ANTONIO RUDIGER injured ex-Chelsea pal Eden Hazard with a horror tackle during pre-season training with Real Madrid.Germany international Rudiger, 29, joined Los Blancos on a free transfer this summer following his contract expiring at Stamford Bridge.

The move saw Rudiger reunite with ex-Chelsea team-mate Hazard, who left the Blues for Real in 2019.
But on the eve of a pre-season El Clasico, where Rudiger is in line to make his first start for his new club against Barcelona, the defender has thrown Hazard’s participation into doubt.
During training, Rudiger lunged in to win the ball, but his foot rolled over the top and planted into Hazard’s ankle.
An audible scream could be heard from Hazard and fellow Real aces participating put their hands on their heads in horror.

ROMELU LUKAKU has reportedly been put on a strict diet at Inter Milan after returning over weight from when he left last summer.The Belgium striker, 29, departed the San Siro for Chelsea in a £97.5million move in the best shape of his life.

That was due to the Serie A club placing him on a special diet after he arrived out of shape from Manchester United in 2019.
Lukaku himself admitted he was overweight while at Old Trafford due to a digestive problem that was corrected in Italy.
And it was a Mediterranean diet of salad, fish, chicken and pasta that turned him into an Inter superstar and helped him fire them to title glory.
Now they are hoping that history repeats itself after he put on the beef during his ill-fated 12-month stint at Chelsea last term.

RAHEEM STERLING cannot wait to be at his mum’s house eating Sunday lunch after “banging in the goals” at Stamford Bridge.And Chelsea’s £47.5million signing says he is now “mature and old enough” to deal with the distractions of London.

In his first interview since joining up with his team-mates on their USA pre- season tour, he said: “Every time I get back to London it is a surreal feeling.
“When I first went up north I never really used to come down much.
“My family used to always come up so I could stay focused on work. Sometimes London can be a distraction.

He added: “It is an exciting time for me. I know how much more I have to offer.

Sterling was allowed to leave by Pep Guardiola after seven trophy-laden seasons as the City boss rebuilds his squad with a younger feel to it.
Yet Sterling believes he still has another level to find under boss Thomas Tuchel as he tries to close the gap between Chelsea and the formidable duo of City and Liverpool.
At City, he won four Premier League titles, five League Cups and one FA Cup, yet the Champions League has so far eluded him — losing to Chelsea in the final in 2021.
And he hopes to gain that family feel on the pitch, as well as off it, with the likes of Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell being so welcoming.
Sterling added: “What excites me about coming to Chelsea is seeing the last two years you guys have been in four or five finals. The progress of winning the Champions League and now looking to challenge for the Premier League.
“It’s something that intrigued me when I was having a conversation with the club. The chat with the manager wasn’t the longest but you can see how genuine he was and how much he wanted me here.
“That made me certain this is the place I want to be.

Just 12 months ago, Lukaku left Inter for the Premier League side in a deal worth £97.5million.
But now he is back at Inter where he flourished for two seasons between 2019 and 2021.
And he serenaded his new team-mates by climbing onto his chair and singing to them during a team dinner – a video which was posted on social media.
Both Lukaku and the rest of the squad seemed to be loving the initiation as the former Manchester United man’s love affair with Italian football continues.

It comes after he admitted earlier this month that he should never have left Inter in the first place.
At Inter’s kit launch, he said: “I left. It was a mistake.

Sevilla want a deal signed with Chelsea as quickly as possible and would prefer to see him move to England rather than to Spanish rivals Barcelona.
Chelsea have come up with the money while Barcelona are trying to gather the cash together to finance a transfer.
