The 22-year-old was once one of the most highly rated prospects in the country, but is no longer at the top of his game.
Back in 2020 when he had first made a name for himself at Chelsea, Bayern Munich tried to steal him away from The Blues in a deal worth a whopping £70million.
But just three years later and he is now leaving Stamford Bridge for the City Ground in a deal worth pennies in comparison.
The Telegraph has revealed that Forest have actually signed Hudson-Odoi for just £3million with £2m of potential add-ons.

It had first been said that the tricky winger would be leaving for £8million, but that was later corrected to the true fee.
And the bargain price tag has left Chelsea fans stunned – leading many of them to head to social media to voice their opinions on the matter.
One said: “Imagine he thrives now, £5m could be an absolutely insane deal.”
Another added: “This fee baffles me. Why so cheap?”

    A third commented: “£5m, I’m crying.”
Whilst another fan joked that there must be a mistake with the numbers, they wrote: “I think you missed out a zero there.”
Hudson-Odoi burst on to the scene back in the 2019/2020 when he was playing regular minutes for Chelsea.
He even earned himself a call-up to the England squad and was capped three times for the Three Lions.
But his playing time began to dry up and after struggling to get minutes he spent last season on loan in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
Even there he had a hard time getting on the pitch as he made just 14 league appearances all season registering one assist and failing to score a goal.
There will be high hopes for the Englishman in Nottingham as Forest look to improve on their 16th place Premier League finish last season.
The Tricky Trees had a busy deadline day which saw them sign an incredible SEVEN players including Divock Origi and Nuno Tavares.

Noni Madueke’s excellent showing was rewarded when he won a penalty of his own and slotted home before the break, showing possible new boy Cole Palmer that he won;t be brushed aside.
It took super-sub Enzo Fernandez to come off the bench to win it and here is how Jack Figg rated the Blues.
    Sanchez – 6
Was at fault for Wimbledon’s equaliser as he rushed off his line, taking out Harry Pell to give away the penalty. The Spaniard did make up for it by looking confident off his line thereafter.
    Disasi – 6
Made an excellent block in the second half to deny Wimbledon taking another shock lead.

    Colwill – 7
Confident performance from Chelsea’s latest academy starlet. Solid at the back and is proving to be a good passer of the ball.
    Humphreys – 6
Deployed on the right of the back four and was troubled little. Didn’t need to commit too far forward as Madueke ran the show down his flank.

    Ugochukwu – 6
Played the deepest of the three and provided good cover when Wimbledon broke on the counter.
    Gallagher – 7
Captained the side and stepped up to the responsibility. The England international was positive going forward and pushed Chelsea up the field well.

Showed signs of promise with quick touches in tight areas. Could maybe have been more selfish with efforts from distance.
    Cucurella – 6
Booed by the home crowd when his name was read out amid transfer interest from Manchester United. His hopeful pass led to Wimbledon’s mistake for Fernandez’s winner.

    Madueke – 9
Simply excellent. Caused defenders nightmares all night running at them with pace and power. His equaliser from the spot, having won the penalty, sealed an excellent performance.
    Moreira – 5
Struggled with his first touch at times despite some nice link-ups on the left with Cucurella. Looked like a man in need of more minutes.

    Burstow – 4
Found himself slightly isolated in the first half while leading the line. Looked more confident when Jackson was brought on.
    Subs
Jackson (for Moreira at half time) – 6
Real positive off the bench for Chelsea, driving forward and being a menace to defenders.
    Fernandez (for Burstow 65 mins) – 7
Took his goal well and threatened several times from distance. Blues fans can expect a screamer or two this season.
    Gusto (for Colwill 65 mins) – 6
Provided much more of a threat down the right flank than Humphreys. Looks to be a good fill in for Reece James.

And, including add-ons, the Palmer deal means they have now surpassed the £1billion mark since Boehly took over last year.
The 21-year-old, who looks set to become the latest addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, won the age group Euros with England in the summer.
According to The Times, Chelsea have reached an agreement with City for the Wythenshawe-born player.
They go on to state the Blues are “close” to completing the signing.

Palmer scored the opening goal in Man City’s Community Shield defeat to Arsenal earlier this month, before he also netted in their Super Cup win over Sevilla.
But he has managed just ten minutes of action in their first three Premier League games – with that cameo coming off the bench in a 3-0 victory over Burnley.
Palmer has registered six goals and two assists in 41 games for Man City.
He featured 25 times for Pep Guardiola’s Treble winners last season.

However, just seven of those came as a starter as he has been forced to play a bit-part role in City’s successes.
Brighton saw a £30m bid for Palmer rejected.
Earlier in the window, Guardiola spoke about the young attacker, saying: “I don’t know [if he will stay]. When we arrived I had the opinion that he wanted to leave but now I don’t know.
“I don’t think a loan is going to happen. He’s going to stay or he’s going to be sold.”
The move will mean Pochettino has further bolstered his attacking options following injuries to Christopher Nkunku and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Boehly has already splashed the cash on several signings this summer including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez and Lesley Ugochukwu.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe. More
