The star striker’s impressive performances has led to interest from some of Europe’s top hitters.
Among those keeping tabs on the Belgium international are Chelsea, with the Blues on the lookout for a centre-forward as Timo Werner failed to convince in his maiden season at Stamford Bridge.
However, the 28-year-old downplayed a potential comeback as he admitted he had a hard time in west London.
The Belgian star has also expressed his desire to stay at Inter despite their financial difficulties.

Lukaku told HLN when asked to choose between his current employers and the Blues: “Inter. Inter. I have won a title with Inter.
“That was a childhood dream too. At one team I had success, at the other one it was a failure.”
Lukaku joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2011 and spent three years in the Blues’ books, two of which saw him getting loaned out to West Brom and Everton who signed him on a permanent deal in 2014.
The former Manchester United star was frustrated with the lack of opportunities he got in London since his arrival when Andre Villas-Boas was in charge.

Lukaku previously told Het Laatste Nieuws: “[Roberto] Di Matteo told me that I would stay with the group until after the final.
“He thought everyone should come along, including the ones who were suspended and the few boys who were not in the Champions League squad.
“I am also grateful to him for that. This win is one of the things I’ve always dreamed about.
“You want to celebrate something like that with the team at that time. That is nice in itself at the age of 19.
“I am happy for the whole club, but there is one man who took a lot from me: the previous trainer [Villas-Boas]. I will never forgive him for that.”

Rudiger ‘considering quitting Chelsea in free transfer next summer as he pushes to be one of top 10 earners at club’

CHELSEA ace Antonio Rudiger is considering leaving next year as a free agent unless he is offered a better deal.Rudiger joined the Blues from Roma in 2017 and quickly turned into one of the team’s key figures in defence but his current contract runs out on June 2022.
Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger is consider leaving the BluesCredit: Times Newspapers Ltd
According to The Athletic, the star centre-back is in no rush to discuss his future at Stamford Bridge because he wishes to focus on Euro 2020 where he represents Germany.
But the 28-year-old also understands that whatever contract he signs next will probably be his career’s last big one.
Therefore, the Germany international wants a four-year deal that would make him one of Chelsea’s top 10 earners.
Rudiger is currently outside the top 10 even though he has played a major role in the Blues’ recent success.

The German was part of the team that won the FA Cup in 2018, the Europa League a year later and the Champions League in May.
Throughout his four-year stint in west London, Rudiger has seen a number of new players arrive and get paid significantly more than him.
This doesn’t seem to be sitting well with the former Stuttgart ace, who is also among Chelsea’s leaders in the dressing room.

Thomas Tuchel to include Chelsea stars in improved Achraf Hakimi deal as Inter reject £56m transfer bid

THOMAS TUCHEL wants £70million-rated Achraf Hakimi as his first Chelsea signing. And to spice it up he will battle former club Paris Saint-Germain for Inter Milan’s sought-after Moroccan full-back.

Champions League winners Chelsea and PSG have both had bids of around £56m rejected by the Italian champs, who are battling debts.
The Blues may now look to swing the deal their way by offering players in part-exchange.
Left-back Emerson Palmieri has been a long-time target for Inter and came close to joining them several times when they were managed by ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Tuchel admitted he wants ‘two or three’ new players this summer to freshen things up and ‘challenge our ideas in training’.
The financial fallout from Covid and a £220m transfer spree last summer will rein in Chelsea’s spending.
But they will still go all out to land one or two marquee stars and flex their muscles as the new kings of Europe.
The Blues are among the clutch of top clubs chasing Borussia Dortmund’s superstar striker Erling Haaland — but the Bundesliga side are adamant the Norwegian will not be leaving this summer.
And Tuchel is playing catch-up to PSG in the battle for Hakimi, who won the Serie A title in his first season with Inter following a £36m move from Real Madrid.

Sources in Italy claim the French giants are still favourites to land the player, despite Chelsea’s late entry and their new status as Europe’s top team.
Hakimi, 22, can operate at right-back or wing-back and Tuchel maybe sees Reece James playing inside Hakimi as the right-sided central defender in the future.
That would also suggest he could be open to letting Danish centre-half Andreas Christensen also join Inter to bring the price down.

Chelsea ‘match PSG’s £56m Achraf Hakimi transfer bid but Inter Milan holding out for £69m’

CHELSEA have reportedly matched Paris Saint-Germain’s £56million offer for Inter Milan wing-back Achraf Hakimi. The Serie A champions are surprisingly looking to sell one of their stars of last season to raise much-needed funds.

But Inter are believed to want nearer £69m for the player they paid £36m for from Real Madrid last summer.
Sky Italy is reporting that the Italian giants could choose to work with Chelsea on the deal as they fancy taking Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen in return.
The Londoners are keen to ship out Palmieri, having fallen down the pecking order behind Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso on the left-side of defence.
Hakimi, 22, is predominantly right-sided, so would provide competition for England star Reece James.
But he has been utilised on the left too.
The Moroccan scored seven goals and bagged 10 assists as Inter coasted to the Serie A title last season.
His two years on loan at Borussia Dortmund tempted Inter to splash the cash – and they look set for a healthy return.
PSG thought they were well on their way to securing the versatile star – but now Chelsea and boss Thomas Tuchel is ready to gazump the deal.

Chelsea ‘open to selling Callum Hudson-Odoi’ after Bayern Munich renew transfer interest in winger

CHELSEA are open to selling Callum Hudson-Odoi with Bayern Munich set to renew their interest, reports say. The winger was heavily linked with the German giants in 2019, as Bayern made four bids of up to £35million.

Hudson-Odoi, a product of the Blues academy, stayed and later signed a bumper five-year deal, with three years remaining on his contract.
But now according to The Times, Chelsea are prepared to listen to offers for the promising forward.
That is despite manager Thomas Tuchel being an admirer of the England international.
Tuchel has played Hudson-Odoi in a variety of positions both out wide and through the middle, including a role at right wing-back.
He finished the season with 37 appearances and five goals, two of which in the Champions League campaign which Chelsea eventually won.
But Tuchel has alternative options out wide in Christian Pulisic, 22, Hakim Ziyech, 28, Mason Mount, 22, Timo Werner, 25, and Kai Havertz, 21.
The German is said to be prioritising bolstering his options in defence, midfield and up front with a star striker eyed.
Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, 20, remains a favourite but could cost up to £172m.

Further reports in The Times have said Chelsea could include unfavored forward Tammy Abraham, 23, in a deal for Haaland.

Maurizio Sarri set to raid Chelsea for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marcos Alonso once confirmed as new Lazio boss

RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK and Marcos Alonso are reportedly being lined up by former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri for a move to Lazio. Both players were regulars during the Italian’s single season at Stamford Bridge but have not been guaranteed a starting spot since.

A bad heel injury ended Loftus-Cheek’s 2018-19 campaign before the Europa League final win over Arsenal, after a career-high 40 appearances during the season.
Alonso played 39 times but was subsequently outcast by Frank Lampard, only to be brought back in having suited Thomas Tuchel’s 3-4-2-1 system.
According to Calciomercato, the full-back position is the first priority for Sarri when he completes his anticipated move to Lazio.
The coach is said to see Alonso, 30, as a top target but the financial aspects of the deal have not yet been revealed.
A bid for Loftus-Cheek would initially be on a loan basis, as reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
But, like Fikayo Tomori’s switch to AC Milan, Lazio reportedly want to agree an option to buy the midfielder permanently at the end of next season.
The 25-year-old spent 2020-21 on loan at Fulham and SunSport understand Southampton are also keen on his services.
Much will depend on Thomas Tuchel’s plan both Loftus-Cheek and Alonso ahead of a potentially busy summer in the transfer market.

Erling Haaland and Harry Kane are both touted as Chelsea targets and players may need to be sold to fund a mega signing.
Meanwhile, ex-Blues boss Sarri is due to sign a two-year deal with Serie A side Lazio imminently.
Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj, who the 62-year-old brought with him from Empoli to the San Paolo in 2015, is out of contract and another target.

Chelsea undertaking ‘intense’ work to reach transfer deal with Erling Haaland, says ex-Norway striker Jan Aage Fjortoft

CHELSEA are hard at work formulating a deal to sign Erling Haaland, according to reports.Thomas Tuchel has delivered the Champions League to Stamford Bridge and is being given a huge transfer fund to plot a Premier League title bid.

A new striker is among their targets with Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane joining Haaland in being linked with the Blues.
According to former Norway striker turned pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, the Borussia Dortmund star is the number one priority.
Chelsea are working ‘intensely’ to beat Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City to the 20-year-old, it is said.
However, Haaland’s wage demands are reportedly the biggest stumbling block in the deal.
It had already been noted that Borussia may demand as much as £172million for their star forward – yet Fjortoft insists the Prem giants are confident of working around that.
Instead, the Chelsea wage structure may end up being blown apart if the club is not careful in personal terms negotiations with the Norwegian’s agent, Mino Raiola.

SunSport revealed earlier this year that Haaland may cost £600,000-a-week in wages, on a five-year contract which would surpass £150m on its own.
Any prospective buyer may have to wait until next summer to complete a deal, when his release clause is rumoured to drop to £63m.
And the marksman appears to be in no rush to leave Germany having smashed 41 goals in 2020-21.
Haaland recently told NENT: “I have a contract for a couple of fine years, so I am respectful towards my contract.”

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Milan are triggering a clause in Tomori’s loan deal to sign the player permanently.
The fee for the English defender is believed to be €28.5million – around £24.5m.
The 23-year-old is believed to have agreed a five-year deal at the San Siro with the deal expected to be announced next week.
Tomori has done well for Milan since moving on loan in January, making 17 Serie A appearances to help them finish second – their best since 2012 – and qualify for the Champions League.
He joined Chelsea as a seven-year-old and worked his way up through the ranks, impressing on loan in the Championship with Brighton, Hull and Derby.
Tomori played under Frank Lampard at the latter club, winning their player of the year award and helping the Rams reach the Champioship play-off final.

He returned to Chelsea ahead of the 2019-20 season when Lampard was appointed Blues manager, making 15 Premier League appearances that season.
But Tamori lost his place in the team at the beginning of this campaign after the West London side signed experienced defender Thaigo Silva.
He appeared just once in the Premier League before swapping Stamford Bridge for the San Siro.

And the youngster’s decision to allegedly join Milan permanently may have something to do with Silva signing a new one-year contract with the Blues.
Striker Olivier Giroud has also signed a new one-year deal and manager Thomas Tuchel has put pen to paper for another two years.
But goalkeeper Willy Caballero and Jamal Blackman will leave the club at the end of this month when their contracts expire.
