      Southgate handed first call-ups to Jarrod Bowen and James Justin in his 27-man England squad for the upcoming Nations League matches.
      The Three Lions boss said about Bowen: “He’s a goal threat, he’s direct, his journey is really interesting in terms of the experiences he’s had.
      “It’s a reminder that you don’t just have to be at an elite academy and come through that pathway, playing in the lower divisions and to have that experience is a great route to go.
      “He works incredibly hard for the team, which we want all our forward players top do. He’s thoroughly deserved his call up.”

      When is Hungary vs England?
      Hungary vs England takes place on Saturday, June 4.
      The Nations League fixture kicks off at 5pm BST.
      Though the game will be played behind closed doors with NO fans in attendance because of racism and hooliganism by Hungary supporters during Euro 2020.

      AN ex-England and Premier League footballer could come out in a TV documentary about gay footballers.He is in talks to open up about his sexuality in a show now in production and planned to be aired on Channel 4.

      All England matches to be shown on Channel 4 free until 2024 in shock new football broadcasting deal

      CHANNEL 4 have poached the rights to show England’s next two seasons of matches.While the World Cup will be screened by ITV and the BBC, Channel 4 will begin its stint as the Three Lions’ main domestic broadcaster in June.

      The Channel has been awarded rights to show the six Nations League group matches against Hungary, Italy and Germany that begin in the summer and conclude with the final two pre-World Cup games in September.
      It means the new England broadcaster will show all the remaining games Gareth Southgate’s side play ahead of their date with destiny in the desert in Qatar in November and December.
      Sky Sports was the previous rights holder for the competition and had initially been expected to keep the games.
      But with Uefa conducting a central auction of rights for the new two-year cycle, Channel 4’s bold bid scooped up both the Nations League games and the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign – which boots ITV out of the England frame.

      Channel 4’s first England game will be the Nations League match with Hungary in Budapest on June 4.
      The channel will show 20 live England games over the two years before the deal runs out shortly before the 2024 Euro finals in Germany.
      All Three Lions friendlies until the start of Euro 2024 are included in the deal.

      Over 2.6million watched on Sky F1 as Hamilton won the last race in Jeddah.
      But those numbers are set to rocket this weekend with it being made more widely available.
      Sky have the rights to broadcast all of F1’s GPs live while C4 only show the British GP live with the rest of their coverage in the form of a highlights show.
      They did come to a ‘sharing’ agreement with Channel 4 for England’s dramatic Cricket World Cup final win in 2019 – so there is precedent.

      Sky are the live rights holders but sources close to Channel 4 told the Times initial discussions have taken place about a deal which would see the race shown on free-to-air terrestrial TV too.
      Hamilton, 36, and Verstappen, 24, are level on points in the drivers’ standings which has set up a mouthwatering final race of the season.
      The Brit would bag a record eighth championship were he to win.
      Channel 4 currently have the highlights rights to the F1 coverage which has encouraged fans.
      But an outcome to the talks is not expected until later this week.
      And there is also said to be a chance the decision may not be made until the weekend.

      LEWIS HAMILTON has called on Formula One to keep fans of the sport’s ‘skyrocketing’ social media – by not pricing them out of watching races on TV.Sky Sports bought the UK rights to show F1 via its subscription service in 2011 and only next month’s British Grand Prix is live on free-to-air TV.

      And while Sky has won awards for its coverage of the race weekend, some fans are unable to afford its dedicated F1 channel.
      Australia, France, Germany and Italy are just some of the others countries which split the season between pay TV and a handful of free-to-air races.
      Hamilton, 36, recognises the sport is far from unique in this approach and hopes fans ‘stay loyal’ amid the rise of followers online.
      He is quoted by Motorsport-Total as saying: “I think it’s all part of the business.
      “I grew up watching the races live on free TV, which attracted a lot of fans.
      “I remember that in Spain there used to be four to six million people tuning in every afternoon at 2pm. That was pretty impressive.
      “There seems to be a tendency to have to pay for what you want on TV. You have to pay for Netflix, you have to pay for everything you want to see.
      “So there’s been a transition. The world has changed.
