Real Madrid fans worried over Isco weight after being spotted in training looking out-of-shape after Hazard troubles

REAL MADRID fans have been left worried and bemused after pictures emerged of Isco in training looking out of shape.
The star was left out of the weekend’s 3-1 El Clasico win after limited action this season.

And the images, which have stunned some Real Madrid fans, perhaps go some way to explaining why.
Supporters were left questioning his physical state, with the 28-year-old looking podgy and scruffy in training pics.
The Spaniard appeared a long way from the fit athlete he was a few years ago, when he was regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world.
Isco has been limited to only 148 minutes of on-field action this season and fans are concerned they may not see much more of him in the near future.

His manager, Zinedine Zidane, when asked about the midfielder after Madrid lost to Cadiz last week, mostly sidestepped the question.
He said: “We are all in the same boat and criticism makes us stronger. We know we are Madrid and there is criticism after a game like the one the other day.
“We can only get back to work. The good thing is that there is a game every three days. We deserved the criticism the other day, and me before anyone – not just the players, they fight.
“We want to change the dynamics. I have no doubts about anything.

“The other day was a bad day, we want to change things, Isco more than anyone, I have no doubts.”

Isco not looking fit man.. I still believe in him but he gotta turn it around. I have a feeling he’s going to be needed heavily later on in the season.

Isco was substituted at half time during that game and did not appear in the victory against Barcelona or in the shock defeat against Shakhtar in the Champions League.
Social media users were quick to jump on Isco’s new look.
One posted that they suspected Isco was eating McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Another said they still believed in him but he ‘gotta turn it around.’
The Real Madrid man’s transformation is similar to Eden Hazard’s infamous weight gain.
Following his move from Chelsea, some fans blasted him piling on a couple of pounds during the summer.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play against Lionel Messi’s Barcelona and when will the Juventus star’s coronavirus test happen?

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S return for Juventus in their massive Champions League tie against Barcelona is up in the air as he awaits the results of a THIRD Covid-19 test.
Ronaldo sat out the 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona on Sunday after being told to self isolate because of a positive coronavirus test while on international duty.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was also unable to face Dynamo Kiev last Tuesday and his participation in this week’s Champions League game with Barcelona is also in doubt.
Why isn’t Cristiano Ronaldo playing for Juventus?
Ronaldo played for Portugal in their draw with France during the international break and was expected to feature against Sweden.
But the former Man Utd and Real Madrid star returned a positive test for Covid-19 and left Portugal’s training camp.
He is currently self isolating and has reportedly displayed no symptoms.

It has also been revealed Ronaldo has been sleeping separately from partner Georgina Rodriguez and his four children while isolating.

Ronaldo travelled from Portugal to Turin on a private air ambulance – but hit back at suggestions he’s broken protocol in the process.
CR7 said: “I did not break any protocol.
“They’re saying that I broke Italian laws but it’s all a lie.

“I spoke with my team and we have the responsibility to do things right.
“Everything was done with authorisation. Principally for the Italian man (Italian sports minister Vincenzo Spadaforo) whose name I’m not going to say, it’s a lie, I abided by all the protocols.”

When will he return to action?
Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-awaited reunion with Barcelona and Lionel Messi could also be in doubt, after he returned a second negative test on Wednesday.
Ronaldo will now have one final test 24 hours before the match in the hope of being able to play.
If he tests positive again, he’s likely to make his Juventus return at Spezia on November 1.
Juve boss Andrea Pirlo said on Saturday: “As far as Cristiano Ronaldo is concerned, there has been no news. We await the results of the swabs.
“We did them this morning. He underwent the test at his home and if there is new news it will be communicated.”

Porto boss Sergio Conceicao slams ‘extremely unpleasant’ Pep Guardiola over Man City boss’ attitude and ‘ugly words’

PEP GUARDIOLA has been branded ‘extremely unpleasant’ by Porto boss Sergio Conceicao.
Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Porto in the Champions League was a bad-tempered affair which saw the coaches clash on the touchline more than once.

A number of decisions by referee Andris Treimanis split opinion and the Portuguese side were left feeling hard done by at the Etihad.
Conceicao told the media after his side’s defeat: “I’ve got a lot to learn from Pep Guardiola, in the way he pressures referees, talks to opposition players and opposition dugout.
“He’s a fantastic example. I have to learn this. We were angels compared to the other dugout.
“He spoke about our country using ugly words. Guardiola’s attitude was extremely unpleasant.

“The whole Manchester City dugout was because if anybody should have been complaining, it was the Porto bench, because we were extremely hard done by.
“I have to apologise to the referees in Portugal, because I complain when I think we are wronged, but comparing the officials of this game and those upstairs in the VAR, international referees have a lot to learn from ours in Portugal.”

Porto were left fuming at the incident which saw City awarded their equaliser.

Ilkay Gundogan appeared to land on goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin’s shin in the build-up to the home side winning a penalty, with Pepe’s barge on Raheem Sterling also questioned by Porto.
The former Real Madrid defender was also denied a spot-kick when tumbling under Joao Cancelo’s challenge.
And the two sides clashed late on after Fernandinho took exception to the Porto bench’s demands for Sterling to be booked.

The refereeing had a big bearing on the outcome of this match.
    Sergio Conceicao

Conceicao continued: “The refereeing had a big bearing on the outcome of this match. Marchesin has his leg in a bad state right now because he was fouled before the penalty award.
“At the end of the first half, Pepe is pushed in the back in City’s box, which should have been a penalty and the chance for us to go into the break leading.
“Finally, the foul that led to the 2-1 goal is no foul at all in my opinion.”

Cristiano Ronaldo tests positive for coronavirus for second time and will MISS Juventus clash with Barcelona

CRISTIANO RONALDO has tested positive for coronavirus for a second time, according to reports.
The Juventus star had already been diagnosed with the illness while on Portugal duty earlier in the month.

But nine days after that positive test, Ronaldo is still infectious.
According to Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha, the 35-year-old’s latest results came back on Thursday.
And this second diagnosis will rule Ronaldo out of Juve’s Champions League clash with Barcelona next week.

Andrea Pirlo’s side were without the forward as they dropped points away to Crotone on the weekend before beating Dynamo Kyiv.
On Sunday, they host Hellas Verona ahead of welcoming Barcelona to Turin three days later.
Self-isolation guidelines confirm Ronaldo’s absence for that clash, with Uefa demanding a negative test well in advance of the game.
The former Manchester United star is holed up in Turin while he overcomes the illness.

On Wednesday, he posted an Instagram video of himself working out on an exercise bike – while sporting a new shaved head look.

He captioned the post: “Success in life is not measured by what you achieve, but by the obstacles you overcome.”
Ronaldo’s first positive test, confirmed on October 13, meant he sat out Portugal’s Nations League win over Sweden.
The night before his diagnosis, the forward attended a dinner with the entire squad where social distancing did not appear to be observed.
An air ambulance flew Ronaldo back to Italy last week.

Last week, he was said to be ‘doing well’ with no symptoms of the deadly disease.
Ronaldo’s mother Dolores Aveiro stated: “He’s doing well, thank God.
“Unfortunately I can’t be with him but I’m supporting him from a distance.”

Sadio Mane injury update as Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals winger has dead leg after Ajax win

SADIO MANE picked up a dead leg during Liverpool’s win against Ajax last night but Jurgen Klopp is not too concerned.
The Senegalese forward was replaced by Takumi Minamino after an hour in Amsterdam which left Reds fans worried he would be out for weeks.

Klopp’s men took all three points from the Champions League Group D clash thanks to Nicolas Tagliafico’s 35th minute own goal.
And the German moved quickly to update supporters on Mane’s injury.
He said: “Sadio has a dead leg and deals with it.

“It’s still painful but not a problem. When he doesn’t play he has ice on it.”
Liverpool were also forced into a change at the back after Jordan Pickford’s horror challenge on Virgil van Dijk during Saturday’s Merseyside derby ended the Dutchman’s season.
Joe Gomez and Fabinho – usually a holding midfielder – started at the back together and Klopp was pleased with what he saw from the Brazilian.
Asked to comment on Fabinho’s performance, Klopp said: “Good but even he can play better.

“This combo with Joe they’d never played together.

“They need to get used to each other and the verbal demands of that position to help midfielders. There’s a lot to improve but that’s good.
“In our situation it helps when the boys ease the pressure on the situation. Fab can play this position, he likes it.
“He wouldn’t enjoy right-back as much.
“We have to keep these boys fit and they can help.
“Fab I am not surprised he plays well otherwise we’d need a solution.”

Pep Guardiola’s side came from behind after Luis Diaz put the Portuguese champs ahead.
Sergio Aguero’s penalty, Ilkay Gundogan’s free-kick and Ferran Torres’ goal on his City Champions League debut secured the comeback victory.
But Portuguese centre-back Pepe, 37, let his frustration get the better of him late in the second-half.
The former Real Madrid star screamed at Sterling, 25, after the England forward went down softly, in his eyes, in search of a penalty.

Pepe then appeared to drag his knee into Sterling’s body, knocking him over in a moment of madness.
Somehow the Porto skipper escaped a red card despite VAR being in use during the Champions League.
And fuming fans couldn’t believe renowned hardman Pepe had not been given his marching orders.
One said: “How has Pepe not been sent off for that knee on Sterling.”

Another added: “How does Pepe get away with that assault on Sterling.”
A third commented: “I don’t understand how either. Seems like VAR went to sleep once again.”
Sterling appeared to escape any injury from the incident but City did suffer a huge blow with the news Fernandinho is out for up to six weeks with what looked like a muscle strain in his leg.
