JOHN TERRY sent a cheeky plea for Declan Rice to join Chelsea in a mega summer transfer.The former Blues skipper has remained in contact with Rice since the protégé left the West London club’s academy.

Terry called Rice when the 14-year-old was released and continues to be a mentor even with the latter at rivals West Ham.
There, he has developed into one of the best midfielders in the country, a starter for England and linked with a massive transfer to either Chelsea or Manchester United.
Now Terry is trying his best to steer Rice’s head back towards West London, especially with the Hammers vice-captain coming from a Chelsea-supporting family.

GIORGIO CHIELLINI has agreed to terminate his contract with Juventus this summer as they prepare to bring in Antonio Rudiger as a replacement, according to reports.Rudiger, 29, is out of contract with Chelsea at the end of this season and the Turin giants want him to lead their defence into a new era.

Chiellini has played more than 400 league games for Juventus over 18 years and is still considered a key figure at the age of 37.
The plan was thought to be for the captain to play one more season while helping Rudiger settle into the club.
But 7Gold Sport have reported that the veteran defender will be allowed to leave.

BELGIUM boss Roberto Martinez has hinted Romelu Lukaku might have to quit Chelsea this summer – for his World Cup good.The £97m striker has struggled for game-time under Thomas Tuchel since Christmas, after being forced into a public apology for his Italian TV interview in which he signalled his unhappiness at the Bridge.

It comes after his future was thrown into question towards the end of 2021 when he did an interview where he fuelled reports of a return to Inter Milan.

Werner arrived in England as a goalscoring machine having banged in 28 goals in 34 Bundesliga games during the 2019-20 campaign.
But he disappointed in his first season in the Premier League after finding the back of the net just six times from 35 outings.
And he has scored just once in the top-flight this term from 14 matches with Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz tasked with leading the line over him.
His poor form has led to speculation that he could leave Chelsea to return to Germany.

To which Babbel, who has also urged Serge Gnabry to not swap Bayern for Arsenal, said: “Chelsea’s a difficult place – even Lukaku isn’t playing!
“It’s strange as both players are fantastic. Timo is a goal scorer, and he needs 100 per cent belief from the coach in his style of football.
“He’s not the best technical footballer in the team. Havertz, [Mason] Mount, [Hakim] Ziyech are very elegant, and they understand the game.

PSG are long-term admirers of Kante, with Thomas Tuchel admitting he tried signing the World Cup winner several times before taking charge at Chelsea last year.
And sporting chief Leonardo made yet another attempt to bring Kante to the French capital.
However, the all-action dynamo spurned PSG’s advances yet again.
It’s reckoned Kante is still loving life at Chelsea – nearly six years since his £30million switch from Leicester.

And although his contract expires in 2023, Kante is determined to continue playing for Tuchel’s European champions.
The fan favourite has clocked up 249 appearances during his time in London, scoring 13 goals in the process.
Kante’s won the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Club World Cup during his time with the Blues.
And he was crowned Prem Player of the Season in 2017 after winning the title under Antonio Conte.
