However Miazga, 25, has since made just two senior appearances – both in April 2016.
The centre-back shone during an 18-month loan at Reading, and has also been loaned to Vitesse Arnhem, Nantes and Anderlecht.
Miazga’s Chelsea contract is up this summer, and he hopes Belgians Anderlecht will hand him a new deal after impressing for Vincent Kompany’s side.
Miazga said: “I can’t say anything for sure about whether I will be with Anderlecht next season.
“But what I can say is that I don’t expect to get an extension at Chelsea.
“It hasn’t happened for me there. But, listen, I would do it all again given the chance.
“I have lots of respect for Chelsea, and learned a hell of a lot with them.

Andreas Christensen insists he wants to stay at Chelsea ‘for the long run’ but admits he is not in talks over new deal

The 25-year-old has spent the best part of a decade at Stamford Bridge and is keen to continue his time at his ‘second home’ in West London if the opportunity arises.
Christensen – who is contracted until 2022 – told the club’s website: “I’ve shown that I’m here for the long run.
“I’ve been here almost nine, ten years now.
“I’ve never doubted my decision [to come to Chelsea] and I’ve always been here for the long run.
“I accept that the club sometimes changes managers, and that can make it hard to always be in the team.
“After the loan spell [at Borussia Monchengladbach] I came back and played a good amount and since then it’s been a bit in and out, but it’s nice at the moment to play back-to-back games and my confidence is growing with each game.
“There have not been any talks [on a contract extension] yet, but like I said, I’m in this for the long run and I always have been.
“I feel like this is my second home. Denmark will always be my home, but Chelsea will always be my place.”

Christensen has helped Chelsea reach this season’s FA Cup final after they ended Manchester City’s quadruple dreams in the last four at Wembley.
And the Dane started the Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid that finished 1-1 on Tuesday.
The Blues bagged a crucial away goal thanks to Christian Pulisic’s cool finish but it could have been even better in the Spanish capital if Timo Werner had not missed another sitter.
Even Thiago Silva’s wife had a pop at the misfiring German as his tame shot from just a few yards out was saved by the legs of former Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois who appeared to mock the effort with Olivier Giroud in the tunnel.
If Christensen and Co can keep a clean sheet in the return leg at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday then the Blues will reach their first Champions League final since they won the competition in 2012.
Christensen is set to continue his run in the team in the West London derby against Fulham on Saturday but skipper Cesar Azpilicueta and England star Ben Chilwell could be rotated out at the back.

Chelsea put Aston Villa on transfer alert with Tammy Abraham available for £40m fee after falling out of Tuchel’s plans

CHELSEA striker Tammy Abraham is being heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa amid reports the Blues are willing to sell him for £40million.The 23-year-old has started just four games since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard at the end of January.

And the German’s reluctance to play Abraham has led to widespread speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Mirror, Chelsea are willing to accept an offer of £40m from Aston Villa for the young striker.
Abraham scored 26 goals in 40 games for Dean Smith’s side during his loan spell with the club during their 2018-19 campaign in the Championship.
Villa then inquired about signing him permanently when they were promoted back to the Premier League, but Chelsea were not willing to sell.
Now though, circumstances seem to have changed as Tuchel has chosen instead to pick the likes of Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic to lead the line.
Abraham, who is under contract with the London club until 2023, had netted 11 goals this season under Lampard before his reign as boss came to an end early in 2021.
The England striker was Chelsea’s top scorer in the league when the club decided to go with a new manager.
But since then opportunities have been few and far between as he has only managed to find the net once following Tuchel’s arrival.

Abraham would also provide striker Ollie Watkins with some much-needed competition for places within the Villa squad.
The Midlands club have been going through a dreadful run of form since talisman Jack Grealish suffered a shinbone injury.
Smith’s side have managed just two Premier League wins in their last ten games, dropping from eighth place into the bottom half of the table.

Olivier Giroud set to quit Chelsea by not renewing contract and will be available on free transfer this summer

OLIVIER GIROUD is reportedly set to depart Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer as he is reluctant to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge. The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and while the Blues would be open to extending his stay, the striker is claimed to be close to departing.
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly poised to leave at the end of the seasonCredit: Getty
According to Goal, the French World Cup winner is unlikely to sign a new deal in West London after falling down the pecking order.
Giroud – who has started just eight Premier League matches this term – has played just once in the top-flight since the 0-0 draw against Manchester United in February.
And it has been said that the ex-Arsenal ace is considering his options regarding his next club as he looks for regular game time.
Should Giroud remain at Chelsea, he would have to settle for another bit-part role, something he is unwilling to do at his age.
Despite playing second fiddle to the likes of Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham, the former Montpellier star has still chipped in with 11 goals in all competitions.
Giroud is likely to have no shortage of admirers, having been close to leaving the Champions League semi-finalists in recent windows.
Juventus were keen to snap him up in January, but it is understood that he was not happy about the length of contract the Old Lady were offering.
Roma also were believed to be interested earlier this year, while their rivals Lazio almost lured him away from England last summer.

But a move failed to materialise after Chelsea couldn’t find a replacement for Giroud.
In an interview with Tuttosport, his Italian representative Vincenzo Morabito said: “Giroud was one step away from Lazio a year ago.
“If Napoli had sold [Dries] Mertens to Chelsea, the Frenchman would have become Biancoceleste.”
Giroud joined Chelsea from the Gunners in January 2018, where he has scored 39 goals in 115 matches.

Chelsea line up £90m Romelu Lukaku return as Blues accept defeat in Erling Haaland transfer pursuit

CHELSEA will step up plans to re-sign Romelu Lukaku in a £90million-plus deal.Inter Milan’s star is seen as the most achievable of boss Thomas Tuchel’s targets.
Thomas Tuchel wants Romelu Lukaku to lead the line for Chelsea next season after the Blues accept defeat in the chase for Erling HaalandCredit: Getty
Lukaku is on a list that includes Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, but the young Norwegian star looks out of reach with Manchester City in pursuit.
So the Blues are turning to a player with proven Premier League experience, firstly with them seven years ago, followed by spells at West Brom, on loan, Everton and Manchester United.
Chelsea believe they need a strong centre-forward to lead the team next season.
And frustration with current striker Timo Werner is also growing after Tuesday’s 1-1 Champions League semi-final first-leg draw at Real Madrid.
The German, 25, missed a golden chance to score, just like he did at West Ham three days earlier.
And the £48m forward is failing to convince Tuchel he is the man to spearhead Chelsea’s attack for the next few years.
At 27, Lukaku is at his peak.
He has scored 27 goals for Inter this term and is considered mentally strong enough to handle leading the line for a club like Chelsea next season.

Tammy Abraham, 23, failed to persuade Tuchel he is what Chelsea needs, despite being top scorer with 12 goals this season.

Sevilla ‘willing to sell Jules Kounde to Chelsea ahead of Man Utd if they include Hakim Ziyech in swap transfer’

A strong second season with Sevilla has helped put the LaLiga club in position for an unlikely late title challenge.
And Manchester United are said to be monitoring the player, along with Chelsea.
Spanish outlet El Gol Digital have claimed that Ziyech could be key to unlocking the deal.
Selling the midfielder as part of Kounde’s move to West London could reportedly chop 50 per cent off the transfer fee.
Ziyech has been a long-term target of the Andalusians since breaking out with Ajax and has not made himself a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge.
Both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel have used the Moroccan sparingly, awarding him only 13 starts in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old came on as a substitute in Tuesday’s draw at Real Madrid, as he did during the weekend match against West Ham.
Sevilla reportedly want £52million for 22-year-old Kounde.

It is said that including Ziyech in the deal would still mean paying £26m for the centre-back, even though he cost Chelsea £33m when signing last year.
Tuchel is said to be plotting a huge summer spending spree to build a squad capable of winning the Prem title.
Madrid defender Raphael Varane and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland are just two of the big names linked with the club.

And the Swede, now 39 years old, has been a revelation since beginning his second spell at AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic has scored 28 goals in 45 games for the club, including 15 in 17 Serie A matches this season.
And that form has earned him another campaign playing at the highest level with the European giants.
Ibrahimovic said “the saga continues” as he announced his new deal on Instagram.
It is thought the former Manchester United striker will be on a salary of around £6million.
Meanwhile, a contract situation which remains unresolved at Milan is that of 22-year-old keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The former wonderkid made his debut at the tender age of just 16 and has been Milan’s first choice keeper ever since.
In six seasons with the senior team, the giant Italian has played 245 times for the club.
But with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign, Milan are desperate to tie him down to a new deal to ensure he does not leave on a free.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the shot-stopper as boss Thomas Tuchel prepares for his first window as Blues manager.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, the world’s most expensive in that position at £71.6million, isn’t even first choice for the Blues.
And summer arrival Edouard Mendy has had a few shaky moments between the sticks during his first Premier League season.
However, Chelsea will have to cough up wages of £175,000-a-week to lure Donnarumma to Stamford Bridge.
AC Milan currently sit second in Serie A, ten points off table toppers and fierce rivals Inter with just six games remaining.

Leeds enter Nicolas Tagliafico transfer race with Chelsea and Man City also chasing £17.5m left-back

LEEDS have joined the chase for Ajax left back Nicolas Tagliafico. The Dutch side are resigned to losing the Argentina international this summer and sources in Holland suggest he could cost as little as £17.5million.
Nicolas Tagliafico is being targeted by LeedsCredit: Getty
Tagliafico, 28, has two years left on his current contract but is believed to have an agreement with Ajax that he can leave.
The defender was linked with a move last summer, with Chelsea and Manchester City mentioned as possible destinations.
Tottenham were also linked with the ace when compatriot Mauricio Pochettino was in charge in 2019.
Uncertainty caused by the pandemic hampered plans in 2020 but Leeds are among the clubs ready to move for Tagliafico after the season ends.
The left-back position is an area where boss Marcelo Bielsa wants to strengthen.
Ezgjan Alioski, in theory a winger, has done a decent job on that flank of the defence this season.

Liverpool boast the most-valuable squad in the Premier League

But Bielsa wants a specialist and Tagliafico, with his hard-running style and technical ability, would fit well into Leeds’ system.
The player himself responded favourably to reports last week from Italy that Inter Milan were interested in him.
Former Inter and Argentina star Javier Zanetti was his childhood hero but the Italian club’s financial issues will restrict their power in the transfer market.
