      Real won 5-3 in a game played in Saudi Arabia but Kepa was accused of making a string of errors.
      He has played only one La Liga match for the European titans since early November and is now regarded as the ‘cup’ keeper.
      Ukrainian keeper Andriy Lunin has replaced Kepa in the starting line up and the mind of boss Carlo Ancelotti.
      Kepa is now growing anxious that he will not be granted a permanent move back to Spain when his loan expires at the end of the season.

      The world’s most expensive keeper made it public that he fancied quitting Chelsea for good when he signed the surprise temporary deal last summer – just a short time before the Premier League campaign kicked off.
      Injury has hampered his progress but the £72 million star has vowed to fight for his place.
      A source told SunSport: “He has been very unlucky. He got injured while playing his best. He loves Madrid and really wants to stay.
      “He will not give up.”

      Forgotten Chelsea star David Datro Fofana has loan transfer cancelled with European giants ‘plotting move’

      CHELSEA star David Datro Fofana has seen his Union Berlin loan terminated as he is linked with another move away from Stamford Bridge.The Ivorian striker, 21, scored twice in 17 appearances for the Bundesliga club after joining them in the summer.

      In October, the German outfit suspended him after he reacted angrily to being substituted during a Champions League clash with Napoli.
      Fofana, who joined Chelsea for £8million 12 months ago, snubbed a handshake from Union manager Urs Fischer for which the club issued him with a one-week ban.
      He later apologised for his actions.
      Now Chelsea have confirmed he has returned to West London, but he is expected to leave on loan again before the end of the month.

      Last week, it was reported Sevilla are keen to bring Fofana in for the rest of the campaign.
      The LaLiga side are down in 16th place in the Spanish top flight and have scored just 23 goals in 19 matches.
      Fofana made four appearances for Chelsea last season before being sent on loan in the summer.
      He bagged his first goal for Union in a 1-1 Champions League draw with Napoli in November.

      He finally got off the mark in the Bundesliga by scoring against Koln in the last game before the winter break last month.
      Fofana has been capped three times by the Ivory Coast but failed to make the cut for their Africa Cup of Nations squad.
      Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is still searching for a top-level striker to lead the line despite the Blues having spent £1billion over the last 18 months.
      Cole Palmer, Armando Broja and Nicolas Jackson have all been used up front in recent weeks.
      Chelsea sit 10th in the Premier League table, 12 points adrift of the top four.

      Hayes, whose side will face West Ham in the Women’s FA Cup on Sunday, says the Australia ace suffered the injury whilst practicing her shooting.
      The Chelsea gaffer told Sky Sports: “I’m gutted for her. I’m gutted for the team.
      “These things happen in football, she knows that.
      “I think the important thing is we’re here to support her. The recovery and the rehab begins today.

      “She did it doing a football action she does every day, turning and shooting. It’s something very simple and innocuous.”
      Since her January 2020 Blues debut Kerr has been a key players for the WSL leaders helping them win three WSL titles, three FA Cups and two Conti Cup trophies.
      This season the striker, who has been serving as a stand-in skipper for crocked club captain Millie Bright, notched up four goals in eight top-flight games
      And she scored five times in four Champions League matches.

      Chelsea vs Fulham preview
      It’s fair to say you still don’t really know what you’re getting with Chelsea these days.
      Three wins on the bounce – two in the league and an FA Cup victory over Preston – made it five wins from six games and another potential ‘season revival’.
      Then they go and lose to Middlesbrough in midweek in the first leg of a Carabao Cup semi final.
      There is a bit of steel surrounding them at home, though. That’s six wins from their last seven at home, with only that incredible 4-4 draw with Manchester City blighting their recent record (if you can call it that…)
      Fulham are in decent form themselves having beaten Arsenal before recording an FA Cup win over Rotherham last time out.
      They’re very much still in the hunt for a Carabao Cup final spot, losing their half time lead and going down 2-1 in the first leg at Liverpool.
      Marco Silva’s men can move a point behind their rivals if they secure a win at the Bridge.
      But history is against them, with Chelsea winning nine of the last 11 derbies this pair have contested.

      Fulham scored the opener at Anfield on Wednesday night to quiet the Reds in the first half.
      They can do so again here, having show their quality in attack against Arsenal recently too.
      Chelsea have only kept one clean sheet in their last six games, despite playing three bottom-half sides and two Championship clubs.

      Feisty
      There’s been 17 yellow cards in the last three competitive meetings between the sides.

      However, he could now be handed a Premier League lifeline by the Hammers, report talkSPORT.
      David Moyes’ side are tracking Chalobah this month ahead of a potential move before the window closes.

      Their interest is said to be dependant on Nayef Aguerd, though, who has been the subject of links to the Saudi Pro League.

      The former Chelsea and Manchester United star, 35, joined the Ligue 1 outfit in the summer after one season with Roma following his Old Trafford exit in 2022.
      The holding midfielder is yet to score for his new side but did get three assists in six Europa League group games – and has already served two suspensions for picking up seven Ligue 1 yellow cards.
      However, just six months and 13 league appearances into his spell with Rennes, it is said he has had enough.
      Matic has reportedly struggled to gel with his team-mates and there are complications regarding his children’s schooling.

      According to L’Equipe, Matic skipped training on Tuesday and has emptied his locker in the hope of finding a new club to enable an early exit from his two-year contract until 2025.
      The report adds that the Serbian is “unhappy at Rennes and pushing for an immediate departure” with it growing increasingly unlikely he will play for Rennes ever again.
      And it is thought the central midfielder is keen to sign for French rivals Lyon or head back to England, with several clubs apparently interested.
      L’Equipe add that successful talks have already taken place between Matic’s representatives and Lyon – but if Rennes did their heels in and refuse to let him leave then he may hang up his boots and quit football for good.

      Matic first joined Chelsea in 2009 but made just three first-team appearances then headed to Benfica before returning to Stamford Bridge in January 2014.
      In three-and-a-half seasons with the Blues he appeared 151 times and lifted two Premier League titles.
      The 48-cap international made the switch to United in 2017 but despite playing 189 times and the club reaching both the FA Cup and Europa League finals during his five seasons at Old Trafford, he could not add to his trophy cabinet.
      In December he launched a frank and stinging attack on the Red Devils – and singled out Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho for particular criticism.
      Matic said: “At Chelsea, players acted professionally.
      “They were punctual and were never late for training but at United it happened almost every day.
      “Among the players who would always be late were Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho and a couple of other players.
      “The rest of us who were always on time were angry so we decided to form a kind of an internal disciplinary committee with me serving as its president.

      There was more European heartbreak for Matic last season, too, as Jose Mourinho’s Roma lost to Sevilla in the Europa League final before his wretched Rennes move.

      Dortmund have a £2million deal in place to sign Maatsen on loan until the end of the season.
      Reports suggest the player will pen a new contract at Stamford Bridge to put Chelsea in a strong negotiating position amid talk of a permanent move in the summer.
      But Maatsen’s switch this month is on hold due to a little-known transfer rule.
      Clubs are allowed to loan out up to seven players to foreign sides at one time.

      Chelsea have already hit the maximum amount and they now must rip up a current deal to see Maatsen leave.
      Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Angelo Gabriel, Hakim Ziyech, David Datro Fofana, Gabriel Slonina and Diego Moriera are all on loan with clubs abroad.
      There has been rumours that Ziyech could see his spell end with Galatasaray after struggling with injuries and form.
      Meanwhile, Moriera has found it tough to get minutes at Lyon and is another recall option.

      Speculation also suggests that Fofana may see his time end at Union Berlin – but he would then be sent back out on loan to Sevilla.
      The maximum of seven foreign loans rule was put in place two years ago to stop teams stockpiling talent.
      Players are exempt from the regulation if they are both club-trained, meaning they have spent at least three years in the club’s youth academy, and are aged under 21.
      Maatsen is not spared from this rule because his 21st birthday came before the cut off at the end of last season.
      Chelsea have already been busy in the loan market this January, sending Alex Matos to Huddersfield and recalling Andrey Santos from his season at Nottingham Forest. More
