Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 top-flight matches and has continued that red-hot form this term.
That led to him being linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs over the summer transfer window as both Manchester United and Chelsea chased his signature.
Despite that, he has kept his focus and added another six strikes to his Napoli tally this term despite a number of controversies.
Both the Premier League duo and rivals Arsenal were put on red alert after a controversial TikTok post left the player contemplating SUING his employers back in September.

The legendary striker joined the Premier League at the age of 20 as he signed for Bolton and a successful two-year stint led to Chelsea.
The now 45-year-old enjoyed six successful years at Stamford Bridge where he won two back-to-back Premier League titles as well as the League Cup in 2005 and amassed 78 goals in 263 appearances.
The Iceland legend moved to Barcelona in 2006 where he registered 19 goals and 10 assists in 114 games and spent three years at the Nou Camp where he also won the Treble in 2009.
The forward then underwent quite a nomadic career that saw him returning to England for Tottenham, Fulham, Stoke and former club Bolton.

The Icelandic hero also played for Monaco, AEK Athens, Cercle Brugge, Club Brugge, Cangzhou Mighty Lions, Molde and Pune City before his retirement in 2016.
Have you figured him out yet? Here’s one last clue: He picked up 26 goals in 88 caps for his country…
And it’s of course Eidur Gudjohnsen, who now sees his three sons following in his footsteps as they all play as strikers.
    Sveinn Aron Gudjohnsen
Sveinn Aron Gudjohnsen is Eidur’s oldest as he was born in 1998 when his dad had just moved to the UK.

Sveinn’s started out at Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy in 2006 when he moved to Catalonia alongside his father and the rest of the family.
Five years later the forward joined Spanish side Gava until 2015 when he moved back to Iceland for HK where his senior career kicked off.
After a short stint at Icelandic outfits Valur and Breidablik the 25-year-old moved to Italy in 2018 for Spezia, who sent him out on loan to Ravenna as well as Odense.
Sveinn has been plying his trade in Swedish club Elfsborg since 2021 and has amassed two goals in 20 caps for Iceland.

The 21-year-old then joined Sveinn in Gava for two years and his impressive performances led him to Espanyol as well as Real Madrid in 2018.
The forward managed to turn some heads in Madrid and was promoted to Real’s B team in 2021 where he amassed four goals in 21 matches.
However, Andri never made it to Los Blancos’ first team and was offloaded in 2022 to Swedish outfit Norrkoping, who sent him out on loan to Danish side Lyngby in August.
The striker never played for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, but has registered five goals in 18 senior appearances for Iceland.

However, the 17-year-old only lasted three years in Madrid before moving to Sweden for Malmo.
After a successful year in the Swedish giants’ youth set up, Daniel was called up to the senior squad where he has only played once, making his debut in June.

The forward is too young to play for Iceland but is currently part of the national team’s Under-19 side.

This has seen the exciting academy prospect handed only 106 minutes of action in the Premier League.
All of these minutes have come from seven appearances off the bench.
One of the 21-year-old’s main strengths is his versatility.
And this is something Hammers boss David Moyes may be looking to utilise.

According to Rudy Galetti, West Ham are looking to “make an attempt” to sign him in the January window.
The club are said to have asked for information on Maatsen’s availability.
Maatsen is able to play at left-back, left-wing and in central midfield.

West Ham are not the only club who have been linked with a move for the Dutchman.
Barcelona are said to be tracking Maatsen, which saw Chelsea reportedly trigger a one-year contract extension in the player’s contract to ward off the immediate interest.
His deal expires in June 2025, meaning Chelsea will have a decision to make on his future over the next two windows.
Chelsea had agreed to sell Maatsen to Burnley, where he was on loan in the Championship last season, on a loan deal with an obligation to buy for £31.5million in the summer.
However, the deal fell through because Maatsen was reportedly reluctant to seal a move to Turf Moor.
Other loan spells have seen Maatsen star for Charlton and Coventry after time in the youth set-ups of Dutch sides Feyenoord, Sparta Rotterdam and PSV. More

Why Mauricio Pochettino ‘did NOT want Cole Palmer at Chelsea’ as it’s revealed he ‘had to be persuaded to make transfer’

MAURICIO POCHETTINO was not keen on Chelsea signing Cole Palmer in the summer. The former Manchester City star has hit the ground running since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

He has scored four goals in 11 games – all from the penalty spot – and held his nerve to equalise in the last minute in the recent 4-4 draw with City.
Palmer, 21, earned his first call-up to the England senior team but Pochettino was reportedly unsure about signing the forward, according to the Daily Mail.
The Chelsea boss had to be persuaded to sanction Palmer’s transfer as he felt there were already enough attacking wide players in his squad.
The Blues had been linked to Michael Olise but were left with Palmer after the winger signed a new contract with Crystal Palace.

Pochettino was eventually persuaded to green-light the transfer by director of recruitment Joe Shields, the report claims.
Palmer will be hoping his performances for his club earn him a place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
Jamie Carragher believes he has a chance of making it up but believes it is a toss-up between Palmer and Gordon.
He said: “Now, Cole Palmer was in the last squad. He’s been outstanding since he went to Chelsea.

“Cole Palmer has actually superseded Gordon in terms of getting into the England squad.
“Which may be a little bit harsh or he might feel a little hard done by, Anthony Gordon, considering what he’s done for the national team in the summer.
“But, for me, if he continues how he’s going I think it could be a toss-up between him and Cole Palmer.” More
