The Blues were privileged enough to have plenty of world class talents during their golden era of success – including the likes of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba.
And this expert goal-getter, who is now sporting a new blonde trim and more muscular physique, played with all of them.
Chelsea signed him as a youngster all the way back in 2006 for an initial £9million from Feyenoord.
During his time at Stamford Bridge he perfected the art of being a super-sub – always looking good for a goal off the bench.

His final game as a Blue came from the start, however, with his tenure culminating in the Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in 2012.
He played 254 times in total for Chelsea, scoring 60 times and laying on 45 assists.
The skinny Ivorian was released in the summer of 2012, joining French side Lille on a free contract.
He would go on to play two seasons in France, before heading to Hertha Berlin – where he stayed for six years, ahead of a spell with Botafogo in Brazil.

But the London rivals might now face some heavyweight competition from Diego Simeone’s LaLiga giants.
The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer and the Spaniards are looking into taking him on a free transfer, according to the Mirror.
It looks like there is a good chance Trossard will leave the Amex at the end of the season after he admitted he would move to the right club.
When asked about his future by the BBC, he said: “It’s difficult to say anything about that now and completely depends on which club would come.

“[It will depend on if] I feel good and things are good on a private level.
“But I also know how good I am at Brighton, also with new coach Roberto De Zerbi it looks promising.”
One huge thing in the Blues’ favour is the opportunity for Trossard to link-up again with his former Seagulls boss Graham Potter.
But going against them is their jam-packed squad of stars competing for starts – and World Cup-bound Trossard’s stated position that he does not want to go somewhere to warm a bench.

However, since then Hazard has been blighted by poor form and persistent injuries.
And following the weekend’s El Clasico, it has been revealed that Hazard has not featured in a single one since his transfer.
Eight renditions of the infamous fixture have been and gone since Hazard’s arrival, and he has not featured for even a single minute out of the 720 minutes available from them.
Indeed, there was hope once again that Hazard could finally find some form this season.

But a poor performance against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League saw Hazard hooked after 57 minutes and now looks set to keep him on the bench.
The performance also saw the club’s ruthless fanbase boo off the former Chelsea talisman.
Despite Hazard voicing his frustration over his lack of game time, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti hit back.
He said: “Eden hasn’t had to speak to me because he knows the situation, that there’s a lot of competition. I think his situation is quite clear.”
