However, they will have to fight off competition from Serie A giants Juventus who have been heavily linked with an interest in him.
Brighton will not let their star midfielder move cheap and will be expecting a top price in order to sell him.
The Seagulls have a great record when it comes to selling players in recent years, earning bigs sums from stars such as Ben White, Marc Cucurella and Yves Bissouma.
The club are also likely to lose Moises Caicedo this summer, so will be less in a position to accommodate teams wanting to poach their talent. More

Graham Potter reveals Chelsea January transfer STILL doesn’t have green light to play ahead of Southampton clash

GRAHAM POTTER has revealed that January signing Andrey Santos still hasn’t received the green light to play for the club. Santos, 18, signed for the Blues in a deal worth an initial £13million from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama in January but has yet to play for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

The midfielder has been denied a work permit after missing out by just one point due to the other midfielders the Premier League side snapped up in January.
Chelsea, who signed eight players in the recent transfer window, reportedly applied for an exceptional talent visa to allow Santos to play.
But it has so far been turned down despite the teen starring at the South American U20 Championship, where he captained Brazil to the title and also finished as the joint-top scorer with six goals.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Southampton this weekend, Potter provided an update.

He said: “Andrey’s still in the same place. We’re looking at what the options are for him.”
The development has put top Brazilian clubs on alert with the Chelsea man likely to be available on loan if his work permit application gets rejected.
Santos ended his Vasco career with eight goals in 38 appearances.
The teenager was delighted to join the west London side earlier this year.

He said: “It’s a very big opportunity for me, this is a big club playing in big competitions like the Premier League, so I am very excited. The players here are so good and I am very happy to be here.” More

The Belgian midfielder started to show his potential after leaving for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
He then moved to Manchester City in 2015 and has gone on to become one of the best midfielders in the world.

De Bruyne only made nine appearances in the Premier League for the Blues.

Mikel however, has now suggested why the 31-year-old might not have become a success.
The former Blues midfielder said on Dubai Eye: “Kevin was always a stroppy guy, he was always on his own, he was always moody, he was always grumpy.

    “What a joy to watch.”
The Nigerian also spoke on another Chelsea flop that has gone on to become a world beater.
When asked if he thought Liverpool star Mohamed Salah would go on to have the career that he has had, Mikel replied: “No. He was in tears, and what happened is [Mourinho] didn’t let him back on to the pitch in the second half. He took him off.
“It would have been easy to just take him off and say ‘you’re not playing well, off you go, sit down, you’re not going back on to the pitch.’
“But he ripped into him and took him off.”
Salah left the Blues for Serie A and after excelling at spells with Fiorentina and Roma, he earned a move back to the Premier League with Liverpool in 2017.
Since then he has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and Club World Cup.
The forward has also netted 174 goals in 286 appearances for the Reds. More

Neymar, who was slammed for enjoying a McDonald’s and hitting a casino after the midweek loss, was also involved in a dressing-room row with chief Luis Campos on Sunday after being beaten 3-1 at Monaco.

Chelsea ace Thiago Silva launches X-rated rant in defence of Enzo Fernandez as he slams media’s ‘f***ing disrespect’

With the game at 0-0, Fernandez found himself as the last man back at a Chelsea corner as Dortmund sprung on the counter attack.
Before long the midfielder was one-on-one with speedster Karim Adeyemi who ruthlessly charged at the Chelsea goal.
Fernandez was beaten for speed before the German forward went around Kepa Arrizabalaga and slotted home Dortmund’s goal.
Brazilian media outlet TNT made fun of the Argentine and posted a caption of “Call the Uber” on their Instagram page alongside a picture of a sheepish-looking Fernandez.

The defender added a thumbs-down emoji with his message.
Chelsea now have their work cut out for the return leg at Stamford Bridge and will need to score twice against the Germans.

And according to RMC Sport, boss Galtier’s position at PSG has weakened.
The Frenchman, regarded as one of the country’s current best coaches only behind France World Cup-winning boss Didier Deschamps, will remain coach of the Parisian club up to March 8.
That gives the ex-Lille manager the second leg against Bayern.
However, after that, his position will be determined by results.

The report states that there were concerns in the summer before Galtier joined, whether he could lead their dressing room filled with football’s biggest personalities.
Fast forward six months, and those same questions are shared by the decision-makers in Doha, Qatar.
A name being touted as Galtier’s replacement is Tuchel.

He won two Ligue 1 titles and guided the team to their first-ever Champions League final, which they lost to Bayern in 2020.
Tuchel was dismissed that year, joined Chelsea and won the Champions League in 2021.
But he has been out of work since late last year after being sacked by Chelsea’s new ownership, headed by Todd Boehly.
His departure came shortly after a summer transfer splurge, which saw the Blues blow close to £300million on eight high-profile players.
Despite his strained relationship with PSG chief Leonardo, Tuchel still has supporters at the club.
PSG also remain big admirers of Zinedine Zidane, who they were keen on after dropping Mauricio Pochettino in the summer.
The France football icon has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid in 2021.
Zidane was said to be wanting to take over from Deschamps as France boss post-World Cup.
However, France have confirmed Deschamps will lead the team at Euro 2024 – a competition he hasn’t won as a manager.
