Meet the personal shopper to Chelsea’s Mount, James and Gilmour, with stars spending up to £27,000 on designer clothes

FORGET London’s fashionable King’s Road, these Chelsea stars prefer a much more private and exclusive shopping experience.Blues Champions League heroes Mason Mount, Reece James, Billy Gilmour and Timo Werner are all clients of personal shopper, Jack Zambakides.
Jack Zambakides is the personal shopper to Chelsea’s stars
Zambakides in his showroom with Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour
The 24-year-old entrepreneur launched his business LS Personal Shopper last year, and has already attracted the country’s top footballers, who spend up to £27,000 in one visit to his Surrey showroom.
From designer threads by Balenciaga and Off White to hard-to-get customised Nike trainers, Zambakides has become the middle man for sports stars looking to avoid busy Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.
Remarkably, the Chelsea fan – who is living his dream – is close to bringing in £5million this year since launching LS Personal Shopper just 18-months ago.
“I’ve always been a bit of a wheeler-dealer and clothes and trainers seemed like something I could make a bit of money from,” Zambakides told SunSport.
“I first set up an Instagram page and then set up a website, and I remember being sat in a cafe with a friend of mine and a PayPal sale popped up and someone was sending me £270.
“It was my first sale, and from that moment I became hooked. I grew up in Surrey, where a lot of footballers live, and I got to know a lot of them.
“Luckily, in the last year, it has really exploded. Mason Mount, when he was at Derby, was probably the first player I sold to. He has helped me massively in journey.
“It snowballed from there thanks to word-of-mouth.”

Blues defender Reece James is a happy customer
Mason Mount was LS Personal Shopper’s first client
LS Personal Shopper operates from a secret showroom in Surrey
Today, with footballers being instantly recognised wherever they go, many want privacy. That means shopping trips to Bond Street, Selfridges or the King’s Road have lost their appeal.
But LS Personal Shopper provides the same service, if not arguably better, and operates from a secret Surrey location away from prying eyes.
“A lot of the players come to see us because it’s a private shopping experience,” Zambakides revealed.
“It’s not so easy for them to go into Selfridges and buy what they want. They just want to go in and out, but somewhere public like that they may get stopped for photos or asked to sign autographs.
“While I’m sure they would be generous to fans, it doesn’t give them the privacy and exclusivity they want.
“With us, we know their measurements, know what fits them well, what brands they like and style them accordingly.”
Zambakides has built up an army of contacts for designer clothes and trainers, who he can rely on to fulfil his clients’ needs.
He also works with brands and retailers in reselling their fashions on, as the thirst for Instagram shopping and buying online grows.
A lot of the players come to see us because it’s a private shopping experience.”
Trainers like these Dior B22’s are popular among footballers and cost £1,350
Mount poses with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba wearing an outfit sourced by LS Personal Shopper
The most a footballer has ever spent with me in one go was around £27,000,”
However, where LS Personal Shopper differs is that it bridges that gap thanks to an office space that allows clients to see the clothing and footwear in person.
Adding that personal touch has allowed Zambakides to make a tidy profit.
“The most a footballer has ever spent with me in one go was around £27,000,” Zambakides said.
“It was Christmas, and the presents were for all the family. We wrapped everything up and dropped it round for them.
“It’s not unusual for a footballer to spend £10,000 with us, when you consider a hoodie or a pair of trainers could be a £1,000 – it can add up pretty quick.”
Brands including Off White, Palm Angels, Balenciaga and Nike Air Jordan – which have enjoyed a renaissance since the release of Netflix’s The Last Dance documentary – are proving to be most popular with Premier League stars.
“There’s a rare shoe, the Jordan 1 Retro High Travis Scott that we sell that the players really love,” Zambakides said.
“There’s a customiser in the US who gets the original shoe, which is already worth about £1,500, and he puts real snakeskin on top.
These customised Jordan 1 Retro High Travis Scott sell for around £3,000 and are sought-after by today’s footballers
Blues stars like Gilmour enjoy the privacy of shopping at LS Personal Shopper
“That brings the value up to about £3,000, and we’ve sold a few of them recently.
“Players have contacted me when someone has walked into the dressing room and asked me if they got them from us. They are very sought-after.”
Amusingly, off-the-pitch, footballers are also keen to know who’s been buying what.
“They are always interested in finding out what other footballers have been buying,” Zambakides laughed.
“Where they are friends, we can sort of play them off against each other. If we know they’re going on holiday together, we might say, ‘Mate, you wouldn’t believe what he’s bought. He’s going to look 10 out of 10 in that outfit.’
“We did the same at Christmas time, saying things like, ‘He’s bought you the best gift, you’re going to have to get him something really nice'”
For Zambakides, as a lifelong Blues fan, selling clothes to his favourite players is a dream come true.
He also sees similar character traits with football stars as he does in himself through his journey.
He said: “I’m a Chelsea fan, I’ve had season tickets since I was five or six, so at first it was quite surreal.

West Ham star Declan Rice is another client for LS Personal Shopper
Rice shows his appreciation with a signed shirt to the LS Personal Shopper team

“But you soon realise that they’re just normal, young guys, and I think we share similar traits.
“I’m driven on this business journey of mine and have worked hard. They’ve also had to be dedicated to reach the top and have put in the extra graft as well.”
Should Chelsea’s stars win the Champions League on Saturday, expect some of them to splash their win bonuses on designer wear from LS Personal Shopper.

It was the first time Big Sam had ever experienced dropping out of the top-flight in more than 500 games as manager.
West Brom chiefs are now on the hunt for a new boss to lead their Championship charge as they aim to break back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Ex-Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was an early frontrunner to take over.
But Lampard is also on the club’s shortlist and is likely to be interviewed for the role, according to respected local reports.
The former England midfielder has experienced life in the Championship before having managed Derby before taking over at Chelsea.
While Rams chief, Lampard was able to bring in Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori on loan – setting them on the way to stardom.
With the two Chelsea loanees on the books, Lampard led Derby to the Championship play-offs final in his debut season – losing to Aston Villa.
Lampard lasted just 18 months in charge of the Blues before he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

But the German – who helped lead the club to a top-four spot – piled praise on his predecessor for laying the groundworks for him.
Lampard – also a Crystal Palace target in recent weeks – has said he is open to working in the Championship again.
Last week, Lampard claimed: “I’m not rushing into anything, but if the opportunity arises and it’s the right one then I want to work again.
“I love working in management more than I thought I would.”

Ex-Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and Jody Morris set to split to take up separate coaching roles as both prepare for return

FORMER Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and Jody Morris are reportedly set to part ways ahead of their returns to football.Blues icon Lampard, 42, took his close friend with him to Derby in 2018 where he appointed him as his assistant manager.

And Chelsea’s all-time top scorer then brought the 42-year-old with him when he returned to Stamford Bridge a year later to take charge of his beloved side.
Both men – who played together at Chelsea during the early 2000s – are out of a job having had their contracts in West London terminated in January.
According to the Daily Mail, the pair are ready to take up separate coaching roles.
They state that Morris could be eyeing up his first managerial job having caught the interest of a number of clubs.
It has been suggested that while the duo’s careers will continue without each other, they haven’t ruled out working together again in the future.
Lampard – who was last week inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame – has been heavily linked with the vacant hotseat at Crystal Palace.
Reports have stated that the former Manchester City midfielder is the leading contender to replace Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park.
And it has even been claimed that he has already held talks with the Eagles to become their new boss in the summer.

Lampard has spoken of his desire of managing a ‘huge club’ again following his dismissal from Chelsea.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “What I wake up with every day is: ‘I want to work again’.
“I love the idea of trying to improve individuals or a squad. I’ve become addicted to that.
“The minute I stepped into Derby to this minute now, it’s something I feel compelled to do.

Edouard Mendy suffering ‘big pain’ in ribs as Tuchel confirms major Chelsea injury scare before Champions League final

EDOUARD MENDY gave Chelsea an almighty scare ahead of next weekend’s Champions League final after he limped off with ‘big pain’ in his ribs against Aston Villa. The Blues take on Manchester City on Saturday in a bid to win their first European Cup in nine years.

But Thomas Tuchel was dealt a cruel blow after star goalkeeper Mendy picked up a potentially serious injury in Sunday’s Premier League finale.
Ex-Chelsea star Bertrand Traore opened the scoring for Villa after rifling home from a cheeky corner-kick routine.
Mendy had dived in a desperate bid to stop the ball from hitting the back of the net, with the Blues’ top-four place on the line.
But the Senegalese stopper failed to keep it out and, more worryingly, seemed to hurt himself after colliding with the post.
Mendy played through the pain for the final two minutes of the first-half.
But he never reappeared for the second period, with Kepa Arrizabalaga being introduced off the bench.
With under a week to go until the Champions League final in Portugal, Tuchel may be forced to play Kepa between the sticks.
The Blues boss confirmed the club would do whatever it takes to get Mendy ready for the game.

Tuchel said: “He fell into the frame of the net… he feels a big pain in his ribs.
“We will have an update tomorrow with what is going on.
“We will see if [playing in Champions League final] is possible.
“If it is possible, we will push to do everything so he is in goal on Saturday.”
And things went from bad to worse for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge shortly after half-time.
Just seven minutes into the second period, Jorginho brought down Traore in the box, with a penalty awarded to the visitors.
Mendy had attempted to save Traore’s goal-bound shot but collided with the post in the processCredit: Getty
Anwar El Ghazi coolly rolled the ball past Kepa to make it 2-0.
With Chelsea’s top-four hopes crumbling, Timo Werner thought he’d pulled one back just ten minutes later.
But the goal was ruled out with the German deemed to have been in an offside position.
Ben Chilwell did eventually pull a goal back with 20 minutes to play, but Cesar Azpilicueta was sent off in the dying embers of the game for lashing out at Jack Grealish.
Chelsea lost, but still finished the season fourth thanks to Tottenham beating Leicester 4-2, as Liverpool moved up to third by beating Crystal Palace 2-0.
But for now, all eyes will turn to next weekend’s Champions League final… and Mendy’s fitness.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich jumps up to 8th on Sunday Times Rich List as he adds almost £2BILLION to net worth

CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich has climbed to EIGHTH on the Sunday Times Rich List after adding nearly £2billion to his net worth. The Russian businessman, 54, jumped up four spots – from 12th in 2020 into the top ten in 2021.
Roman Abramovich has climbed four places to eighth on the Sunday Times Rich List after adding nearly £2bn to his net worth in the past yearCredit: PA
Abramovich added £1.945bn to his overall worth in the past 12 months thanks to some success in the steel and mining markets.
That takes the Blues owner to a total of £12.101bn – good for eighth on the Sunday Times Rich list 2021.
The list features the wealthiest, UK-based businesspeople – with Abramovich still holding a place on the list despite not stepping foot in the UK in three years due to visa issues.
The Chelsea chief instead has taken up residence in Israel – but was spotted in Sweden for the Women’s Champions League final.
The Blues were thumped 4-0 by Barcelona earlier this month, but Abramovich was spotted sweetly consoling Emma Hayes and her team with a rare public appearance.
However, Abrahomovich still has a way to go to reach the wealth of Sir Leonard Blavatnik, who takes the No1 spot in the 2021 Rich List.
The American-British-Russian businessman boasts nearly DOUBLE the wealth of Abramovich on £23bn.
Only one other company managed to breach the £20bn barrier, with property and internet gurus David and Simon Reuben worth a total of £21.465bn.

    3. Sri and Gopi Hinduja and family (Industry & finance) – £17bn
    4. Sir James Dyson and family (Household goods & technology) – £16.3bn
    5. Lakshmi Mittal and family (Steel) – £14.68bn
    6. Alisher Usmanov (Mining & investment) – £13.406bn
    7. Kirsten and Jorn Rausing (Inheritance & investment) – £13bn
    8. ROMAN ABRAMOVICH – (Oil & industry) £12.101bn
    9. Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken and Michel de Carvalho (Inheritance, brewing & banking) – £12.013bn
    10. Guy, George, Alannah and Galen Weston and family (Retailing) – £11bn

Further down the list, former Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov sits in sixth – above Abramovich – worth £13.406bn.
Despite rumours he could sell, Abramovich recently revealed his desire to stay on as Chelsea owner.
In March, his visa problems and inability to watch live games, plus the delay on proposed plans to demolish and rebuild the stadium – at an estimated personal cost of £1bn – had led to speculation he was preparing to walk away.
But in a rare interview with Forbes, Abramovich doubled down on his desire to lead Chelsea into the future.
The Russian said: “The ambitions are as true now as they were when I first became owner.
“I hope that can be seen through the work we have been doing on and off the pitch over the last 17 years.
“Chelsea has a very rich history, and I feel extremely fortunate to play a part in that.
“The club was here before me, and will be here after me, but my job is to ensure we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future.
“That’s why the success of our academy at Cobham [training ground] is so important to me.”

During the first coronavirus lockdown of 2020, Chelsea and Abramovich earned rave reviews for the willingness and speed with which they acted to help their staff and people in their local area.
When football was shutdown and other clubs were making staff redundant, Chelsea continued to pay all staff as if matches were being played.
They also offered free meals and accommodation to local NHS staff and provided online programmes for the youth and the elderly.
They also partnered with domestic violence charity Refuge to raise awareness and funds – with more than £600,000 being raised by fans.

Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Season Tino Livramento is pacy attacking full-back, who has captained England youth team

MASON Mount, Reece James, Billy Gilmour and now Tino Livramento. All of these exciting young stars are recipients of Chelsea Academy Player of the Year Award, with the latter crowned this year’s winner for some outstanding displays for Chelsea’s U23 team.

18-year-old Livramento is a pacy full-back, in the mould of Cafu, who is earning rave reviews from the coaching staff in Cobham.
A regular in the Andy Myers’ U23 team, the attacking defender has also impressed first team boss Thomas Tuchel, who named the Croydon-born youngster on the bench against Arsenal and Manchester City.
And it is fully expected that he will push Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James for a starting berth next term.
    BLUE SINCE A BOY
The South Londoner has been with the Blues since he was just eight years old and has risen steadily through the ranks.
But it’s during this campaign Livramento has really stood out at right wing-back for the development squad.
Despite only turning 18 in November, the speedster has appeared 20 times in the Premier League 2.
His gallops forward have also led to six assists and two goals.
And he’s certainly competitive, with four yellow cards and one red to his name already.

    EARNED A PROMOTION
Back in January, Livramento was promoted to first team training before an FA Cup tie against Morecambe when Frank Lampard was boss.
But new manager Thomas Tuchel didn’t want to stand in the way of the exciting talent’s progress.
The German has continued Lampard’s philosophy of giving kids the experience of mingling with the senior stars.
In terms of playing time, his game might be best-suited for Tuchel’s 3-4-3 system with a pushed-up high right wing-back.

THE FANS ARE CALLING FOR HIM
With Chelsea still not mathematically sure of a top-four finish for Champions League football next season, it seems unlikely that Livramento will appear for the Blues in their final game away at Aston Villa.
But that hasn’t stopped Chelsea’s supporters from begging Tuchel to give him his bow.
Having been on the bench against both Arsenal and Manchester City, he could find himself involved in the matchday squad.
And because of his physicality and pace, he certainly won’t look out of place on the pitch.
    CAPTAIN IN THE MAKING?
Chelsea are famous for grooming future captains at the club – just think John Terry.
And in Livramento, they could have another leader in the ranks.

The England youth star, who has appeared for the Three Lions at U16 level all the way through to U19, has captained his country.
Given his meteoric rise, could we see Tino leading his club at Stamford Bridge?
    Don’t best against it.

Chelsea fans claim Ayoze Perez handled ball before Youri Tielemans’ FA Cup final winner

CHELSEA fans have raged on social media that Youri Tielemans’ FA Cup winning-strike should have been chalked off for a handball in the build-up.Supporters vented their fury that Ayoze Perez’s handball went unpunished as the Foxes held on to win their first ever FA Cup.

The moment of controversy came in the 63rd minute at Wembley when the Spaniard intercepted a short pass from Reece James.
His block found its way to left-back Luke Thomas, who slipped in Youri Tielemans, with the Belgian midfielder arrowing a 30-yard drive into the top corner.
Blues players Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and N’Golo Kante immediately rushed over to referee Michael Oliver to complain that the goal should be overturned.
But VAR failed to intervene, despite replays showing the ball cannoning off Perez’s knee on to his hand.
And while it would have been cruel and harsh to overturn the goal as Perez could do nothing about the deflection, Chelsea fans were left incensed.
Their anger was sent into overdrive when Ben Chilwell’s dramatic late equaliser was ruled out by VAR for offside.
One Chelsea fan raged: “No handball apparently but because it’s a good goal not worth taking off they give it.”

A third added: “VAR once again not reviewing legitimate handball claims? Cool.”
Meanwhile one messaged: “If he’s off it’s a handball. There’s just zero consistency.”
Another stated: “Blatant handball not given for their goal and now a goal disallowed that wasn’t even offside. Lost for words.”
One then tweeted: “Handball for the Leicester goal… where was the VAR for that? F*** off. VAR is a load of b*******.”
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was also left in disbelief at the goal being given, as he said: “I didn’t see it.

“My assistant saw it on the screen on the bench and the players said it straight away that is was a handball.
“For the second time, there was a handball against Arsenal and VAR didn’t intervene. Today Leicester score a goal but I’m not an expert in handball.
“I don’t know what is handball now or not. So I can’t comment and give my opinion and I don’t know why it’s OK.”
