Chelsea are understood to be interested in signing him, while Arsenal have also been linked with the £80million striker.
Earlier this week, Bees boss Frank admitted that Toney will “likely” be sold this summer.
He told Danish magazine Tipsbladet: “It’s quite obvious that Toney will most likely be sold in the summer.
“It can be expensive to sell your best player, but on the other hand, I also know that by the summer, he’ll only have a year left on his contract with us.

“We also know what he’s worth. I don’t think there are many strikers in the world who are better than him right now.”
Toney was asked about the manager’s comments after Brentford’s 2-0 win over Wolves.
Speaking to BBC Sport, he responded: “I see that as he doesn’t want me!
“The manager has said what he’s said but I can’t make clubs come and get me.

The Bees clinched a crucial win over Wolves on Saturday.
Christian Norgaard opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark before Toney scored his third Premier League goal in four games to seal the win.

After the match, Frank said: “I am very happy. I’m so pleased and proud of the players, and especially their defensive urgency; I really loved the mentality and the determination.
“We know, when we are on it, we are one of the good defensive sides in the league, and we have lacked that level of consistency or urgency or whatever in too many games – it feels like it’s been three years since we had a clean sheet!
“The clean-sheet mentality was a big focus today. We spoke about it during the week, in training and in meetings, and, I know it sounds simple, but I said, ‘clean sheet and we’ll win the game’, because we’ll always score goals.
“I’m happy with the way we defended as a team: our principles, but also the 50/50 duels, closing down one-on-one situations, running hard to get under the ball, and good blocks. I was so pleased with that side of the game.” More

According to journalist Lluis Canut, the Dutchman is underwhelmed with Barcelona’s current state both on and off the pitch.
And for the first time since arriving at the Nou Camp in 2019 he is “no longer closing the door on leaving” the club.
Man Utd pushed to sign him in the summer of 2022, shortly after Erik ten Hag took over as manager.
Following extensive talks, Barcelona accepted a huge bid worth £71.5million, but De Jong rejected the move.

He completed the switch just one month after winning the World Cup with Argentina and signed an eight-and-a-half year contract upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
However, the midfielder is now understood to be open to a move away.
And according to Spanish outlet Sport, he wants to join Barcelona.
The La Liga giants consider Fernandez a top target, but their financial issues will likely prevent a deal from happening.

His current contract runs until 2032 so Barcelona would have to table a significant offer for Chelsea to even consider selling.
Recent reports have claimed that Fernandez is unhappy at Stamford Bridge, largely due to Chelsea’s poor run of form.
After finishing 12th in the Premier League table last season, the Blues have failed to make much progression.
They currently sit 11th, behind the likes of Wolves, Newcastle and Brighton.

But Fernandez appeared to squash the exit rumours on Wednesday during Chelsea’s FA Cup fourth round replay against Aston Villa.
After scoring a stunning free kick to put the Blues 3-0 up in the 54th minute, the midfielder held his shirt up to the cameras and pointed to his name.
Chelsea’s 3-1 FA Cup win at Aston Villa was the team’s best performance of the season, says Mauricio Pochettino
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino later said: “Today, Enzo showed why he’s here and he showed his quality.
“But we didn’t have any doubts about him, or about Caicedo or about different players, young players that arrived here with expectation to win titles and to score with every single touch!

“He is a world champion player. Look, when he signed one year ago, he arrived after nearly two years with no holidays, no rest, with the pressure, still young, different environment, different language, different culture, a team that needs time to build.
“All of these types of circumstance, you need time. I don’t want to annoy the people. For me, it’s not an excuse. I want to be here because I really believe in the project, I really believe in the player.
“But please, stop to create expectation that does match to the reality and help the players that are here to try and build something.
“Of course, if that happens again, we will be there to help. It does not surprise me because Enzo has the quality, not only to score this type of goal, but to perform in the way today he performed.” More

Graham Potter ‘lined up for stunning return to management’ with seven-time Champions League winners

GRAHAM POTTER has reportedly been lined up for a stunning return to management with Italian giants AC Milan. According to talkSPORT, AC Milan have the former Chelsea and Brighton boss on their shortlist to take over at the end of the season.

But Potter isn’t the only ex-Blues boss to be on the exclusive ‘shortlist’.
Italian Antonio Conte, also ten months out of work after being sacked by Tottenham last March, is suspected to be top of the list,
But being linked with such a prestigious club will be a shot in the arm for Potter’s job hunt.
Now 10 months on from getting the sack from Chelsea, the 48-year-old is still out of work and talkSPORT report he is keen on a return to the dugout as soon as possible.

SunSport exclusively revealed that Potter was in the frame for Manchester United amidst the uncertainty over Erik ten Hag’s position.
And the ex-Blue’s boss has also caught the eye of another big club.
It was reported only last month that the ex-Chelsea gaffer was eyeing a management return in Sweden.
He’s even splashed £1.75 million on a whopping mansion in Are, the country’s largest and most famous ski resort.

The imposing chalet was built 2021, and boasts of 360 square metres of living space and 800 sq/m of surrounding land.
Given Potter had just been linked with the Sweden’s national team job, the purchase of the pile gave rise to rumours that a return to Scandinavia was on the cards.
Chelsea fans turn on each other as Mauricio Pochettino is booed while arriving at Villa Park
Potter has a stellar reputation in Sweden, having spent seven years managing Ostersund, which incidentally is only an hour’s drive away from his new house.
Under his leadership, the minnows flew up from the fourth tier to the Allsvenskan top flight and winning the Swedish Cup and sensationally beating Arsenal at the Emirates in 2018.
Equally, the purchase of a chalet could be because Potter wants to go skiing when he has some time off – something he’s not short of given his recent 10-month spell on the bench.
After winning only 12 of the 31 games he oversaw at Chelsea, Potter’s reputation quickly dipped.
But seeing as Argentine Mauricio Pochettino is doing even worse than he was at this point of the season, his failure isn’t looking as much of a disaster as it once was.

Pochettino spoke out after the game and urged fans to lower the high expectations set out by Chelsea teams of the past.
He said: “We need to stop this thing that we are Chelsea from 20 years ago. We are not this type of Chelsea any more. Now we need to move on and we need to create this project.
“We need to move on, I don’t care if people are happy or not happy with my speech. I care for the club, I care for my players, I want to help the players.
“We are going to fight, I don’t care what the people say. I’m not more sad or happy today after a win because we have experience, this type of project needs time and trust.
“We cannot build a team to challenge because you need to fix too many things, you need to observe, analyse and compete.
“We are building a project which may be one year, two years, three years. Today you can see we were ready to fight.
“We fight for the fans, the badge, the coaching staff. Now the challenge is to be consistent.”

The Blues have been woeful in the league again this season under Mauricio Pochettino, sitting in 11th after successive heavy defeats to Liverpool and Wolves.
Pochettino’s role has come under increased scrutiny, although the fact he’s in the final of the Carabao Cup appears to be giving him time.
The Blues did beat Aston Villa 3-1 in their fourth round replay tonight – opening the prospect that Chelsea could go on concurrent domestic cup runs.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Villa, Drogba said: “I think they’ve got good strikers. I think it’s not an easy moment for the club, but they have my support and my trust because Chelsea is still Chelsea.

“Those kids, those young players, they came to Chelsea because we created a legacy and they want to be part of this legacy.

“Give them time and when they reach their peak, people will be like, ‘wow, this is the new generation, the best team Chelsea ever had!’
