So Chelsea could make a move for Kane once Lukaku returns from his loan at Inter Milan.
Chelsea plan to offer Spurs cash plus Lukaku in exchange for the England striker, report Calciomercato.
But the Belgian is happy at Inter Milan and Chelsea have an agreement in principle with the Italian side for Lukaku to spend a second year on loan at the San Siro.
Transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports a second loan switch could cost £9million, though a permanent transfer is also on the cards.

Lukaku has made no secret of his love for Inter and would likely be keen to stay, though joining Tottenham would give him the chance to reunite with Antonio Conte.
Kane, however, is unlikely to be keen on moving to Stamford Bridge given the rivalry between Chelsea and Spurs.
He could also be enticed to move to Bayern Munich after the Germans reportedly made him their number one summer transfer target.
Bayern view Kane as the long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski who joined Barcelona in the summer.

And it is believed Kane is “tempted” by the prospect of joining Bayern.
Kane has less than two years remaining on his current contract with Tottenham, so if club chiefs cannot tie him down to a new deal they risk losing him for nothing in 2024 if he isn’t sold next summer. More

And now he has a new manager at the helm in Graham Potter, he wants a new sporting director in place to work alongside him.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are close to hiring Freund after agreeing personal terms with the Austrian.
Salzburg has been informed of the agreement and next Chelsea have to finalise a compensation package with the club to secure Freund’s arrival.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain advisor Luis Campos and reportedly offered him £135,000-a-week.

Former Liverpool transfer chief Michael Edwards was also on the Blues’ radar in the summer but it appears Boehly has turned to other targets.
And it seems he has found his man in Freund, who gave Erling Haaland his first shot at the big time when he signed him at Salzburg.

Haaland first came to prominence for the Austrian side with his scintillating performances in the Champions League and subsequently earned a move to Borussia Dortmund.
Freund was also responsible for identifying the talent of a raw and unproven Sadio Mane, as well as Naby Keita and Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano.

Freund will likely be given significant funds after Chelsea spent big in the summer – breaking the British record for total spend in one transfer window.
The West Londoners splashed a record £273.5m during this past summer transfer window.
Chelsea signed Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, Gabriel Slonina, Omari Hutchinson, Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Denis Zakaria.
And Boehly is now prepared to back more signings as the club still targets a top-four finish. More

The ex-Wigan backroom man was picked out by Frank Lampard when he was Chelsea boss.
Huddersfield gave their ex-midfielder Danny Schofield the chance to impress by promoting him from the ranks but results and performances failed to improve.
Former Huddersfield boss David Wagner is the bookies’ favourite after a disappointing turn to his time in German football.
And Plymouth chief Steven Schumacher is an interesting contender after stepping up as number one following the exit of Ryan Lowe.

Schofield was sacked shortly after Tuesday’s 2-1 home defeat to Wigan, having been in charge only 69 days.
It was Huddersfield’s SIXTH defeat in their opening eight Championship fixtures.

He been at the San Siro since 2017 and he has featured 223 times for the club.
Skriniar played an integral role in the squad that won the Serie A title back in 2020/21.
City’s priority for 2023 is reinforcing their midfield in the future but the ex-Sampdoria man remains a target.
But boss Pep Guardiola has publicly spoken about how his centre-backs have struggled to stay fit and Nathan Ake almost left the club in the summer.

City snapped up Manuel Akanji towards the end of the recent window but they are open to the idea of buying another centre-back.
Skriniar has long been on the radar of Chelsea and despite opting for Wesley Fofana they could be in the market again for a defender if Graham Potter wishes.
Spurs have also shown an interest in Skriniar too as he has worked under boss Antonio Conte at Inter.
Paris Saint-Germain wanted him too but the Italian giants rejected approaches from them in the summer.

The Ligue 1 champions reportedly saw a £43million bid turned down.
But unless Simone Inzaghi’s side can persuade Skriniar to sign a new deal, they could lose him for nothing as he will be free to discuss pre-contract agreements with non-Italian clubs from January.

Chelsea could send Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan for ANOTHER season-long loan transfer in £9m deal

CHELSEA could again send Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan on loan next season, according to reports.Lukaku is currently back at the San Siro for just this season after being desperate to return after an underwhelming year at Chelsea.

The Belgian was signed by the Blues in the summer of 2021 from the Serie A side for £97.5million.
But soon after he expressed his desire to go back to Inter Milan and journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed the two clubs will hope to find a solution to the Lukaku saga that could involve another loan.
DI Marzio stated: “He [Lukaku] did everything to return to Inter. I think Chelsea and Inter will find the best solution, maybe another loan, but I see his return unlikely.
“In this deal, Inter paid £7million for the loan and would pay another £9million for a new loan next year. The price would then go down more and more if Inter decided to buy him back.”

Reports also suggest that under Chelsea’s previous ownership where director of football Marina Granovskaia was in charge, she wouldn’t have allowed the 29-year-old striker to leave.
But as Lukaku is not a Todd Boehly buy he was willing to let him go out on loan.
The ex-Manchester United man is having a tough start to the season in Italy scoring just once so far as he battles ankle injury that has ruled him out recent matches.
His overall record for Inter is exceptional though having netted 65 times in 98 matches.

Lukaku formed a deadly partnership with Lautaro Martinez and the duo fired Inter to a title win in 2020/21.
His form last season in West London was less impressive scoring 15 goals in 44 appearances as he complained that Thomas Tuchel’s tactics didn’t suit him.
It remains to be seen if he will be part of new Chelsea boss Graham Potter’s long-term plans. More

However, he also mistakenly claimed that the Liverpool star and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne came through Chelsea’s academy.
The Egyptian forward, 30, actually came through the ranks in his homeland at Al Mokawloon.
And their director Mohamed Adel Fathi has now hit back at Boehly for “showing a lack of understanding’ and being ‘ignorant”.
He said in a Facebook post, via GOAL: “What the new owner of Chelsea says shows a lack of understanding.

“Mohamed Salah is a source of pride for the Al Mokawloon Club and Egyptian and Arab football, and we are honoured that he is one of our sons.
“The whole world knows Salah’s career and how he started with us, but it seems that the owner of Chelsea is the only person in the world who is ignorant of this information.”
Salah started his career at the Cairo-based team after four years in their academy from 2006.
He went on play 38 league games for the club and scored 11 goals before signing for Swiss side Basel in 2012.

His form there then earned him a move to Chelsea at the age of 21 in 2014 but he failed to make the breakthrough at Stamford Bridge.
Salah was loaned out to Serie A sides Fiorentina and Roma, with the latter eventually buying him permanently.
The star hit top form in Italy before Liverpool swooped to bring him to Anfield in 2017, and he has not looked back since, becoming a legend for the Reds.
Boehly had suggested at the SALT forum that Chelsea’s youth academy deserves credit for developing stars such as Salah and De Bruyne – who actually was developed by Genk.
He said: “We have one of the best academies in the world.
“If you look at what our academy has developed, our academy is Mo Salah, Kevin De Bruyne. More recently, Tammy Abraham, Reece James, Mason Mount, Trevoh Chalobah.”
De Bruyne moved to Chelsea in 2012 from Genk but struggled to make an impact in his limited appearances for the West London club.

He was sent out on loan to Werder Bremen but eventually joined Wolfsburg in 2014 where he started to produce some stunning displays, leading to City signing him in 2015.
