The La Liga giants were charged with corruption last week after it emerged that club chiefs continued to pay the head of Spain’s refereeing committee over a period of 17 years.
And on top of that, they have been banned from buying any players this summer due to Financial Fair Play.
Barca president Joan Laporta could be forced to resign from his post as a result of the club’s turmoil.
And a number of players could have to leave the club as officials desperately look to raise funds.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, one of the players expected to go is Raphinha.
Chelsea and Newcastle are understood to be keen on signing the Brazilian.
However, Raphinha does not want to leave Barcelona.

The winger has scored nine goals and assisted nine in 37 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona so far this season.
He has also played a crucial role in the club’s La Liga title charge.
Raphinha joined the Catalan giants in a £55million transfer from Leeds last summer after rejecting a move to Chelsea.
But Barca chiefs are convinced that they could earn a profit if they decided to sell the winger at the end of the season. More

Dortmund’s ‘disturbing’ Jude Bellingham statements after Man Utd and Chelsea transfer target struggles for form

BORUSSIA DORTMUND have hinted at the reason behind Jude Bellingham’s drop off in form. The England international, 19, enjoyed a tremendous first half of the season before he shone for his country at the World Cup.

But he has struggled to regain that level of performance in recent weeks.
And it is now a month since he registered a goal or assist for the Bundesliga giants.
Sporting director Sebastian Kehl was quizzed about Bellingham’s difficulties following Dortmund’s 2-2 draw with Schalke over the weekend.
He said: “Maybe he’s missing a goal here or there that he scored in the first half of the season.

“He works. He wants and wants. And yet there are times when that’s okay. You also have to admit that a player doesn’t always play at the highest level.
“But I know with him that he works hard on himself. That’s where it goes.”
However, Kehl then hinted at Bellingham carrying an injury after being asked specifically about the bandaging he has been wearing on his left knee.
Kehl replied: “He has been treated regularly over the past few weeks.

“That may end up costing one or two per cent. We hope that we can get this under control quickly.”
Pressed further on the knee problem, he cryptically added: “As long as he can play, everything is fine.”
German newspaper Bild described the comments as “disturbing” as Dortmund fans face an anxious wait over the fitness of their star midfielder.
Bellingham has been heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund this summer, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid among the clubs keen to sign him.
Meanwhile, Dortmund’s run of eight Bundesliga wins in a row came to an end at the hands of Schalke as they dropped two points behind Bayern Munich in the title race.
It came just four days after Edin Terzic’s side were dumped out of the Champions League by Chelsea. More

talkSPORT commentator unhappy with BBC for using his commentary during Chelsea vs Man Utd clash

A COMMENTATOR has said he wished the BBC had not used his commentary over their Women’s Super League coverage as the Gary Lineker row rolls on.

talkSPORT‘s Nigel Adderley was working for the FA world feed as the Beeb scrambled for replacements to work on Chelsea v Manchester United.

Nigel Adderley has made clear where he stands in the BBC’s civil war

Presenters, pundits and commentators have withdrawn their services in solidarity after Lineker was suspended for controversial criticism of the Government’s migration policy.

It left BBC Radio 5 Live stripped of its usual Saturday coverage, Football Focus and Final Score pulled off the air and a strange, shortened Match of the Day with no studio presentation.

The BBC narrowly avoided a live 90 minute game without commentary as they were able to get world feed commentary for the match at Kingsmeadow.

But Adderley revealed he agreed with his colleagues’ protests.

He said on Twitter: “To be clear, I was commentating on Chelsea v Man U for the FA’s World Feed coverage.

“I wasn’t booked by the BBC and I won’t be paid by them. In all honesty, I would rather they hadn’t taken it but they were entitled to.

“I entirely support the stance of other colleagues from MOTD.”

The game finished 1-0 to Chelsea after Sam Kerr’s winner, putting the Blues three points clear at the top in the WSL’s fascinating four-way title tussle.

BETTING SPECIAL – BEST FOOTBALL BETTING SITES IN THE UK

And the game began on an awkward note as a technical glitch left viewers with no commentary at the beginning of the match.

Adderley’s stance reflects the broadcasting community’s continuing backing of Lineker, with Match of the Day 2 also to have a reduced format on Sunday night.

The extraordinary standoff could come to an end sooner rather than later with Lineker reportedly in talks with BBC boss Tim Davie over getting him back on air for Saturday’s live FA Cup coverage.

Meanwhile, Lineker allies and MOTD pundits Ian Wright and Alan Shearer were back on the telly today for Premier League TV. More

Felix joined the Blues in January for a fee of £10million and after a shaky start has largely impressed.
The Portugal international was sent off on his debut against Fulham, but has since been a key figure in Chelsea’s recent improvement.
Felix left the LaLiga side along with Matheus Cunha, who joined Wolves, after a disappointing first half of the season with Atletico.
The club was knocked out of the Champions League in the group stage and have been well off the pace of rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“Totally respectable. Joao is picking up the rhythm of the games, he is gaining confidence for the coming season to come back here.
“And to Cunha, I wish him all the best.”
Chelsea do not have an option to buy Felix at the end of his loan deal.
The 23-year-old has also had to deal with people mispronouncing his name in England.

Man Utd want Joao Palhinha but face transfer battle with FIVE Premier League rivals including Arsenal and Chelsea

MANCHESTER UNITED are eyeing Fulham star Joao Palhinha to beef up their midfield this summer.United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all monitoring the Portuguese.

But boss Marco Silva is determined to resist bids for the star.
Fulham paid an initial £17million to sign Palhinha from Sporting Lisbon last year but his performances so far in this campaign will have more than doubled his value to £40m-plus.
He has made more tackles than any midfielder in the big five leagues in Europe and has been the heartbeat of Silva’s side as they chase qualification for Uefa competition next season.
Palhinha’s price tag is also pushed up by the fact that he still has more than four years left on his contract, with the club holding another year’s option.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
Because of his age – he will turn 28 in July – the Fulham star may not be the first choice of top clubs who have a policy of signing younger players.
Liverpool are also said to be confident of signing Palhinha’s Portugal team-mate Matheus Nunes from Wolves, and possibly compatriot Ruben Neves, to revamp their midfield.
But Moises Caicedo, another target for the Reds as well as for Chelsea and Arsenal, has signed a new contract with Brighton that will send his price tag soaring.
And even if the Ecuador international leaves the south coast, only one club will be able to sign him.

So Palhinha will be high on the list of candidates as the biggest clubs in England look to strengthen their options in the middle of the pitch.
But he will not be available to Fulham for today’s clash with Arsenal because he is serving the second game of a two-match suspension for racking up ten yellow cards.  More
