CONOR GALLAGHER’s dream chance in the Chelsea first team has turned into a nightmare.The midfielder, 22, was shown a red card after just 28 MINUTES against Leicester to add to his woes.

Gallagher was awarded his second start in a row alongside Jorginho but couldn’t make it count again.
It’s time for the hugely-talented youngster to review if it was the right decision to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
He will serve his suspension on Tuesday as the Blues travel to Southampton.
Mateo Kovacic will come in to replace Gallagher and who knows when, or if, he wins his place back.

The season-long loan at Crystal Palace last term saw Gallagher rightly heralded at Selhurst Park.
The playmaker was one of the Eagle’s best performers and scored eight goals and created a further five, deservingly catching the eye of England boss Gareth Southgate.
But he will is at risk of losing his place on the plane to Qatar at this rate if he stays at Chelsea, with his gametime potentially limited.
The London-born star flew into a couple of tackles early doors today but his over zealous attitude and eagerness to impress was to blame for his sending off.

And academy product Gallagher was handed the chance to impress Tuchel and Co, starting in the middle of the park alongside Jorginho.
However, the England international, 22, was sent off for two yellow card offences.
Gallagher stepped across Foxes winger Harvey Barnes, breaking up an attack – leaving the referee with no choice but to show him his marching orders.
Leicester thought they took the lead shortly after.

Youri Tielemans played a cross into Chelsea’s penalty area, which was met by Barnes.
The winger’s headed effort hit off the post and ended up in the back of the net.
However, the goal was chalked off for a foul on Blues keeper Edouard Mendy.
Gallagher’s red card also happens to be Chelsea’s third in their last three games.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were desperate to complete a deal after weeks of talks with the Foxes.
And according to Lineker, it’s easy to see why.
The famous Foxes fan has watched the Frenchman closely since his 2020 switch to the King Power.
Following the news that the 21-year-old would be leaving Leicester for Chelsea, Lineker wrote a gushing message on Twitter.

CHELSEA are on the verge of signing Russian starlet Arsen Zakharyan for a cut-price fee.The Blues are one of several clubs interested in landing the versatile Dynamo Moscow midfielder.

And the 19-year-old’s agent has revealed the West Londoners are on the brink of acquiring the Russian’s services.
Pavel Andreev told RB Sport: “It’s true. The agreement is close”.
Zakharyan has two years left on his contract with Dynamo.
But the Blues are set to land him for a paltry fee of £12.6million – which is his release clause.

Zakharyan was in prolific form last season, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.
The Russian was identified as a target by Chelsea’s Head of Youth Development Neil Bath.
