Blackman, 27, has been shipped out on loan to six different clubs across England and Sweden since 2016.
He moves to California with LAFC sitting 8th in Major League Soccer’s Western Conference.
“Jamal is a talented goalkeeper and an important addition to the club” LAFC co-president John Thorrington said in a statement.
“We look forward to welcoming him and are confident that he will prove to be a great fit with his skills and experience.”
Blackman has represented England at youth-team level and spent last season out on loan in the Championship with Rotherham.
He made 28 appearances and kept 6 clean sheets for the Millers but could not prevent them from being relegated.

Standing at 6ft 6in tall, Blackman makes for an imposing presence between the sticks and will compete with Pablo Sisniega and Tomas Romero for a starting role in LA.
Blackman will play under former Swansea boss Bob Bradley at Banc of California Stadium.
The Black and Gold have notched eight wins in 23 matches so far this season.
They travel to Austin on Thursday, fresh from a narrow 3-2 victory over Real Salt Lake City on Monday night.

Chelsea ‘plan to raid Inter Milan for two more players after Lukaku transfer as they target Skriniar and Bastoni’

CHELSEA’S search for defensive reinforcements could see them shopping back at Inter Milan, according to reports. The Champions League winners brought in star striker Romelu Lukaku from Inter this summer in a blockbuster £97.5million deal.

And now SportMediaSet claim the Belgian has told his new employers to take a look at Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni.
The defensive duo are key cogs in the Inter machine and the Italian champions are thought to be unwilling to sell.
But with Kurt Zouma moving to West Ham and 36-year-old Thiago Silva not getting any younger, Chelsea will be looking to strengthen in defence when the transfer window reopens in January.
Skriniar is a no-nonsense centre-back talked of as the heir to former Slovakia captain and compatriot Martin Skrtel.
Left-footed Bastoni also plays in the centre of defence but can fill-in at fullback where he started his career.
The 22-year-old is one of Italy’s brightest young stars and his confidence on the ball would work well within boss Thomas Tuchel’s system.

Chelsea feel under-resourced at centre-back, having allowed Zouma to move to West Ham for £29.8million this summer.
Versatile academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah joined Silva and Antonio Rudiger in a back-three in Chelsea’s most recent outing – a 3-0 win against Aston Villa.

But with Tuchel determined to challenge for this season’s Premier League title and defend his Champions League crown, the Blues will be looking for further strength in depth.
If the recent arrival of Lukaku from Inter is anything to go by, Chelsea can expect the best when shopping at the San Siro.
Lukaku’s return to Chelsea, where he spent the years 2011 to 2014, has seen him score three goals in three appearances so far.

The Spain international made that decision after being frozen out of the team by Mourinho and the rest of his coaching staff.
But the 34-year-old found what he was looking for after just one conversation with Sarri and now insists that Roma belong to the past.
Pedro said: “It was very complicated in Roma, they left me out of the team and none of the coaches spoke to me, I didn’t know anything about this matter.
“When I spoke with Maurizio Sarri I realised that Lazio was a great opportunity.
“It is true that no player has left Roma for Lazio in a long time, but I am very happy here.
“Roma is in the past, I don’t want to talk about that anymore, my goal now is to help Lazio and my team-mates.”

Pedro joined Roma in 2020 following a five-year stint at Chelsea where he won a Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League title.
The former Barcelona star amassed a total of 43 goals and 28 assists in 206 appearances across all competitions at Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard also spent some time with Mourinho in west London during the disastrous 2015-2016 campaign that saw the team finishing 10th and the Portuguese manager getting fired mid-way through the season.
But the former Manchester United and Tottenham boss didn’t maintain Pedro within his ranks following six goals and seven assists in 40 matches at Roma.

The striker has been among Bayern’s top targets for quite some time after his former RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann took over at the Allianz Arena.
The Germany international endured a turbulent debut campaign with the Blues and has fallen down the pecking order following Romelu Lukaku’s record £97.5million return to Stamford Bridge.
The west Londoners are reportedly looking to pounce on that opportunity as they could use the 25-year-old as leverage to sign former Manchester City star Sane.
However, the German champions are not keen on letting the winger go after spending a hefty £38.4m in 2020, even though he has been relegated to a supporting role.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel also insists Werner remains an integral part of the club despite recent reports suggesting he will soon leave.
Tuchel recently said: “I am sure that we will find games and solutions where we play with both of them [Werner and Lukaku].

“We did already and Timo and Romelu can be a good fit together.
“Timo loves to play around a reference up front and Romelu is clearly our reference up front being a tall and physical player.
“The most important is he finds his rhythm and confidence and joy and makes his point and makes his way into the team.
“The players are in charge to take their positions and fight for their positions and once they have it to not give it away.
“We are very happy that he scored and played [for Germany in the international break] and on we go.
“We have not too many players but we have players with high quality and high ambition and Timo is clearly a guy that we count on and that is absolutely necessary we have him on high level.”

Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid future in doubt as ex-Chelsea star ‘knows Vinicius Jr is ahead of him’ in pecking order

EDEN HAZARD is aware that Vinicius Jr is ahead of him in the pecking order at Real Madrid in a further blow to his Bernabeu career, reports suggest.Hazard has failed to live up to expectations ever since his staggering £90million move to Real from Chelsea in 2019.

A string of injuries have limited the winger to a mere five goals and nine assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
According to Marca, the Belgium international is seeing a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting line-up slipping through his fingers.
That is because the 30-year-old is being outshined by Vinicius, who has enjoyed a stunning start to his season.
The 21-year-old winger has already registered three goals in as many games and has earned Ancelotti’s trust.
Therefore, the Italian manager seems to prefer a front three consisting of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and the Brazil international.
Hazard is aware of this and understands his future at the Santiago Bernabeu has become quite uncertain.

This comes after Real spent the summer transfer window cutting down on spending following the coronavirus pandemic’s financial impact.
Los Blancos are also determined to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe either in January or next summer.
Mbappe’s contract with PSG runs out in June and the star striker seems to be on his way to the Spanish capital.
But the France international will cost a hefty fee, even as a free agent, and more room may have to be made in Real’s books.
That makes Hazard’s future in Madrid even more precarious and so a move elsewhere could be on the cards.

Chelsea ‘will only relaunch Jules Kounde transfer bid in January if Sevilla slash asking price by almost HALF’

CHELSEA will reportedly only reignite their interest in Jules Kounde during the winter transfer window if Sevilla slash their demands for the defender. The Blues were keen to snap up the centre-back in the summer, but were reluctant to activate his £68million release clause.

Both clubs were close to agreeing a £43m deal for the Frenchman, only for the LaLiga side to bump up their asking price following Kurt Zouma’s switch to West Ham.
The failed transfer is said to have left Kounde furious with the Sevilla board after he had agreed personal terms with the West London outfit.
But the 22-year-old could still get his move to Chelsea in January, but ESPN state that will only happen if the Spanish outfit lower their demands.
They have claimed that Chelsea are only prepared to still pay £43m.
Should Sevilla be willing to revive negotiations, then the Champions League holders won’t hesitate in making a swoop for the ex-Bordeaux ace.
Speaking of Chelsea’s failed move for Kounde, Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui confirmed that the Premier League giants didn’t offer a sufficient amount of money.

He told Diario de Sevilla: “Kounde in the end has stayed because the club has decided that it was the right thing to do based on the evaluation of the offers they may have had.
“For me, as a coach, that Jules stays is positive.
“With the evolution he has had in these two years, it is positive, without any doubt.”

Before adding: “We trust that he’ll continue to grow with us and, above all, perform, which is the most important thing.”
Chelsea reportedly are also looking to prise French starlet Aurelien Tchouameni away from Monaco.
However Juventus are believed to be in pole position to sign the midfielder following his standout performances in Ligue 1 and on the international stage.

But according to Tuttosport, Juve are the front runners in the pursuit for 21-year-old Tchouameni.
He made 42 appearances last season, including 36 in the league and was even voted Ligue 1 young player of the year.
Tchouameni’s impressive form earned him a call up to France’s first-team, debuting in a World Cup qualifier at the start of the month against Bosnia.
He followed it up with two more appearances in games with Ukraine and then Finland.
Tchouameni’s emergence in Didier Deschamps is said to have clubs fearing his price tag could now rocket.

Chelsea flop Timo Werner ’70 per cent likely’ to complete Bayern Munich transfer next summer amid links with Nagelsmann

TIMO WERNER is reportedly ’70 per cent likely’ to swap Chelsea for Bayern Munich next summer to reunite with Julian Nagelsmann. The 25-year-old only departed the Bundesliga last year to link up with the Blues from RB Leipzig, but he could be set to return to his native Germany.

Werner – without a goal from his three Blues outings this term – mustered just six Premier League strikes from 35 games last campaign.
And with the West Londoners bringing in Romelu Lukaku for £97.5million, Werner’s chances in the first-team could be limited.
According to German news outlet Sport1, all signs point towards a move to Bavaria where he could potentially replace Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland international, 33, is understood to be keen for a fresh challenge away from Bayern after seven trophy-laden years with the Munich outfit.
It has been said that former RB Leipzig boss Nagelsmann, now manager at Bayern, is in regular contact with Werner.
He is claimed to be Bayern’s alternative to Erling Haaland should they fail to prise the £64m striker away from Borussia Dortmund.

Werner’s name has been discussed among the Allianz Arena hierarchy who would welcome him at the club.
Should he join Bayern, Werner would not only be reunited with Nagelsmann, but also former Leipzig team-mates Dayot Upamencano and Marcel Sabitzer.
Despite Werner’s struggles in front of goal for Chelsea, the 2021 Champions League winner has been in inspired form for Germany.
The centre-forward scored in all three of Germany’s World Cup qualifiers during the international break.
Though he was guilty of another horrendous miss from close range in Wednesday’s 4-0 win against Iceland.
Prior to bagging his 19th goal for Germany, the ex-Stuttgart ace failed to tuck away a chance from around seven yards out.

And fans were quick to have their say on social media.
One quipped: “Keeper wasn’t even troubled enough to take a look.”
Another remarked: “Three guarantees in life: Death, taxes and Werner missing open goals.”
