      Man Utd set to beat Chelsea in transfer race for England wonderkid with Red Devils in ‘advanced talks’

      MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly set to beat Chelsea in the race for teenage wonderkid Harry Amass. The highly-rated 16-year-old has already managed to attract the interest of England’s biggest clubs while in Watford’s youth academy.

      Amass has shown such promise he was even included in a first-team squad for the Hornets back in January.
      But now he appears set to leave Vicarage Road and head to Man United, according to the Evening Standard.
      Chelsea had been in the hunt for the youngster to bolster their youth ranks and develop the star further.
      But Amass is in advanced talks with the Red Devils over a move.

      The England U16s star reportedly believes that training with a top-tier academy could help further his development more quickly than staying with Watford.
      Amass has been tracked by the country’s biggest clubs since breaking into the national set up at St George’s Park in 2021.
      He was part of the England U16 side who won silverware for England at a Uefa Development tournament last month.
      At club level the defender plays for Watford’s U18 side who are currently eighth in the Professional Development League.

      Another outstanding season for Dortmund and his dazzling displays for England during the World Cup have only increased his value.
      Fans will hope to see him in action over the coming days as he prepares to don his Three Lions shirt for Euro qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine.
      But before the action can begin, fans gathered at St George’s Park to watch the England stars train as they prepare for their first international match since leaving Qatar.
      Bellingham was pictured signing a Liverpool shirt as he greeted supporters in what Reds fans will hope is a glimmer of the future.

      The young supporter, already wearing a Liverpool shirt with Mohamed Salah’s name on the back, holds up another shirt to sign which Bellingham does.
      Anfield is among the destinations where Bellingham could end up, with Jurgen Klopp known to be a big fan of the midfielder.
      Liverpool’s hopes of landing him could rest on whether or not the club can get themselves back in the Champions League next season.
      But several other clubs with big pockets are lining up alongside Liverpool, including Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG.

      CHELSEA supporters have slammed the makers of hit TV show Ted Lasso and Todd Boehly after a tribute to club legend Ray Wilkins was doctored to celebrate character Roy Kent in its latest episode.The hit comedy programme’s main character Lasso is an American coach that has been appointed as fictional Premier League club AFC Richmond.

      It is now in its third series and another much-loved character Kent – who is modelled on nonsense pundit and Manchester United legend Roy Keane – goes back to his former side Chelsea, where he enjoys legendary status in the story.
      He is now assistant manager at AFC Richmond and in the latest episode the Blues fans show their appreciation for him with a banner in the stands.
      It read: “They don’t make them like Roy anymore.”
      While supporters are also heard singing: “He’s here, he’s there, he’s every f***ing where, Roy Kent, Roy Kent.”

      The commentator then adds: “That’s a lovely moment. Chelsea fans letting their former captain Roy Kent know how they still feel about him.”
      But upon further inspection it seems that the producers of the show have in fact doctored a banner dedicated to the late Chelsea club legend Wilkins.
      The former England, Manchester United, PSG and AC Milan ace died aged 61 in 2018 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
      Wilkins made over 200 appearances for Chelsea during his six years at the club from 1973 and he also enjoyed spells there as assistant manager to Luiz Felipe Scolari, Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti.

      Following his death the West London club unveiled a banner in his honour which is still on display at home games today that reads: “They don’t make them like Ray anymore.”
      And since the episode aired on Apple TV fans have been quick to slam both the club’s owner and the rest of the hierarchy as well as the TV show itself.
      A statement from the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust said: “RE: Ray Wilkins Banner This is a banner paid for by supporters to commemorate a Chelsea legend: Ray Wilkins. 
      “Many supporters have seen this edit to be disrespectful, and we have expressed our disappointment to club officials. We expect that CFC will address this in due course.”
      Other fans expressed their anger on Twitter, with one writing: “NOW THIS is disgusting. Incredibly disrespectful to edit a banner of the late Ray Wilkins. Hugely concerning and embarrassing to think that Chelsea would have sanctioned this.”
      Another tweeted: “Yeah this ain’t it, all for Chelsea and it’s likeness being used in Ted Lasso but Ray Wilkins is a Chelsea legend who can’t even consent to his banner being changed. How they thought this would go down well I’ll never know….”
      While another raged: “This is absolutely disgusting, editing over the Ray Wilkins banner to “Roy” for a TV publicity stunt with Ted Lasso, extremely disrespectful.”

      He has suffered a difficult start to life in LaLiga, where he has previous experience following loan stints with Getafe and Granada, due to fitness issues.
      Two groin injuries have limited him to just four cameo appearances so far this season.

      The club’s Twitter account revealed Kenedy’s latest tattoo, which covers his full head, showing the image of Jesus.
