      Ousmane Dembele has NOT reopened Barcelona contract talks with recent meeting to ‘rebuild relationship’ in Chelsea boost

      OUSMANE DEMBELE has NOT reopened contract negotiations with Barcelona, according to reports.That is despite holding a meeting with the club to try and “rebuild the relationship”.

      And that could provide a boost for Chelsea, who may look to swoop for the free agent.
      Dembele, 24, signed for Barca for a whopping £97million back in 2017.
      But his five-year deal expires this summer and the breakdown between the two parties mean nothing has been sorted.
      According to Fabrizio Romano, Dembele’s agent sat down with Barcelona chiefs in Marrakech.

      But the parties will need to act swiftly with the end of the season rapidly approaching.
      Asked if Dembele would sign a new deal with Barcelona, club president Joan Laporta simply said: “Hopefully.”
      Last month, Laporta insisted the French winger would need to lower his demands to get a contract.
      Chelsea are set to be at the front of the queue to pounce and land Dembele on a free transfer should nothing get sorted.
      However, Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG may also be in contention.

      And according to The Athletic and The Telegraph, the baseball boss will now be backed by Walter, who has an estimated net worth of £3.3bn.
      The Iowa-born businessman is the chief executive officer of Guggenheim Partners, a privately held global financial services firm.
      There is currently no indication how much money Walter will contribute to the bid, which must be submitted by the Thursday, April 14 deadline.
      Boehly was recently pictured at Stamford Bridge the night Chelsea were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in the Champions League.

      BARCELONA have reportedly bowed out of the race for Antonio Rudiger after securing a new deal with defender Ronald Araujo.Rudiger, 29, is out of contract with Chelsea in the summer and was linked to join the Spanish giants after initial talks took place last week.

      TIMO WERNER’S agent has reportedly travelled to Italy for talks with several Serie A clubs amid speculation around the forward’s future at Chelsea.The 26-year-old German has failed to find any sort of consistent form since arriving at Stamford Bridge from RB Leipzig two years ago.

      He joined the Blues for £47.5million having scored 34 goals in 45 games for the Bundesliga side in the 2019/20 campaign.
      But he has only managed to hit the back of the net 19 times in 81 appearances for Chelsea.
      As a result, he has been linked with a move back to Germany – with Borussia Dortmund said to be interested.
      However, according to The Express, his agent Volker Struth is now exploring the possibility of a switch to Serie A.

      Struth has allegedly flown out to Italy for meetings with Juventus, AC Milan and Atalanta.
      And while the agent is also conducting meetings for another client – Benfica midfielder Julian Weigl – Werner is thought to have been a point of discussion.
      Chelsea are reportedly willing to accept 50 per cent of the fee they paid for Werner – around £24m.
      The player is thought to prefer the idea of moving back to Germany, but a transfer to Italy could prove enticing.

      However, a deal to move Werner on also depends upon the alleviation of sanctions which have been placed on Chelsea.
      The UK government has restricted the club’s ability to buy or sell players following sanctions placed upon owner Roman Abramovich.
