdown was a period of living hell and there was nothing good about it.
Basically, I found a load of s**t before I told him and kept it to myself. I found he had been cheating on me for the last six years with ten or 12 women.
“Could you not have stayed at your parents’ house?” Breaking down in tears, she said: “Yes, I wanted to stay with Ryan.
“It was a cycle of abuse that made me feel insecure. I kept going back, he kept promising the world.
“He made me believe that he would not do it again and, stupidly, I went back. I am hugely ashamed of that but I did.” Mr Daw played two videos ofthe pair in lockdown.
They were exercising together in the garden and appeared in a TikTok video rapping to 50 Cent’s In Da Club.
Mr Daw put it to her that lockdown was “hard for everyone” but the couple were doing “fun things” including having Michelin star chefs cook for them, wine tasting on Zoom and online quizzes.
PR executive Kate said: “It was not all fun. It doesn’t mean he was being nice to me all the time.”
    ‘Hugely ashamed’
Kate claimed he had “conditioned” her to reply to text messages within seconds and had isolated her from friends and family. But Mr Daw pointed out a number of photos of Kate on holiday with friends in 2019 and 2020, when she visited Malta, Ibiza, Greece, Portugal and had also been skiing.
Kate denied having “active, regular and very enthusiastic sex” with Giggs at the time she had a contraceptive coil removed — and rejected the suggestion her plan was to get pregnant.
She did admit lying to Giggs by telling him she’d been told she had cancerous cells following a smear test — saying it was to cover up the fact she was going for an STD test, which came back negative. Giggs was branded “a pig” by Kate after she found messages on his phone to another woman after moving in with him during the pandemic.
Following the alleged incident in August 2020 — just five months after they started living together at Giggs’s £1.7million mansion in Worsley, Gtr Manchester — she messaged him: “Thank you for wasting my time you absolute pig. You are vile. Go to hell you absolute skank.
It was a cycle of abuse that made me feel insecure. I kept going back, he kept promising the world.
    “You’re a liar, you’re a cheat, you’re a narcissist, you’re a manipulator, you’re controlling, you’re aggressive, you’re violent, you’re a disappointment. No f*** off out of my life.”
Giggs replied in an email: “That angry you can’t write. Chills. Kate, you didn’t catch me in bed with anyone. I sent a few drunken texts, chills babe. I wish I had cheated now.” In another he said: “Give the therapist a call, Kate.”
Later in the exchange he told her: “I don’t give a f*** about you.”
The mum of one was asked about an alleged incident at The Stafford London hotel on December 6, 2019.
She said Giggs kicked her out of bed and threw a laptop bag at her head, before ejecting her from the room naked.
She also claimed he threw her naked into a hotel corridor in Dubai in September 2017.
Giggs is accused of assaulting Kate on November 1, 2020, following a night out. She said he headbutted her in the face.

Giggs, 48, also allegedly used controlling and coercive behaviour against Kate, 36, and attacked her younger sister Emma at his £1.7million mansion.
Kate is continuing her evidence at Manchester Crown Court today on the forth day of the trial.
She claimed how Giggs attacked her at the swanky Stafford Hotel in London in December 2019.
In a witness statement, Kate said the footballer “threw a bag at my head with a laptop in it which caused my head to swell and bruise”.

She also claimed Giggs booted her out the bed and threw her out the hotel room naked in the alleged attack, which led to the ex-midfielder being arrested.
During cross examination, Giggs’ barrister Chris Daw QC asked if Kate was “trying to make everything sound as bad as it could”.
She replied: “No it was 100 per cent what happened.”
He also quizzed the PR exec over texts the pair exchanged the next day about how hungover they were.

Kate also thanked Giggs for coming to pick her up, saying it was “very lovely” of him.
Mr Daw said: “This was the day after you claim he violently assaulted you and reading these messages we don’t even get a hint of that.”
Kate replied: “He made me feel like it was my fault, he made me feel insecure and made me feel I couldn’t have a problem with what happened because it was my fault.”
She also told how living with Giggs in lockdown was “utter hell” but claimed at that point she was in a “cycle of abuse”.
In another alleged violent incident in Dubai in September 2017, Kate claimed she was dragged naked from their hotel bed and pulled across the lounge suite when she said something he “didn’t like”.
She said she was left with a bruise on her arm when she was forced to retrieve her belongings from the hotel corridor naked.
But Mr Daw said the allegations were “lies” and maintained the mark was a “sex injury”.
He added: “It was a bruise caused by rough sex that the two of you enjoyed a lot.”
Kate said: “No, he grabbed me by my wrist and caused bruising.”
    ‘ROUGH SEX TEXTS’
The jury were read WhatsApp messages between the pair that were exchanged over a five day period following the alleged Dubai incident.
Mr Daw read one message from the time, in which Kate wrote: “I want you so badly rough.”
Giggs replied: “Do you? I’m scared of hurting you.”
Kate responded: “I want it to hurt a little. Not in a weird way. I just want you to shock and surprise me.”
Giggs told her “it’s a fine line”, to which Kate said: “We will just have to have fun finding that line then.”
The midfielder then sent a photograph of a sex toy, a paddle, in an Agent Provocateur box.
Kate asked: “What is that? Xx.”
Giggs replied: “You asked me to be a bit more assertive.”
She wrote: “I’m intrigued. When are you using this?”
He then sent a photo of a pair of handcuffs and said: “Just after you have used this.”
Kate wrote back: “Amazing,” and Giggs replied: “They f***ing are.”
She told jurors on Tuesday how she first had sex with Giggs in December 2014 while on a work event at a hotel in London and she left her husband the following February.

Ryan Giggs ‘used psychological tricks from self-help book “How to Win Friends” to lure me into bed’, says ex-girlfriend

FORMER footballer Ryan Giggs used psychological tricks from a self-help book titled How to Win Friends and Influence People to lure his ex-girlfriend into bed, a court heard today. Kate Greville claimed the Manchester United star repeatedly used her name to woo her at the beginning of their relationship – a technique she later learned about in the bestseller.

Speaking on day three of Giggs’ assault and coercive behaviour trial, she claimed she had not been happy in her marriage to businessman Damian Burke when she noticed the sportsman was interested in her.
She said Giggs used her name a great deal when they first started speaking, which she later discovered is a method favoured by author Dale Carnegie to get people onside.
Chris Daw QC, representing Giggs, suggested she was implying there was some sort of “clever psychological game” in play.
He said: “The impression you give is you only really had an affair with Ryan because you were unhappy and he basically reeled you in?”

Kate replied: “I’m not saying it was all one-sided.
“I was fully involved in that. There was things about him that definitely were luring me into a relationship.”
Mr Daw said: “The truth is it’s a complete fiction Ryan was using psychological techniques on your vulnerabilities. It’s just rubbish?”
Kate said: “Absolutely not. I felt like he was using techniques.

    “I was vulnerable, that’s a fact.”
Manchester Crown Court also heard how Kate felt like a “slave to his every need and demand”.
She alleged the former Wales boss made her feel like she had to do what he said “otherwise there were consequences”.
Giggs, 48, denies using controlling and coercive behaviour against Kate, 36, between August 2017 and November 2020.
He also denies assaulting her, causing actual bodily harm and the common assault of her younger sister.
Yesterday, Kate told a jury that Giggs grabbed her by the shoulders and headbutted her in November 2020 after she earlier confronted him about his serial cheating.
She said in the lead-up to the alleged assault she had learned he had “full-on relationships” with eight women while they were together.
The discovery of messages “going back years” on the footballer’s iPad prompted her to decide to leave him, she said.
Kate broke down in tears as she told how her ex “came at me from nowhere and headbutted me in the face”.
Describing the ordeal in front of him, the 38-year-old said: “I was in shock. I fell backwards, my lip instantly swelled.
“I put my hands over my mouth and I could taste the blood.”

He also allegedly threw a laptop at her head during a hotel row over his cheating.
And Kate said she felt like she was the former Wales boss’ “housemaid” as he “took the p***” out of the way she loaded the dishwasher and made the bed.
On the night of the alleged attack on November 1, 2020, Giggs and Kate had been with pals at Manchester’s Stock Exchange hotel.
It is said a row started as Giggs, 48, became “very angry” when Kate failed to refer to him as her “boyfriend”.
Giving evidence while being questioned by Peter Wright QC, prosecuting, she said he stormed off.
She added: “He said he was finished with me and didn’t want anything to do with me any more.

“I was upset at that point so I blurted it out.”
She claimed Giggs tried to deny cheating but was “very drunk and very angry”.

Ms Greville told the court how Giggs promised her kids and demanded sex all the time while he was dating eight other women.
She also alleged he once headbutted her and nearly split her lip open after refusing to give her her phone.
Meanwhile, emails dating from early 2019, exchanged between Kate Greville’s old work laptop and Ryan Giggs’ mobile phone, made reference to Gary Neville who was part of a work Whatsapp group with the pair.
Ms Greville said she had blocked Giggs after finding out he was in a relationship with another woman she named as Zara Charles.

Giggs sent an email with the subject: “WTF!!! Blocking me” after Ms Greville had blocked his calls on WhatsApp.
His follow-up email read: “F****** unblock me now.”
Giggs then said if Ms Greville did not unblock his personal WhatsApp number he would “chase her” on the work WhatsApp group.
She told the court this referred to a work WhatsApp group they were both members of.

Ms Greville said: “I was scared. He could have sent anything, he wasn’t very rational so he would potentially send something of a private, personal nature. Something that would embarrass me, humiliate me.”
She was then working for GG Hospitality, a company owned by Ryan Giggs and his former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville.
Peter Wright QC asked: “Who was GG Hospitality?”
Ms Greville said: “It was Ryan and Gary Neville.”
Giggs then text her the name of a male colleague, the court heard.
Ms Greville said: “He was jumping to conclusions of me seeing someone who was a work colleague.”
It was Ryan and Gary Neville.Kate Greville
The defendant then sent another message: “Private messaging and if you have the f****** cheek to say I’m with [the woman].”
Ms Greville said: “He’s thinking I’m private messaging [the male colleague] about being in a relationship, but it was never in relation to us but we were just work colleagues and there was nothing going on.”
Giggs messaged her: “Are you f***** dating [him], if you are, you’re finished.”
Ms Greville said: “(I thought) he was trying to ruin my career, ruin my job.”
The defendant then messaged her: “I’ll ask on the group who you are dating.”
    ‘MORTIFIED’
When asked how this made her feel, Ms Greville said: “Mortified, embarrassed, humiliated. My career was so important and he used that all the time.”
Giggs messaged her saying: “Leave it with me, let’s ask Gary and Michaela. Flirting in the work group chat.”
When asked who Gary and Michaela were, Ms Greville said it was Gary Neville and his PA.
Giggs also messaged her: “Do you want me to let you go Kate?” The witness said this was in terms of a personal relationship.
When he later messaged her, she told him “I thought you let me go.”
He replied: “Not a f***** chance, where are you, who you with? You’re beautiful.” and ”Talk to me, don’t be so damned rude.”
Earlier, Ms Greville told how Giggs allegedly headbutted her after a night out.
Ms Greville told how on the afternoon of November 1 she went with Giggs to the Stock Exchange Hotel – part-owned by the defendant and fellow ex-footballer Gary Neville – to meet up with friends including Neville’s personal assistant.
A row broke out over dinner, Ms Greville said, when she told Giggs about a man who had previously asked her out for a drink.
She told the court: “I said to this guy ‘I can’t believe you have asked me out, you have a girlfriend.”

Mr Wright asked what was the response from Giggs. She replied: “It was ‘why didn’t you say you had a boyfriend?’
“He was angry. He kept having a go at me. He wanted me to agree with him. I was not prepared to do that. I stood up for myself.”
Ms Greville said Giggs “stormed out” out of the restaurant and up to their hotel room where they had planned to stay the night.
She told her sister, who was dog-sitting for her at the time, to pack up their things, but said Giggs unloaded her belongings in bin bags from her car at the front of the house.
The pair then grappled over Ms Greville’s phone in the hallway of the house and inside an adjacent utility room.
Ms Greville continued: “He pushed me backwards, I ended up being on my back in the utility room. I was on my back on the floor with my phone in my hand.
“Ryan was on top of me. He’s pinning me down on the floor and trying to reach for the phone in my hand.
“I was trying to do everything I could to get him off me. I was shouting my sister for help: ‘Get him off me’.”
She said her sister Emma grabbed Giggs by the waist to pull him off but he pushed his arm back to try to get her off him and it is claimed he had hit her in the jaw.
Giggs then managed to grab Ms Greville’s phone, pushing her head into the floor as he got off her, she said.
She said Giggs told her he had called the police and was going to tell the officers Ms Greville had attacked him and was a “psycho.”
Of the alleged headbutt she claimed Ryan Giggs then carried out, she added: “I said I’m glad the police are coming because you attacked me and I will tell them what happened.
“That’s when he came towards me and headbutted me in my face. He just came at me, grabbed me by my shoulders and headbutted me in my face.
“I said, ‘I can’t believe you have just done that’. I was in shock. I fell backwards, my lip instantly swelled so I put my hands to my mouth. I could taste the blood.

“I was just in shock. All the other times he had hurt me, this was different. This was with real intent. He really wanted to hurt me.”
Ms Greville will continue to give evidence on Wednesday.

Kate said in a police statement, which was read out today at Manchester Crown Court: “He’d want to have sex all the time. He didn’t force himself on me but he’d use sex to get to me.
“He’d send me really sexual messages. When we weren’t speaking he’d send sexual messages or pictures.
“I’d constantly get abusive messages. It was a cycle of abuse and then silence.
“He would make me feel like he was threatening my job. I was so worried he was going to ruin my career.

“Then I’d found out he’d been in a relationship the whole time.
“He came over and had sex. I felt used the whole time. He’d want sex every other day. He was having sex with a totally different girl.”
In the statement she went on to claim that Giggs would constantly “put her down” and critcise her.
She said he would “take the p**s” about “the way I loaded the dishwasher was wrong” or that “the way I made the bed was wrong”.She said: “It was like I was a housemaid, I was his staff member.”
Kate also relived the “humiliating” moment Giggs allegedly kicked her out of her hotel room naked and shoved her to the floor in a row over him flirting with other women.
The court heard how the former Wales boss “flipped” during a night out before the terrifying attack at the five-star London Stafford – one of a string of assaults alleged to have taken place over almost three years.

Kate said the pair were in a club when she asked him who he was messaging.
He claimed it was his daughter and they both went back to their hotel before he allegedly grabbed Kate by her arm.
Giggs is accused of then “pushing” his ex to the floor, grabbing her belongings and throwing them into the hall.
He subsequently slammed the door in her face and refused to let her back in, a jury heard.
Kate said: “I was naked and all my stuff was in the middle of the corridor.
“It was humiliating. I had to get back in with like a towel round me.”
Giggs has been charged with causing Kate actual bodily harm and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour between August 31, 2017, and November 2, 2020 – claims he has denied.
He has also denied attacking her sister at his £1.7million home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, on November 1, 2020.
    ‘THREE YEARS OF ABUSE’
Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday heard Giggs threatened to send emails to Kate’s friends and employers about her sexual behaviour, as well as making unwanted calls when she tried to break off the relationship.
He also allegedly turned up unannounced and uninvited at her home, workplace and gym, and chucked her belongings out of his house when she asked him about his relationships with other women.
Opening the case for the prosecution, Peter Wright QC yesterday said Giggs was “idolised by his adoring fans” and described his skills on the pitch as “abundant and a thing of beauty”.
But he told the jury that behind closed doors was a “much uglier and more sinister side to his character”.
“This was a private life that involved a litany of abuse, both physical and psychological, of a woman he professed to love,” he said.
“A woman who, in reality, was, if the evidence is to be believed, treated in a way that cannot be excused or overlooked, by either an adoring public, or the law.
“This is a story of control and coercion of a woman who thought she was loved and respected, sadly the reality was very different.”
Giggs, who is on conditional bail and must not contact Kate or Emma, won 64 caps for Wales and had a glittering playing career with Man Utd, winning 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, four FA Cups and three League Cups.
He is also a co-owner of League Two side Salford City.

He stepped down as Wales manager last month after going on leave when he was charged in November 2020.
The footballer said he did not want the country’s preparations for this year’s World Cup in Qatar to be “affected, destabilised or jeopardised in any way by the continued interest around this case”.
