      They have been tracking the trio previously in the past – but now it has emerged that they have also scouted Gvardiol since he broke through the ranks at Dinamo Zagreb in his homeland.
      The West London outfit have “sent scouts to watch him personally on at least two occasions” and they have continued to track his progress since from afar.

      Chelsea slam ‘entirely false’ claims owner Roman Abramovich wants £1.6bn loan repaid in statement in huge takeover boost

      ROMAN ABRAMOVICH has maintained he is NOT demanding the repayment of his £1.6billion loan to Chelsea.And the sanctioned Blues owner insisted he has engaged with the Government to discuss how the promised charity donation from the sale should be carried out.

      Government sources hinted that Abramovich had made a U-turn on his initial pledge and demanded the money that had kept the Blues going for the past 19 years was paid to a Jersey-based company as part of the sale deal.
      The consortium led by Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly is understood to be close to completing the final details of the package, despite the last-gasp bid by Ineos owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
      But the entire process was seemingly endangered by the claims that Abramovich was now demanding some financial compensation for being effectively forced to sell up after being branded an acolyte and supporter of Vladimir Putin and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
      Now, though, Abramovich has come out fighting, with a statement posted on the Chelsea website that dismissed those claims.

      This is despite the 55-year-old previously stating that he would NOT be asking for any loans to be repaid when he put the club up for sale.

      Chelsea takeover bid from Jim Ratcliffe rejected ‘out of hand’ after Brit billionaire’s £4.25 BILLION offer

      JIM RATCLIFFE’S last-gasp £4.25billion bid for Chelsea FC has been rejected.The INEOS chairman placed the offer last week with the intention of creating a “very fine club in London”.

      But according to Telegraph football correspondent Matt Law, Tom Crotty, director of communications and corporate affairs at INEOS, confirmed that the Raine group has told Ratcliffe that his offer is not currently part of the process.
      Despite the setback, Ratcliffe is refusing to give up on his pursuit.

      Meanwhile, the other two consortiums, one led by Sir Martin Broughton and the other by Stephen Pagliuca, were informed they were almost out of the running.
      However, Chelsea have now confirmed that Roman Abramovich wants the £1.6billion he had loaned to the club through an investment vehicle repaid in full.
      This could block any deal from going through.
