Phillips’ lack of game time has seen him linked with an exit from the Etihad Stadium/
Juventus could be an escape route for the Englishman as Calcio Mercato have reported.
The outlet claims that a loan move could prove to be “convenient” for all parties in the January window.
A permanent move appears to be off the cards because his salary and price tag are said to be “complicated” for the Serie A giants.

The Italian outfit will have to act fast should they want to wrap a deal for the 27-year-old as Newcastle are claimed to be “leading the pack” of interested clubs.
Pep Guardiola has previously insisted that he would not stand in the way of players such as Phillips wanting to leave the club.
He said: “Never. Never ever [would I stand in the way].
“From my point of view, I have said this to the club many times. I give my opinion to the club and they decide if the transfer suits for both sides and the player.

“Why? I think that means you are a small club [if you block a transfer]. Big clubs, they don’t care. They make decisions for the benefit of all three parties, players and both clubs – and the agents sometimes. So really it is not a problem.
“If they want to go to Chelsea or [Manchester] United or, I don’t know, Liverpool, whatever, what is the problem? They are happy to be there and the club is happy with the transfer.
“The other club is happy with the amount of money they spend, so it is fine. Another player will come to us and we keep going in a good spirit and a good mood.”
The Magpies are keen on adding a midfielder to their squad in the New Year in order to cover for Sandro Tonali.
The Italian midfielder is currently serving a ten-month ban for illegal betting.
Eddie Howe’s side have also been linked with a move for former Wolves star Ruben Neves, who is now playing in Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal.
However, that move could be blocked as Premier League clubs are proposing a ban on loans between teams with the same owners. More

Chelsea boss Pochettino APOLOGISES to Guardiola for what he did in Man City game and says he ‘deserved to get booked’

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has apologised to Pep Guardiola and the match officials for his raging finale to Chelsea’s 4-4 draw with Manchester City.Poch said he “deserved to be booked” for an X-rated rant at the full-time whistle sounding just as his Blues’ side scented a winner, as well as for for neglecting to shake City chief Guardiola’s hand.

The Chelsea boss admitted his behaviour was “not a good image” for both himself and football as a whole.
Guardiola claimed he has faced similar reactions in the dugout from Pochettino in the past but was “completely fine” about it.
Poch was in a frenzy at the end – keen to see Chelsea snatch victory despite Cole Palmer rescuing them a point with a stoppage-time penalty.
Marc Cucurella was surging forward – with Raheem Sterling well placed in attack – only for referee Anthony Taylor to signal for full time.

Pochettino responded by exploding at the fourth official, but was held back by his bench as he tried to get out to the middle.
He appeared to scream “what the f***?” as he waved his arms around.
Questioned afterwards, the Argentinian said: “I need to apologise to Anthony [Taylor] and the officials.
“In this moment, I feel Raheem [Sterling] can go through to score the fifth. In this moment when we finish the game, I turn to Anthony and say ‘What the, you know, is going on? Why stop in this moment the action?’

“Then I turned and said ‘I deserve to be booked’ because yes, I crossed the limit. I want to apologise because it is not a good image for me and for football, this type of behaviour.”
As for ignoring Guardiola, he added: “I want to apologise to him also. In this moment, I didn’t see him. I was only focused on the action. So I want to apologise to Pep also.”
But the Spaniard said: “It is not a problem. I don’t want to talk about that, it is fine. Everyone with the emotions, it happened to me sometimes.
“It’s fine, honestly. I don’t want you to misunderstand me, in the past it happened with Pochettino but its fine. Completely, completely fine.” More

In an interview with Prime Video, Aubameyang revealed that it was Barcelona that he was most fond of playing for during his playing career – despite only playing for them for six months.
That’s despite sensational stints at Borussia Dortmund and St. Etienne who are both known for their excellent atmospheres.
The forward also captained Arsenal during his time in North London.
In the interview with Amazon, the striker said: “I think I had the best six months of my career [at Barcelona]. I have never enjoyed playing football and going to training so much.

“I even went to training on my off days. This is to tell you, it was incredible.”
Arsenal fans will know that this is a pretty big deal for Aubameyang, given that he was stripped of his captaincy by Mikel Arteta due to his consistent lateness to training.
It was revealed in Arsenal’s All or Nothing documentary that Arteta had to fight to convince sporting director Edu to tear up the Gabon international’s contract due to his lax attitude.
In the doc, Arteta said: “I have everything documented, with the dates, the times, the conversations, how it happened, why it happened . . . because of if one day it’s needed.

“[Aubameyang] has been late, apart from all the [other] issues, many times.
“The club has got a tradition. When you get paid that much . . . ”
Edu wanted to keep the striker because of his goalscoring ability, but Arteta said letting him go was a matter of trust.
The Spaniard said: “You cannot measure trust.
“When that’s gone, it’s a really difficult point to get something back from.
“What happened . . . in the last ten years?
“In Spain, it is called ‘casa pepe’ . . . everyone does whatever he f*****g wants.”
The forward then joined Barcelona on a free, where he scored 13 goals and registered one assist in 14 games.

Man Utd and Liverpool handed major Kylian Mbappe transfer boost with Real Madrid move ‘at risk due to financial issues’

REAL MADRID have sparked a double red alert with claims they can’t afford to sign Kylian Mbappe.Manchester United and Liverpool have been monitoring the PSG striker’s situation as his contract expires next summer.

The Telegraph suggest “financial issues” have dented Real’s chances of recruiting their long-time top target.
Now Premier League giants, including Chelsea, might ponder launching a staggering offer for the France star in January.
Mbappe, 24, has already rejected a reported offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal worth around 1billion euros (£787m) in wages and a transfer fee close to 300m euros (£262m).
Back in July the pacy 73-cap hero was given two weeks to extend his current PSG deal – or be sold.

But he never signed – and instead was retained.
The French champions will hate risking losing Mbappe for free at the end of the season.
But Luis Enrique’s Ligue 1 leaders are also determined to mount a serious challenge for the Champions League.
And assuming they squeeze into the group stages, selling their star player in the January transfer window would put a huge dent in those ambitions.

Real have also denied holding talks with PSG over the ex-Monaco man.
In a dream world the Spanish giants would love to field Mbappe behind their £115m England midfielder Jude Bellingham.
But the club said in a statement: “Given information in the media about negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club, Real Madrid state that this information is categorically false.
“Negotiations have not taken place with a player who belongs to PSG.” More

Jurgen Klopp’s outfit had agreed a £110million deal with Brighton only for Caicedo to reject personal terms with them before Chelsea eventually completed the deal for a Premier League record of £115m.
After a tricky start Caicedo has settled into the Blues midfield, appearing 12 times so far this season under Mauricio Pochettino.
And he has now revealed how a phone call with Argentina World Cup winner and fellow Blues midfielder Enzo Fernandez convinced him to head to Stamford Bridge over Anfield.
Speaking on Sky Sport’s Big Interview alongside Fernandez, he said: “It was a nice chat. I mean, the fact that a world champion was phoning you, one of the best midfielders in the world.

“Receiving that call was very nice and he convinced me to come here.”
The 22-year-old continued: “He said it was a great club, that there are many young players, there was a togetherness here.
“I have always enjoyed the bond in a team because I think that, if there is that bond, we can deal with any situation we may face: pressure, everything. So, that’s what motivated me to come here.
“Now, I’m enjoying playing alongside him, in training as well, in rondos.

“We are always together. So, I’m very happy and I’m trying to do things better every day, as Enzo said, to be a good example for everyone at the club.”
Fernandez, who signed for Chelsea for £106m the January before Caicedo joined, is thankful that he was able to convince him to join.
He said: “I called and told him that he had to accept and come because Chelsea is a great and ambitious club.
“And I have to thank God for giving me the chance to play alongside him at Chelsea because we all know the great player he is, but he is also a fantastic person, so I’m thankful he chose Chelsea.”
The pair are likely to line up together against Manchester City tomorrow.

The Blues transfer strategy over the summer was to hoover up as much young talent as possible in a £400million splurge.
This outlay took Todd Boehly’s transfer investment to over £1billion in just one year of ownership.
And according to Moscardo he could have also been added to the list of names bought by the London club, but opted to stay put until the end of the Brazilian league’s season.
As quoted by The Standard, he said: “There was a proposal from Chelsea months ago, but I talk a lot with my agent and my parents and they try to give me as little information as possible.

“They say there is not long until the end of the season, they tell me to dedicate myself and do well, and that at the end of the season, there will be good things.”
According to ESPN that offer was worth around £18m.
Speaking after his side’s 1-1 draw with Atlético Mineiro on Thursday, he once again hinted at a transfer to the Premier League.
However, he said his focus was ensuring Corinthians did not fall into the relegation zone in the final few games of the season.

“He says: ‘Here your focus is on Corinthians’. Let’s wait for the season to end, there are still a few games to go, and we’ll see what we can do.
“Of course there’s interest from various clubs, I’ve also heard about it, there was strong interest from Chelsea a few months ago.
