The Stamford Bridge stalemate means Chelsea have just one win in their last six league games, mounting further pressure on boss Potter, who continues to struggle to get a tune out of his team.
Germany manager Flick was in attendance – but his presence was to most likely keep an eye on Kai Havertz ahead of the upcoming international break.
Havertz started and played a full 90 minutes up top, and even saw an effort hit the post.
Germany play Peru and Belgium in March, and Flick is keen to shake up his squad following last year’s World Cup group stage exit.

Nonetheless, Flick’s presence has left Chelsea fans all saying the same thing: Flick to become the new Blues boss and turn Havertz into prime Robert Lewandowski.
That would be a massive help for Chelsea, who have been goal-shy so far this season.
One fan said: “Hansi Flick at Chelsea immediately.
“Tears when he turns Havertz into prime Lewandowski, Madueke into prime Robben, Mason Mount into prime Muller, put Ziyech on steroids, and Kepa becomes prime Neuer.”

Another tweeted: “Hansi Flick really wants that Chelsea job.”
A third suggested sacking Potter and giving Chelsea’s “world class” squad to a “world class” manager.

Graeme Souness delivers stinging jibe at Chelsea owner Todd Boehly over £107m Enzo Fernandez transfer

GRAEME SOUNESS says Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has had his “trousers taken down” over the transfers of £107million Enzo Fernandez and Co.The Blues have spent north of £600million since the American’s takeover last year.

World Cup-winning midfielder Fernandez was the cherry on top on deadline day last month, joining for a British transfer record fee.
But despite Chelsea splashing the cash, Graham Potter’s men have just one win in their last six Premier League games.
They played out a goalless draw against West London rivals Fulham in their last outing – a game which saw £107m Fernandez make his debut.
Liverpool legend and football pundit, Souness, is far from impressed by the Blues’ ownership.
    READ MORE ON CHELSEA
Writing for the Daily Mail, Souness fumed: “Who on earth is advising Todd Boehly at Chelsea?
“He might be an American investor with extremely deep pockets who fancies his chances as a Premier League high roller, but who is actually providing intelligence and assessment on the value of the players he is buying?
“When it comes to Fernandez, Chelsea have paid a premium on top of a premium on top of a premium.
“A premium because it is the Premier League calling.

“A premium because it is Chelsea. A premium because they want this player now.
“Boehly is the latest super-rich businessman learning about our football the hard way and having his trousers taken down when it comes to transfer dealings, by not knowing the value of the players he is buying.”
Ex-Arsenal star Paul Merson has also echoed the same concerns, and fears for the club should they miss out on Champions League football.
Chelsea are sat 9th in the Prem and 10 points behind fourth-place Newcastle.
In a column for the Daily Star, Merson wrote: “I worry for the future of Chelsea when Todd Boehly is handing out eight-year contracts like there is no tomorrow.
“Football is a funny old game and eight years is such a long time — there is going to be a domino effect at Stamford Bridge – that’s for sure.
“It’s alright now but in five years, where are Chelsea going to be?
“Boehly and the new hierarchy can’t keep doing this because if they don’t get Champions League football, they’re already in trouble.” More

Chelsea new boy Enzo Fernandez reveals how Declan Rice inspires him as David Moyes sets transfer fee for West Ham star

CHELSEA new-boy Enzo Fernandez has admitted that he has watched West Ham and England star Declan Rice to help improve as a midfielder. Fernandez, 22, joined the Blues in a British record £107million transfer on deadline day following his World Cup-winning exploits in December.

The Argentine made his debut in the 0-0 draw with Fulham on Friday and impressed the Stamford Bridge faithful.
Despite Todd Boehly and Co spending upwards of £600m since their arrival last year, the Blues will continue to splash the cash with another big summer transfer window expected.
One of the positions rumoured to be strengthened is the midfield.
Finding a player to partner Fernandez in the middle of the park is key.

And West Ham captain Rice, 24, is a player Chelsea have been long-time admirers of, dating back to the days when Roman Abramovich owned the club.
Rice even used to be a Chelsea academy player – but was released aged 14 before joining the Hammers, where he has grown into one of football’s brightest talents.
Fernandez has even admitted to watching Rice BEFORE he completed a big-money move to Chelsea.
The midfielder admitted he tries to watch the Hammers and England star “and learn”.

He said during the World Cup: “I try to watch as much football and learn a little bit from everyone.
“I like Rice of England, I try to watch him and learn.”
However, West Ham boss David Moyes has warned that it’ll take smashing Fernandez’s transfer record for a club to get their mitts on Rice.
Rice was one of West Ham’s standout performers in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle on Sunday.
After the game, Moyes said: “I thought he was a top player in the first-half, really was.
“Showed so many things and it’s interesting, undoubtedly, Declan is going to be a top player and undoubtedly he’ll be a British transfer record if he ever leaves West Ham, and more.”
Moyes expects a future sale of Rice to blow Fernandez’s transfer “out of the water”.
The Scotsman continued: “I hope it’s not [an inevitable departure]. I hope he sees his time here [at West Ham].
“Look, there’s a lot of talk about it and it’s just important when you see what’s going about for the prices.
“I think Declan will be blowing that out of the water, that’s for sure, when it comes around.”

Rice’s contract at the London Stadium runs until the summer of 2024, however, the Hammers have the option to extend for a further year.
Arsenal are also big admirers of Rice, and even Real Madrid have held an interest in the player.

But boyhood Blues fan Gallagher, who turns 23 on Monday, was already struggling for  consistent game time BEFORE Todd Boehly’s British record £110million splash for new boy Enzo Fernandez.
Owner  Boehly — who has spent an incredible  £606m including loan fees and add-ons since buying the club in May — wants to keep him sweet by handing him a rise to his £50,000-a-week salary.
Newcastle and Everton joined Palace in the queue for Gallagher in the closing days of the window but he was not allowed out.
A clutch of Prem clubs are sure to have another go at the end of the season but the signs from Stamford Bridge are that he is still firmly in their thoughts.

Boehly has overseen deals which could add up to an incredible total of £606m this season.

And in fact the January spend of almost £330m is more than the combined buying from ALL the clubs in the other Big Five leagues – Spain, Germany, Italy and France.
And despite the spree, ex-Chelsea player and manager Glenn Hoddle reckons Thiago Silva is the only shoo-in starter.
The ex-Tottenham and England chief said: “He’s a must. But everyone else, it’s a mish-mash.
“There’s a lot of work to do. He’s got some lovely material to make a beautiful suit but it’s going to take more time with so many new players.” More

And now, after spending all of that money over the past nine months, The Mail are reporting Chelsea will request exemptions to the Premier League spending rules when they submit their accounts at the end of the season.
They are doing so by arguing they were unable to receive income for three months in 2022 when former owner, Roman Abramovich, was sanctioned by the UK government.
The regulations dictate that a club can lose up to £105m over a three-year period.
Chelsea were in danger of breaching those restrictions for the year ending 2021.

But, like several other clubs, the Blues were given special allowances due to the pandemic.
Now they are hoping to secure similar exemptions once again.
It is not yet clear how the Premier League will respond to Chelsea’s request.
Boehly’s outfit could also face difficulty complying with Uefa’s Financial Fair Play rules.

Chelsea have previously been placed on Uefa’s “watch list” which consists of clubs in danger of breaching the regulations.

James, 23, told Football Daily: “It’s a great feeling to be back. I’ve been out a long time.
“It’s been crazy. We’ve had a lot of signings.

That has included a £330m spree in the January window as the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk arrived at Stamford Bridge.
