    Declan Rice
The ex-West Ham midfielder was a top transfer target for the Blues, until the Gunners swooped to sign him.
Now a regular in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, it appeared the Blues missed a trick when they released him at the age of 14.
Rice revealed how he ‘broke down’ following the news but moved to the Hammers where he has cemented his reputation as one of the best defensive midfielders in the country.
A move back to his boyhood club appeared almost inevitable, before Roman Abramovich’s sanction woes, but now they will have to see him wear the red and white of Arsenal.

The 22-year-old striker joined Chelsea aged seven having turned down the likes of Arsenal.
At the age of 14, he quit to join Liverpool where he felt his development was better suited elsewhere.
He made just three competitive appearances for the Reds but a loan stint at Swansea highlighted his potential.
The England U17s World Cup winner bagged 10 in 20 for the Swans and earned a £23.5million move to Sheffield United in 2020.
He suffered relegation with the Blades, and found goals hard to come by in the Championship with just one goal in 17 games last season.
Will be hoping to regain his earlier form in the Premier League again this season.

    Nathan Ake
The Dutch defender was rewarded with a £40million switch to Man City in 2020 and a Treble winning-season last year after spending three impressive seasons at Bournemouth.
He joined Chelsea’s academy in 2011 from Feyenoord and had three loan spells with Reading, Watford and the Cherries.
Ake made seven league appearances for Chelsea before sealing his permanent move to Bournemouth for £20m in 2017.

In his past two seasons, Nketiah has scored 19 goals for the Gunners in all competitions.
    Bertrand Traore
Traore was first linked with a move to Chelsea in 2010 from Auxerre but it was 2013 when he was finally announced.
He was loaned to Vitesse and Ajax before making ten league appearances for Chelsea, scoring twice.

Mauricio Pochettino confirms Romelu Lukaku’s Chelsea career is over as he says ‘everybody agrees’ on transfer

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has poured cold water on the possibility for Romelu Lukaku to reignite his Chelsea career.Blues boss Poch left out several key names from his 29-man United States touring group this pre-season as he continues his epic squad streamlining in West London.

Romelu Lukaku has been told he has no future at the West London clubCredit: Getty
He has overseen a mass departure this summer with ELEVEN outgoings so far, including Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as Christian Pulisic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy.
Meanwhile, Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi are continuing their summer conditioning back in England with the expectation they will leave the club.
Following his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Poch revealed he wanted Lukaku to arrive at pre-season on time ahead of a conversation about his future at the club.
However, it now seems Lukaku is destined to play his football away from Chelsea this upcoming season, with both Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus linked.

Asked about his decision to keep Lukaku and his three teammates at home, Poch explained: “It is the club and of course it is an interesting situation.
“When this type of decision is [made, it is] because they all agree. The player and club are working hard to try and find best solution.”
Poch continued: “It is obvious the decision had been made on the side of the player also. We act in consequence of the decision. The club and player are in the position they wanted.”
Lukaku – who re-signed for Chelsea from Inter for a club-record £97m in the summer of 2021 – is determined to return to Italy where he spent last campaign on loan with the Nerazzurri, scoring 14 goals in 37 outings and reaching the Champions League final.

Chelsea were originally keen to offloads Lukaku to the Saudi Super League, along with the likes of former stars N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy.
However, Lukaku has no interest in playing in Saudi Arabia, despite the hefty wage increase.
Poch also has a decision to make on defender Levi Colwill, who spent last season on loan with Brighton and is wanted back by the Seagulls, seeing a £30m bid recently turned down.
Wesley Fofana’s recent operation on a ruptured ACL leaves the Argentine coach short at the back, and he has made it clear he expects Colwill to fight for his place instead of leaving.
On Colwill, Poch said: “We were talking. It was a nice talk. It is important that they need to know us.
“To know what we think, to see that the competition will be tough but to challenge for that and know they can be in the starting XI because football is about competing.
“They understood and we understood what they wanted to translate to us. All is clear and we are happy with all the players we have in the USA.” More

This summer alone 11 players have left the club – with the team also trying to ship out wantaway stars such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku.
And with Cesar Azpilicueta leaving the club after 11 years of service, Chelsea now have a surprise longest serving player in Ethan Ampadu.
The Chelsea academy graduate made his full debut in 2017 when he came off the bench in a Premier League game against Huddersfield.
Ampadu was just 16 at the time and was thought to be one of the next big things at Chelsea.

Then manager Maurizio Sarri even dubbed the defender as “the future of Chelsea”.
Since his debut, Ampadu hasn’t featured again in the Premier League and has found himself regularly out on loan.
He last made an appearance for the Chelsea first team in 2018 and has since then enjoyed loan spells at RB Leipzig, Sheffield United, and Serie A sides Venezia and Spezia – although he has suffered three successive relegations while out on temporary moves.
Chelsea fans on Twitter expressed their surprise at the news that Ampadu is now their longest serving player.

Cudicini is overseeing the training of the club’s Under-21s and wantaway players such as Lukaku.
If the club were to find a move for Ampadu this summer, their longest serving player would become Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been at the club since August 2018.
The club’s next longest serving player is Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest and Saudi Arabia. More
