The Blues are just one of a handful of top European giants preparing to scrap for his signature.
Chelsea were believed to be one of the frontrunners to sign the 20-year-old with reports claiming the club had already agreed personal terms with the striker.
But Tuchel is eager to get the deal over the line sooner rather than later ahead of the new season.
Football London write how Tuchel has set a deadline to help put pressure on Dortmund to cash in.
The Bundesliga club are desperate to hold on to their talisman for one more year, especially after letting Jadon Sancho join Manchester United.
It is understood Dortmund have set a £150m price tag on the forward, but the Blues see an offer of £135m more preferable.
Haaland has a £65m release clause come into play next year but if he remains at Dortmund, it will spark an even bigger transfer pursuit.

Chelsea ‘expected’ to launch Jules Kounde transfer bid as £69m-rated Sevilla star not keen on Tottenham move

CHELSEA are reportedly preparing a bid to steal highly-rated Sevilla and France defender Jules Kounde away from Tottenham. The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over recent weeks.

And Manchester City also had a bid of £47million rejected by the LaLiga club, leading the Spanish outfit to insist he will not be leaving for anything less than £69m.
According to Eldesmarque, that has now led to Chelsea declaring their interest as they look to hijack the deal for Kounde.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are thought to be the only possible destination for Kounde in Spain.
This is because Barcelona’s financial difficulties mean they will not be able to afford the extortionate price tag which has been placed on the Frenchman.
Kounde was a part of Didier Deschamps’ 26-man squad that were dumped out of Euro 2020 in the last 16 by Switzerland.
But that has not diminished the interest in Kounde from English clubs.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea or Spurs will be able to get a deal over the line in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel’s European champions are also being linked with a move for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

The £26million-rated France midfielder, 18, reportedly wants to stay in his home country by joining PSG.
But Le Parisien suggest Chelsea have spoken directly to Rennes about him.
Blues’ boss Thomas Tuchel hopes to strengthen his engine room after Scotland ace Billy Gilmour switched to promoted Norwich on loan for the season.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid have also been linked with three-cap starlet Camavinga, who has just a year left on his contract.

JORGINHO’S agent claims the Italy hero is wanted by other clubs but hopes to open new contract talks with Chelsea.Ahead of Sunday’s Euro 2020 final with England, ex-Blues boss Maurizio Sarri and Azzurri striker Lorenzo Insigne have suggested the midfielder should be rivalling Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or.

And with the playmaker currently very much in vogue, Jorginho’s representative Joao Santos says the 29-year-old is looking to hold negotiations with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia.
Santos told Radio Marte: “Today Jorginho’s valuation is around €50 million (£42.8m). If a team arrives… obviously he has made it to many finals.”
And asked about interest from rival teams, he added: “Yes, but our first thought is to speak to Marina Granovskaia about the renewal.
“This is certainly a very important moment in his career, he has been waiting for it for 20 years.”
Jorginho was an ever-present in Chelsea’s successful Champions League campaign after his finest season in the Premier League.
And that form has continued at the Euros as one of the tournament’s leading link-players.
Lazio manager Sarri said: “If Italy were to win the European Championship, it is clear that he would become one [a favourite for the Ballon d’Or].

Olivier Giroud ‘wants to QUIT Chelsea for AC Milan after agreeing personal terms over transfer’

OLIVIER GIROUD reportedly wants to quit Chelsea for AC Milan after agreeing personal terms with the Italian giants.Fabrizio Romano claims Giroud, 34, has struck a deal with Milan on a two-year contract.

And he is eager to complete his San Siro move as soon as possible.
Chelsea are now deep in negotiations with Milan over a transfer fee.
But an agreement is expected to be reached shortly.
Milan were eager to sign Giroud on a free transfer when his Blues deal expired this summer.
However, Chelsea announced last month that they secretly triggered an automatic one-year extension in Giroud’s contract earlier this year, preventing him leaving for nothing.
But that has not stopped Milan from continuing to pursue a deal, with the Italians ready to pay a fee to bring Giroud to Serie A.
The French World Cup winner scored 39 goals in 119 games for Chelsea over a three-and-a-half year period after joining from rivals Arsenal.
Giroud won the 2018 FA Cup, 2019 Europa League and 2021 Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge.

But he barely featured under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel last term, with most of his 17 Premier League appearances coming from the bench.
Giroud isn’t the only striker facing an exit this summer, with Tammy Abraham also expected to leave.
That’s because European champion Tuchel wants to bring in Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian goalscoring sensation is open to moving to London.
But after Dortmund sold Jadon Sancho to Man United for £73million, Chelsea will need to break the bank for Haaland this summer.

Chelsea ‘preparing £150m Erling Haaland transfer bid after positive talks with Borussia Dortmund star’s camp’

Timo Werner, 25, managed only 12 goals with Tammy Abraham, 23, and Olivier Giroud, 34, also facing uncertain futures.
Borussia Dortmund goal machine Haaland, 20, has emerged as their priority target.
According to 90Min, Chelsea have started negotiations with the Norwegian’s agent Mino Raiola.
Personal terms are said to be not an issue and Haaland is open to a move to West London.
It is understood Dortmund have set a £150m price tag on the forward, but the Blues see an offer of £135m more preferable.
Haaland has a £65m release clause come into play next year but if he remains at Dortmund, it will spark an even bigger transfer pursuit.
It leaves Chelsea considering matching the fee the German side have laid out already.
Dortmund are in no rush to sell Haaland, having agreed a £73m deal for winger Jadon Sancho, 21, to leave for Manchester United.

Chelsea are also looking to make space in their squad with AC Milan in talks to sign Frenchman Giroud.
The World Cup winner extended his Stamford Bridge contract in April, with the European Champions unwilling to let him leave for nothing.
Milan, runners up to rivals Inter in the league last season, are still in talks with Giroud’s agent over a potential £3.5m move.

Tapsoba has followed both Chelsea and Kai Havertz on Instagram
Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for Tapsoba.
Boss Thomas Tuchel is eager to land a new central defender with Brighton’s Ben White also on the transfer shortlist.
But Tapsoba is making it no secret of his desire to move to West London after following Chelsea and potential future team-mate Kai Havertz on the social media platform.
It comes just a day after he was quizzed on potential links to a move to Stamford Bridge.
As quoted by Afriquesports, via Goal journalist Ronan Murphy, Tapsoba said: “With Chelsea, for the moment, there is nothing concrete, nothing official.
“What I can say is that I will start my season with Bayer Leverkusen. We keep our fingers crossed for God to guide us to the right path.”

Roma target Chelsea outcast Emerson over summer transfer to replace Leonardo Spinazzola with Marcelo talk ‘fake news’

ROMA are plotting a move for Chelsea defender Emerson, according to reports. The left-back is one of several players who could reportedly leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Marcos Alonso also linked with an exit.

Lazio are believed to be interested in Emerson but could now be challenged by rivals Roma, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
They view the Italy ace as a replacement for Leonardo Spinnazola, who could be out for up to six months with an Achilles injury.
Another Italian journalist, Angelo Mangiante, reports Chelsea are seeking £21.4million for Emerson, despite the fact he played just two league games last season.
Emerson has spent three years at Chelsea after joining from Roma.
And the Serie A side are chasing the 26-year-old, not Real Madrid ace Marcelo, claims Fabrizio Romano.
He describes Roma’s reported interest in the Brazilian as “fake news”, and Di Marzio instead suggests Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini is the player on their radar.
And Roma may have to seek out a deal for the Algerian since Emerson has also attracted attention from Inter Milan and Napoli.

Juventus have also been linked with Emerson in the past so he looks destined to return to Serie A.
His exit could allow Chelsea to bring in a full-back, though so far the club’s transfer efforts seem focused on signing a centre-back.
England star Ben White and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba have both been reported as targets for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Manchester United and Arsenal are said to be keen on Tapsoba but it seems the 22-year-old has his heart set on west London.

Towering Tapsoba played 31 Bundesliga games for Leverkusen last season, helping his side to qualify for the Europa League.
And after the successful signing of Kai Havertz last summer, Chelsea could be keen to raid Leverkusen of another young talent.
