Chelsea and Man City transfer target Mohamed Ihattaren given final warning by PSV over ‘unacceptable’ attitude

CHELSEA and Manchester City transfer target Mohamed Ihattaren is on his last chance at PSV Eindhoven due to “totally unacceptable” behaviour.
Ihattaren is one of the world’s most exciting young talents following a string of impressive displays for PSV, which landed him in the Guardian’s top 60 Next Generation talents list in 2019.

But manager Roger Schmidt is not pleased with the overconfident attacking midfielder’s attitude and warned him that he will be forced to drop him unless he falls in line.
Schmidt said: “It was totally unacceptable.
“It was impossible for me to include him in the group. Today he was able to see what is needed at his position.
“If he works as hard as Mario Gotze, Ryan Thomas, Mauro Junior, Cody Gakpo or Noni Madueke, things can work out. If not, it has no chance.

“It’s not a one-way street. Of course you have to support and help someone, but from the other side something also has to come back.
“Ultimately, it is always the same in life: you cannot change people, people can only change themselves.
“We tried to change him. It’s up to him now. It is also not always easy for young players. Hype quickly develops around them.

“Everyone is looking for these types of players. Everything is still possible, but we now have to change the style of aid.”

Ihattaren earned senior call-up at PSV in 2019 and has since made a whopping 70 appearances despite his young age of 19.
But reports suggest the £20million-rated wonderkid has always been too sure of himself and that appears to have landed him on hot water.
But that hasn’t stopped Chelsea and Man City from keeping tabs on the Netherlands under-19 ace, who can operate on the right wing or as a central midfielder.
Ihattaren, who has clocked up 25 appearances across all competitions this season, is also reportedly being monitored by Inter Milan as well as PSV’s rivals Ajax.

Chelsea star Fikayo Tomori wanted by AC Milan in permanent transfer as Maldini hints at trying to reduce £27m buy option

AC MILAN transfer chief Paolo Maldini has hinted at a permanent transfer bid for loan star Fikayo Tomori – at below the pre-agreed price.
Chelsea sent the English defender to the San Siro in January to gain first-team experience in the Serie A title race.

After Milan beat Roma 2-1 on Sunday, 23-year-old Tomori came in for huge praise in only his fifth start for the team.
And talk is already turning to Italian legend Maldini trying to land his signature permanently.
Chelsea accepted a purchase option reportedly worth £27m when sending Tomori on loan.
Speaking after the game, Milan technical director Maldini told Sky Sport Italia: “I am lucky enough to work for a club that, when we called, he answered.

“Milan has an effect on many players, even if we have not won at European level for 14 years.
“As for Fikayo, he has unique assets of speed, intensity, for us he was a possible reinforcement for the rest of the season.

“There is a very high price of purchase, we will evaluate whether to exercise it or not.

“From that point of view the situation is clear. We have weekly talks with the players whose deals are about to expire, including [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic.”
Frank Lampard promoted Tomori to the Chelsea first-team last season but he played just 26 games in 18 months before the loan switch.
The Premier League side hired Thomas Tuchel days later, with the German coach opting for a three-man backline that may offer the player a route into the side if he impresses in Italy.
Former England manager and Serie A icon Fabio Capello was one of many to praise the centre-back for his performance against Roma.
Tomori had been brought into the XI to replace club captain Alessio Romagnoli after two straight defeats knocked Milan off the top of the table.

Milan throughout history has always been built on defence, if you have a fast player then you’re in luck.
    Fabio Capello

The club sit second and four points behind Inter Milan, who are on a six-game winning run in the league.
Capello said of Tomori: “As a coach I always wanted a fast defender.
“Milan throughout history has always been built on defence, if you have a fast player then you’re in luck.
“A fast player is so important, his recovery in the first-half on Borja Mayoral was fantastic, without making a foul.”

Chelsea ‘given green light to sign Erling Haaland but Dortmund doubt striker wants Blues transfer with fee at £150m’

CHELSEA have reportedly been given the green light to sign Erling Haaland but Borussia Dortmund doubt he will fancy a move to the Blues.
Stamford Bridge chiefs are believed to have given new boss Thomas Tuchel the go-ahead when it comes to launching a bid for Haaland, according to Bild.

Haaland’s incredible goalscoring record of 43 goals in 43 games for Borussia Dortmund has put Europe’s top clubs on red alert.
The 20-year-old has a £65million release clause that comes into force in 2022.
But reports suggest any clubs that want to sign the striker this summer will have to pay £150m to land their man.
The report states Chelsea are prepared to cough up over £87m for the player amid talk Frank Lampard’s successor will be handed a £260m transfer warchest.

Tuchel could poach the prolific Norwegian striker from his old side Dortmund – just four years after a falling out saw him leave the German club.
The 47-year-old replaced Liverpool-bound Jurgen Klopp at Signal Iduna Park in 2015 and won the German Cup during his time at the helm.
But Bild suggests Tuchel would anger Dortmund chiefs Hans-Joachim Watzke – who sacked him in 2017 after saying he was ‘worn out’ from dealing with his antics – and Michael Zorc as well as the club’s fans if he was the man to lure their prized asset away.
Haaland was linked with TEN clubs that could afford him by his agent Mino Raiola.

BET OF THE DAY: GET HARRY KANE TO SCORE OR ASSIST VS BURNLEY AT HUGE 25/1

Four Premier League sides are thought to be in the frame with Manchester City and Manchester United heavily linked with the frontman.
Real Madrid is another possible destination with Los Blancos supposedly keen on a move if they fail to land PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe as they look to revamp their forward options.
Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta is promising to bring Haaland to the Nou Camp in a move which could see the Norwegian and Mbappe follow on from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s historic El Clasico GOAT rivalry.
Dortmund are believed to think Haaland would chose other clubs over Chelsea and he is certainly not short of options with a move potentially hastened if the Bundesliga side fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
On Thursday, sporting director Zorc said: “It is obvious to everyone that Erling will not switch to every club after his time at BVB.
“I don’t even get to ten. We are happy that we have Erling here and continue planning with him!”

Chelsea and Man City leading Erling Haaland transfer race this summer with Dortmund demanding £150m for striker

CHELSEA and Manchester City are the frontrunners for Erling Haaland’s signature this summer, according to reports.
The Borussia Dortmund hotshot has hit 27 goals in 25 games this season, including a recent scissor kick spectacular against Schalke.

A fee of around £150million is said to be required to prise the Norwegian from the Bundesliga club.
In 2022, a release clause worth £75m will activate but Europe’s top clubs may not wait for such a reduction.
According to Eurosport, Chelsea want to make a statement in the market to highlight their title ambitions under Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues are described as confident of their chances of signing Haaland, having made contact with senior figures in his camp.

A hefty £260m transfer kitty is reportedly being readied for Tuchel to produce the club’s first serious challenge since Antonio Conte won the Premier League in 2017.
Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule and AC Milan’s Franck Kessie have also been linked, with Haaland increasingly seen as the priority target.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are named as the main challenger for the 20-year-old striker.
Sergio Aguero could leave the Etihad in the next 18 months, or sooner if the 32-year-old fails to earn a new contract.

Real Madrid and Manchester United are two other clubs touted for a Haaland bid.
If a move for Kylian Mbappe fails, the LaLiga giants could turn to the Borussia star to revamp their frontline.
While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to sign his old Molde prodigy before he joined Dortmund, with a defender reportedly United’s priority when the market re-opens.

How Chelsea could line-up with £260m transfer warchest handed to Thomas Tuchel starting with Dortmund hot shot Haaland

ROMAN ABRAMOVICH has reportedly become tired of Chelsea’s third year without a title challenge – and will pay big bucks to end his wait.
Thomas Tuchel could be handed a warchest topping £260million to build a team capable of winning trophies again.

The Blues won nothing last year and could go empty handed again while 16 points off the top of the Premier League.
Russian billionaire Abramovich threw £230m at the team ahead of this season, having actually made money in 2019 due to a transfer ban.
But Frank Lampard was unable to put together a worthy run of form and was replaced by Tuchel last month.
A promising start by the German has raised hopes of at least qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

However, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Abramovich will make £260m available for transfers even if Chelsea miss out on the top-four.
Top of the list is said to be Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
The striker will be available for just £75m when a release clause becomes active in 2022, with a fee worth double that reportedly required for a move this summer.
Borussia’s own difficulties in qualifying for the Champions League could impact the Norwegian’s future, although the club are said to value him as the one asset they are desperate to keep.

Many of the other players linked to the Blues at this stage are defensively-minded.
Bayern Munich centre-back Niklas Sule has been the subject of initial contact by Chelsea, according to Todo Fichajes.
The 25-year-old will have just a year left to run on his contract when the window opens and, although talks are planned, he could be going for just £26m.
Franck Kessie could also be brought in with the AC Milan midfielder reportedly considered in the deal to send Fikayo Tomori to the Italian club.
Like Sule, the Ivorian’s contract expires in 2022 and that could open the door to a move after the Stamford Bridge side missed out on David Alaba.
And, between the posts, Tuchel is said to be considering dumping Lampard acquisition Edouard Mendy in favour of a new goalkeeper.

Manchester United’s Dean Henderson has been linked, as has Atletico Madrid’ star Jan Oblak.
The Slovenian recently admitted that the Premier League remains ‘attractive’ to him with Atletico Madrid one of many teams struggling financially due to the pandemic.
The quartet would fit convincingly into Tuchel’s 3-4-2-1 style, with Haaland slotting in up top and Kessie an alternative to N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.

Tammy Abraham ‘not interested in talks over new Chelsea contract while club plot blockbuster Erling Haaland transfer

TAMMY ABRAHAM is not interested in negotiating a new Chelsea deal while the club plot a blockbuster move for Erling Haaland, according to reports.
The Athletic claims sources suggest England forward Abraham is not keen to discuss an extension while the Blues eye up Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland.

Chelsea have made the prolific Norwegian striker a priority signing which could imply 23-year-old Abraham – who has two years left on his deal – can not be certain of his long-term future at the club.
The report states Abraham wants to lead the line for club and country and is already in competition with Olivier Giroud for a spot in the starting XI.
Haaland, 20, has bagged 43 goals in 43 games for Dortmund and is being chased by a host of European giants.
But the West Londoners are reportedly ‘quietly’ confident they will be able to lure the former RB Salzburg star to Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are said to be preparing to blindside Prem rivals Manchester United with a bid for Haaland before his £65million release clause activates.
The clause comes into play in 2022 but Eurosport claims the Blues are making progress behind the scenes as they try and convince Haaland to pledge his future with them.
Owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to hand his new German boss a £260m transfer war chest this summer.
That is despite the Russian bankrolling a massive £230m worth of transfers before the start of this season.

BET OF THE DAY: BEST PRICES ON THE MARKET FOR PREMIER LEAGUE AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ACTION

The money is earmarked for the headline signing of Haaland who it is hoped can transform Chelsea into title contenders.
Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola revealed he expects FOUR English clubs to scramble for his signature.
Both Manchester sides and Liverpool have also been linked with a move that will cost over £100m this summer.
Raiola believes Haaland can succeed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become one of the next big superstars of world football.

It’s like saying: ‘Is there a Formula 1 team who would not be interested in having Lewis Hamilton?'”
    Mino Raiolaon Erling Haaland

Raiola told the BBC: “It’s obvious there are only a maximum of ten clubs that can afford to buy him.
“We can fill in four of those clubs – and four of those clubs are in England. You can call them and say ‘would you be interested?’
“There is not a sporting director or trainer in the world that would say he would be not be interested.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel ‘set to be handed £260m transfer summer warchest by Roman Abramovich to land Haaland and Co’

THOMAS TUCHEL is set to be handed a £260million transfer warchest by Roman Abramovich this summer, according to reports.
And that could see the Chelsea boss go all out to land Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.

Thomas Tuchel could have up to £260m at his disposal for transfers this summerCredit: Getty Images – Getty

According to Tutto Mercato, the huge fund will be available to Tuchel regardless of whether he secures Champions League football at Stamford Bridge next season.
Abramovich bankrolled a whopping £230m spending splurge last summer as the Blues signed Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Edouard Mendy to revamp the squad.
But the Russian billionaire – who has recently splashed out £430m on another new yacht – appears prepared to stump up yet more cash to help his club challenge among Europe’s elite once again.
The No1 priority will be Haaland.

He has a £65m release clause which takes effect in his Dortmund contract in the summer of 2022.
But Abramovich is thought to be keen to steal a march on his competitors – namely Barcelona, Real Madrid and the two Manchester clubs – by making a move this summer instead.
The report suggests he will essentially write a blank cheque to ensure Chelsea sign Haaland, regardless of the price.
Norway’s red-hot striker has scored a phenomenal 43 goals in 43 appearances since moving to the Bundesliga side from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.

However, with £260m at Tuchel’s disposal, he will no doubt have plenty of spare cash even if Haaland does arrive in West London.
Despite Mendy’s impressive performances between the sticks this term, the Blues have been linked with fellow goalkeepers Jan Oblak and Dean Henderson in recent weeks.
A new centre-back also seems to be high on the wish list with RB Leipzig man Ibrahima Konate and Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule both targeted.
David Alaba is yet to confirm his next move once he leaves Bayern for free – but despite Antonio Rudiger’s best efforts, he looks set to head to the Bernabeu on £400,000 per week.
Bids could also go in for AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and Tuchel’s former Dortmund winger Jonas Hofmann – now at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Chelsea ‘agent’ Antonio Rudiger confirms he has made contact with David Alaba as he sets off on ANOTHER scouting mission

CHELSEA’S secret transfer weapon is at it again – with Blues defender Antonio Rudiger admitting he is trying to lure Bayern Munich’s David Alaba to Stamford Bridge.
He was branded ‘agent Rudiger’ by fans after admitting he chatted to Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to help secure their moves in the summer – with Alaba his latest target.

David Alaba has confirmed he is leaving Bayern Munich this summer

The Bayern star has confirmed he is leaving the Allianz Arena after 11 years this summer with Real Madrid favourites to secure his signature.
Alaba wants an eye-watering £400,000-a-week at his new club after growing frustrated with the German champions’ low-ball offers to stay.
Real Madrid are desperate to secure a Sergio Ramos replacement with the Spain captain the subject of a similar contract dispute, but Chelsea’s trump card could be Rudiger’s involvement.
Rudiger told Bild he has already been in contact with the Austrian as he plots his next move, while also revealing he is ready to chat to Jerome Boateng and Niklas Sule if moves for them materialise.

Alaba confirmed his Bayern exit this week, saying: “I have decided to do something new. It wasn’t an easy decision. I have not yet made the decision where to go.
“I have personally decided to see something new, to look for a new challenge. That certainly took its time.”
BETS OF THE DAY: GET MAN CITY AT 6/1 TO WIN TONIGHT – PLUS RONALDO TO SCORE 2+ GOALS BOOSTED

Antonio Rudiger has paved the way for several stars to come to Chelsea

He joined the Bundesliga giants as a youth player and is on course to win an incredible tenth league title in Bavaria before leaving for pastures new.

He added: “It’s no secret that my agent is negotiating with other clubs. I am looking for a new challenge to develop myself as a person on and off the pitch.
“Where can I continue to play football successfully? That will certainly be important in my decision.”
Rudiger has found himself back in favour at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel after slipping down the pecking order with former boss Frank Lampard.

However, the German star said leaving Stamford Bridge was never on his radar during his spell on the sidelines.
He told Sky Sports: “I’m a competitor, I want to play. Obviously it is frustrating and it was the first time in my career I had this type of situation.
“Inside myself, I was always calm and relaxed, I’ll be very honest. I was not going crazy because I was not playing at the beginning and when you’re not in the squad, you think ‘oh wow, what’s happening?’
“But then suddenly I was back in the team. From that moment on, my head was “I’m staying here at Chelsea and trying to fight for my spot”. In the last games of Frank Lampard, I was featuring even more. Lampard in or out, I would have stayed anyway.”
