They claim that if the 20-year-old prodigy seals a switch away from the Bridge the Blues will need cover to replace him.
And rather than source new talent, The Guardian allege that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel wants to assess Loftus-Cheek and Bakayoko in pre-season training.
If happy with the pair, Tuchel may reinstate them to his squad for the new Premier League season.
Both stars have spent time on loan away from the Champions League winners over the past few seasons.
Loftus-Cheek was at Fulham last term where he endured a difficult campaign, scoring just once as the Whites were relegated.
The 25-year-old midfielder has recently been liked with a move to Italy to jump-start his career.
Ex-Blues boss Maurizio Sarri was said to be interested in bringing him to Lazio.
And this week it was rumoured that Chelsea wanted to add him to a five-player package swap for Inter Milan star Achraf Hakimi.

Bakayoko has hardly played for the Blues since joining for £40million from Monaco in 2017.
The Frenchman returned to his former club on loan and also with AC Milan.
He seemed to have found his feet at Napoli last season where his brother and agent Abdoulaye claims he wants to remain in the near future.

But as the Serie A side haven’t put in a formal bid for Bakayoko, it had been reported that Atletico Madrid planned to swoop in for the box-to-box midfielder.
SunSport revealed that the Blues were reportedly willing to do business with Atletico and take a £25m loss on Bakayoko.
The report suggests that the Spanish champions were going to offer £15.3m for the 26-year-old which the West London outfit would’ve pocketed.

Arsenal are also interested but boss Mikel Arteta has set his sights on Brighton’s Ben White.
Thomas Tuchel is eager to land a new central defender this summer with Thiago Silva turning 37 in September.
Kounde remains top of his shortlist and ABC Sevilla write how the Blues have made their move.
Sevilla won’t let their key asset leave on the cheap having slapped a £55million price-tag on his head.
The French international is currently representing his country at Euro 2020 and played the full 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Portugal.
He was quizzed on his future before the tournament where he admitted a move to a bigger club would entice him.
Kounde said: “I’m at a great club right now, but obviously I would like to evolve into a bigger team.
“We will see what the future holds, but it is something that is in my head.”

Kounde has enjoyed a stellar two years at Sevilla, helping them win the Europa League in 2019-20 and qualify for the Champions League this term.
Chelsea could also be boosted in their attempts to sign Kounde by Man United’s desire to land Raphael Varane.
The Red Devils have prioritised signing the Real Madrid defender who has just one year left on his contract at the Bernabeu.

Chelsea face missing out on Niklas Sule transfer with Bayern considering one-year contract offer for defender

CHELSEA transfer target Niklas Sule could extend his Bayern Munich contract, according to reports.Thomas Tuchel is believed to be keen on the centre-back but so far the Blues have not made a bid for Sule, 25.
Chelsea have chased Niklas Sule over the last few months
But with just a year remaining on his current Bayern contract, there is some doubt about Sule’s future.
The Bundesliga champions will reportedly look to secure his services for a further year, report Sport Bild.
The outlet also claims Chelsea are still interested, but state an offer has been a long time coming from the European champions.
Sule joined Bayern Munich from Hoffenheim for £21million in 2017.
He has made 133 appearances for the club but lost his regular spot in the side last season, starting just 16 league games.
Despite his lack of game time, it is believed Chelsea have made the £30m-rated centre-back one of their top transfer targets.
And given the financial restraints brought about by the pandemic, it was thought Bayern could sacrifice Sule this summer.

CHELSEA look set to miss out on Achraf Hakimi as he has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports. Now PSG must agree a fee with Inter Milan, having previously had an offer worth £56million rejected by the Serie A champions.
Achraf Hakimi has reportedly agreed personal terms with PSG
The French side are expected to bid €70m [£60m], including add ons, to confirm the deal, per Fabrizio Romano.
Hakimi could become PSG’s third arrival of the summer, following in the footsteps of Georginio Wijnaldum and Danilo Pereira, whose loan was made permanent.
The full-back agreeing a deal with PSG is a big blow for Chelsea.
The Blues had been plotting a cash-plus-player exchange for Hakimi, 22, with Inter holding out for £60m.
Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Andreas Christensen and Davide Zappacosta are the four players who were reportedly being considered in a potential swap deal.
And earlier this month Chelsea had an offer worth £56m knocked back by Inter.
Chelsea even reportedly reached an agreement with the Morocco international before PSG took command of the transfer race.

Chelsea are ready to join the transfer race for Sergio RamosCredit: AFP
His availability is set to spark a tug-of-war across Europe with Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Manchester City all preparing to make their move.
But AS write how Thomas Tuchel’s Blues have also joined the pack.
The German boss wants a new central defender in his ranks to play alongside Antonio Rudiger and bolster the competition.
Ramos, 35, would be open to entertaining offers from the European champions although is expected to assess every possibility before making his final decision.
Chelsea may face an uphill battle to convince Ramos to join the project at Stamford Bridge over PSG.
The report adds how the French giants are leading the race because Ramos is excited at the prospect of playing alongside Neymar.
He will also reunite with pals and former Real Madrid team-mates Angel Di Maria and Keylor Navas while Cristiano Ronaldo is also heavily linked with a move.

Ramos is also tempted by the lifestyle in Paris and believes his wife and four children would feel most settled in the French capital.
Reports in Spain last week suggested Ramos has already told friends he is on his way to PSG.
Ramos won an incredible 22 honours at the Bernabeu including five LaLiga titles and four Champions League trophies.

Varane is out of contract in a year’s time and Los Blancos do not want to lose him on a free while battling the pandemic financial crisis.
According to The Athletic, a bid as little as £40million could persuade Real to sell up after talks with the player’s representatives.
And he could be one of several stars to leave Madrid, who are gathering funds ahead of a bid for Kylian Mbappe.
The club’s mammoth wage bill needs to be cut before they can offer the Paris Saint-Germain forward a contract.
Mbappe, 22, is also out of contract in 2022 and Real are reportedly plotting a free transfer deal with a mega salary offer.
Varane is currently starring for France at Euro 2020 and is expected to start against Portugal on Wednesday night.

BETTING SPECIAL: GET RONALDO OR MBAPPE TO HAVE A SHOT ON TARGET AT 30/1

It has been suggested that United will use Paul Pogba, also out of contract in a year’s time, as a makeweight for the centre-back.
Manchester City and Chelsea are also as tracking Varane but the Red Devils are described as the frontrunners to secure his services.
A number of defenders have been named as targets for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, who want a new partner for Harry Maguire.
Pau Torres and Jules Kounde continue to be linked in deals that would cost north of £50m.

Villarreal and Spain ace Torres recently stated that he is ‘calm’ about his future while attempting to deliver a last-16 spot for his country.
The 24-year-old said: “I have a contract at Villarreal, I just won the first title for the club, we have qualified for the Champions League and it is something that excites me a lot.
“Now I’m focused on the Euros. Then the Super Cup and nice things will come, so I’m totally calm.”

Despite impressing under the German gaffer, the 25-year-old scored just six times in 35 Premier League outings during the 2020-21 campaign.
And attention has turned to bringing in competition for the ex-RB Leipzig star, with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich prepared to splash the cash yet again.
Borussia Dortmund marksman Haaland has been heavily linked with a move to West London, where he is claimed to have already agreed personal terms.

The Italian, along with Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante, starred in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph with Gilmour making a handful of appearances in the latter weeks of the season.
But the Scotland star’s performance against England at Euro 2020 showed that he is ready for more Blues action, in the eyes of Hoddle.
The former Chelsea player-manager told Betfair: “Billy Gilmour had a good game, and there’s still more to come, but it was his first game and he was excellent.
“He can only grow and get better. He’s not really match fit, so he’s going to get better.
“He keeps the ball well and he’s such a young player. He showed a lot of maturity.
“He’s instantly the replacement for Jorginho at Chelsea, they won’t have to look in the market for someone because he is already there, learning and developing into a great player.”

Jorginho has also enjoyed a strong start to the Euros, starting all three of Italy’s wins in Group A.
And the midfielder, 29, is intent on remaining in Chelsea next season despite a number of previous links with a Serie A return.
Meanwhile, Gilmour has been ruled out of Scotland’s Group D decider with coronavirus.
The 0-0 draw with England led to much of the Wembley faithful unhappy but Hoddle has called for calm.
The manager of the Three Lions’ 1998 World Cup campaign insisted that the knockouts are all that matters and could also suit this team’s style more.
He noted: “We’ve got four points and we’re in a good position to qualify.
We still look vulnerable to the top teams defensively but playing them might be our strength as well. Glenn Hoddle

“No one remembers the group stages when you get to the quarters and semi-finals.
“We still look vulnerable to the top teams defensively but playing them might be our strength as well.
“They’ll open up and attack us and this England team might cause people problems with time and space to use the ball.
